I was tagged by none other than @rebelwritingwild, so without further ado, here we go!
1.) Have you ever based a character off someone you know?
You know, I think it's safe to say that all writers instill even the smallest fragments of themselves and the people they know into the characters they write. I do believe that life imitates art, and art imitates life. I have written-and I plan on writing- characters that are based off of real people.
2.) What's your favorite book and why?
This one's a bit of a tough one to answer, if I'm honest. Theres been so many good books that I've read over the ages, it's hard to pick just one. If I had to choose one, I'd say that it would be The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.
3.) Which character is most like you?
You know, I try to not have my characters act like me too much (because they have to be themselves) but I guess I see a lot of me in Adam.
4.) What Greek god or goddess would your main characters be children of?
Alayla isn't the daughter of a Goddess in The Fables of Gion (my WIP). She contains within her the very essence of a goddess. As for the others, Helios/Ra would be Aurora's dad, Adam would be the weird son of Athena and Aries (gross, I know, but I had to think of something) and Chris would be the direct descendant of an angel. The others aren't really big on the whole "God" thing. At least not until Universal Knights II (my WIP).
5.) Do any of your characters know absolutely nothing about fighting and self defense and why havent they learned?
Literally 50% of my writing is combat oriented. So these fools better know how to fight, or I swear to God-
6.) Assign a theme song to your WIP?
"New Way to Bleed" by Evanescence. This one's for my current WIP, Blood Tournaments: Requiem.
7.) Are you a fanfic writer and if so, talk about one of them?
I'm not a fanfiction writer, but I've got an IMMENSE amount of respect for them! Truly, they're a wonder to the world. ^_^
8.) Which of your characters would kick the others' butts in Mario Kart?
Oh, Titus would win it all day. He is a champiON of video games, and every time he wins, he dabs.
9.) How do you go about plotting your stories?
I (sort of?) have a formula: Write down any and all of your ideas that come to mind, trim/combine/save the ideas that may not be immediately important to the main plot, jot down characters and their information, make a time line that explains generally what your like to see in the chapter, and then write! But writing on the fly after you've made plans like that is just as essential.
10.) Which two genres do you think make the best crossover/duo?
I think a urban fantasy is always a great combo. It's fascinating to see how some people imagine fairy tales playing out in real life.
11.) Your top three characters as vines?
Titus: "YEET!"
Sir Percy: "Yeah, but that backflip tho!"
The Guardian: "Bitch I hope the fuck you do!" (Sorry for my language, folks, I did it for the sake of answering the question)
Thanks again for the tag! Truly, I appreciate it! If you have any more, please send them my way!
