Maybe this isn't accurate, but it's so funny to me how often your Pompey basically goes, hey! hey Crassus! pay attention to ME!

oh, there is 100% an element of that at play with my version of those two. part of it is bc it's a straightforward escalation of crassus going 'I'm not calling you magnus lmao,' and pompey trying to wrangle him into a position where crassus would finally have to submit to him, only for crassus to go, nah.
