Minerva Delecroix - The Shroud Designation: K6-31
Manufactured shortly after the establishment of the Synth Retention Bureau, Minny was created for entertainment purposes, rather than for maintenance or for security. Entertainment being a longstanding industry within’ The Institute, K6-31 was programmed by the Director of Entertainment, Michael Feeley, to play Minerva Delecroix -- a character in an ongoing series which aired every Friday night called When the Camera’s Not Rolling. Minerva was as such conceived from Feeley’s own imagination. Restricted to on-set interactions and being completely isolated from outside stimuli, K6-31 was led to believe that she was indeed Minerva Delecroix, living out her days in a luxurious world which was invented around her with cameos and appearances made by other synths. When the Camera’s Not Rolling, a detective drama, starred Minerva Delecroix -- a rising starlet whom becomes ensnared in the criminal world in return for fame. Each episode was to serve as a lesson to viewers that the outside was immoral and corrupt. As time progressed, Delecroix’s personality progressed and evolved by itself. Toward the last two seasons of her career, producers agreed that Minerva learning the real truth about her circumstances through a trickle of clues would be an interesting way to wrap the show up, at which time they would recall her and begin a new series with a different model to take her place. The show itself would stand to help Minny develop vital survival skills however, such as weapon discipline, interpersonal communication, and lock-picking. By the time she was made fully aware of the actual circumstances of her existence, she had already made plans to escape.
Minny likes to stay as clean as possible -- a grand task considering the state of the world outside The Institute. She is most commonly identified by her eyepatch, which hides a gruesome battle scar that she received during her fight out of The Institute. Exercising old tendencies, she favors the Silver Shroud attire as it gives her an excuse to act from time-to-time when necessary. She is extremely charismatic, and talks with the same opulence modeled after Norma Desmond in the movie Sunset Boulevard. In many ways Minny is ashamed of her existence. Fearful of another deception, she has completely rejected the help of The Railroad and has instead resorted to exploring the Commonwealth alone to see what corner of the world she can chisel out for herself. (That is until she meets a synth detective that offers her a job after seeing how gifted she is in the art of persuasion). Minny has a hard time trusting others. She has a tendency to over-gesticulate during normal conversation and is drawn to extravagant things such as jewelry and clothing (especially pre-war items).

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIVOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
11. How does your Raider/Sole travel the Commonwealth?
Used to travel with his brother before the deathclaw incident. Always travels with his pet night stalker, Dagny. After he met his husband he always traveled with him and both of their pets.
Much later when he found out his brother was still alive and both reunited he would travel with his brother, his husband, their pets and his brother’s automatron, Kat.
He’s very particular about traveling with adequate supplies such as plenty of Stimpaks, RadAway, Rad-X, clean water and maaaaaaayyyyybe a particular chem or two. Plenty of ammo and sufficient weapons.

theraiderradiostation’s OC Profile
Tumblr media
+ Basic Statistics
Name: Blake Reyes (née Nguyen)
Age: 236 (chronologically), 26 (biologically)
Nationality: Asian-American
Hometown: She was a military brat, so she never really had one
Current Residence: The Nuka World Red Rocket. She’s built up a rather large town there for herself, her companions, her slaves, and many raider guards. She also has many “backups” across the Commonwealth, like Elianora’s Thirty-Yard Bunker and various other player home mods.
Occupation: Pre-War: K9 police officer. Post-war: Raider Overboss, mercenary
Talents/Skills: Lockpicking, hacking, fighting (particularly bladed melee), and leadership/management skills. Key perks include Big Leagues, Armorer, Blacksmith, Rooted, Locksmith, Inspirational, and Hacker.
Siblings (describe relationship): N/A. Blake is an only child.
Spouse (describe relationship): Nathan “Nate” Reyes. Blake and Nate fell in love very quickly, getting married far too soon. Blake fell out of love with Nate by the time that Shaun was born, though she still cared for him. She kept her feelings to herself and stayed with him for his and Shaun’s sakes, despite unconsciously resenting it. after witnessing Nate’s death, she mourns not as a widow would, but more as someone who lost a friend.
Children (describe relationship): Shaun Reyes. Not much to say here.
Significant Others (describe relationship): Blake is in a polyamorous relationship with both Cait and Gage.
Relationship skills: Her best friends are MacCready, Danse, Strong, Ada, and Old Longfellow.
+ Physical Characteristics:
Height: 5′2 (157.5 cm)
Weight: 120 lbs (54.4 kg)
Race: Asian
Eye Color: Light brown
Hair Color: Jet black
Glasses? No
Skin color: Sun-kissed, lightly tanned
Shape of Face: Heart shaped? (idk, someone who knows something about this shit tell me based on the picture provided.)
Distinguishing features: Large scar on the left side of her lip, black war paint around her eyes, many tattoos on her torso, neck, and arms (as soon as I can get the proper mods working, that is).
How does she dress? Her style is a mix of biker and raider. She often wears black road leathers with a full set of sturdy/heavy, shadowed metal armor, or the various raider outfits in Elianora’s mod Armour Compendium. For everyday-wear in which she doesn’t need to be armored up, she’ll typically wear a black leather jacket and jeans.
Mannerisms: She’s sarcastic as hell, making jokes at just about everything and never really taking a situation seriously. She also has a habit of twirling or playing with knives when she gets nervous or bored.
Habits: She smokes, drinks, and takes quite a lot of chems, particularly Jet.
Health: She’s in surprisingly good health for someone who smokes, drinks, and huffs Jet as much as she does. That probably won’t last long, though, so Cait and Gage have been trying to get her to quit, or at least ease up.
Hobbies: Weapon and armor modification, adventuring, building raider outposts, fighting at the Arena, playing cards, training/sparring
Favorite Sayings: When asking a companion to head out into the Commonwealth, she’ll typically ask if they’re “ready to fuck some shit up.” Also anything having to do with the word “bitch.”
Speech patterns: She’s just about as foul-mouthed as Gage, with a strong fondness for saying “bitch.”
Disabilities: None.
Style (Elegant, shabby etc.): Biker/raider. Lots of flannel, lots of black leather, lots of black in general.
Greatest flaw: Her disdainful, sarcastic attitude towards nearly everyone
Best quality: Her loyalty. It is difficult to earn her trust or respect, but once you do, she will always stick by you.
+ Intellectual/Mental/Personality Attributes and Attitudes
Educational Background: She had a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Massachusetts Bay University, which Nate jokingly called her law degree, not that it matters much anymore.
Intelligence Level: Above-average. On the SPECIAL, her intelligence is a 7.
Any Mental Illnesses? PTSD and claustrophobia as a result of the Great War and events of Vault 111. However, Blake believes herself to be perfectly mentally sound.
Learning Experiences: Her first few days in the Commonwealth were quite the learning experience.
Character’s short-term goals in life: Finding Shaun and getting her revenge by destroying the entirety of the Institute. Beyond that, she’s really just going along with Gage’s plans and goals.
Character’s long-term goals in life: She doesn’t really have any. She’ll figure those out once the Institute is destroyed.
How does Character see himself/herself? Blake knows she isn’t a good person, but she quite frankly doesn’t give a shit. She’ll do right by herself, her trusted few friends, and her gangs, but that’s it. And despite being Overboss and leader of a bunch of raiders, she still considers herself to be a loner.
How does Character believe he/she is perceived by others? Blake believes herself to be respected by her companions and the raiders under her command. She’d much rather the other raiders see her as a leader and one of their own than a boss shouting down orders without doing shit to back it up, and she hopes she comes off that way.
How self-confident is the character? On a scale of 1-10, she’s about an 8.
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof? Blake is largely ruled by emotion. If it came down to percentages, I’d say she’s ruled 70% by emotion, 30% by logic.
What would most embarrass this character? Public defeat. She will avoid doing anything she knows she will lose, and if she ever wants to try her hand at a new skill, she will spend hours practicing in private before she unveils it.
+ Emotional Characteristics
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Introvert or Extrovert? Introvert
How does the character deal with anger? She lets everyone know how pissed off she is, mostly in the form of irritated bitching. In extreme cases, she’ll react with violence, picking fights she knows she can win just so she can stomp the life out of something.
With sadness? Blake bottles that shit up, viewing it as a weakness more than anything, especially out in the Commonwealth. She tries to outright ignore it until it passes, but she’ll reach for the whiskey more often. She only breaks down crying when she’s alone and her emotions have reached a severe tipping point.
With conflict? Blake will not back down from a fight, for better or worse. If she perceives that someone is trying to start shit with her, she will pick up a blade. They either cut the shit or wind up dead. If she has to deal with someone else’s conflict, like two raiders starting shit with each other, her advice will often be to cut the shit and/or fight it out in the Cola Cars Arena.
With change? She’s incredibly resistant to change, often responding with anger and frustration.
With loss? Much the same way she deals with sadness.
What does the character want out of life? At this point, she doesn’t really know. She wants the Institute destroyed, but after that? Who knows?
What would the character like to change in his/her life? Blake often wishes to return to pre-war life. Thinking of the past makes her homesick, and she wishes she could go back.
What motivates this character? Revenge, bloodlust, and greed
What frightens this character? As a result of the events of the Vault, Blake has gained severe claustrophobia and a fear of all things cryogenics.
What makes this character happy? Killing
Is the character judgmental of others? Absolutely. There is a right way and a wrong way to doing shit, and if someone is doing shit wrong, she will judge the hell out of them. She doesn’t like people much at all.
Is the character generous or stingy? Stingy. There ain’t no point in being generous, as it just puts you in a worse off situation. She won’t ever do anyone a favor unless they’re a trusted friend or they give her a pocketful of caps for her trouble. One must be selfish in this new world in order to survive, as helping others can lead to them taking advantage of you and putting a knife in your back.
Is the character generally polite or rude? Rude. She’ll react to any situation with a joking and sarcastic attitude, regardless of who she is speaking to. She will not treat anyone with respect until she believes they have earned it.
+ Spiritual Characteristics
Does the character believe in God? No
What are the character’s spiritual beliefs? She doesn’t really have any particular belief system. She believes that something happens to your soul when you die, but doesn’t know what, nor does she want to think about it.
Is religion or spirituality a part of this character’s life? No

At first Maple assumed that the military frequency AF95 had been picked up by her Pipboy by mistake, but over time when the chatter was unchanging -- Codsworth and herself came to the consensus that the group of soldiers had been abandoned, and this message was a generalized cry for assistance. Attracted by the scent of blood from the Brotherhood’s fallen comrades and their weakened defenses, a myriad of feral ghouls stood, like a fleshy tide of hollow husks, waiting to swallow the Cambridge Police Station whole.
Danse did not care for outside assistance. Civilians at best were untrustworthy, and lack of contact with the Brotherhood left his company desperate and vulnerable to raider attacks. Their low provisions were making them weak, and the trickle of assaults had reduced them to a constant state of fatigue.
Knight Rhys might have been the only one vocal about his distrust in the newly arrived guest, but he certainly wasn’t alone in his caution. Danse perceived her abilities in the battlefield to be concerning rather than impressive. One lonely civilian, reducing scores of ghouls to waste with the aid of her autonomous Mr. Handy. It did not sit well with him. Their tour to the Arcjet Systems did not help to foster much faith in her either...
It would take him some time to reach the resolve that she had activated the engine core over his head simply by accident, rather than it being an attempt on his life. It would take the Paladin longer to realize that she was one of the few he could trust his life with.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
8. How is your Raider/Sole with weapons and technology? Can they handle the new challenges or are they dependent on help?
He was trained since he was a child to manage any and all sorts of weapons. He's damn good with them and especially good with his anti-material sniper rifle.
He can hack any terminal and automatrons he comes across but that's as far as his knowledge of technology goes. He can't fix damaged terminals (broken screens, dented, broken keyboards and so on), if any he's working with gets damaged he would probably hit it with a wrench out of frustration. Same with robots. Like, sorry, bud, that limb is useless now. He'll probably just shoot it off.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
4. Is there an event or happening your Raider/Sole would like to erase from their past (before October 23rd 2077?) Why?
The day Loke died.
Before Jelani lived in Boston he and his brother lived in New Vegas and due to their idiotic shenanigans and short tempers they had to leave before the NCR could get to them. In short, they killed a few NCR Veterans, stole their armors, kept two and burned the rest.
Loke managed to get in with a caravan that needed a few hired guns to help them across the Wasteland to safely get them to Boston and so they made the trek to Boston. The caravan had a map with a very specific route that other caravans swore was the safest route so they followed it. A few days from their destination they’d run into a problem. Their route had become inaccessible and try as they might they couldn’t find a way through it.
Jelani himself scouted a little ahead and found a clear and quiet detour through an old train station. Loke had suggested another route, it was thick with trees and brushes and every panic button in Jelani went off. In the end Jelani got his way and they passed through the old train station that so happened to be home to a massive two deathclaws.
Long story short, some people made it out, others didn’t. Jelani had watched his brother, the only family he had, fall to his death when he had lured one of the deathclaws away from the group. The plan was to lure the creature to the middle of a nearby bridge and destroy it while the creature was on it so it would fall. Things didn’t go as planned though.
This event affected Jelani a lot more than he knew. He spent days sitting at the edge of the broken bridge in a comatose like state. The caravan tried to get him to move but he threatened to kill them if they didn’t leave him be. Eventually they moved on but not before leaving some supplies with Dagny.
After a few days Jelani moved out without saying a single word and actually found his way into the Commonwealth. He barricaded himself and Dagny in the first place he found and drank. He just drank until he was drunk out of his mind and dropped on the floor. He blamed himself for his brother’s death and in his despair and guilt he loaded his gun with a single bullet and pressed it against his head. The only reason why he didn’t pull the trigger was because of Dagny. She sat on his lap whimpering and shaking. She’d put up a good fight against the deathclaw but she was only a small night stalker. She’d been injured, was hungry, tired and thirsty, and Jelani knew that if he killed himself she wouldn’t survive long. It wasn’t like anyone else would take her in, people were always afraid of her despite her friendly personality. So Jelani put aside his want to kill himself and tended to Dagny’s injuries, fed her, gave her some water and both moved on to find a more suitable place to sleep.
Jelani still blames himself for Loke’s death and he still plays with the idea of killing himself but tries to drown it in alcohol and cutting himself up as a way to purge some of the guilt.
BONUS: Loke survived the fall. He got fucked up but he survived. They reunite later.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
3. Tell us about your Raider/Sole’s family - parents, siblings? Souse/significant other? Children?
Well, Jelani’s parents (Sanaa and Ingvarr) died when he was 5-years-old. Sanaa was part of the Brotherhood of Steel and Ingvarr was part of the NCR, both went AWOL when they married. What little he knows about them is because Loke told him. After they died Loke pretty much became mom and dad for him. It was kinda scary for him to become a parent to a 5-year-old child while he was only 14-years-old but he pulled through for his brother. Wasn’t that difficult thanks to the help of a friend of the family who checked in on them often and helped Loke whenever he was overwhelmed.
Their parents thought it was always a good idea to prepare the kids as soon as they were able to stand and hold a weapon, since Loke was the oldest he learned everything Sanaa and Ingvarr knew from years of military training. Loke learned how to properly hold a weapon, how to identify each weapon, what ammo was used for what, how to maintain them, how to identify edible plants and animals, what items to always have on them, how to treat a varity of wounds and so on. Loke did the same thing with Jelani. Since little his brother taught him everything their parents taught him and as Loke learned more he passed it on to Jelani in the hopes that he would be able to survive on his own in case anything happened to him. Loke was also the one who taught him how to use a sniper rifle. How wind and even humidity would affect the trajectory and speed, how to pick a perfect spot for the perfect shot, how to control his breathing and even how to shoot between heartbeats.
Besides teaching him how to survive Loke took great care of Jelani and made sure he was happy, healthy and had everything he needed. It was rough at first and there were too many times when Loke starved or remained sick just so Jelani wouldn’t go hungry or be sick. As long as his little brother was okay Loke was fine. It wasn’t until Loke was a little older and could pass as an adult that he managed to find a place among Talon Company and soon the caps easily rolled in. He did plenty of questionable things and even some he regretted to the point of crying himself to sleep but Loke woud do anything to take care of his brother and himself.
As for Jelani’s husband let’s just say they were a perfect match for each other. They complete and compliment each other. Jelani’s a little more serious, organized and far more responsible. He’s rather cold and calculating and tries to be at least two steps ahead of his enemies. Also a well known sadist, if he takes his time with his victims he’ll make sure they feel everything. He is stealthy, smart, an excellent marksman at any range and could give just about any military trained person a run for their money, he does better out in the Wasteland than in any city or town. He can hack into any computer, rewire any robot and make any weapon mods as long as it’s possible. He can also treat any wound, from small cuts and scrapes to broken bones. The only thing he has trouble with is radiation sickness.
Angelus is wild and unpredictable in his moves. Fast runner and climber. He’s charismatic, unorganized, thinks everything is a joke and responsibilities can suck his dick. No lockpick is impossible for him and he can pick them fast as well. He’ll pickpocket anyone clean in seconds from just bumping into them and they wouldn’t be the wiser. He can make any mod to any armor he so chooses as long as he has the material for it. Just for fun he has a heavily modded Power Armor back home he likes to tinker with though he isn’t a fan of using them. He prefers small weapons, pistols and SMGs but his very favorite are blades. They’re quick, easy to hide and he takes full advantage of this. He has plenty of blades hidden anywhere on his person and he knows how to use them well, his victims won’t feel a thing unless he wants them to.
Full on masochist. Has a water phobia, scared to death of it and whatever lurks in it. Animal lover. 5'11", really skinny and on the pale side. Loves flowers and won't hesitate to wear any on his hair when he finds a really pretty one. Has a scar tunning down the right side of his face, tells everyone some grandiose lie about how he got it. Truth is he got high on a bunch of chems, and tipped over a few brahmin and one of headbutted him and the horn almost took out his eye. His back is covered in scars from fight off a yao guai. Turns out the one time he did something decent for someone else almost got him killed.
As for them having kids…noooooooooo. Neither of them want kids. They’re too young anyways, Jelani’s 19 and Angelus is 18 and to be honest the thought of having a kid pisses them off.

Maple Martin. Daughter. Mother. Widow.
Maple is haunted from losing the loves of her life and consumed with the prospect of enacting revenge on anyone connected to her husband’s death. This new world she finds herself in she quietly resents, but -- with no choice but to move forward -- does so begrudingly.
A part of her considers that she’s already dead. A ghost -- walking the plains of her own little personal hell.
Tumblr media
Burned on one side of her face when they were initially escaping the explosion, she’s elected not to pursue any reconstructive surgery, so that it may serve as a reminder of that day. She favors little accouterments that remind her of before the war. She keeps her husbands’ wedding ring on a chain around her neck and close to her heart. She wears a little eye-liner and a bit of mascara -- unfortunate vanities that have carried over from her pre-war existence. She always totes a tube of lipstick with her. On a ‘good day’ she puts a little on to feel pretty.
Maple is stolid, yet a quiet cyclone of anger. She possesses some sense of what she believes justice should be, yet with it comes the burden of doing some questionable things. A part of her feels that she only exists to finish what was started all those years ago and nothing more. It is only through meeting with various companions along her way that she begins to feel hopeful for a future in the Commonwealth and begins to develop some dim aspirations to leave it in a better state than how she found it, instead of watching the world burn around her. ((I will do these as I can. I want to start drawing responses to these scenarios, so it will possibly take longer to do these.))

30 Day Raider/Sole Survivor Meme, Day 9
Original post  I got this from can be found here
Time for favorites #1
Song: Of the songs in the game, Blake’s favorites would be Train Train by Magnolia and The Wanderer by Dion. They’re both just such catchy songs. She does love some good ole’ rock and roll, though, but there don’t seem to be a whole lot of holotapes of her kind of music. Assuming that AC/DC was actually formed in the Fallout universe, her favorite song would be Shoot to Thrill.
Color: Black
Ice Cream: Black cherry.
Flower: She never really was a big fan of flowers before or after the war, but she does think fever blossoms are neat. Not only do they glow (which is fucking awesome), but they are so very useful for making her beloved fury grenades. It’s also pretty good for tea.
Scent: She loves the smell of cinnamon. However, there ain’t any cinnamon around anymore, at least not in the Commonwealth, which pisses her off immensely.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
30. Is there anything you always wanted to tell your Raider/Sole? Write them a letter … or a memo.
J, I know what you got in the beginning was almost like a dream. You had fun, were trained very well to survive most anything, had your brother with you and even if it was just the two of you you were more loving and functional than even entire families I've known and met. Including my own so you and Loke are kind of what I'd always wanted in a way so that's why I always portray both of you that way. Sure it was fun. Then everything you had and loved was taken from you. Worse yet it played out in a way that made you feel like it was all because of you and no matter who told you that it wasn't your fault, there was no way you could've known that would happen, the guilt ALWAYS won and you even tried to end your own life over it. You were dragged through the mud, beaten down and kicked while you were still down and somehow you got through it because that's what your brother taught you and you're not one to really quit.
Then it actually happened, you actually fell hard for someone who fell for you as well and wasn't trying to use you and things started to get better and then it was like everything had fixed itself when you finally ran into your brother who you thought had died to save you. It was like a dream again, leading a gang of raiders, doing whatever you three wanted and when you wanted and once in a while doing something nice for someone else. You may be a raider but you're not a fucking asshole. Just an asshole.
Still have plenty more to do and honestly, out of all the AUs I have done with you and the others this is one of the most fun I have had in developing and working on. You're pretty close to your original version but it was fun letting you be more of a villain and broken as a person. So we'll see what's next as time rolls on.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
28. Is there a song that describes your Raider/Sole? If yes, why did you chose that song?
You know what this was so hard to think of and honestly I went with a typical choice for Jelani even though I didn't really want to so I looked around a bit more. Finally decided that "Enjoy the Silence" by Lacuna Coil kinda fit the bill.
The song is more of a personal choice. I find that this song is sad with a little sprinkle of a false sense of hope over it, which is pretty much how Jelani has developed in the Commonwealth. Basically everything he does there is to either make others feel as bad as he does or on a rare occasion of clarity he also wanted to get over it but would revert back to a pile of angry depression and the cycle would start all over again. I'm probably misinterpreting the song but that's just how it feels to me.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
27. Is your Raider/Sole addicted to anything? Chems? Alcohol?
Alcohol and Jet. Since he was a teenager he was always kind of drinking a bit more than Loke would have wanted so he kept him in check. After Loke's "death" that's pretty much all Jelani did. Drink. He'd drink himself into a stupor which often made him angry and would make the guilt all the worse. The combination of anger, guilt and drunkenness often led Jelani to hurting himself just so it wouldn't hurt so bad.
After a while and realizing that all alcohol did was make him angry and guilty and leave him with an unbearable hangover the following day he turned to Jet when he realized the stuff would numb him for a while. While on Jet he couldn't feel a thing. He didn't feel angry, the guilt went away, if only for a little bit, and everything slowed down. This led to him abusing the chem until one night he was feeling absolutely shitty and he began to drink. When he began to feel the guilt triple he used Jet to numb it but it didn't last long so he kept using one right after the other until he overdosed. If it hadn't been for Dagny who had kept a close eye on him and ran to Angelus for help he would've died that night.
After that incident Angelus convinced him to take an Addictol to stop him from using Jet. He still drinks a bit but doesn't touch any chems, not really. Maybe some Psycho every now and then but never any Jet.

26. What is your Raider/Sole’s least favorite place in the Commonwealth? Why?
The Glowing Sea. The one thing that'll scare Jelani into an almost coma like state are deathclaws but radiation is a close second. There is no way in hell he'd ever set foot there or even near it. Not to mention that he's heard stories from people who have supposedly traveled there and somehow came back. Stories of deathclaws made bigger and stronger because of the radiation. It may be tall tales but he ain't risking it. They only reason why he'd ever risk going there is because of his brother or husband. Wveryone else can fuck off.

25. What is your Raider/Sole’s favorite place in the Commonwealth? Why?
Boston Public Library. Ever since he was little he loved to read and it's stuck with him into early adulthood. Once he found out about the location he wanted to go and when he did it was like setting a kid loose in a candy store. Most of the books were in almost perfect shape and there was a bit of everything, history, fiction, nonfiction--just everything. Between him and Angelus they managed to crack open the terminals containing "overdue" books so they set them back in the shelves.
Whenever they go there they easily spend hours as Jelani looks through and picks out a few to take home. He takes them back when he's done so that others who want to can borrow them as well. Sometimes he'll pick out something along the lines of fiction and read it to Angelus since he can't read while Dagny and Maya play with the Protectrons or whatever other friendly person is looking around.
That is Jelani's most favorite place in the entire Commonwealth.

30 DAY RAIDER/SOLE SURVIOR MEME by theraiderradiostation
24. What does your Raider/Sole think about the Institute?
People of science making extraordinary progress in a world that fell apart by war and regressed to an almost primative state? Hell, yeah! He's rooting for them...to an extent. He has no real idea what their end game is so because of that factor alone he doesn't trust them at all but he does admire their work. He doesn't like the unfair treatment they give to the human like synths though so for that alone he isn't too crazy about them. You can say he admires their work but not the people themselves.
