“Woof, who knew it’d be dead at a Scottish pub on a Friday night?”

Well, technically it was Saturday morning if you wanted to go by those metrics. Half past midnight and the evening had already lurched into the next. Faith figured a weekend away from London would be a nice opportunity to get out of work mode, as much as any one slayer could walk away from that stuff. There was a Scottish division of champions, in fact frequently overseen by Buffy herself- but whatever Blondie’s squad was doing might have been too effective. There weren’t even any undead in the establishment. Guess this was the break Faith had been wishing for.

Faith approached the bar and tossed a casual nod to a rather handsome gentleman seated there, quietly engaged with his own drink. She signaled to the bartender for another pint for herself and then climbed onto a stool with a buffer between the two of them.

“It usually this quiet ‘round here, or did I just get unfortunately lucky?”
