The last week or so you’ve probably been watching me put my classroom together just in like this picture. As we inch closer and closer to the first day of school, it becomes more of a reality that this school year is unprecedented. None of us have ever been in these situations and we are all just doing our best to move forward. My career choice is a bit different than most others...as I am in charge of other people’s children. That puts a lot of responsibility and pressure on someone, especially in times like these. Most schools have plans upon plans and backup plans for those plans... But when I sit down each night I can’t help but fight the urge to get lost in the “what if’s”. I’m getting delirious...🤪 I’m sure much like all the other teachers around the world right now! We have plans, but they are flexible...and will probably (or have already) change. For a planner like me, the unknown tends to be an anxiety inducer. My #cloffice (closet/office) had a fast track to getting finished this month... Why? Because now it’s my classroom, too! In the 12 years that I’ve been teaching I’ve never been in this position before... the future is unsure, my lessons are completely online, and instead of teaching to a class full of 5th-6th graders...I’m teaching to my 8 year that’s filming me and my 11 year old Weimaraner. Luckily because of Google Classroom & @usatestprepllc, my class assignments have been super easy to post and keep up with!
