Oblivious
Mattheo Riddle X Hufflepuff reader
Summery: Mattheo is in love with someone, and the reader navigates their way through it. Also Mattheo cant keep his hands to himself.
Warnings: Out of character maybe, Cursing, Friends to lovers, Language, some angst, This is long, fluff
Word count is just under 6k oops.
âThereâs the little badger.â Mattheo greeted as I sat in my usual spot right next to him.
I scrunched my nose up at the nickname he had given to me in our second year, a moniker that had yet to die. He bestowed it upon me after I refused to divulge my name in the first month of knowing him. So he cycled through various nick names before settling on my houseâs animal.
âHi Matty.â I spoke in a sing-song voice.
His lips quirked up as he rolled his eyes. He always acted like he hated the name, but I knew he secretly loved it. Instead of responding, he reached up and straightened out my tie that I had haphazardly thrown on. I was late this morning, which was no surprise. Being late was the hallmark of my personality.
âWe should get you a green one, since you are an honorary Slytherin at this point.â He said in a sarcastic tone, but his brown eyes sparkled with warmth.
âI could just take yours.â I whispered winking at him.
Mattheo froze for a moment, then let out a cough. His long fingers tugged my collar back down. Blaise made a stupid joke to Draco, Complete with an exaggerated kissy face. A small blush rose to my cheeks.
âThanks. You are the bestâ I said, interrupting the awkward tension.
He responded with a genuine smile, one that lingered for nearly twenty seconds before reverting to his usual scowl. Mattheo nudged a plate of food towards me. It was loaded with my favorite things, including a bowl of fruit topped with a generous pile of whipped creamâjust the way I liked it. My smile widened until it hurt.
I wasted no time in digging into the fruit. The sweetness of the whipped cream mingled with the tartness of the berries reminding me why it was the best. As soon as I took my first bite Mattheo wrapped an arm over my shoulders turning back to his conversation with his friends.
âWhat do you want to do this weekend?â Blaise asked, looking at everyone.
âI am going to Hogsmeade with Ron and Harry. They just asked me in the hall.â Mattheo glowered as I spoke, his arm falling down to my lower back.
âDitching us for the golden trio. Thatâs low Y/N.â Theo spoke through a mouthful of food.
âI have other friends, you know.âÂ
Everyone exchanged dubious glances, I spent about 95 percent of my time with the Slytherin boys, but I did have other friends. They just seemed to forget it. Draco scoffed. I took another bite of my food hiding my smile. My friends were jealous though they would never admit it.
âWhat if we meet-â My words trailed off as Mattheo used his finger to wipe away some cream on the corner of my mouth. His touch lingered a moment longer than necessary, awakening butterflies in my stomach.
âHey Mattheo.â A female voice said from behind us. We both turned to face her, moving as one.
It was a pretty Ravenclaw girl a year below us. She and Mattheo talked occasionally in classes and the hallway; she had even tutored him for a few months last year. The girl started to fiddle with her blue sweater, shuffling on her feet.
âI was wondering if you wanted to hang out on Saturday?â
Everyone at our table fell silent. Did she just ask him out on a date? I froze. We had all suspected she liked him, but we never knew how Mattheo felt about her. He was a man of few words when it came to feelings.
Mattheo looked right at me, his mouth opening and closing, words failing him. I giggled nervouslyâdid he like her after all? Was he nervous?
âHe is free. Letâs all meet in the Courtyard at 9? We can all head out together.â She nodded.
As she walked away, Mattheo squeezed my hand, mumbling something under his breath. I couldnât make out a single word he was saying.
I think I just got him a date, and it wasnât me. I pushed him in to another girlsâ arms. Merlin, I was dumb.
It was the end of the day, and it had passed by in a blur. I was making my way to the library so Mattheo and I could work on an essay for herbology together. The events of this morning were still raw in my mind, playing over and over. My heart hurt, and I wasnât entirely sure why.
âIs he ever going to tell her how he feels?â Theoâs voice echoed down the hall loud and clear.
âI mean itâs obvious. Mattheo is fooling no one.â Blaise added.
I gasped as I rounded the corner, my footsteps faltering. It felt like there was another crack added to my heart today. Why, though? I always knew there was going to eventually be a girl that wasnât just a casual hook up.
âMattheo is in love with someone?â I whispered, disbelief washing through me like a cold wave.
âNo, he just really likes this girl. She is-â Blaise smacked Theo, cutting off whatever else he was going to say.Â
âOwâ Theo rubbed his arm and glared at Blaise. Ever the dramatic one.
Mattheo never told me about liking anyone. I thought we were closer than that. And Merlin, I agreed to a date for him. What if it was the wrong girl and I just made things complicated? He could have just been looking for a way out of it. Maybe that was why he was tense all day.
âIt is not our place to say anythingâ Blaise bit out bitterly.
âOh.â
âWhy does it look like you two have offended my little badger?â Mattheo appeared; his eyebrow arched in curiosity as he looked at the two of them.
âUhmm- They. We.â I couldnât come up with a lie. My brain was trying to comprehend that Mattheo didnât tell me he liked someone.
He gently grabbed my hands, his touch warm and reassuring, making me face him. His dark eyes bore into mine, searching for an answer.Â
âDarling? Are you ok?â his tone was soft and filled with concern.
âYeah, yes. They were talking about sex.â I cringed internally. I wasnât that innocent, but what else could I say that would end the conversation?
I was getting secondhand embarrassment from myself if that was even possible.
He let out a loud laugh, which startled me to my core. I wasnât prepared for that reaction.
âI thought I was going to have to fight my best friends for you.â His tone held amusement, a playful glint in his eyes.
Blaise flipped him off, and Theo let out a protest. Mattheoâs hands moved from mine, pulling me into his embrace. His chest shook as he laughed some more. I buried my face into his chest, trying to hide my embarrassment. He smelled of cologne and rain.
âLetâs get to the library; we have an essay to write.â He took my bag from me, slinging it on his shoulder and held my hand as we walked to the library.
As we walked, I couldnât help but replay the conversation I had overheard. Mattheo liked someone- no, loved someone. My mind was becoming a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Every glance, every touch we shared had felt loaded with unspoken words. Was I reading into it?
When we finally arrived at the library, the familiar scent of books and the quiet ambiance did little to calm my racing thoughts. Mattheo led us to a secluded table, away from the prying eyes of the other students. He set my bag down and pulled out a chair for me, a small gesture that made my heart flutter despite everything.
As we worked, I found myself stealing glances at him, wondering what secrets he was hiding behind that stupid charming smile of his.
We were in the middle of our work... Well, he was. I was reading the same page over and over, my eyes glazing over the words. I was still focused on trying to figure out who the girl he liked was. He hardly talked to anyone when he was with me, which was pretty much all day.
I let out a gasp dropping the book on the table with a thud. The librarian shushed me from her desk, eyes narrowed in disapproval. Mattheoâs hand instinctively reached out and rubbed circles on my back as if it was second nature to comfort me.
Was I in the way? The reason he couldnât get the girl.
No, he would tell me. Mattheo was blunt like that⊠but he didnât tell me he liked someone.
âI can tell you are overthinking little badger.â His thumb smoothed out the worry lines on my forehead. His touch was soft and comforting.
Gods, why did my heart hurt so much?
âOh, you know I just realized my outline was wrong. I need to start over.â I lied to him, something I never did. And I have done It twice in one day.
Mattheo knew I was lying too. He shook his head, looking back at his paper, his warm hand squeezing my knee, sending me silent words of comfort and understanding. His touch lingered, grounding me, yet making my thoughts spiral even more. The connection between us felt so real, so tangible, but was it just in my head? The uncertainty gnawed at me, making it hard to focus.
As the minutes ticked by the silence between us filled the space. I could feel his gaze flicker to me, trying to decipher my emotions and thoughts. The library's quiet ambiance seemed to mock my inner turmoil, each second stretching painfully.
As the evening drew on, Mattheo set his quill down, his gaze locking onto mine with an intensity that made my breath hitch. âDarling, you're not yourself tonight. What's really going on?â
I swallowed hard, avoiding getting any answers I wasnât sure I was ready to hear. I forced a smile. âJust tired, I guess. It's been a long day.â
He didnât seem convinced, his eyes searching mine. With a sigh, he gathered our things, his movements slow and deliberate. âLetâs call it a night. We can finish this another time.â
As we walked out of the library, the cool air hit us, a welcome relief. Mattheoâs hand found mine again, his fingers lacing through mine with an ease that made my heart ache. Could I bear to lose this connection if he moved on?
I awoke with a gasp sitting straight up in my bed. My breathing was shallow, and I was drenched in a cold sweat. Tears fell slowly, tracing icy paths down my cheeks. I havenât had that nightmare in a while. Mattheo was fighting in the war, and I watched him die as I held on to him, begging him to stay with me. It always felt too real.
A wave of panic surged through me as I stood up grabbing my slippers. The torches casted an eerie glow on the paintings that were sleeping as I hurried down the silent corridor. I needed to get to the Slytherin common room. I needed to see him with my own eyes.
I knocked on Mattheos door very gently, my knuckles barely made a sound against the wood. This was stupid. I shouldnât be waking him up. It was selfish, but I needed to see him breathing.
My vision was still blurry from the tears, heart pounding a mile a minute. The door cracked open very slowly.
âDarling?â he mumbled, sleep thick in his voice reaching out for me. âWhatâs wrong?â
I launched into his arms holding on to him tightly. His arms caught me snaking around my waist holding me close. Mattheo nuzzled his face in my neck. I pressed my ear to his chest listening to his steady heartbeat.
He was ok. It was a dream. I let out a soft sob. Mattheo shushed me, pulling us into his room. As a perfect he got his room to himself, so I didnât have to worry about waking any roommates.
âWhat happened darling?â He asked again, running his finger through my hair untangling any knots they found.
âI- I had a nightmare.â Mattheo raised an eyebrow.
âAgain?â I nodded. âDo you want to talk about it?â
âNoâ I mumbled into his chest. âCan I stay with you?â
He didnât respond, just pulled us to his bed lifting the covers, guiding me in. Once he was settled in, he pulled me to him, tucking my head under his chin. I could feel his lips press a lingering kiss on to the top of my head. He rubbed soothing circles on my back. His warmth enveloped me, chasing away the remnants of the nightmare. I grew tired, and that was how I fell asleep. In his arms, ear pressed to his chest, the steady thump of his heart a lullaby. A reminder he is alive.
My eyes fluttered open as the memory of last night clung to my consciousness. I wiggled around trying to bring feeling back into my leg, a heavy arm still on my waist. Mattheoâs hold tightened, pulling me in closer. The warmth of his body against mine was a nice contrast to the cold dread I felt last night.
I was safe.
Mattheo groaned, a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine.
âSorry for waking you,â I whispered, my voice hoarse.
He cracked an eye open, a sleepy smile playing on his lips. âIt's okay.â
âStay in bed with me a little longer.â His request was gentle, almost a warm plea against my skin.
âWe must get ready for Hogsmeade. And you have a date,â I reminded him the word bitter on my tongue.
His eyes darkened briefly before he rolled them, pulling me impossibly closer. He whispered something incoherent, a blend of frustration and longing that I couldnât quite decipher.
âStay with me a little longer,â he repeated, one of his hands pushing my hair back exposing more of my face to him.
âOkay. Just for ten minutes,â I complied, my resolve crumbling under the weight of his touch. It wasnât hard to give in to him. This seemed to make him happy. He said nothing more, moving his hands from my hair down to my hip squeezing gently.
We lay there in silence, the early morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a soft glow on his floor. My chin rested on his chest as I studied his features. The way his dark lashes cast shadows on his cheeks, the faint stubble on his jaw, the curve of his lips. I wanted to memorize every detail, hold onto this moment.
As the minutes passed, I felt calm. A calmness I only ever felt in his presence.
âMatty,â I whispered, my voice barely audible, scared to ruin the moment. âThank you.â
He tilted his head down to look at me, his eyes soft and full of something I couldnât quite name. âFor what, darling?â
âFor being here. For making me feel safe,â I replied, my heart pounding.
His lips brushed very gently against my forehead, a feather-light kiss that sent another wave of tingles down my spine. âAlways, little badger. Always.â
We stayed like that, wrapped in each otherâs arms, until the world outside demanded our attention. But for those precious moments, nothing else mattered to me. Harry and Ron could wait.
Ron, Harry, and Hermione had packed our day with activities. It was a nice break from my overthinking. They made me laugh till my sides hurt. A nice break indeed.
Currently, I was standing outside Honeydukes waiting for Ron and Harry. There were so many people inside that you could barely walk through it. It was overwhelming. Between the cacophony of excited chatter and the scent of various sweets was too much for me. I pulled my coat over my lips, trying to warm myself up as the cold wind nipped at my face My nose began to run.
Warm hands wrapped around me from behind, and I let out a surprised squeak. A head rested on my shoulder.
âHello little badger.â Was whispered in my ear.
Mattheo.
I smiled, turning to face him. I leaned back into his arms that circled around me and looked up at him. He gave me a quick smile. If anyone else saw it, they would miss it, but I knew Mattheo.
âWhat are you doing alone in the cold?â he seemed annoyed at the thought, his warm breath clouding up in the cold.
âThere were too many people in there, and I told Ron I would wait.â I pointed at the window behind me, proving my point.
âHmmm. I see.â
He did not see. His eyes never left mine.
âWhat happened to your date?â The word once again bitter on my tongue.
âNot my date.â He bit out. âAnd she ran off with some boy she wanted to make jealous.â
That look I couldnât decipher flashed through his eyes again. This was good. Now he had an opportunity to make a move on the other girl.
âOh.â I bit down on my bottom lip.
âYeah, so I came to kidnap my girl. Did you eat?â
My heart skipped at his wordsâhis girl. If only.
âHang out with us. We were about to go get drinks. Plus, I really want hot cocoa.â I pleaded.
He was pulling his scarf around my neck, eyebrows furrowed, contemplating his options. It smelled like him, overwhelming my senses with a mix of his cologne and something distinctly Mattheo. I pushed my nose into it, inhaling for a quick second, seeking comfort in his scent.
âI will make you one, and we can go to the astronomy tower like we always do.â
It was tradition. We spent Saturday nights looking at the stars and reading from a book to each other.
âMatty, I canât just leave without saying anything to my friends.â
âI will go in and tell them.â
He was not going to take no for an answer.
âOk.â I caved.
His smile returned, and he pulled my hair out from the scarf before making his way inside. I watched him through the window, anxiety coursing through me. I hoped he was nice to them. It was no secret they hated each other.
He moved through the crowd so effortlessly, his presence commanding attention. Before I knew it, he was back outside in front of me.
âTheyâre all set. Letâs get out of here,â he said, taking my hand in his. His grip was firm, reassuring, and I squeezed back, feeling a sense of security wash over me.
When I walked into potions Mattheo was sitting at our usual table. Only my spot was taken by another girl who was letting out an obnoxious giggle. I rolled my eyes, making my way to my chair, but then I halted, Theos words echoing in the back of my mind.
Was this the girl?
I didnât know how much more I could take of this guess-who game. My heart hurt more than I thought it ever could. Seeing him happy with someone else was more than I could bear. I was in love with him. I tried so hard to deny it, to hide it. But I was in love with my best friend, and this pain was getting to be too much.
 I needed space.
Another giggle from her solidified my decision to keep my distance. I took the seat next to another Hufflepuff, who raised both their eyebrows up to their hairline, taking a second look to make sure they werenât hallucinating.
Mattheo spun in his seat and sent me a what-the-hell look. He cocked his head to the side, using his head to point at my chair. The girl still sat there, getting comfortable. I waved and looked down at my textbook, repeating to myself that this was the right thing to do, trying to convince myself.
Thatâs how it continued for a while. I would sit with my house or walk the other way. My peers began to look at me like I had lost it. I was never at their table or on their side of the room, and here I was for the last few weeks actively being a Hufflepuff.
I showed up to class early to avoid him.
Mattheo kept my spot open and would stare at me from where he sat, whether that was in the dining hall or classrooms. The first few days he wore a questioning look. It slowly faded into one of hurt and confusion. The shine in his brown eyes was dulling.
I needed time. How much time exactly, I wasnât sure.
Various friends became worried when I stopped taking care of my appearance. My hair was in disarray, my tie was lopsided, and my skirt was wrinkled. I felt queasy most of the time and wasnât eating as much. The once neatly arranged notes and textbooks in my bag had become a chaotic mess. Â I stopped turning in homework.
Mattheo knew that I wasnât eating enough because one afternoon in the library he dropped a sack of food in front of me, giving me a cold stare before walking off. There was a note in there that just said, âEat.â
My roommates came into the room laughing loudly. From the sounds of it, Slytherin won the Quidditch game. Mattheo would be happy about that. I didnât move, just stared at the blank stone wall in front of me, feeling the coldness seep into my bones.
Someone landed on the corner of my bed, their hand gripping my calf.
âAlright, no more being sad. We are going to the party tonight,â my friend stated, leaving no room to argue.
I turned my head to look at her.
But I was stubborn. âThe Slytherin one? Yeah, no thank you. I am staying in.â Mattheo would be there. If one is avoiding someone, they donât show up to their house party.
âPlease? You need it.â Her bottom lip jutted out hands in a payer motion begging.
âI have stuff I need to do.â
Like stare at the wall till I fell asleep.
âPlease? You wonât even have to do anything. I will do your hair and get you ready.â
She gave me puppy dog eyes. I honestly was convinced she would cry if I said no. Everyone would be there, and Mattheo and the boys always stayed in the corner. I just needed to stay on the opposite side. I should get out and find a new normal.
âYou must stay with me, never leave my side.â I spoke sternly leaving no room for negotiations.
She squealed, agreeing with my condition.
I was in the thick of the people dancing and singing off-key. The room was a blur of colors and sounds, the music pounding in my ears. I hadnât seen Mattheo or Theo all night. Theo wouldnât keep his mouth shut if he saw me. I ran into Blaise on the way inâthat was over an hour ago, so I donât think he said anything to any of the gang. My friend had said they were all in their usual corner drinking about ten minutes ago. My guard was down.
I had a slight buzz from the one too many shots of firewhisky I took when we got here. Unfamiliar hands were on my waist, dancing with me. I didnât push them off, just continued. My brain was too hazy to care. My friend made eye contact with me, wiggling her brows. I turned, facing the person behind me. It was some blonde from Slytherin I never talked to before.
We drunkenly smiled at each other, my arms going around his neck. As we danced, we grew closer. His forehead on mine. Kissing him would probably be a bad idea. But I didnât really care. I wanted to feel something. Just as I was about to kiss him, my body was yanked away harshly.
âWhat the fuck, Y/N?â Mattheo growled, my name coming out like a curse. There was a dark look in his eyes, and his lips were pressed into a thin line.
Oh, I was in trouble. He never used my name. My heart rate picked up.
âGo away, Matty,â I slurred, pushing my way past someone. The moment was now dead.
In the next second, I was thrown over his shoulder and carried through the crowd. One of his hands held my dress down, keeping me modest. He shoved people out of the way. It wasnât a hard featâmost of the people here were wasted anyway.
âPut me down.â I smacked his back, but it didnât even phase him.
âNo,â he hissed. âYou are drunk.â
âI am not drunk.â
âWe both know you are, so stop lying. It makes things easier on both of us.â
I sent a pleading look to Theo as we passed by. He laughed. Of course, he would think this was funny. No one made an attempt to save me. My friend was lost in the crowd, so I was on my own.
He kicked open a door, and once we entered, my nose was met with a very familiar smell. His room. I yelped as I was thrown down onto his bed. It was a little harsher than I think he intended, because he cursed and backed away. I sat up on my arms, glaring at him. Blowing the hair out of my face.
He paced in front of me, looking up at the ceiling, frustration etched in every line of his face.
âI am going back to my room,â I stated moving to stand up.
His head snapped to me, softening his gaze. âYou are not leaving till you sober up.â There was tension in his tone, like he was trying to hold himself back.
I glared at his words. âI am fine. I can sober up in my room.â
His jaw tightened, and his nostrils flared. It was a little scary to be on the receiving side of his anger. I almost stood up to ease the anger like I normally would.
He thrust a cup in my face, hissing the word âDrink.â
I complied, not wanting to further his anger. His fingers dug through his curls, tugging them out of place.
âFuck, you look so good.â He dragged a hand down his face. âDarling, where have you been?â
I squeezed my eyes shut at the nickname. A knock on the door interrupted any response I was going to give.
He made no move to answer it. We stared at each other, neither one of us blinking. His jaw set. We were playing an awful round of the staring game.
The door creaked open. I didnât take my eyes off Mattheo, and his stayed on me.
âMatty, come back down,â a feminine voice spoke in a baby tone behind me.
Merlin. That was the girl, wasnât it? I was now sobered up. My heartache was back, one hundred times worse than it was before. Now that she was there, and behind me.
Mattheo paid her no attention. I dropped the cup on the floor.
âThat is my cue to leave. Goodbye, Mattheo.â
This time I meant it. Goodbye forever. I think he knew it too. He scrambled to catch my hand before I left, breathing hard, eyes wide. He tried to pull me back, but I didnât budge.
âY/N,â he said softly, as if my name was a prayer leaving his lips.
The girl behind us scoffed. I looked at him, really took him in. There were bags under his eyes and pain hidden in those beautiful brown pools.
My eyes burned I was doing this to him. I fought the urge to take care of him and take away any pain. But that would mean I would hurt all the time. It was something I couldnât do. Call me selfish, but I just couldnât.
âNo. No, we are not doing this.â I yanked my hand away and ran as fast as I could.
There was a frantic banging on my roomâs door. I didnât move. My limbs felt like lead, and I had been staring at the wall in front of me since I left the party two days ago. I hadnât left my room or moved. My friends had brought me food, but it remained for the most part untouched. I was not hungry. I missed my friend. I wanted to run back to him.
When I didnât answer, the knocking didnât stop; it just grew louder. I didnât understand who it could have been. My roommates had all gone out to enjoy their weekend after I convinced them I was okay.
It wouldnât stop, and the longer it went, the louder it got. Whoever it was, was not going to give up.
âGo away.â I yelled out still not moving from my bed.
It stopped.
âNo,â a male voice growled out muffled by the door.
The knocking began again. A groan escaped me. The door was unlocked; they could just enter.
I kicked my sheets off me, cursing under my breath.
Mattheo stood there, clenching and unclenching his fists. His hair was messy, the curls out of place. He looked into the dark room behind me, staring into the shadows. When he looked back down, his eyes hardened with resolve.
When his hands reached out, I backed away. I didnât miss the flash of pain on his face.
âWhat do you want, Mattheo?â I sighed; my voice heavy with exhaustion.
âAre you okay? Why are you avoiding me? What did I do?â He asked rapidly one question after the other not taking a breath. Â
âI am fine. Let me sleep.â
His eyes narrowed into slits. He was just as stubborn as I was. The air in the room grew thick, and we were on the cusp of a fight. He wanted to yell at me, and I wanted to yell at him.
âYou are not fine. Whatâs going on?â He spat the words out. I flinched.
âStop. Please just leave me alone!â I cried out, wrapping my arms around myself, trying to protect my fragile heart.
Mattheo reached out again hands shaking before he let them fall to his side.
âWhy are you being so dramatic?â his tone was laced with frustration.
âFuck you. I am going to shower. When I get back, be goneâ I slammed the door my breathing was ragged. I was seeing red.
He was still there when I got back from the shower. My hair was wet and dripping on the floor. Â He sat on my bed head down and hands in his lap. Â I ran the brush through my locks.
âWhy are you avoiding me little badger?â Mattheo whispered not looking up at me.
âI-I just need time.â I stuttered. Â Placing my brush on my desk.
âTime?â He questioned confusion showing on his face. He stood up taking slow steps watching me and waiting for me to run.
âDonât make me say it please.â I whispered, the anguish seeping into my tone.
His hands were on me cupping my face wiping the tears that came.
âI donât get it. I thought we were- I thought we were closer than this.âÂ
He bent his head, so we were eye level, not letting me escape this time.
âWe are Mattheo. I just have a lot going on up here.â I taped the side of my head. His hand grabbed mine clutching on to it. Â It wasnât a lie. I did have a lot on my mind.
âLet me in. Let me fix it please.â His words cracked at the end; eyes glassy.
âMatty I will be ok. I just need to get over the fact you are in love with someone. I-â
He didnât let me finish his words coming out in a hurry.
âI am not in love with just anyone. I am in love with you. I want you.â
âBut Theo said-â
âMy beautiful oblivious girl.â His hands moved to my neck. His forehead resting on mine. âTheo is an idiot.
âoblivious?â I scoffed.
âYes, oblivious baby. I have been in love with you since we met. I canât keep my hands off you, because touching you satiates the need to kiss you.â
I gasped.
âWhich if you canât tell is all the fucking time. The last two and half weeks has been hell.â
It was silent. We were breathing each other in his nose nudged mine.
I stood on the tip of my toes, closing the gap between us. At first, he didnât respond or move. As I pulled away, he used the hand on my neck to pull me back. His lips moved slowly at first before moving in a frenzy. My feet were suddenly off the ground, and he nibbled down on my bottom lip. Mattheo had me in his hands, setting me on the desk behind us. My legs hooked around his waist keeping him close. He now had his fingers in my hair pulling gently angling my face to deepen the kiss.
I was putty in his hands. My fingers tangled in his soft hair ruining the curls even more. The taste of him was intoxicating something I would never get over. I was addicted. When we parted, I was panting for air. Mattheo moved his lips down my neck trailing to my shoulder. He bit down. I moaned before I could stop it. His lips moved in a smile against my skin moving his lips back up landing on mine again.
âFuck little badger, I donât ever want to stop.â He mumbled against my lips.
âThen donât.â I pecked him once, twice, three times. My heart rate wasnât coming down anytime soon.
He pulled my face back looking at me. The smile I loved plastered on his.
âYou should smile more. I like it.â I whispered drunk off the kiss.
He didnât say anything but placed a quick kiss.
âTheo and Blaise are going to be unbearable once they find out you are officially mine.â Â His smile widened.
âOh yours?â I giggled pressing my face into his shoulder.
âYou are mine, baby, and I am yours,â he promised in my ear kissing the shell of it.
âI love you Matty.â I whispered back.
Mattheo pulled my face up
âIâve waited so long to hear you say thatâ he murmured, his eyes searching mine for any hint of hesitation.
When he saw none, he kissed me again, this time slower, with a tenderness that made my heart ache. His hands moved gently, reverently, as if he were afraid, I might disappear. We stayed like that, wrapped in each otherâs arms, losing ourselves in the connection we had longed for.

The snow fell softly over Hogwarts, covering the castle with ice and frost. From the beach, Theo watched as the flurries glittered against stone and spire and frowned as the cold seeped into his bones. Underneath him, the Black Lake was frozen solid yet crystal clear. It mightâve been unwise to venture out so far from the shore, but Theo welcomed the clarity of the cold.Â
The cigarette cradled between his slender fingers provided some much needed warmth, the nicotine filling his lungs and dulling his senses as he released a cloud of smoke into the air. Spread-eagled on the ice, Theo sprawled out like a snow angel, blinking away the snowflakes as it gathered on his lashes.Â
Beyond the treeline, Theo glimpsed his friends chasing each other on their brooms. A loud cackle echoed from the Forbidden Forest as Mattheo hurled a snowball at Draco. Enzo and Regulus cursed as they narrowly dodged the attack, racing away from Mattheo as he laughed maniacally, clearly relishing his reign of terror. On any other day, he wouldâve been flying right along his mates, but today was different.Â
The boys could sense it as well. All morning, Theo had been distant and distracted. He barely participated in the conversations happening around him during lunch. When he turned down Mattheoâs invitation to play quidditch in the snow, his mates took the hint that Theo really just wanted to be alone.
So here he was, smoking in the freezing cold and hoping that the frigid air would provide a moment of reprieve from the complicated thoughts and emotions swirling within him. For his efforts, Theo was rewarded with a sore arse and a growing migraine pulsing behind his eyes. In other words, he was truly shit out of luck.
There was no escaping today.Â
A soft shuffling beckoned his attention, but it wasnât necessary for Theo to turn around to know who the steps belonged to. He could identify his best friend by sound alone. You always walked with purpose. Judging by the decisive click of your boots against the ice, Theo could tell that you were on a mission. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as you came into view, your cheeks and nose flushed from the cold.Â
With a hand on your hip, you cocked your head at Theo and posed a question in your usual no-nonsense tone. âWould you like some company or would you prefer to brood alone?âÂ
Theo looked up from his cigarette, biting back a smile. You were always straight to the point. Never one to mince words. Theo liked that about you.Â
âI donât mind the company if itâs you, principessa.âÂ
A soft smile graced his face as you transformed your robe into a blanket, laying it on the ice and beckoning him to move. Theo happily obliged and attempted not to chuckle as you fussed over him, clearly biting back on lecturing him on the dangers of catching hypothermia in this weather. You placed your bag underneath his head before laying beside him in the cocoon of fabric.Â
Without a word, you tapped your shoulder. His heart warmed at the familiar gesture as he leaned against you. A sigh of satisfaction slipped past his lips as you ran your fingers through his hair, massaging his scalp and easing all the tension from his body.Â
âWhat are you doing out here?â Theo asked as you toyed with the curls at the nape of his neck. âYou hate the cold.âÂ
âI do, but I donât hate you.âÂ
Theo nuzzled against your neck, humming softly as the warmth of your skin soothed his senses. âI missed you at breakfast. Thought you were sleeping in, so I didnât bother to wake you up.â His mouth quirked in amusement. âWe both know what happens when your sleep is interrupted.â
âIâm not that bad,â you said sheepishly.Â
âThe last time I tried to wake you up before noon on a weekend, you threw a slipper at my head.âÂ
âI thought you were an intruder.âÂ
âMhm,â Theo murmured against your shoulder. âThat explains why you yelled, âLeave me alone, Theodore!â after physically assaulting me.âÂ
By the way you shifted beside him, Theo knew you were rolling your eyes fondly. âFor your information, I woke up bright and early this morning to head to Hogsmeade.âÂ
âHas hell frozen over?â Theo asked dramatically, furrowing his brows as he looked up at you. âThe Y/N I know wouldnât be caught dead in all this snow. Especially not without stealing at least three of my hoodies before stepping foot out of the castle.âÂ
You chuckled, brushing a strand of wavy hair away from his eyes. âContrary to what you may believe, Iâm not completely helpless without you. I bundled up and braved the snow to pick up a package from the post.âÂ
âI wish you wouldâve told me, dolcezza. I wouldâve gone to the village with you.âÂ
âThatâs sweet of you, Teddy. But it was a quick trip and I managed fine on my own.â
Theo grumbled with displeasure, but rested his head on your shoulder once more. The two of you sat in comfortable silence, just soaking up each otherâs company. You were clearly aware that something was on his mind, but you didnât push. You knew that Theo would talk if and when he was ready. It was one of the many things he appreciated about you. Whenever you were together, there was never any need to fill the silence. Even without words, you could read him like a book.Â
After a while, Theo put out his cigarette and turned over to face you. You smiled as he scooted closer and breathed in your strawberry shampoo. He brushed the snowflakes off of your cheek, but more fell to take their place.Â
âHow did you know Iâd be out here?âÂ
âFor reasons I will never understand, you love the cold. You said it helps you think clearly,â you replied, tracing the moles and freckles that littered his skin like constellations. âI figured you had a lot on your mind. I imagine the anniversary is a rough day for you.âÂ
Theo blinked in surprise. Though you told each other nearly everything, Theo had never disclosed the anniversary of his motherâs death. He rarely spoke about her to anyone. Even after ten years, the loss still made his heart feel hollow.Â
âYou know what today is?â He asked in a small, quiet voice.Â
You nodded in confirmation. âYour nonna mentioned it in her last letter. I know you usually like to be alone to remember her, but I wanted to at least check up on you.âÂ
There was an ache in his chest as he met your concerned gaze. You placed your hand above his heart and rubbed over the spot like you knew how heavy of a load it was to carry. Theoâs fingers gently closed around yours.Â
âIâm glad you did.âÂ
âWhy didnât you tell me?â You asked softly. âAll these years? I wouldâve liked to be there for you.âÂ
There was a hint of pain in the edges of your voice as though robbing you of the ability to comfort him physically hurt. Knowing you, it probably did. You cared so deeply and loved so fully. It was just the type of person that you were. It was what drew him to you in the first place.Â
âI didnât think I could,â he admitted truthfully. âAfter my mum died, my father never spoke about her again. He just acted like the day of her death never happened. For him, it was just another normal day and not the day that I lost half of myself. My father said it was weak to show emotion, so I never did. I had no choice but to be strong, so I am.âÂ
Theo closed his eyes and attempted to tamper down his emotions. When he opened them again, he was met with your heartbroken expression. A pang of guilt struck his heart like an arrow. The last thing he wanted to do was upset you. Seeing you in pain was worse than enduring the Cruciatus curse and Merlin knew he had plenty of experience in that regard. Thanks to his cruel, ruthless father. Theo started to apologize, but startled when you cradled his face in your hands, your gaze full of bravery and determination.Â
âEmotions donât make you weak, Teddy. Youâre allowed to feel. Youâre allowed to grieve and rage and cry. You donât have to be so strong all the time.âÂ
The words struck him to his very core. It had never occurred to him to let his armor fall. He wasn't aware that was even an option. All his life, Theo thought that repressing every ounce of emotion was the only way to cope with his motherâs death. He wasnât granted permission to speak of her, much less grieve over her. Self-preservation had been drilled into him even before he was sorted into Slytherin. It was how he survived.
âI donât?â He asked in a broken whisper.Â
âNo, you donât.â You replied, pressing your forehead against his. âIâm here for you and I wonât judge you for being vulnerable.âÂ
Theo swallowed past the lump in his throat. âI donât want to weigh you down with my burdens.âÂ
âYou wonât,â you promised. âWhatever heaviness youâre carrying, Iâll carry it with you. You never have to do anything alone, Teddy.âÂ
The ice in his chest cracked and the armor he so carefully crafted around his heart splintered off into a million tiny pieces. It shouldâve terrified him, but instead, all Theo felt was relief. You were giving him a safe space to feel. A luxury that had been ripped away from him the day his mother died.Â
âI miss her so much.âÂ
With those five words, Theo felt the dam break. Years and years of sadness and anger and grief washed over him like a tidal wave, flooding his heart with the intensity of it all. The rush of the current would have wiped him out entirely if it hadnât been for your arms wrapping around him, holding him to the present like an anchor. Theo clung onto you for dear life and sobbed.Â
He sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. He cried until the front of your sweater was soaked with his tears. He cried until his throat was raw from screaming. He cried until his eyes were bloodshot and red and as heavy as lead. Through it all, you hugged him tightly, holding him against you firmly as you rubbed his back and whispered soothing words in his ear.Â
âItâs okay, Teddy. Let it out. Iâm here. Iâm not going anywhere.âÂ
Theo gripped the back of your sweater, bunching up the fabric between his fingers as he unleashed ten years worth of grief out into the open. You didnât balk at any of it. The two of you had weathered the good, the bad, and the ugly together and none of it had scared you off. Theo believed you when you said that you werenât going anywhere. To you, it was a sacred promise. One that you had kept faithfully since the day you met him.Â
âIâm here for you,â you declared in reassurance, rocking him back and forth. âI always will be.âÂ
He didnât know what he did to deserve someone like you. During times like these, Theo was convinced that you were his guardian angel. A gift from above to offset all the shit and misery that life brought. It was cathartic to cry in the arms of the girl he loved because he knew that you would hold him as he fell apart and put him back together in a way that only you could.Â
After what seemed like ages, Theo finally looked up. With a sniffle, he watched with an awestruck expression as you wiped the tears from his cheeks and kissed his forehead.Â
âI got something for you,â you whispered softly. âYou donât have to do it if you donât want to, but I think it might help. Itâs a way to commemorate the loss of your mother, but to also honor the happy memories that live on in your heart.âÂ
You fished around in your bag and pulled out a small paper lantern. As you held it in your hands, it glowed as though enchanted.Â
âBack home, we light these lanterns and release them to honor the loved ones weâve lost. I asked my mum to mail me one and it just arrived in the post this morning. Special delivery.âÂ
Just when Theo thought he was all out of tears, a fresh wave crashed over him. He was the reason why youâd trudged out in the snow and frost so early in the morning. To pick up the most thoughtful gift that anyone has ever given him. Theo couldnât help but bawl.Â
Your eyes widened. âOh no. I didnât mean to upset you. We donât have to do it if you want to. I can send it backââ
Theo shook his head. âNo, no, no. Itâs perfect. Itâs the most thoughtful thing anyoneâs ever done for me. Thank you. For writing to my crazy old nonna and letting me get snot all over your favorite sweater and turning a shit day less shitty. Thank you so much, Y/N.âÂ
You smiled, brushing his waves back. âYou donât have to thank me, Theo. Iâd do anything for you. Thatâs what you do for the people you love.âÂ
His breath caught in his throat. Theo looked up at you with hopeful eyes. âYou love me?âÂ
âWith every fiber of my being.âÂ
Before he knew it, Theo was crying again, but this time it was happy tears. He leaned in, cradling your face in his hands just like you always did to him, and pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was so soft and so gentle, like he was afraid that you might disappear.Â
âI love you, Y/N,â he declared with certainty. Theo loved you like the moon loved the sun. He loved you like the shadows loved the stars. You were the light that heâs been waiting for in the darkness. âI think my mum wouldâve loved you too.âÂ
You smiled, intertwining your fingers together and kissing his knuckles. âI wish I had the chance to meet her.âÂ
âYou still can,â Theo said with a smile. âWill you show me how to light the lantern, cara mia?âÂ
After you showed him how to enchant the lantern, Theo was able to light it by himself. The lantern glowed in his hands as he looked over at you. âWhatâs next?âÂ
âUsually, we say a few words to honor the dead. It can be as short or as long as youâd like.â Theo swallowed thickly. He seemed to be grappling with his thoughts, searching for the right words. You grabbed hold of his hand and squeezed. âThereâs no right or wrong way to do it. As long as it comes from the heart. Donât be scared, Teddy. Iâm right here.âÂ
Theo nodded, smiling softly as he squeezed back. He composed himself for a moment and stared at the lantern.Â
âCiao, mamma. Itâs Teddy. Today was really hard. Itâs been ten years since I lost you, but I still feel you everywhere. I miss you a lot. Iâm sorry that I never talk about you. Even now, it still hurts. But Iâm learning that sometimes you just have to let yourself feel the pain. That itâs okay to let other people in and let them carry the burden with you. Iâm lucky, mamma. I have nonna and my cousins and my mates. I have Y/N. She takes care of me. She always asks me about my day. She remembers every little thing I tell her, like the fact that I hate crusts on my sandwiches and pineapple on pizza.âÂ
You chuckled as his nose scrunched up in disgust. The sincerity of it all made your heart feel like it was overflowing with love for this beautiful boy. âSheâs always bossing me around and fussing over me, but I secretly love that she cares so much. Sheâs got such a big heart, mamma. Iâm lucky to even occupy a small portion of it. I guess what Iâm trying to say is, you donât have to worry about me. Iâve got Y/N to watch over me. I love you and I miss you. I promise Iâll talk about you more. Ci vediamo, mamma.âÂ
Your eyes welled with tears as Theo released the lantern. He turned to you, wiping a tear away. âHey, none of that,â he teased. âIâve cried enough for the both of us tonight, love.âÂ
âIâm sorry. That was just so beautiful. Iâm so proud of you, Teddy. I know it wasnât easy, but you were so brave.âÂ
He leaned down to kiss your temple. âCouldnât have done it without you, cara mia.âÂ
Theo laced his fingers through yours and tugged lightly. âNow come on, dolcezza. Letâs get inside where itâs warm. I know youâre dying to lecture me about being out in the cold for this long.âÂ
You chuckled, not even the least bit surprised at how well Theo knew you.Â
Later that night, after the two of you dried off, changed into pajamas, and snuggled underneath your warm blankets, you listened as Theo told stories of his mum. You laughed when he recounted the time his mum hexed Lucius for stealing her shampoo in third year. You cried when he recalled the way sheâd always let him curl up in her bed after a nightmare, singing him to sleep and soothing her Teddy.Â
In one night, the memories that he kept locked away in his heart for ten years came spilling out of Theo. You soaked up every detail like a sponge, hanging onto his every word. The sun was rising by the time he exhausted himself, but he felt so much lighter than he ever had. With your arms wrapped tightly around him, Theo knew that he was loved beyond measure. He could feel the affection and devotion radiating between you, like an invisible string that tied the two of you together.
As you spooned him, Theo grinned and kissed your fingertips. âThank you for letting me talk about my mum. Iâve never told anyone any of that before.âÂ
âWhat makes me so special?âÂ
Theo turned over and smiled. âYou make me feel safe,â he whispered in the darkness. You teared up at his words, knowing how hard it was for Theo to let his guard down. The fact that he allowed himself to be vulnerable around you was a privilege that youâd never take for granted. âYou take all my fucked up, broken pieces and put me back together again. With you, I feel whole.âÂ
âIt doesnât matter how many times you fall apart, Teddy. I will always be here to pick up the pieces.âÂ
âMe too,â Theo murmured sleepily. He leaned over and kissed you, soft and sweet and pure. Your heart ached for him. You were convinced that your soul wouldâve searched through infinity and back just to find him. âThatâs what you do for the people you love.â

Blood status seems to become less important when you acknowledge the actual feeling of love. What will Theo do when Y/n comes to the terms with the differences between them being impossible to ignore?
Pairing: Theo Nott x granger!reader
Words count: 1.9k
Author's note: My apologies for keeping you waiting so long, but I finally got some time off at uni!! Wishing you all a good year!!
Kind of a 2nd part of this fic, but you can read it without the previous one
â« ââââ ««âąâŠ âȘ âŠâąÂ»Â» ââââ âȘ
Keep you safe
One evening, Theo was waiting in the library. Waiting for a person he never expected to talk to. Y/n Granger. He found himself feeling a bit nervous, even though there was no reason.
Thinking about Y/n made him feel something. A feeling he never felt before. Slughorn said it's love, the muggle kind of love, the purest form, not induced by anything supernatural.
Theo decided to read about it. Hoping to find some book about it, he asked the librarian. She gave him a book specifically about love potions and spells. One of the first chapters was just what Theo was looking for.
"How to tell the difference between love and infatuation caused by magic." He whispered the first sentence to himself.
He started reading, his mind realizing what he got himself into as his gaze brushed over the text. Well, technically it wasn't his own fault and apparently also not the girl's fault.
But there must've been a reason. If love was a part of biology, brain chemistry, there had to be some logical factor.
"What are you reading?"
When Theo heard Y/n's voice right next to him, he immediately closed the book, causing it to make a loud sound.
"You took such a long time I got bored." He replied.
"Don't be so shy," the girl shifted her eyes to the title of the book, "oh, love potions and spells? But we're doing something completely different."
"Really? I couldn't care less, forgot what we were supposed to do." Surely one thing he'd love to do was making out with her on that table.
Y/n put her homework on the table.
"Read it and tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing is wrong, I just-"
"What's wrong with my text, Nott. I didn't ask how you were doing."
"Right."
Theo took the papers and started reading. The text was written with the most beautiful handwriting he's ever seen. So elegant, so precise.
"How long did it take you to write?" He asked.
"One evening. It was easier than you'd think."
"I think it's extremely easy." He bragged. "Anyway, is that all? Or do you wanna add something?"
"Well, Slughorn thought it's necessary for you to help me. Is there anything you think should be added?"
"Uh, no, it looks fine," he mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
"Fine? Theodore Nott, the perfectionist Slytherin, settles for 'fine'? I expected more from you."
"Look, it's not my homework, it's yours. I don't know why I agreed to help you, but it was pointless."
"You got yourself into this, could've said no."
"What the fuck am I even doing?" Theo asked rather himself than the girl. "I don't need to be helping a mudblood, who cares what grade you'll get." With these words, he stood up.
"Because-" Y/n stuttered. "Because... I've heard your conversation with Slughorn. And you said... that you liked me."
"Me? Liking you?" He snorted with laughter. "What the hell, Granger?"
Tears formed in Y/n's eyes as she watched Theo walk away. Sure, he was mean to her before, this wasn't the first time. But this time was somehow different.
Y/n could swear she heard Theo confessing to Slughorn that he's actually in love with her. It's not possible her brain played tricks on her. Plus Hermione said Theo told her about his feelings for Y/n.
â« ââââ ««âąâŠ âȘ âŠâąÂ»Â» ââââ âȘ
Harry walked onto the astronomy tower. Y/n was supposed to be back a long time ago. Ron and Hermione also wanted to go there, but Harry asked to let him go alone.
Harry knew where Y/n was thanks to the Map. He felt such relief not seeing Nott's name next to hers. She was standing alone, leaning on the banister. There was something in her hand, Harry couldn't see well in the dark, but from the smell he realized it was a cigarette.
"I didn't know you smoke." He spoke.
Y/n expected this to happen, she was aware of Harry's feelings towards her. She took one last drag from her cigarette then dropped it on the ground, put it out with her shoe and kicked off the tower.
"Why do you keep doing this?" Y/n asked, smoke leaving through her mouth. "I knew you're gonna look at your silly little map to see where I am."
"We were starting to get worried. Theo is... you know, dangerous. We got scared he would hurt you."
And he did. Theo did hurt Y/n, just not physically.
"Hermione should be here instead. But, let me guess, you told her you'll check up on me."
"Maybe," Harry admitted finally, "do you know why? Because I actually care about you. I've had feelings for you for years. I deserve you, not Nott. I deserve you, because-"
"Because you're the chosen one?" She mocked and paused. "Look, Harry, I like you as a friend. I've never felt anything more than this. I can't change how I see you and I won't pretend otherwise."
He nodded, acceptance settling in. "I get it. I just... I thought if I cared enough, it would make a difference."
"Caring is important, Harry, but it doesn't always lead to the feelings we hope for."
"Whoever you date, just don't date Nott, please."
"I promise I won't. Not after today, I'm over him."
"Care to share what happened?"
"I'll tell you, Hermione and Ron in the common room. Let's go, I've been here too long."
â« ââââ ««âąâŠ âȘ âŠâąÂ»Â» ââââ âȘ
Y/n didn't even know how wrong she was that night on the astronomy tower, but she forgot about it. Weeks went by, Christmas had passed, everyone were back from the break. Classes started again and Y/n found herself hoping to catch a glimpse of Theo.
They kept exchanging glances on the corridors, accidentally bumping into each other in the crowds. Y/n wanted to believe Theo liked her, but even if he did, they could never work.
"Y/n, listen to me," he said, catching her when she was alone in the library one time. "I know how things have been between us, but during the break I... I realized I don't wanna keep being enemies."
"Theo, you know it could never work. You said what you said and maybe it's better to leave it this way."
"I contemplated a lot," it was true, he spent the break mostly in his room, drowning in thoughts. About her, about them, coming to terms with what he was feeling. "I decided to accept my feelings."
"That's great for you, but we could never work. I've always 'fancied' you, I guess, despite what you were doing, ironically, but the time we worked on my project together, I accepted we could never work."
"And why's that?"
Y/n took a deep breath, wondering if he was stupid or just pretending. Maybe it was a bet he had with someone. Maybe Draco dared him to do this.
"You don't see how different we are? What do you expect is gonna happen? Would you introduce me to your father? Wouldn't you care that I'd get you disowned?"
Theo looked at her, Y/n could see sadness in his eyes. She realized her words made him realize the differences between them, because he walked away. Theo walked away without a word.
Y/n pierced her own heart with an invisible knife. She was really hoping they could work, but it just wasn't possible in this universe. Maybe there was a universe where none of this purity bullshit didn't exist. Y/n wished she would've been born there.
Y/n couldn't predict what Theo was going to do. She thought her words made him give up on her. It was for the best, of course, she should've focused on her studies firstly, and then on a realistic relationship.
It was a Friday. Y/n was sitting next to Ginny by the Gryffindor table. It was dinner time, all the students gathered in the Great Hall. All the students besides one Slytherin, the one that Y/n hoped to see. Maybe it was weird, but she enjoyed the sad looks they'd pass to each other.
"Hey, Y/n, are you listening?" Hermione asked from across the table.
"Sure," Y/n quickly shifted her eyes to her sister. "You were talking about Defence Against the Dark Arts."
"You've got divided attention. Stop looking at the Slytherin table."
"Ugh," Ginny groaned, "were you doing this again? Merlin, you stare at this Slytherin git 90% of the time."
"Well, he isn't here today. I wonder where he could be. Everyone else is here."
"There he is," Ron pointed out, rolling his eyes.
The golden trio and two younger Gryffindors looked at the doors' direction. Theo had just walked into the Great Hall, but surprisingly he didn't walk towards his table. He walked towards Y/n.
"Y/n," he spoke, catching everyone's attention. People were reading to witness another argument. "I can't help this, I love you."
Shocked noises came from all the tables, but Slytherins kept whispering between each other also when Theo continued talking.
"I don't care what anyone says, anyone thinks. Love is not meant to be controlled, it kills me to fight it."
Y/n stood up from the table, ready to leave the room.
"Theo, stop," she begged, "you're embarrassing us both. Your friends will-"
"I don't care what they do. If they don't accept it, they're not my friends. If anyone wants to fight me for having feelings for a muggleborn, I can fight, I've never lost a duel."
The whole Great Hall fell silent, even the teachers didn't try to intervene, when they saw Theo pulling out a small, black velvet box.
"I want you to wear this ring," he opened the box, "as my promise to always protect you from whoever tries to harm you or our relationship."
"It's beautiful, but..." Y/n was speechless by the sight of the ring. It was silver with two gemstones forming a subtle heart - half emerald and half ruby.
"It was custom made and if you accept it, I'll once get you a matching engagement ring. Also, there are thorns which will hurt you when you try taking it off. I want you forever, Y/n Granger."
The ring in the black velvet box sparkled under the enchanted ceiling. The Great Hall remained in silence as Theo poured his heart out, confessing his love. The unexpected turn of events had everyone on edge.
Slytherins exchanged intrigued glances, Gryffindors shared confused looks and even the teachers seemed to not know how to react. Y/n could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on her, and for a moment, she considered the potential consequences of accepting Theo's proposal.
"Theo," she began, her voice breaking, "it's not that simple."
"I know it is. But I can't keep hiding my feelings, Y/n. I've tried, and it's tearing me apart. I'll protect you from whatever comes our way."
Y/n looked at the ring, then back at him. "I believe in second chances. And I appreciate your sincerity. I accept the ring, Theo."
Theo carefully took the ring from the box and gently slid it onto Y/n's finger. The Great Hall burst with cheering and applause, only the Slytherin table didn't seem so enthusiastic about this.
Theo placed his hands on Y/n's waist, pulling her in for a kiss. She didn't hesitate to kiss him back, her hands sinking in his dense her yet the ring on her finger still visible, reflecting the light from the ceiling.

Theodore Nott x reader
Summary: Every witch at Hogwarts seems to be chasing a single dream â to catch the eye of Theodore Nott. But Theo? He's completely unfazed by their relentless pursuit. Here's the secret: his heart, and his gaze, have belonged to me for a long time. And that's something he loves to remind me of, every chance he gets.
Words: 2k
Warning: fluff, smut , oral (f!receive) (public!sex).
Theo and I found ourselves in a picturesque field of blooming flowers, the air filled with the sweet scent of nature. spreading out a soft satin blanket to sit on. I wore a comfortable short dress that allowed the gentle breeze to caress my skin, and my hair cascaded around me in loose waves as I lay down on the blanket.
Theo settled beside me, leaning against the tree trunk with his back, and I couldn't help but admire the serene expression on his face as he gazed out at the blooming flowers. The colors of nature seemed to come alive around us, adding to the magic of the moment.
As I flipped through the pages of my book, occasionally glancing at the vibrant blooms around us, I noticed Theo's gaze fixated on me. His eyes held a gentle warmth, and a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he watched me.
Feeling his eyes on me, I looked up from my book a blush crept up my cheeks as I met his gaze. "Enjoying the view?" I teased, a playful glint in my eyes.
Theo chuckled softly, his gaze softening even more. "Always," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of admiration. "Especially when the view includes you."
I couldn't help but blush at his words, a smile spreading across my face. "Must you be so charming? Makes it hard to concentrate on my book.", pretending to be engrossed in my book but secretly relishing the attention.
This wasn't the Theo Nott every witch at Hogwarts lusted after â the one with the cutting remarks and veiled threats. This was my Theo , a Theo whose gaze lingered a little too long, whose voice softened when he spoke to me, and whose occasional smile sent butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
Memories flickered to life, a stark contrast to the peaceful scene. The first time we spoke, I was a clumsy second-year fumbling with a stack of heavy books in the bustling hallway. Papers scattered everywhere, and I felt tears prick my eyes with frustration. Before I could even bend down, Theo was there, kneeling beside me. With surprising gentleness, he began gathering the scattered parchment, his touch light as he brushed against my hand.
"Looks like you could use a hand," he'd said, his voice a low murmur that sent goosebumps erupting on my arms. "Or perhaps someone to keep you company for a bit?" He straightened up, his eyes locking with mine for a beat longer than necessary. A hint of a playful glint sparked within them before he offered a crooked smile. "Don't worry," he added, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "I'm gentle when I want to be."
That simple phrase, delivered with a knowing smirk, had stayed with me ever since. It was a revelation .
These were the glimpses of Theo that drew me in. The boy beneath the cool exterior, the one who used his signature smirk not for cruelty but for a hint of amusement, the one who offered unexpected help with a quiet kindness.
As I lay there, bathed in the warm afternoon sun, a smile touched my lips in response to Theo's gaze. The years seemed to melt away, and I was no longer the nervous first year, but a young woman who had discovered the hidden warmth beneath the icy facade of Theodore Nott.
Theo shifted slightly, leaning closer. â read to me beautiful â he said
Propping myself up on my elbows, I looked at him with a soft smile. "Alright," I agreed, my heart fluttering a little. "Just for you."
"The dragon soared high above the mountains, its scales shimmering in the sunlight as it let out a mighty roar," I read, my voice filled with excitement.
Theo listened intently, I continued to read, painting vivid pictures with my words of heroes on epic quests, enchanted forests, and ancient prophecies.
"The brave knight drew his sword, ready to face the dark sorcerer who threatened to plunge the kingdom into eternal darkness," I narrated, my voice taking on a dramatic tone to match the intensity of the scene.
As I read, I couldn't help but steal glances at him, noticing the way his eyes lit up with each new twist and turn of the plot.
As I continued reading the fantasy tale, His lips brushed softly against my neck sending a wave of tingling sensations through me. I closed my eyes, savoring the intimate moment as a soft moan escaped my lips.
"Don't stop reading," Theo whispered, his warm breath tickling my skin. His hand gently pulled my hair to one side, giving him better access to my neck as his kisses trailed down.
I complied, trying to focus on the words on the page while Theo's kisses distracted me. The story seemed to take on a new level of excitement as his touch added an extra layer of thrill to the narrative.
" summoned her magical powers, her eyes glowing with determination as she faced the ultimate challenge," I read, my voice slightly breathless .
His kisses grew more fervent, his lips leaving a trail of soft, lingering kisses along my neck and collarbone. I struggled to maintain my composure, the combination of the story's intensity and Theo's intimate advances stirring a potent mixture of emotions within me.
his hand slipped from my hair to my waist, pulling me closer to him as he continued to pepper kisses on my skin. Each touch sent sparks of desire coursing through me, blending seamlessly with the fantasy unfolding in the book.
I read on, my voice occasionally faltering as Theo's kisses grew more insistent. It was a delightful challenge, trying to stay focused on the story while being tantalizingly distracted by Theo's affectionate gestures.
"The dragon unleashed its fiery breath, but the heroine stood her ground, wielding her enchanted sword with unwavering resolve," I narrated, my voice filled with the adrenaline of the story and the thrill of Theo's intimate attentions.
Theo's kisses on my neck ignited a fire within me, driving me to arch my back in pleasure. I looked at him, my eyes filled with a mixture of desire and longing as he played with my hair, sending tingles down my spine with each touch.
"Do you trust me, baby ?" Theo's voice was soft, his gaze intense as he searched my eyes for reassurance. I nodded, unable to form words as his kisses left me intoxicated and eager for more.
"Good, because I need you to relax now and never stop reading, understood ?" His words were a command, but there was tenderness in his tone that made my heart flutter.
his hands moved with purpose, pushing my dress up to my waist with a single smooth motion. The feeling alone made me moan, the anticipation of what was to come sending shivers of excitement through me. "Theo," I gasped.
"Yes, baby?" Theo's voice was a soothing balm, calming my nerves as I voiced my concern. "What if someone..."
Theo silenced me with a gentle finger on my lips. "Shh, Never be afraid, No one will ever dare to," he assured me, his eyes filled with sincerity and devotion.
With a final nod, I surrendered to the moment, focusing on the story in my hands .His hand cupped me through my panties, and I arched my back in response, holding onto his shoulder for support. He encouraged me to keep reading, his touch growing bolder yet still gentle.
I could feel myself getting wetter with each caress, my panties becoming soaked. With a tender touch, he parted my legs, and I continued reading, my voice trembling with desire.
As my arousal grew, I read with a shaky voice, he continued to rub gently through my panties, the fabric growing damp against my skin.
I kept reading, my voice trembling slightly as his touch sent shivers of pleasure through me. It was as if the words on the page were melting into a blur.
As his finger circled my clit through the soaked fabric, a soft gasp escaped my lips, and I found myself arching into his touch. My hand instinctively reached out, finding solace on his shoulder as I looked into his eyes, filled with a mix of desire and longing.
â you stop i stop baby â
"I'll keep reading," I whispered, my voice barely audible amidst the rising pleasure. "Please, don't stop."
He nodded, a smirk playing on his lips as he continued his ministrations. My focus wavered, the words of the book fading into the background as his touch became my entire world. The gentle circles, the teasing strokes, they all pushed me closer and closer to the edge .
Theo's voice broke through my haze of pleasure, his words a tantalizing invitation. "Will you come for me, darling?" he murmured, his fingers working their magic. "Right here, with your panties still on?"
I could only manage a nod, my body trembling with anticipation. With each touch, each stroke, I felt the tension building, the pleasure mounting to an almost unbearable level. And then it hit me, a wave of ecstasy crashing over me, my body shaking as I cried out in pure bliss.
His hands held me steady, guiding me through the intensity of my orgasm. As I slowly came down from the high, my eyes fluttered open to meet his gaze, a satisfied smile playing on his lips.
"Such a good girl," he praised softly, his voice filled with admiration and affection. He pulled my soaked panties down and knelt between my legs.
"Theo," I tried to say.
"Open those beautiful legs for me love " he said, and I did as he ordered. I looked down at him as he licked my thighs, and I couldn't help but tremble. He held my legs to control my movements, then pulled them around his shoulders, kissing the skin behind my knees.
"Oh, Theo, I can't... uhh..." I tried to express, but the pleasure was overwhelming.
"You can, baby. You're such a good girl. " he encouraged, and I nodded, closing my eyes to focus on the sensations.
Then, I felt his mouth on me. I gripped the blankets with both hands, moaning loudly as his tongue licked every inch of my pussy, circling my clit before moving down to my entrance.
Then he inserted a finger inside me, and I moaned loudly. moved his finger slowly while his tongue continued to lick my clit. Then, without warning, he began to move faster, adding another finger.
He kept hitting my G-spot, and my back arched so hard that I felt like I was going to fly. He held me down, and I tried to close my legs, but he kept them open.
His other hand started to circle my clit vigorously and rapidly, while his fingers continued to penetrate me deeply and quickly, hitting my G-spot repeatedly. His tongue never stopped its movements on my pussy.
I screamed his name, my hands gripping the blanket so tightly that I felt like I would tear it apart. Tears streamed down my face, my mascara running, as I gasped for air.
his touch became more intense and focused. His fingers expertly massaged my most sensitive areas, sending waves of pleasure through my body. I could feel myself getting wetter and wetter, aching for release.
Suddenly, I felt an intense pressure building inside me, different from anything I had experienced before. It was like a tingling warmth spreading from my core, radiating outwards with every touch.
And then it happened - a sudden gush of fluid escaped from me, soaking both of us in its warmth. It was a mix of surprise and intense pleasure, as I experienced squirting for the first time.
Theo's eyes widened in amazement and delight, his fingers never ceasing their movements as they continued to coax more pleasure from my trembling body. His lips met mine in a passionate kiss, his hands still gently exploring my body as if committing every inch to memory. As our lips parted, I whispered, "I love you," feeling the weight of those words and the depth of my emotions.
He kissed me again, a tender and lingering kiss that conveyed all the love and desire we shared. "I love you too only you , always you ," he murmured against my lips, his voice filled with warmth and sincerity.
Exhaustion washed over me like a gentle tide, and I nestled my head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The comfort of his embrace was like a warm blanket wrapping around me, and I closed my eyes, succumbing to the blissful embrace of sleep, knowing that I was safe and loved in his arms.

I was in my room reading, completely lost in a world of fantasy, until I heard a knock on my door.
"mh... come in." I said, not even taking my eyes off my book. My elder brother theodore opened the door and leaned against the doorframe. "my friend's coming tonight."
"who."
"enzo."
"who?" theo sighed.
"my friend. brown hair, brown eyes... he could be your type, actually." he joked.
"oh shut up, theo."
"just playing, sis... I won't let you lie a single finger on my fellas." he said as he walked out and closed the door behind him.
my brother was so annoying. it was not the first time he had brought his friends over, especially enzo who was often at our house, and it was fine with me as long as they didn't disturb me. I just wanted to stay in my little world in my room, which my brother used to call a "girly cave", and stay unbothered from men's presence.
the clock soon struck 8pm which had always been around the time when theodore welcomed his friends in. in fact, not so many minutes later, I heard my brother talking and an unknown voice answering.
I stayed on my cozy bed in my dim-lit room, fully immersed in the intriguing novel in my hands.
margaret's arms were all around jake's neck as they kept making out in the shower. jake was panting heavily and margaret couldn't help but moan every time jake squeezed her ass. she soon broke the kiss and rested her forehead against his - jake's right hand started to wander on her inner thigh expertly, slowly and teasingly touching her clit.
I immediately snapped back to reality, panickingly throwing the book in the air as my bedroom door opened.
"hey sis, just wanted to tell you enzo and I are watching a film in my room." enzo was standing next to him and I couldn't help but check him out a little, taking in his appearance and forgetting to try to look subtle. he had fluffy, almost wavy brown hair â brown eyes, a tall figure, and a slim body. he was wearing a black sweater and a pair of blue jeans, and I couldn't help noticing the earring he was wearing, which I found extremely sexy.
enzo eyed me up back, smirking still from my book-throwing of a few seconds ago.
"hi." I sheepishly said to him. he just kept his gaze on me and stared at my bare thighs longer than necessary.
"if you need me, we're there." he said as they both left my room, shutting the door behind them.
(skip time)
I woke up confused and thirsty, the lights of my room still on, and the book that was previously in my hands was now left on my bed opened to a random page. I rubbed my eyes slowly beginning to register what was going on, and so realizing that I might've fallen asleep.
I looked at the clock on my nightstand and noticed that it was past midnight. I groaned and sat up, still taking a few moments to fully wake up from my quite long nap. I got up and walked out of my room, trying to be as quiet as possible as I didn't know if my family was already sleeping.
as I walked down the corridor, I saw the light of my brother's room cursing under the door chink, which meant that he and enzo were still awake. I knocked on the door.
no one answered. maybe they had fallen asleep forgetting to turn the lights off just like me.
I walked away and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. I opened the door and looked at myself in the mirror, noticing my eye bags and messy hair.
I started to take my shirt off, then my shorts and my underwear, and in the end I opened the shower curtain to turn on the shower and get the hot water.
I screamed and immediately bent over to collect my clothes and press them against my naked figure, in an attempt to cover my body. there was enzo standing in the bathtub lathering up his body, he was shocked as well, but not as much as me since he didn't even try to cover up his crotch.
"is knocking no longer a trend anymore?" he said, a bit upset and a bit amused.
"I made a lot of noise! you could've let me know you were in here too!"
enzo rolled his eyes and spoke again. "lower your voice, or you'll wake theo up."
"I want to wake him up! he needs to know his friend is a damn pervert!" I was about to leave but he leaned out to grab my arm.
"oh you wouldn't dare."
my eyes widened in shock and almost disgust, but I won't lie saying I hadn't minded seeing his naked body.
"why won't you join me?"
I blushed hard. did he really ask me that? is he crazy? why was I nodding?
he smirked to himself as he saw me agreeing and gestured for me to get in with him.
I hesitantly removed the clothes from my body and let them drop back on the floor. I looked at him to see if he was making eye contact with me, but he wasn't â he was staring at my body in awe.
I made my way into the bathtub and joined him, now his gaze was on my face as he couldn't stop grinning at me, hip bottom lip between his teeth.
he didn't waste any time and immediately grabbed the back of my thighs to lift me up, then he pushed me against the cold and wet wall of the shower and held my legs tight around his waist. I automatically rested my hands on his lower chest, our eyes not leaving each other for one second.
with one of his hands, he reached the tap and turned the water on to muffle the noise we'd have made. and eventually, he pressed his lips against mine.
the kiss was slow at first, our heads often tilting to opposite sides to kiss more easily. I moved my arms around his neck, pulling him closer by the back of his head.
after some time of making out, I felt his hand leaving my thigh and rub against my clit. I gasped and threw my head back on the wall, my eyes shut and my mouth hung open. he soon slipped two fingers inside of me, making me moan in pleasure as he started to pump them in and out.
"enzo..." I moaned, clinging to his back.
"mhh... I've wanted to do this since I first saw you." he moaned back.
I was in complete ecstasy as I felt the hot water running on our bare skin â the noise of it taking over our moans of lovemaking â the feeling of his soft lips against mine, and his slender and long fingers fucking my pussy. he knew what he was doing.
"I'm so closeâŠ" I whined, almost begging him to let me release.
"hold on, baby. not like thisâŠ" he took his fingers out of me, leaving me a needy mess, and grabbed his now hard erection. he started stroking it a bit, then I felt his tip lining up against my folds.
I screamed as he pushed it inside of me without any warning, he stayed inside to let me adjust to his size, and then he began to thrust.
I could feel my walls wrap around him instantly, his thrusts not gentle at all so I could tell he had wanted this for quite a long time. he buried his face in the crook of my neck, often leaving wet kisses on my shoulder. suddenly we heard a knock on the door.
"enzo?" my brother called out. but enzo didn't bother to stop fucking me.
"it's me! I'm in the shower!" he answered.
"well, hurry up, I have to use the bathroom as well!" theo said back and then we heard his steps growing less and less loud as he walked away.
in the meantime I was completely in another universe â enzo's hand had covered my mouth to not let my brother find out what we were up to, while he kept up with his merciless thrusts.
"you're taking it so well..." he groaned into my ear. I dug my nails into his back, making him moan a little more at the painful pleasure of my gesture, and then I hit my orgasm.
the idea of making me come made enzo come right after me within a few seconds â I felt his thrusts getting faster and faster as he buried himself completely inside of me, and in the end, he pulled out cumming on my lower belly.
he kissed my forehead and put me down on my feet, making me stumble a bit from the intensity of what had just happened.
"don't tell your brother, will you, baby?" he stroked my cheek, then he turned the water off and opened the curtain.
I shook my head and he grinned at me before making his way out of the shower and wrapping a towel around his waist.

series masterlist; previous part; next part
Over the next few weeks, you and Riddle met up in one of the abandoned Astronomy classrooms to practice your lessons, and the library where you really did attempt to tutor him in Ancient Runes, with little to no luck. He was hopeless at the subject.
You were not friends by any means. You were like oil and water, not willing to step over the line that separated friend from foe. He was infuriating as ever, and he seemed to find your incessant need for asking questions entirely incorrigible. But you'd both come to an understanding: this was a necessary sacrifice for the greater good of your mutual friends. It needed to be done.
Your own friends were starting to question the hours you spent with him and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to lie when Harry spent every spare waking hour, that wasn't spent in school or on the Quidditch pitch, scanning the Marauder's Map.
In this particular session, Riddle had bombarded your thoughts with so much information and strain that you thought you'd pass out from exhaustion at any second.
"You're unfocused." he stated, unamused as he watched your hazed expression.
"You've been hounding me, for hours. I'm tired Riddle. Give me a break." you mumbled, voice low and resentful.
No. It's only been fifteen minutes. Due to your lack of focus, the burning sensation had come back at full force, causing you to stumble into the desk behind you.
He tutted, as he wrapped a strong arm around your waist to support you from injury, knowing Theo would probably maim him if something happened to you. When his hands retreated, his touch left a tingling sensation in its wake.
"Fine. 20 minutes. But the hour's not up yet. We'll carry on afterwards." he sounded as irritated as he looked, which had become a common occurrence in these sessions, not helped by your sarcastic commentary whenever you had the strength to cause an argument with him.
You closed your eyes for what felt like seconds, but it must've been for the duration of your 'break' because he woke you up with a forceful nudge.
"Breaks over. Now block me out like I showed you. We both know you're capable, prove to me that this wasn't a massive waste of time."
The burning sensation was back once again but it was duller than before, more manageable.
Ron saving the most goals he'd ever saved in one singular match.
Trying to teach Riddle a simple Rune pattern.
Hermione running out of the Gryffindor common room, tears streaming down her face.
Lavender Brown snogging your best friend.
You successfully locked your thoughts away, securing the lid of the 'box' with a mental thud, watching as the distinct orb of energy you'd recognised as Riddle's magical core, floated to a standstill in your mind.
"Good." he says, his face impassive. "Again."
He enters your mind with more vigour, but you're prepared this time, focusing your energy on keeping the ball of his magic confined to one area of your mind, to stop him unlocking all your thoughts.
What he didn't know was that you'd been reading up on Occlimency in any spare time you had to yourself, which was slim. You focused all your attention on that bright silver orb in your mind and pushed back with as much strength as you could muster. Startled, Riddle's shields fell momentarily.
You found yourself watching him from an outsider's perspective. You were in his home, the Riddle mannor, which gave off an air of stale coldness. Like death itself had taken up residence there. Then you heard it. The low hissing of a snake, Nagini â the snake that had attacked Arthur Weasley just over a year ago.
You watched as she glided past you, towards the shadow of a figure you were too afraid to face.
"My son." Voldemort says, in a creepy sort of drawl. "Have you done as I requested?"
You watched as Riddle, cold and indifferent as always, sucked in a breath before he stared his father in the face. Wordlessly he let the double doors behind him open, letting Malfoy and Berkshire stumble into the room, eyes flickering nervously.
"Yes father." he sounded resentful. And you caught the glance he shared with his two friends. He looked remorseful and almost...sad.
"And what of Master Nott? Master Zabini?" you saw Riddle's facade fall for only a moment, then watched as his shields slipped as he cradled the back of his head with a barely contained wince. Voldemort was in his head.
"Very interesting, my son." Voldemort hissed, eyes narrowed on the boy, who looked entirely too small under his father's watchful glare. "This must be remedied. Perhaps a little punishment will remind you of your place."
Then you watched as a father cast an unforgivable on his only living heir.
You were forced out of his mind with a push similar to what you had done to him, and when you cast your eyes onto his, you found twin obsidian irises...glaring at you.
"Satisfied?" he snarled, stalking towards you, backing you against the wall of the classroom. "Do you feel accomplished, sweetheart?"
The way his fists clashed with the wall on either side of your head prevented you from interpreting this new nickname. You stared up at him, shock and apprehension painting your features.
His eyes, once a cool, calming brown were like deep, black holes, narrowed on your expression. It scared you, rendered you speechless.
You should be scared, sweetheart. I didn't give you permission to do that. Gods, even the voice in your head was frightening. He was menacing.
He seemed to break out of his staring trance and shook his head slightly, as if this was an outer body experience for him. He looked surprised at being so close to you; you swore his eyes trailed from your own to your lips, but it must've been a nasty trick of the light, to dissuade you from this crazed persona he suddenly harboured.
He sighed as he pushed off the wall and without a word, he left. Once again leaving you standing alone in a dark, empty room.
~â~
The first Hogsmeade trip of the year is always a fun affair. You remember the very first time you stepped out of the carriage onto the cobblestone streets of the town with Ron and Hermione during your third year. And just like that first time, it was magical every year.
This year seemed extra special. Snow was falling heavily from the bright white sky and the third years were having fun throwing snowballs at each other. You were bundled up in warm clothes: hat, scarf, gloves and giant coat, in hopes of not having your limbs freeze.
"I am begging you," you mumble to the Golden trio, who walked beside you, "can we please go to the Three Broomsticks? I'm in need of a Butterbeer. Or better yet, a hot chocolate. I'm so fucking cold."
Ron only laughed at you while you shivered; they all agreed before he yelped and began hastily running away when he realised his detrimental mistake.
The idiot had dumped a load of snow on your head.
"RONALD!" you scream, but it's drowned out by your own laughter, along with Harry and Hermione's, the latter of which hadn't laughed much recently. "I'll get you for that you wanker!"
Your friends had seldom had time to have a proper laugh this year. Each busy with their own endeavours: Ron with his new girlfriend Lavender; Harry with Slughorn, under Dumbledore's ample instruction and Hermione, who was putting all her effort into avoiding the former and trying to persuade Harry to get rid of his potions book (which had given him a fast track to top of the class). It was a wonder that you'd convinced them to come along.
When you entered the pub, sodden and cold from the barrage of snow that Ron had unleashed on you, the warmth of Madame Rosmerta's heating charms caressed you like a tight hug. Unwrapping your scarf from your shoulders and removing your coat, gloves and hat, you slumped into the cushioned seat of a nearby empty table, not taking into account the surrounding occupants.
Riddle was sat among his friends, watching you. He'd been doing that more since he walked out on you a week ago. He didn't turn up to your next session a few days afterwards, and when he didn't show earlier that day, you walked out of the room, incredibly annoyed. But you weren't about to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he was beginning to affect you.
As you sat side on at the table, with Ron facing his back to them, you saw how, despite his guard being held up extremely well, he huffed a laugh when Enzo said something entirely unfunny and rolled his eyes when Theo said something dramatic. You also saw how his jaw visibly clenched when Pansy was talking about the recent boyfriend who ended up being a complete dick. You wouldn't be surpised to find the boy beaten to a bloody pulp later.
You paid attention to your friends when Harry dropped a steaming cup of hot chocolate in front of you.
"You truly are a life saver, oh Chosen One." you tease as he takes the seat opposite you.
"Piss off." he mumbles, but the smirk on his face tells you that he's not annoyed.
"I feel like we haven't spoke in ages." you say to your friends, who despite all being happy to see you, look like they'd rather be anywhere else. "How's being Captain treating you, Harold?"
As you let your friend mumble on about the stresses of looking after a group of rowdy quidditch players, you can't help the feeling that something terrible was going to happen.
~â~
An hour or so later, the four of you were wandering down an icy path back up towards the carriages that would take you to the castle, the only other people around were Katie Bell and her friend Leanne, who seemed to be immersed in an argument that you paid little attention to.
Hermione was arguing with Harry about his potions book again when the air around you went eerily still. Then you felt it, this strange feeling. It was magic, you'd recognise the feeling from anywhere, but this was different, it felt entirely too dark.
When the four of you rounded the corner of the lane, that feeling grew inexplicably. Leanne had tried to grab a brown paper package from Katie's grasp but the latter had tugged it back, causing whatever contents inside to fall to the ground. That eery feeling seemed to increase tenfold and you staggered to a holt as Katie Bell was hoisted into the air by an invisible force.
The sight was harrowing. She was six feet in the air by the time you'd raced to where Leanne was panicking. The package appeared to be an antique opal necklace, and it was omitting a deadly magical signature. It was without a doubt, cursed.
Harry went to touch it, but you rapidly grabbed his arm. "Don't. It's been cursed."
He looked at you incredulously but at that moment, poor Katie, who's hair was whipping wildly in her expressionless face, let out a gut renching, terrifying scream.
It seemed that Riddle and his friends rounded the corner at that moment; Theo and Pansy running to stand beside you, faces matching your own. Katie was still screaming when Riddle went to examine the necklace.
"It's been cursed." he mumbled to himself.
"We've already established that, Riddle." you mutter, glaring at him. He ignored you. "We can't deal with this ourselves. We need a teacher."
He seemed to agree with you as he sent Enzo and Zabini running back to the pub in search of someone, anyone. In the meantime, Katie seemed to be losing height and was getting lower to the ground, although she was still writhing uncontrollably. Mattheo, Theo and Ron managed to gently lower her body to the ground and you immediately went to check her over, until she began thrashing and screaming again, knocking away your approaching hand, sending an excruciating sensation up your forearm.
You winced, but only Riddle seemed to notice.
Enzo and Zabini came sprinting up the lane at that moment, Hagrid following hastily behind them.
"Get back!" the gamekeeper yelled, prompting you to all back away from Katie.
Leanne was a mess, sobbing as she tried to explain to Hagrid but he seemed to hear none of it as he stared down at the writhing girl for a moment. Without a word, he scooped her into his arms and began to run back up to the castle with her, carrying her piercing screams with him.
Hermione and Pansy immediately went to Leanne's aid, but you didn't move from your spot on the floor, staring at your arm, that was still burning.
Someone knelt in front of you, and expecting Theo, you looked up, startled to find Riddle, staring at you.
You looked away from him, but he cupped your chin with his fingers to bring your gaze to his.
"Are you alright?" he asked quietly, a curious look on his face, and underlines of worry were there too. But you only had one concern.
"Why could I feel the dark magic in that necklace? And why did she burn me and not any of you?" you asked timidly. You appeared to be shaking, from the adrenaline or the cold, you were none the wiser.
"I'm not sure, but we'll figure it out." he assured, he looked as confused as you felt.
"How?" you snapped. "You haven't shown up for the past week, Riddle."
He sighed as if annoyed before he did something you didn't know he was caple of.
"I'm sorry, okay. You caught me off guard, and I panicked. I'm sorry, sweetheart."
"Did you just apologise to me, Mattheo?" a slow smile began to graze your face.
"Tell anyone and I'll make you regret it." he muttered, but his brown eyes carried mirth as he stared at you.
You were about to reply when you saw Ron in the corner of your eye crounching bu the antique necklace.
"Don't touch it, Ron!" you said, jumping up, bursting the bubble that you and Riddle had created. Your friend startled and moved away from the necklace.
"I've seen it before." Harry mumbled and you watched as Riddle and all his friends tensed, it was a wonder that none of the boys you were with started throwing insults towards eachother. "On display in Borgin and Burkes ages ago. The label said it was cursed, Katie must've touched it."
Theo scoffed, which seemed to remind the trio that the Slytherins were still there.
"Something to say, Nott?" Ron snapped.
"Anyone with a brain can see that it was cursed, Weasley. But you still went to touch it. Thank Salazar for Meadow." Theo rebutted and you had half the mind to stand between the two of them to stop the fight, but you felt lightheaded. You needed to sit down, or maybe sleep for a week.
You grabbed hold of the closest thing for stability: Riddle's stupidly strong arm. He startled but said nothing as he held you up, hands cradling your forearms.
What's wrong? His voice was a soft caress.
I feel like I might pass out. My arm is burning.
Did you touch the necklace?
I think I'd be halfway in the air if I did, Mattheo.
He looks concerned.
I'm taking you to Madame Promfrey. Take the necklace too.
He seems to say something to Theo, who interrupts a sobbing Leanne in favour of levitating the necklace away.
"We'll take this to Madame Pomfrey." he says and at Hermione's troubled look, he reassures her. "Meadow's with us. She'll make sure it gets there Granger."
With that, you're guided away by the Slytherin prince and all his friends, but it all feels like a fever dream.

â© Theodore Nott x F!Reader
The one where a smitten Theodore Nott is willing to do anything and everything to see that smile of yours. Itâs only a matter of time before he has to let you know - and the school mandated trip might make that a lot earlier.
A/N: This was so disgustingly cute i actually almost threw up but ig its necessary after 61 letters LOL (also @stardustsymphony ur actually amazing i hope you like it)
songs: Lovers - anna of the north
Theodore Nott had a habit of being too cheerful for his own good, especially in the mornings. You couldnât figure out how he managed to wake up so early and still be this bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
It was unnatural.
You leaned against the Slytherin common room wall, waiting for your first class of the day, arms crossed and expression set in your usual neutral state. Your friends called it a "resting bitch face," though you insisted it was just your natural look.
Either way, no one seemed brave enough to bother you this early - except for Theo, of course.
"[name]!" His voice rang out from the entrance, and you groaned internally before turning your head to see him practically bouncing down the stairs, his dark hair flopping slightly as he moved.
âToo early for that much enthusiasm, Theo,â you muttered, but you didnât stop the small smile that tugged at the corner of your lips. He always had that effect on you, no matter how much you tried to resist it.
Theodore didnât seem fazed. He gave you a wide grin as he plopped down next to you on the stone bench. âItâs never too early! Have you seen outside? Itâs perfect weather - I thought we could grab breakfast and maybe sit by the lake before class.â
âNot sure if Iâm awake enough for all that,â you grumbled, pulling your cloak tighter around yourself. The dungeons were always too cold in the mornings. âBut breakfast doesnât sound too bad.â
âSee? Youâre already coming around,â he teased, his voice laced with amusement.
It was a running joke between the two of you. Theo was always the optimist, the 'sunshine' that (much to your dismay) seemed hellbent on making you smile. He was one of your closest friends, so you let him get away with it, though you wouldnât admit how much you enjoyed his company - or how much his smile did things to your heart you didnât entirely understand yet.
He nudged your arm gently. âI even asked Mattheo to save you a croissant for breakfast. No need to thank me, though Iâll accept compliments.â
You rolled your eyes but followed him out of the common room, the two of you falling into step as you walked through the corridors. It was easy, the way you fit together. Where you were quiet, he filled the silence with his never-ending commentary on whatever came to mind-whether it was about the latest Quidditch scores or some random thing he noticed about the castle.
Today, it was the latter.
âHave you ever noticed how that one portrait near the Great Hall looks like itâs giving people side-eye? I feel rather judged every time I walk by.â he rambled, feigning hurt as he places a hand on his chest.
You snorted, unable to help the laugh that bubbled up. âNo, but now Iâm definitely going to look for it.â
âSee? Iâm expanding your horizons,â he said with a satisfied grin.
You shot him a sideways glance. âYeah, yeah. Keep talking and youâll lose your seat.â
He laughed, his eyes crinkling at the edges in that way that always made your stomach flip. âYouâd miss me if I wasnât there.â
You didnât respond right away, but he wasnât wrong.
You didnât know how to describe the way your friendship with Theo felt like it was standing on the edge of something bigger, something neither of you had quite dared to name.
And maybe you werenât ready for it just yet. But when he sat down beside you, close enough that your knees brushed under the table, you couldnât help but wonder if he felt it too.
Theodore hummed contentedly as he reached for the little pot of sugar, dumping three heaped teaspoons into his coffee like it was perfectly normal behaviour. The steam rose lazily from the cup, and he stirred it absentmindedly, flashing you that familiar, easy-going smile.
âHave you packed for the astronomy trip tomorrow?â he asked casually, as though he hadnât just committed a serious coffee crime right in front of you. âApparently TromsĂž is absolutely piss cold at this time of year. Draco was telling me.â
âIâll help you pack later. Just so you donât forget something important. Like, I donât know, an extra jumper for me.â
You shot him a glare. âSure, Theodore. Iâll just pack your entire wardrobe while Iâm at it.â
âWouldnât dream of asking,â he replied, grinning again. âJust the scarf, though. You know, my lucky one.â
You snorted. âThat hideous green one? Absolutely not.â
âBlasphemy,â he said dramatically, clutching his chest. âYou wound me, [name].â
âGood,â You deadpan, turning to look at him.
You raised an eyebrow, eyeing him with something between disbelief and amusement. âGod, Theodore-â you chided, pointing at his cup with disgust, âis that not just sugar with a side of coffee?â
"Well someone needs to make up for the clear joy discrepancy in this friendship." He defended, taking a long sip as if to punctuate his point.
You rolled your eyes, but you couldnât stop the smirk creeping onto your face. âRight, because your never-ending cheerfulness is the only thing keeping us all from a dark, miserable existence.â
âExactly!â he declared, entirely too pleased with himself. âIâm performing a public service, really. One smile at a time.â
There was something ridiculously charming about how he just⊠didnât care. Theodore was all lightness and laughter, one could argue too much so for a Slytherin.
âI wouldnât need to drink quite so much sugar if youâd stop glaring at me like Iâve just murdered a puppy.â he teased, bumping your knee lightly under the table. âHonestly, one of these days Iâm going to get you to smile before 10 a.m. Just you wait.â
You scoffed, but the warmth in his tone made it impossible to stay annoyed. âYouâd have better luck with a Patronus charm.â
"There's a reason why I'm top of the DADA class" Theodore shot back with a cocky grin.
Despite yourself, you felt the corners of your mouth twitching upward, and before you could stop it, a smile crept across your face. Quickly, you took a sip of your coffee to cover it up, but Theodore noticed.
If you saw the way he looked at you, you'd know he was in love then and there. The way he almost melted into your expression, eyebrows almost furrowing as he looks over at you. Just as he opened his mouth, ready to say something - something he wasnât even sure he was ready to admit to himself- Pansyâs voice cut through the quiet.
âWell, if it isnât day and night sitting over here,â she chimed, plopping down next to you with a knowing smirk.
âMerlinâs sake, Theo. Youâre going to give yourself diabetes.â Pansyâs voice broke through, dry and unimpressed as ever.
âI reckon the sugarâs the only thing keeping him tolerable,â Mattheo said, slouching into his chair and eyeing Theodoreâs cup with disdain. âOtherwise, we'd have to listen to him drone on about defensive spells without end.â
You snorted into your coffee before you could help it, the sound surprising you. You couldn't help the laughter that bubbled up, covering your mouth as you shoot Mattheo a glare that was only half-serious. It was loud - unfiltered and genuine, and when you glanced up, you found Theodore staring at you with that easy smile, his eyes warm and a little too soft. Even with Mattheoâs jab at his expense, Theodore couldnât bring himself to be mad, not when the sound of your laughter was still ringing in his ears.
âRight, like Iâd ever come to you for life advice, Mattheo,â Theodore muttered, finally tearing his gaze away from you, though his grin lingered.
Mattheo shrugged lazily. âProbably shouldn't. Iâm a terrible influence."
You let the three of them fall into conversation as you zone out, sipping on your coffee. Their chatter faded into the background as your mind wandered, focusing instead on the upcoming trip. The Astronomy classâs trip to TromsĂž was all anyone could talk about lately.
And as the pessimist you were, all you could focus on was how damn cold it was going to be.
--
You were right.
It was cold - too damn cold.
As soon as the group stepped off the train in TromsĂž, the icy wind cut through your layers like they were made of parchment. You pulled your scarf tighter around your neck, teeth chattering despite the heavy coat you wore.
"Bloody hell," you muttered under your breath, glancing around at your classmates as they all shivered in the bitter chill. "Why did I think this was a good idea?"
"Because itâs Norway, and weâre going to see the Northern Lights," Pansy answered with a 'that's so obvious' tone, bundling herself up in a fur-lined coat that looked like it cost more than your entire wardrobe.
You shot her a look. âI donât care if weâre going to see dragons dancing in the sky. Itâs fucking freezing.â
Pansy only rolled her eyes, linking arms with Lorenzo as they trudged ahead through the snow-covered streets. The rest of your group followed suit- Draco, Mattheo, Blaise, and, of course, Theodore- who was surprisingly unfazed by the weather, despite the hideous green scarf he insisted on wearing.
By the time you arrived at the lodge where you were all staying, your fingers were numb and your patience thin. The lodge was quaint, wooden, and cosily tucked away at the edge of the forest, the surrounding snow-capped trees giving it a 'hallmark christmas' charm.
You all shuffled into the common room, where the housekeeper with a rather large bushy moustache greeted you with thick blankets and far too much enthusiasm for someone who lived in such a cold climate. Everyone split off to their rooms, getting settled before heading out for the eveningâs stargazing expedition - one you had organised amongst yourselves. You were sharing a room with Pansy, while Theodore was bunking with Blaise.
Once you'd unpacked, you met the group downstairs again. The fire crackled in the hearth as the others talked about what to do before heading out for the night.
Theodore appeared by your side, leaning casually against the arm of the sofa you were sitting on. "So," he started, that familiar grin tugging at his lips, "what do you want to do?"
You frowned at him in confusion. "Why are you asking me?"
"Because I want to do whatever you want to do," he replied simply, as if it was the most obvious answer in the world.
You blinked at him, caught off guard by the sincerity in his voice. "I don't care. I'll just go along with whatever everyone else is doing."
But Theodore wasnât having it. "You always say that. Câmon, humor me."
Before you could argue, Mattheo walked past and clapped Theodore on the shoulder. "Come on, Nott, stop making her overthink. Letâs go grab some snacks and freeze our asses off while we wait for the lights," he said, and with that, the group started bundling up again, ready to head out into the freezing night.
--
The sky above was almost too perfect - as though it had been plucked straight from a postcard. It almost compensated for the bone numbing chill, the sight of string-light lit stalls far too pretty to make you feel grumpy.
For a while, though.
You trudged along beside Theodore, bundled in so many layers that it felt like your entire body had been wrapped in blankets. The long puffer jacket you wore reached nearly to your knees, and your scarf-wrapped around your neck at least three times-barely left room for your face to peek through. You couldn't help but grumble to yourself, tugging at the edge of your gloves to make sure no skin was exposed to the biting cold.
Theodore, of course, noticed immediately.
"Merlin's beard, you're waddling," he teased. "If you added another layer, you might not be able to walk at all."
You shot him a glare from under your knitted hat. "I'd rather waddle than freeze to death."
He chuckled, eyes flicking over your bundled-up form with an almost too-pleased look on his face. "I donât know, itâs kind of cute. You look like a disgruntled penguin."
You snorted, half-annoyed, half-amused. "Glad you're entertained."
"Come on," he coaxed, nudging your arm lightly, "I bet under all those layers, you're secretly enjoying this. Youâre just too stubborn to admit it."
"Enjoying this?" you asked incredulously, gesturing to the freezing air and the snow-covered ground beneath your feet. "Iâm wearing half my wardrobe just to avoid becoming an icicle."
Theodore shrugged, his easy grin never faltering. "Still cute, though."
"You're insufferable, Nott," you muttered, scowling as you slap his arm.
He grinned wider, clearly pleased with himself for pulling that almost-smile out of you.
"Oi! We're gonna go see if we can get some hot chocolate and blankets before we set up for the evening, You guys just guard our spot before someone else grabs it." Blaise yells from a short distance, and Theodore nods as you groan. You wanted to be in the cosy warm lodge - not out here on an isolated ledge in the middle of god-knows where whist your friend traipse around the quaint markets.
You look up, momentarily stunned as the half sarcastic curses that were about to escape your mouth dry out on your tongue. Ripples of greens and blue entwine, seamlessly dancing through the dark that otherwise shrouded the night-sky. It wasn't magic, only charged particles from the sun colliding with gases in Earth's atmosphere, causing them to emit light in vibrant colors, typically seen near the polar regions (courtesy of muggle book you had read on the journey here) but it was nonetheless enchanting.
Surprisingly, your voice broke the silence. âBeautiful, isnât it?â
Theodore nodded, eyes fixed on you. âYeah⊠it really is.â
There was a brief silence, and when you glanced over, you found Theodore watching you instead of the sky, his expression soft.
âWhat?â you asked, raising an eyebrow.
He shrugged, still smiling. âNothing. Just trying to figure out how to make you smile.â
You huffed, turning your gaze back to the sky. âWhy do you care so much?â
âBecause I like seeing it,â he said simply, his voice so sincere it made your stomach flip.
You didnât respond, the weight of his words lingering in the cold air between you. After a moment, he sighed dramatically, throwing his hands up in mock defeat. âIâll have to try harder, then.â
âYouâre impossible,â you muttered, though your tone was more fond than irritated now.
He chuckled, his laugh low and warm. âAnd youâre stubborn.â
You turned to chastise him, ready with another quip, but the words faltered when you looked up at him. The moonlight caught his features- soft shadows dancing across his sharp jawline, his eyes gleaming with that look that you had seen far too often these past few weeks. His scarf, that hideous green thing, was crooked as always, the ends flapping slightly in the breeze.
Your hands moved instinctively, reaching up to fix it. "This scarf..." you started, your voice trailing off as you focused on straightening it.
Theodoreâs gaze never faltered as he watched you, his eyes tracing every detail of your face as if committing it to memory. "You know, Iâm not sure if you actually hate the scarf or if itâs just an excuse to keep touching me."
You scowled, though the heat rising in your cheeks betrayed you. âDonât flatter yourself,â you mumbled, but even you could hear the wavering in your voice.
His smile widened, but he didnât say anything more, just stood there.
Before you knew what you were doing, you tugged him closer by the scarf, pulling him toward you. "This hideous scarf of yours," you muttered under your breath, using it as a flimsy excuse to hide the fact that you were really just closing the gap between you.
Theodoreâs eyes flickered down to your lips, his breath fogging in the cold air between you. And then, without another word, you closed the distance.
The kiss was soft at first, tentative, like both of you were testing the waters. But the second his lips moved against yours, something inside you shifted. It was slow, unhurried, his hands gently cradling your face as if he had all the time in the world. The cold air disappeared entirely, replaced by the warmth of his touch, his closeness, and the feeling of him - consuming you.
When you finally pulled back, both of you breathless, Theodoreâs eyes were still on you, that stupid smile of his making your knees weak.
"You didnât even fix the scarf," he whispered, a teasing smile tugging at his lips.
You rolled your eyes, still trying to catch your breath, but you couldnât fight the grin that broke through. "Shut up."
But Theodore only laughed, leaning in again to steal another kiss.
Your gloved hands came up, fisting the thick wool of his jacket as you-
âFinally!â Pansyâs dry tone rang out, followed by the sound of scattered applause.
You and Theodore broke apart, startled, only to find the rest of your group approaching, grinning like idiots.
âWhat the-?â you began, but Blaise interrupted, holding up a handful of galleons.
âWe made a bet on how long itâd take for you two to finally snog," he said with a grin, pocketing the winnings. "I was getting worried."
Your face burned, and your grumpy demeanor returned in full force as you glared at them all. "I hate every single one of you."
But before you could storm off, Theodore just chuckled, pulling you into his side with a warmth that made it hard to stay annoyed. "Donât worry," he murmured, pressing a quick kiss to the top of your head, "theyâre just jealous."
Grumbling under your breath, you leaned into him as the group settled down.
Perhaps it wasn't all too bad.

Lorenzo Berkshire was used to attention. It came naturally, like the breeze flowing through the dungeons of Hogwarts. His charm was undeniable, his smile a constant source of flustered stares and half-hidden blushes. But for you? Things were a little different.
Youâd never been particularly fond of eye contact. It wasnât shyness as much as it was discomfort â eyes always held too much, revealed too much. So, naturally, you avoided it. When people spoke to you, your gaze drifted elsewhere: over their shoulders, to the floor, or anywhere but their eyes. It wasnât a problem, not really, because everyone had come to expect it from you.
Except with Lorenzo, it wasâŠdifferent.
You didnât just avoid his eyes â you couldnât even look at him. Not even for a second. Every time his deep brown gaze turned to you, a wave of heat washed over you, leaving you frozen, fumbling, and searching for any safe spot to rest your gaze that wasnât his face.
And Lorenzo? He noticed. How could he not?
It wasnât unusual for you to talk to Theodore Nott, making light eye contact when necessary, or even Blaise Zabini, though fleeting. But the moment it came to Lorenzo, your eyes would flicker elsewhere like you were avoiding him for some unspeakable reason. At first, he brushed it off, but now? Now it was starting to gnaw at him, his curiosity turning into something like jealousy.
Today, Lorenzo was determined to get some answers.
You were sitting by the lake, your gaze focused on the water as it rippled in the sunlight. Your hands fidgeted with the edge of your robe, a familiar habit you resorted to when you were feeling uneasy.
Lorenzo approached, his footsteps light but purposeful. âHey,â he greeted, the warmth in his voice causing your heart to stutter.
âHey,â you mumbled back, keeping your gaze trained on the lake, watching the tiny waves lap against the shore. His presence was close â too close â but you couldnât bring yourself to look at him.
He sat down beside you, a comfortable distance apart, but the silence that stretched between you was heavy. It wasnât like your usual silences, where you both existed in a bubble of mutual understanding. No, this one wasâŠtense.
âSo,â Lorenzo started after a long moment, his voice casual but tinged with something deeper, âwhy wonât you look at me?â
You stiffened, fingers halting their restless movements. Your heart jumped into your throat, pulse quickening as his question lingered in the air. You could feel his eyes on you, burning with an intensity that made your skin prickle.
âIâI donât know what youâre talking about,ïżœïżœïżœ you muttered, still refusing to meet his gaze. You stared harder at the lake, as if willing it to swallow you whole.
Lorenzo let out a soft huff, not buying it for a second. âCome on, donât play dumb. Iâve noticed it, you know? You can look at Theo, Blaise, even bloody Draco when heâs being a prat. But me?â He leaned in slightly, his voice lower, closer. âYou wonât even glance my way.â
You swallowed hard, your chest tightening as panic began to creep in. âItâs not⊠I just donât like making eye contact,â you said lamely, knowing full well that it wasnât the whole truth.
Lorenzo let out a low chuckle, though it lacked humor. âYeah? Then why can you look at everyone else?â
Your heart pounded, and you could feel the heat rising to your cheeks. You were trapped, caught in a web of your own creation. It wasnât that you didnât want to look at Lorenzo â quite the opposite. He wasâŠwell, Lorenzo. Charming, effortlessly handsome, and always exuding that calm, confident aura that drew people in. And you? You felt like a tangled mess whenever he was around, too self-conscious, too aware of everything. Especially of how much you liked him.
âIâItâs complicated,â you mumbled, still refusing to turn your head in his direction. The lake had become your lifeline, a visual anchor in this awkward, nerve-wracking conversation.
Lorenzo shifted, and you felt the space between you decrease ever so slightly. His knee brushed against yours, sending a jolt of electricity through you. âComplicated?â he echoed, his voice softening, but there was an edge of vulnerability in it. âWhatâs so complicated about looking at me?â
You clenched your fists in your lap, debating whether to finally admit the truth or keep dodging. But the way his voice softened made your defenses falter. âI⊠I just get nervous,â you finally confessed, your voice barely above a whisper. âWhen itâs you, I mean.â
He didnât say anything right away, and the silence that followed felt suffocating. You risked a glance â a quick, fleeting one â and saw that his expression had shifted, from curiosity to something more tender, more understanding.
âNervous?â he asked, his tone no longer teasing. âWhy?â
You swallowed again, feeling exposed, vulnerable in a way you hadnât expected. âIâI donât know, Lorenzo. Youâre justâŠdifferent. Itâs hard to explain.â
There was a long pause, and then Lorenzo sighed, though it wasnât out of frustration. It was more like he was finally understanding something that had been puzzling him for a while. âYou like me, donât you?â
Your breath hitched, and your entire body tensed at his words. It wasnât a question â it was a statement. One that you had no idea how to respond to.
âIââ you started, but your voice failed you.
Lorenzo, however, didnât wait for a verbal confirmation. He shifted even closer, his fingers brushing yours in a gesture so gentle it made your heart ache. âYou know, you couldâve just told me,â he murmured, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. âI wouldâve saved us both a lot of confusion.â
Your eyes were glued to your hands now, the space where your skin touched, your heart thundering in your chest. âI didnât think⊠I didnât know how to say it.â
Lorenzo hummed, his voice soothing in its warmth. âWell, now you donât have to say anything,â he replied softly. âYou just have to look at me.â
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, and you hesitated for a moment longer before finally lifting your gaze. The moment your eyes met his, the world seemed to slow down. His brown eyes, warm and sincere, locked onto yours, and for the first time in what felt like forever, you didnât feel the urge to look away.
âThere,â Lorenzo said, his voice low and almost teasing, âthat wasnât so hard, was it?â
You felt your lips twitch into a small, embarrassed smile, and for the first time, you didnât need the lake to distract you. Because looking at Lorenzo? It felt right.
âYeah,â you whispered, your voice soft but filled with something moreârelief, maybe even hope. âIt wasnât so hard after all.â

Being in hufflepuff was a good as well as tiring experience. Your housemates were cheerful and had a positive vibe, most of them were smart and badass but to others, you guys were portrayed as a bunch of smiles and laughs. The most common assumption that other houses had regarding you was that they thought you were shy, sweet and naive but you are not, you are just quiet and enjoy your alone time. It was a given that most of them who tried to bother you or make fun of you were pleasantly shut down and put into place. And on such days, your friend Hannah would find you in a sour mood.
âWhat happened now?â She asked curiously after seeing your grumpy expression. You shook your head and mouthed âpotionsâ. That was enough for her to guess what might have happened. You shared potions with the Slytherins and one of them always bothered you because he considered himself as an expert in the subject just because of his house when in reality he was not. As you guys were about to sit down and relax, someone's footsteps caught your attention. To your left stood Theo, the boy with whom you were paired up, courtesy of professor Snape.
âNeed to discuss something.â He said plainly and turned around. You didn't know what he was expecting but still stood up to follow him. Hannah looked at you with wide eyes and a smirk, knowing well about your crush on the tall boy. âOut of my league.â You would say but she was convinced that he liked you back.
Theodore led you to one of the quiet spots in the library. You took a seat in front of the windows while he wandered off to select the books needed for the potions assignment. After a few minutes he came back with not one but three thick books making you chuckle and the tall Slytherin graced you with a rare smile of his own. It made your heart flutter.
âAll good, badger? You sure this is a study session and not a tutoring program for yourself?â A nasty voice interrupted your study session. You were too deep in the books to notice him the first time.
âWhat do you want, Codnor? We're busy here.â Theo said to his housemate. The boy continued to stare at the two of you until you finally snapped.
âCodnor, please go to madam pomfrey and get your eyes checked. They're stuck at our table, I think that might be a serious issue.â He looked at you with a very displeased expression but before he could retaliate, Theo had gotten up and made him leave.
When he returned, he saw you mumbling and couldn't hold back his laugh. âStop it.â You whispered angrily. Theo raised his hands in surrender and took his seat. âYou know [Y/N], there's something about you that I might've guessed wrong.â
âWhat?â You looked at him confused.
âI thought that you were one of those shy ones but you're not. You're feisty. I like that. I like you more now.â An awkward moment followed after his unexpected words. Theo cleared his throat and tried to find the right words.
âWhat do you mean, Theo? You're not teasing me, are you? Because that's a little evil considering you know how I feel.â
âNo. I'm not. I'd never.â He reassured you. âAnd I know about how you feel.â
For the first time since you reached Hogwarts, you saw Theo at a loss of words. âAre you saying that you feel the same?â You asked him quietly, hesitantly.
âMerlin! Yes. I am not good with words but I'll try. [Y/N] [Y/L/N], i am infatuated with you, your personality and intelligence add to your charm. Will you do me a favour by being my girlfriend and making me the happiest man alive?â He forwarded his hand, palm up, to you.
You blinked in shock then did a little dance while sitting on the chair because you couldn't shout in the library. âYes. A thousand times yes.â You placed your hand in his. He brought it up to his lips and placed a chaste kiss at the back of your hand.
The rest of the afternoon went away peacefully and by the end of it, you ended up in Theo's lap, sharing your first kiss.
THE END.

Lorenzo was always calm, always collected. He moved through life with the kind of ease that made everyone else envy himâa permanent smirk tugging at his lips, a lazy confidence in every stride. But tonight? Tonight, that composure was cracked, splintering with every passing second.
And it was your fault.
Because even while his friends laughed, argued, and passed bottles of Firewhisky around the table, Lorenzo didnât see them. He didnât hear the clink of glasses or the familiar banter filling the room. No, the only thing he saw was an X-ray version of you, his mind peeling back the thick-knit sweater and denim jeans you wore to reveal the little red-laced secret youâd shown him before everyone arrived.
He couldnât decide if he loved you or hated you in moments like this. Maybe both.
You sat beside him, close enough that your knee occasionally bumped his under the table. To everyone else, you looked effortlessly put togetherâan angel in your festive sweater and jeans, so soft, so sweet. But Lorenzo knew better.Â
And he was trying to behaveâMerlin, he was trying. But every subtle movement of yours, every time you reached for your glass of wine or leaned forward to laugh at one of Theoâs jokes, he felt the blood rush to his head and lower. You were a menace.
âYou good, mate?â Blaiseâs voice jolted him back to the moment.Â
Lorenzo blinked, quickly plastering on a grin that he hoped didnât look too strained. âYeah, of course. Why wouldnât I be?â
Blaise shrugged, tipping his glass toward Lorenzo. âYou just seem a little... distracted. Too much wine already?â
Before Lorenzo could answer, you chimed in, your voice light and teasing. âOh, donât blame the wine. Lorenzoâs just got a lot on his mind tonight.â
He glanced at you, eyes narrowing ever so slightly. You gave him an innocent smile, one that made his chest tighten and his fists clench under the table.Â
Draco leaned back in his chair, smirking. âBet itâs work. You always get that look when youâre thinking about work.â
âYeah,â Lorenzo muttered, forcing himself to look away from you. âWork.â
âLighten up, Berkshire.â Pansy reached for the bottle to refill her glass. âItâs Christmas. No one wants to hear about whatever boring Ministry nonsense youâve got going on.â
âItâs not boring,â Theo cut in, gesturing with his fork. âEnzo probably has a very important case. You know, like illegal broomstick modifications or... I donât know, someone stealing cauldrons.â
The table burst into laughter, and even Lorenzo managed a weak chuckle. But his thoughts werenât on the conversation. They were on youâon the way you crossed your legs, the way you kept tugging at your sweater like you were hiding something beneath.Â
He barely registered when Mattheo passed him the tray of roast potatoes, only grabbing it when Theo nudged his shoulder. âYouâre really out of it, mate.â
âIâm fine,â Lorenzo said quickly, setting the tray down with a bit more force than necessary. He glanced at the clock, then at the empty plates around the table. âShould we bring out dessert?â
You tilted your head, a slow smile curving your lips. âDessert already? But the nightâs just getting started, isnât it?âÂ
If you werenât sitting in a room full of people, Lorenzo wouldâve kissed that smirk off your faceâor done something else entirely. Instead, he swallowed hard, leaning back in his chair and gripping his glass like it might anchor him. Â
âDonât worry, love,â you said softly, just loud enough for him to hear. âIâll make sure you get exactly what you want... eventually.âÂ
Lorenzo groaned under his breath, earning a curious glance from Draco. This was going to be a long night.
The evening dragged on in fits and starts, each laugh and clink of glasses feeling like a small eternity. Lorenzo kept himself occupied pouring drinks, clearing plates, and chiming in on conversations when necessary, but his attention was always split. The rest of the group was far too absorbed in their own stories to notice the tension simmering beneath the surfaceâexcept for you.Â
You leaned into every teasing word, every subtle graze of your fingers against his arm or leg, pushing his limits without saying a word. By the time Theo and Blaise started debating the best Quidditch team of the decade, Lorenzo was practically vibrating with the effort it took to keep his composure.
âAlright,â Pansy announced at last, standing and stretching her arms overhead. âI think thatâs my cue to head out before Blaise starts drafting us for his imaginary team.â
âImaginary?â Blaise shot back. âI could make the Cannons win if I had half a chance.â
Draco rolled his eyes, standing to help Pansy with her coat. âIf Blaise keeps this up, weâll all be here until morning.â
A flurry of goodbyes followed, with everyone exchanging hugs and well-wishes. You played the perfect hostess, ushering them out with a warm smile while Lorenzo stood stiffly at the door, offering little more than clipped nods. He was polite enough to keep up appearances, but you could see the strain in the set of his jaw, the tightness in his shoulders.
Finally, the door clicked shut, and the silence that followed felt deafening.
You turned, leaning casually against the door as you looked at him. âWell, that wasnât so bad, was it?â
Lorenzo said nothing at first, his eyes scanning your face before dropping lowerâto the hem of your sweater, which you had just barely started to tug up before letting it fall again. The corner of his mouth twitched, but it wasnât a smile. It was something darker, more dangerous.
âNot bad?â His voice was low, quiet in a way that sent shivers down your spine. âYou think that was not bad?â
You shrugged, feigning innocence. âEveryone had a good time. Whatâs there to complain about?â
Lorenzo took a slow step forward, his gaze fixed on yours. âYou know exactly what.â
You laughed softly, pushing off the door and sauntering past him toward the living room. âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â
âYou donât, huh?â He was behind you in an instant, his hand closing gently but firmly around your wrist. The heat of his touch sent a jolt through you, and you turned to face him, your heart pounding.Â
He leaned in, his lips brushing against your ear as he whispered, âYouâve been driving me mad all night, love. And now you want to play coy?â
You tilted your head, your lips curving into a sly smile. âI donât know... maybe I just wanted to see if you could handle it.â
Lorenzoâs grip tightened just slightlyânot enough to hurt, but enough to let you know you were treading on thin ice. âHandle it? Sweetheart, you have no idea what youâve just started.â
Before you could respond, he released your wrist and stepped back, his eyes roaming over you with an intensity that made your skin flush. He gestured toward the sweater with a flick of his fingers. âGo on, then. Show me.â
You hesitated for a moment, letting the tension stretch just long enough to tease him. The air between you felt thick, thick with something that wasnât just anticipation, but need. Lorenzo was standing so still, his jaw clenched tight, his gaze trained on you like you were the only thing in the world.Â
And you, of course, were taking your sweet time. You took a step forward, brushing your fingertips across the collar of his shirt. âWhatâs the matter, Enzo? You look a little... tense.â
He didnât respond at first. His hands flexed at his sides, a muscle in his neck tensing as he triedâunsuccessfullyâto hold onto whatever sliver of control he had left. But you could feel it, the way the air between you had shifted, crackling with something dangerous.Â
Then, before you could blink, he was thereâhis large hands gripping your waist with bruising force, lifting you off the ground and throwing you over his shoulder without a word.
You gasped, more out of surprise than anything, but the playful smirk you wore didnât falter. âEnzo! Whatââ
But he didnât care to hear it. His steps were long and measured as he marched toward your bedroom, every move deliberate, as if he was on a mission. The door slammed behind him with a finality that made your stomach flutter with nervous excitement.Â
Without giving you a chance to say another word, he dropped you onto the bed with a force that made the mattress bounce. The sound of your heart thudded in your chest, and for a split second, everything was quiet.Â
Lorenzo stood at the edge of the bed, staring down at you like you were a puzzle he had to figure out. He dragged his gaze up and down your body, lingering on the way your sweater stretched across your chest, the hint of red lace peeking out from beneath it. His eyes darkened, almost black with hunger.
âDo you have any idea what youâve done to me tonight?â His voice was rough, ragged, and you could feel it, feel the restraint slipping away with every passing second.
You grinned, leaning back against the pillows like you didnât have a care in the world. âI think I have a pretty good idea,â you teased, running your hand down your side, accentuating the way the fabric of your jeans hugged your hips.Â
Lorenzoâs breath hitched. âYou think itâs funny?â he growled. He didnât wait for your response. He was done with your teasing, done with pretending to be patient. He reached down, yanking your sweater off over your head in one swift motion, the sound of fabric ripping filling the air. His hands were all over you now, rough and demanding, tracing the delicate lines of your body like he couldnât get enough.
There, beneath it all, was the lingerie. Red lace that hugged your curves, teasing him even more than you had with your coy little glances and touches all night. The delicate lace barely covered your chest, and he could see itâsee the way your nipples peeked through, hard and waiting for him. His eyes flicked up to yours, and for the briefest moment, he saw that glint of mischief in them.
âYouâre such a fucking brat,â he muttered, running his hand up your thigh, feeling the soft fabric of your jeans under his fingertips. âYou think you can just walk around in front of me like this and not expect me to lose my mind?â
You tilted your head, your voice sweet yet laced with defiance. âMaybe you shouldnât have invited everyone over then.âÂ
Lorenzo growled, shaking his head before he leaned over you, his lips trailing along your neck, tasting your skin with each breath.Â
âYouâre lucky I donât tear this off right now,â he muttered against your skin. âBut Iâm going to enjoy this, Iâm going to take my time, because you deserve every second of this.â
He traced the edge of your lingerie with his fingers, his touch so slow and deliberate it made your breath catch in your throat. You squirmed beneath him, desperate for more, but he wouldnât give it to youânot yet. His lips moved lower, pressing kisses along your collarbone, down to the delicate swell of your chest where the lace barely contained your breasts.
You moaned softly, and it was enough. Lorenzo could feel the restraint inside of him snap.
Without warning, he yanked at the straps of your lingerie, pulling them down just enough to expose your breasts. His hands immediately moved to cup them, squeezing and kneading them with rough insistence. You gasped, arching into his touch as he leaned down, taking one of your nipples into his mouth. The heat of his tongue and the way he sucked and nipped at you made your body tremble, your hands gripping his hair as you urged him on.Â
He pulled away, his eyes flashing with something dark, something primal. âYou wanted to tease me? Now you get to feel what itâs like when I canât keep my hands off you.â
The next moments were a blur of frantic movement, his hands and lips devouring you, tearing at your clothes with such urgency you could barely keep up. But you didnât mind. You wanted this, needed it, wanted to feel him lose himself in you.Â
And soon, it wasnât just about the teasing anymore. It was about claiming, about showing just how badly you had driven him to the edge.
He tugged your jeans down your legs with little care for the slow buildup heâd promisedâhe was done with that. You werenât in the mood for waiting either. The moment your legs were bare, his hands were back, grazing over your skin like he couldnât get enough.Â
You let out a soft whimper when he knelt between your legs, eyes dark and focused on the lingerie that had driven him mad all night. The red lace, so simple, so soft, now felt like a tauntâa promise of what he hadnât had, what heâd been denied for too long. He ran his hands along the edges of the fabric, just skimming the sides, before tugging it down slowly, exposing you to him fully.
Your breath hitched when the cool air hit your skin, and Lorenzo wasted no time, pressing his lips to your inner thighs, his breath warm and heavy against you. His hands were still on your tits, gripping and squeezing as he kissed and nipped his way closer, the anticipation making your body tremble beneath him.
âFuck, youâre beautiful,â he muttered under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear, before he finally pulled back to look at you fully. His eyes flickered between the lace remnants at your waist and your flushed face, a smile tugging at his lips, though it was filled with nothing but hunger. âYou think you can tease me like this and get away with it?â
You couldnât help the teasing grin that crossed your face. âMaybe I can.â
His gaze turned intense. "We'll see about that." He stood up quickly, pulling his shirt over his head, exposing his chest to you. The movement was fluid, almost predatory, and the way he reached for his trousers sent a thrill straight through you. The urgency in his actions was both exciting and nerve-wrackingâhe wasnât just acting on desire, he was acting on something else too. Something deeper, something urgent.
Before you could even react, Lorenzo was back over you, pressing you into the bed with his body, pinning your arms above your head. His lips found yours in a bruising kiss, hot and demanding. You gasped into his mouth when you felt the pressure of him, hard and insistent, against your stomach. His body was tense, his every movement purposeful as he ground against you, unable to hold back.
You moaned against his lips, desperate for more, for something, anything. "Enzo..." you whispered, pulling your hands free to thread them through his hair, tugging him closer. "Please."
He pulled back just enough to look down at you, a smirk playing at the corner of his mouth. "Begging already?" he murmured, his voice thick with lust. But there was something in his eyesâsomething softer that made your chest tighten. His hand moved to the back of your neck, his thumb brushing over your skin in a fleeting moment of tenderness before he returned to his more urgent touch.
You felt the heat between your legs intensify, an ache so deep it threatened to consume you, and you didnât want to hold back anymore. "I want you, Enzo," you breathed, the words leaving your lips before you could stop them.
Lorenzoâs smirk deepened, but there was a teasing, almost mocking quality to it as he looked down at you, eyes dark with desire. His voice was low, taunting, as he leaned down, brushing his lips against yours softly before pulling away, his breath hot against your cheek.Â
âPatience, darling,â he murmured, his fingers trailing down your body again, barely skimming over the lace of your lingerie before he slid his hand between your legs. His fingers brushed against the soft fabric of your panties, teasing just enough to make your hips buck involuntarily.
You gasped, the sensation sending a jolt of pleasure through you, but you didnât get a chance to savor it. He moved faster, tugging at your panties just enough to expose you, fingers now teasing your sensitive skin, circling slowly, deliberately.Â
âYouâre so wet,â he said softly, almost in awe, as he dragged his fingers lower. The way he spoke sent another rush of heat through you. âI wonder if youâve been like this all night, havenât you? Wet and needy, waiting for me to touch you.â
His fingers slid inside you without warning, and you gasped, your back arching against the bed as you dug your fingers into the sheets. Lorenzoâs thumb found your clit, circling it in a rhythm that sent your mind spinning. His pace was slow at first, just enough to drive you wild, but he wasnât gentle. Not tonight.
âYouâre fucking dripping,â he muttered, the words laced with both admiration and amusement. âAw, poor baby. Do you want me to make you cum?â
You could only moan in response, your body reacting to his every touch, every movement. His fingers curved inside you, pressing against that spot that made your vision blur and your chest tighten. He leaned down, kissing the side of your neck as you squirmed beneath him, desperate for more.
âI bet youâve been thinking about this all night, havenât you?â he whispered, his voice a low, rough purr against your skin. âWondering when Iâd finally take whatâs mine.â
You nodded, barely able to focus, your breath coming in shallow gasps. His fingers increased their pace, the pressure in your core building higher, tighter, until you were on the edge of losing yourself.
But just as you felt yourself teetering, Lorenzo pulled his fingers away, leaving you breathless and aching. He lifted his head, eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he watched your body writhe beneath him, desperately trying to find some relief.
âYouâre not getting off that easy,â he said, his voice laced with amusement. âNot tonight.â
Before you could protest, he pulled you up, your legs wrapping around him as he kissed you again, deep and forceful. You didnât get a chance to catch your breath before his hands were on your waist, lifting you effortlessly. You gasped as he positioned himself at your entrance, his eyes locked on yours, the heat between you both palpable.
âNow,â he growled, âIâm going to make you feel it.â
With one swift movement, he thrust into you, and the world around you seemed to fade into nothing. The pleasure hit you instantly, a deep, overwhelming pressure that had you gasping for air. He didnât hold back. His pace was brutal from the start, each thrust driving deeper, filling you completely. The way he moved, so forceful, so confidentâit made everything inside you tighten.
You couldnât stop yourself from moaning, your hands scrambling to grab at his back, pulling him closer. âEnzo⊠PleaseâŠâ
âPlease what?â he taunted, his voice dripping with arrogance. âTell me what you want, sweetheart. I want to hear you beg for it.â
You swallowed hard, the words feeling like they were caught in your throat, but he was relentless. His thrusts were deep and unforgiving, each one hitting a new level of pleasure you hadnât expected. His hands were everywhereâgripping your hips, slapping at your ass, as if marking you, claiming you. His lips were on your neck, biting, sucking, leaving bruises that only added to the fire burning inside you.
âEnzoâŠâ you gasped again, unable to control the way your body moved against his. âPlease, harderâŠâ
He grinned against your skin, a breathless laugh escaping his lips. âThatâs what I wanted to hear.â
With a growl, he shifted his angle, pushing into you even deeper, his body slamming against yours with each thrust. You moaned louder, the sound filling the room as you felt the tension in your body intensify, the pressure building in ways you couldnât control. His hand moved up to your chest, gripping at your breast through the lace, squeezing and pinching as he gave your nipple a sharp twist.
You gasped, the sensation sending shockwaves through your body, making everything inside you tighten even more. He laughed darkly, his breath heavy in your ear as he slapped at your tits, the sting of the contact making you wince, but the pleasure only grew.Â
âYou like that, donât you?â he purred, slapping your tits again, harder this time. âLike it when I treat you like a little slut.â
The sting of the slap made you gasp, your body trembling beneath him, but it was all part of the overwhelming pleasure. Your breath came in ragged bursts as he alternated between slapping and groping your tits, squeezing them harshly through the lace, pulling at your nipple again with a cruel twist.
âEnzo, pleaseâŠâ you whimpered, unable to stop yourself from writhing beneath him, your body aching with need. âI canât⊠Iâm so closeâŠâ
âClose?â he repeated, a wicked grin forming on his lips as he slapped your tits again, the sound of his hand meeting your skin ringing in the air. âYou want to come, sweetheart? You need to beg me for it.â
His thrusts grew more forceful, more erratic, as he continued to abuse your tits, slapping them with no mercy. The sting mixed with the pleasure, and you could feel yourself tightening again, your body responding to his every movement. You couldnât hold back any longer.
âPlease, Enzo⊠I need you to let me come,â you gasped, your voice desperate.Â
With one final, deep thrust, he gave you what you wanted, and you exploded in waves of pleasure, your body seizing beneath him as you cried out his name. Lorenzoâs thrusts didnât stop; he followed you, his own release coming in a sharp, breathless groan. He buried himself deep inside you, his fingers still squeezing your tits, almost as if to ground himself.
You both stayed there for a moment, still tangled together, breathless and satiated. Lorenzo leaned down, kissing your neck softly, his voice low and teasing.
âI love you,â he whispered, his hands softening their grip on your chest. âBut donât think for a second Iâll let you off that easy again.â
You smiled, the aftershocks of your orgasm still trembling through you. âMaybe next time Iâll make you wait longer.â
Lorenzo chuckled darkly, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face. âIâll make sure you regret that.â

the way i loved only you (pt. i)
Eloise Bridgerton x fem!reader
summary: you never thought you'd find someone again, let alone find that someone in a girl from a past you'd left behind || warnings: mentions of childbirth, death, abandonment || word count: 1379 || masterlist
REQUESTED BY @baylegend6
Your mother's screams cut through the air and through your bones. They wouldn't let you into the room, pushing everyone away despite the fact that you were nearly seven and ten. Lady Danbury rushed past you, a worried expression on her face.
"Lady Danbury, is Mama alright?"
She was solemn. "I don't know my child. She is strong and a fighter, I'm sure she will give birth to a brother for you."
Your mother did birth a son, but not for you. Your father couldn't have been happier and her screams faded into the excitement. You weaved through the corners of the room, unnoticed in favour of the new male heir. You creeped into your mother's room, trying to see if she was alright. Instead you saw maids carrying bloodied cloths and hiding tears. Mama was dead, killed by the child she loved unconditionally.
Choosing your future above your father's reputation and not wanting to meet your mother's fate, you packed the necessary clothes and pin money and took off into the night.
Three years later, a lot had changed. At seventeen, you'd met a boy who you'd thought loved you more than life itself. As young lovers do, the consequences of your actions didn't occur to you until they were hitting you in the face. You gave birth to a beautiful young girl alone named Abigail and afraid after your lover abandoned you in the middle of the night. You had held that babe with such tenderness, whispering sweet nothings and promising that you would never let her have the life that you did. You promised you would be there, that you would protect her and hold her close as long as you were able.
Now your baby had grown into the most mischievous toddler you'd ever met. She would try and trick you and her favourite person in the world whenever she could, Theo. Theo had been there since Abigail was born, helping you care for her when you were working. The two of you had met when you got a job working as a shop assistant at the same printing shop. There was no doubt that Abigail adored Theo, she would run to him whenever she could. And on one occasion, Theo wasn't alone.
"T'eo!" Your daughter cried, running towards the boy. As she toddled closer, Theo bent down to take her in his arms and her tenderly. He had always been the best with Abigail. You chase after her, taking Abigail from his arms and turning to the girl he was talking with. She seemed only slightly younger than you but was dressed like aristocracy. There was no dirt on the hem of her dress, no scuffs on her shoes.
"I'm terribly sorry about her." You say to the girl, lowering your gaze slightly to look her over. She was pretty, blessed with brown locks and the kindest eyes as she looked at your daughter.
"No problem." She replied.
"What brings you so far from Mayfair?"
"Mayfair?" The girl says slowly. "Am I that obvious?"
You smile at her. "I happen to be an expert in noticing those who don't fit it. However, you are particularly obvious Miss...?"
"Bridgerton. Eloise Bridgerton." A Bridgerton, in these streets of London. Perhaps pigs were about to fly.
"Well Miss Eloise, it is an honour to welcome you into our corner of the world. I'm Y/n, this is Abigail, my daughter."
"Your daughter?" Eloise seemed surprised. "You two are married?"
Theo, who had been watching this conversation burst out with laughter. "No!" He cried, then steadied his emotions. "I'm not Abigail's father, nor am I married to Y/N."
"We're friends. He's helped me greatly. As for Abigail's father, he uh- he isn't around."
Eloise stared. "You are not married?"
"No..."
"But you have a daughter?"
You roll your eyes slightly, tired of this conversation. "Yes, yes. I'm a sinner, having a child out of wedlock. My soul is damned, my virtue is ruined. Please, spare me the lecture."
"No!" Eloise tried to defend herself. "I just mean to say that I didn't know that unmarried women had children."
"Ah." You understand what she means, and she means no insult. "You'll find there are plenty things Mayfair doesn't teach you."
"You speak as though you know."
"Because I do." Abigail fidgets in your arms and you say your goodbyes to Theo and Eloise as you try and calm her before she starts screaming. "Sorry, I really must put her down for her nap otherwise I won't be able to work. I hope I see you again Miss Eloise."
As it happened, you did see her again. She would visit and ask for Theo in the beginning but then she would ask for you and Abigail. Eloise could easily spend an afternoon sitting at your desk and entertaining Abigail whilst you poured over the printer's accounts. More often than not, Eloise would bring ribbons and small toys far too expensive for you to afford, all so that Abigail could be happy.
You found yourself growing closer to the girl, craving her visits and unable to hide your smile when she did. Eloise shared your smiles and the secrets the two of you held for each other only grew. Until one day, Eloise simply vanished. She didn't come and visit, she left no note, no hint of where she had gone or why she didn't visit.
Theo managed to find a copy of Whistledown that slandered Eloise for daring to enter the poorer areas of London and talking with commoners. But Eloise had completely cut off you and Theo and Abigail with no warning and no apology. Perhaps you should be the one apologising to her; she was a young girl, perhaps you had pulled into a part of your world she wasn't meant to see.
You had made a decision to walk away from the upper class and aristocracy. You couldn't try and relive some of your childhood by burdening Eloise Bridgerton. For the sae of your future, and your daughters future, you had to forget that Eloise Bridgerton ever existed and ever entered your life. She would never be yours to have and hold and love. It was better to move on now, so that you didn't convince yourself that something might happen.
But something did happen. A letter arrived, hand delivered by a man not dissimilar to Eloise. He was dressed in a spotless suit, awkwardly looking around with a letter clutched in his hand.
"Can I help you sir?"
He suddenly turns to you and seems glad to see a person who doesn't want to steal from him. "Yes, I'm looking for Y/N Y/L/N?"
"You've found her."
The man straightened his jacket and offered you the letter. "My name is Benedict Bridgerton, I believe you knew my sister? She wished for you to have this."
"Eloise-" You were stunned for a second. "Eloise wrote me a letter?"
"She also wanted me to apologise for it taking so long."
You practically snatched the letter from his hands, tearing it open and reading the words she wrote for you.
Dearest Y/N,
Words can't express how sorry I am because I am eternally sorry. But I cannot come to the shop to see you and Abigail. I don't think I'll ever be able to see you again and that is my greatest disappointment. My eldest brother intends for me to spend my summer fixing my reputation and then likely intends to find me a husband next season or perhaps the season after that.
The truth is, I want to see you and knowing that I can't only makes me want it more. I hope you write to me throughout the year because I will answer. If you chose not to write, I will not harass you any longer and I'll leave and Abigail alone. I hope Abigail knows how much I care. I'm sorry for abandoning you and her. I imagine that you're upset and angry and I don't blame you one bit.
I don't want you to blame yourself for this, it isn't your fault and it never will be. I just hope you can forgive me for all this. If you'll have me, I'll be yours, forever.
Eloise Bridgerton

you had wiped away the tears as soon as you had walked out of the hospital, straightening your back and thinking about which direction would be smarter to walk in.
you would come home no matter what, this small town was basically a circle, it was just the question of which way would be faster. you weren't keen on walking longer than necessary.
"forgot the way home?" a voice beside you made your head turn.
"what do you want?" you asked annoyed as you saw theo walk closer to you "i'm leaving, okay? you don't have to try to get rid of me anymore"
"pixie, i didn't mean it like that" he sighed and tried to touch your arm, but you turned your body away from him.
"i know exactly how you meant that" you protested "and i don't know what you still want now. you won, okay? you won ages ago, but you're the one who always picks a fight"
"pixie" theo muttered and you could hear the regret in his voice.
"don't call me that"
"y/n" he said and you looked up in surprise. you couldn't remember when your name had last left his mouth. "i'm sorry"
you raised your eyebrows. "you're sorry?" you repeated, almost laughing. "i don't think i ever heard you say that before"
you wanted to go home, so you just decided on a random direction and started walking, to your luck, theo was following you.
"okay, get to the point, nott" you demanded "what do you want from me?"
theo sighed once again, understanding that there was no way he could trick you into agreeing, he just had to ask. "i need your help, i mean, we need your help"
"you need my help?" you repeated skeptically. "is that one of your awful pranks again?"
"no" theo shook his head. "i promise it's not"
"okay, then lets hear what you need"
"enzo can't play the concert"
"i know as much"
"yeah, sorry" theo brushed a hand through his hair, unsure how he should ask you.
"there is that word again" you pointed a finger to his face. he gently pushed your hand away. "i could get used to this"
"yeah, don't flatter yourself" theo mumbled aggravated.
"there he is" you laughed sarcastically.
"we need a guitarist" theo came straight to the point "april says you play.." he paused, unsure how to finish his sentence "good"
"you want me to play guitar for you?"
"not for me" theo tried to rephrase it "for the band, the boys"
"why should i do that?"
"i know you hate me, pixie. but you don't hate them, do you?" he almost sounded like he was pleading.
"thanks to you i'm not really friends with them anymore, theo" you remarked bitterly "they were my friends just as much as yours and they still sided with you"
"it's my fault, okay?" theo said helplessly "is it that what you want to hear? that i was childish enough to poison your relationships?"
"that's just it, theo" you shook your head "i don't want to hear anything from you anymore, but you keep on talking, keep on writing songs. why can't you let go of things?"
"you know i need to write to cope"
"yeah, i know" you nodded your head "but anytime i hear one of your stupid songs it physically hurts. you might be able to cope through your writing, but i will never be able to do that"
"it's one song, pixie" theo rolled his eyes.
"so you admit that you wrote pixie dream girl about me?"
"that's not the point" theo argued.
"oh, yes it is" you laughed, while you quickened your steps, so theo had it harder to keep up with you, even if he was taller.
"okay, fine" theo sighed "pixie dream girl is about you"
"i know" you smiled "what about daddy issues?"
theo send you a painful look, almost as if you were torturing him with your question.
"do you want me to play guitar or not?"
"daddy issues is about you too" he finally muttered.
"thank you. now, was that so hard?"
theo send you a look. âwill you help us?â
"i'll think about it" you patted theo's shoulder, before you continued walking away. he thankfully caught the hint and stayed where he was.
"not too long" he called behind you and you just raised your hand, showing him your middle finger.

ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°âąâŠ
theo ran into april when he walked back to enzo's room.
"you're leaving already?" he asked surprised.
"yeah" april shrugged "i want to look after y/n and enzo's coming out this evening, i'll come back to his then"
"okay"
"what did she say?"
"she'll think about it"
"she didn't say no?" april wondered and theo shook his head "huh, i thought she would, after everything.." she shook her head, as if to get rid of that thought "you should feel lucky, theo"
"i do" he quickly nodded. "see you, april"
"bye, theo"
âŠâąă°ă°ă°ă°ă°â
đžââïœĄđŠč°â§â
ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°âąâŠ
you were staring at the ceiling as the sudden sound of the door made you look up.
"hey" april smiled, as she closed your door behind her "your mum let me in"
"did she get up for once" you nodded with fake impress.
"y/n" april sighed and you could hear the pity in her voice.
"don't" you shook your head and effectively shut her up "how's enzo? how much longer does he have to stay in the hospital?"
"he's coming home tonight" she let herself fall on the chair in the corner of your room. "maybe you want to come and visit him with me later?"
"after everything that happened today? i'll pass, but thank you"
"enzo promised that it'll be just him and mattheo"
you sighed "i'll think about it"
"i really see no reason why you and the rest of the boys just can't stay friends, y/n"
"theo is the reason we can't" you noted "i think it's better for all of us if we keep a distance between us"
"that's gonna be hard if you play for his band"
you sighed deeply "you're in on this too?"
"actually it was enzo's and my idea" she admitted as she looked anywhere but you "you're the only one who is as good as him and you're able to play most of the notes"
"yeah" you sank back down "but i don't know if i really want to. i mean theo is still theo, he can try to be nice all he wants, but he will never get out of his skin"
"the rest of the boys will make sure that he behaves himself" april promised "mattheo told me himself"
"mattheo told me the same today and you know how it ended"
"sometimes you two are a real mystery to me" she muttered "you know each other so well, well enough to know which buttons to push. he can make you cry with only a few words, it's scary"
"you said it" you pointed your hand in her direction "he never knows when it's enough"
"and you do?" she laughed "you're just as bad as him. you should've seen the look in his eyes as soon as you left the room. it's like you both can't be with or without the other"
"i don't know what you're talking about" you shook your head.
"you always say that you just want him to stop speaking to you, but i can see how much you enjoy these discussions, even if you're just fighting. you missed him and this is the only way you can spend time with him"
"that's not true, april"
"yes it is, sweetheart" april said softly "why don't you just tell him that you miss being his friend? everything could just go back to normal, if just one of you makes the first step"
"it's not as easy" you argued "too much happened, things you don't know, things i can't speak about. it's too late to rekindle anything"
"y/n, if it's about le-"
"please just let it go"
"okay" she nodded, accepting your wish "but what are you going to do? will you help them?"
"yes" you nodded "i mean the rest of the boys didn't do anything, right? and i don't want to poision your and enzo's relationship before it even began"
april smiled while her cheeks turned bright red "i hate you" she laughed and you just shrugged, before you stood up from the bed and took the blog, writing a message for theo.
i'll do it. but only under certain conditions. mattheo will receive the list later
"happy?" you asked april, who was grinning from ear to ear.
"yes" she giggled "now let's sort out your conditions"
it didn't take you long to come up with the things that had to change for you to start helping them. april had, surprisingly, a few ideas herself, (april is allowed to watch the rehearsals), making your list three points long.
you accompanied her later to visit enzo, which was, admittedly, a bit unnecessary considering she had already visited him in the hospital, but it seemed like both her and enzo deemed it important for his survival.
luckily, april had been right. it had only been enzo and mattheo. they both were smiling widely as you told them that you would help. enzo promised you to be there for every rehearsal (let alone because april would be) to help you learn the songs the way he played them.
mattheo seemed to enjoy the way you were nicer to him when theo wasn't around. you had always liked him, he was easy to get along with, but the last year you had learned not to enjoy his teasing and joking personality. you apologized for the day before, realizing that you had been quite harsh and that he really thought you would find the song funny.
maybe you wouldâve had, but a lot had changed and mattheo understood that you couldn't find humour in it right now.
they promised to show your list to the rest of the band and tell you in school how and when rehearsals would start.
april and you left after two hours and you could tell she was beaming. in her opinion, playing in the band meant that all of you would be friends again and the hope alone was enough for her.
âŠâąă°ă°ă°ă°ă°â
đžââïœĄđŠč°â§â
ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°âąâŠ
"here it is" mattheo held the folded piece of paper in theo's direction.
"be honest, mate" theo said "is it manageable?"
"it is" enzo said. he was sitting on the stone wall in the middle of draco and blaise. mattheo was standing next to theo in front of them.
"okay" theo sighed, before he unfolded the paper. "y/n's conditions under which she will safe theo's petty little-" he held the paper in mattheo's direction "i'm not reading this"
mattheo giggled, before he cleared his throat as soon as theo send him a look. "y/n's conditions under which she will safe theo's petty little-"
"you can skip the beginning" theo interrupted "just get to the point"
"fine" mattheo rolled his eyes "rule one: april is allowed to watch the rehearsals"
"yeah, fine, whatever" theo nodded, while enzo was practically jumping up and down. "anyone has a problem with that?" the three other shook their heads and mattheo continued reading.
"rule two: theo is civilâ
âcan you do that?â enzo wanted to know and theo nodded reluctantly.
âokay and the final rule: we canât play pixie dream girlâ
âsounds alrightâ blaise shrugged.
âwhat do you say theo?â draco asked as he noticed the priors facial expression.
âwe canât do the third oneâ theo explained between clenched teeth.
âwhat?â enzo asked âwhy not?â
âwhen i talked to mr fraser on the phone i showed it to him and he made me promise that itâs one of the tracks we playâ
âokayâ mattheo shrugged âthen you just call him and tell him that we canât play itâ
âhe said itâs important that we play it because itâll impress his boss. we got many streams on the song and itâll make us stand out against the other bandsâ
âfuckâ draco jumped from the stone wall. âcanât you find a way to play?â
âyeahâ enzo shrugged "i'll just play with my feet, no problem, dracoâ
âletâs all calm downâ blaise said, trying to diffuse the situation.
"it's seems important to her that we don't play the song" enzo remarked.
"yeah" mattheo muttered.
"okay, what if we just not tell her? i mean six weeks is a long time, maybe she'll say yes when we ask her later?" blaise suggested.
"that might not be the worst idea" mattheo nodded "maybe if we'll be able to be friends again, she might play the song"
"it's worth a try, right?" draco asked in theo's direction.
"i don't know" enzo shook his head "she will absolutely hate us when she finds out we lied to her. she'll feel betrayed"
"it's just a song" draco crossed his arms "what's her problem?"
"i am" theo shrugged "and the song reminds her of that. fuck" he groaned.
"what do we do, boss?" mattheo asked "do we lie to her? she might understand it once we tell her it was our only chance"
"i tell her we accept her rules" theo nodded as he gripped the paper from mattheo "not one word from any of you, you hear me? this is our only chance to get that stupid record deal and if it means to work with the enemy we will do that"
"the enemy" mattheo rolled his eyes "you're getting dramatic again, theodore"
"you know what i mean"
before anyone could agree to his terms, april and you walked up behind the boys.
"hey" april greeted and immediately stepped into the emptys space next to enzo where draco had sat.
"hi" you said, a lot less happy "how does it look?"
"we accept your rules" theo nodded "rehearsals are every tuesday, thursday and saturday at five. we have to rehearse a lot if we want that record deal"
"great" you nodded "how much time will we have on stage?"
"fourty-five minutes" theo answered "i'd say we try to rehearse all ten songs before we decide on those that we want to play"
"not including pixie dream girl, right?"
"right" he nodded.
"great" you smiled "then we have a deal" you held your hand in his direction, so you could finalize everything with a handshake.
"yes" theo nodded "do you have a guitar or do you need enzo's?"
"i have one" you nodded, before you excused yourself, so you would be on time for your first class of the day.
the next time that you saw all of them was during the first official rehearsal on saturday. you had spent the entire friday searching for old notes forba few of the songs that you still owned somewhere. theo had given you the missing ones when you had stood in front of his door in the evening and you had tried to play as much as possible and it was admittedly not working bad.
"hey" you greeted the boys when april and you walked into the garage. april slumped down on the couch next to enzo as if someone had held a gun in her direction and you looked between draco and blaise. "where should i stand?"
blaise directed you to the empty space next to the microphone stand.
"where are matt and theo?" april asked and you perked up. you would have rather died than asked yourself, but you were still wondering.
"they're on their way" draco answered "mattheo made a few cds to hand out to people and they are getting them right now"
"cool" april nodded impressed.
"you're only now making cds?" you asked surprised "isn't that like one of the first things bands normally do?â
"generally, yeah" enzo nodded "but in a time like this, most people only listen on streaming platforms so we never really saw the need for it"
"now that we're getting more known, it's more professional" blaise added.
"okay" you nodded "i get it"
"bonjourno" mattheo waved as soon as him and theo entered the room a few minutes later.
"french?" enzo wondered.
"that's italian, sweetheart" you could hear april mutter next to him. you giggled into your hand as you noticed the lovesick look enzo was now sending in her direction.
"you're so smart, april"
"are you ready?" theo asked you, once he took his stance behind the microphone.
"sure" you shrugged, before you took the guitar and plugged it in.
"we'll start with blood//water. the notes should be relatively easy to play"
theo counted and pointed in your direction as soon as it was time for the guitar part to set in. just shortly after, theo began singing. you of course had heard him sing before. you had listened to the songs, but you had never heard him so clear, so raw.
we'll never get free lamb to the slaughter what you gon' do when there's blood in the water? the price of your greed is your son and your daughter what you gon' do when there's blood in the water?
you switched your fingers, picking up the pace of the melody as soon as the pre-chorus set in again. mattheo was changing between playing the bass and clapping his hands. draco was making quick movements on the keyboard, changing the setting to let it make different sound effects and blaise was hitting the drums so hard, your ears almost blew off.
but despite all that you could only focus on theo and the sound of his voice. the way it looked so effortless and hard at the same time. as the pre-chorus ended and the chorus set in, he was full on screaming into the microphone, the veins on his neck showing the strength his voice was using.
i am the people, i am the storm i am the riot, i am the swarm when the last tree's fallen the animal can't hide money won't solve it what's your alibi? what's your alibi? what's your alibi?
when there's blood in the water
when the song ended, april began to clap. "that was amazing!" she complimented "blood//water is my favorite song on the album"
"thank you" mattheo smiled "you were really great, y/n"
"thanks" you nodded "i think this one is one of the easier chord compressions"
"the next song would be daddy issues" theo looked in your direction expectingly.
"do we have to play that one?" you asked "i mean it's so slow and you won't probably play it anyway"
"she has a point" mattheo shrugged.
"i think we should play all the songs" theo argued "so that we can change the setlist until the last minute"
"good point" blaise nodded.
"come on, guys" enzo, who saw the discomfort on your face added "y/n is right, it's way too slow"
"boss?" mattheo looked to theo.
"we should at least play it this once" you sighed as you noticed that theo wasn't going to budge.
"okay" mattheo nodded "you ready? i think the chords are quite easy for this one too"
you were looking straight across the room, but nodded at his words.
theo counted again and you started playing the chords on the paper in front of you. maybe this wasn't as bad as you thought. you would just have to concentrate and blend out theo as much as possible.
take you like a drug i taste you on my tongue
theo's voice almost made you shiver. you moved your fingers along the guitar.
and you might have to tell me again it's crazy what you'll do for a friend
you had listened to the song about a million times after it had come out, but now it was like you were hearing it for the first time. and the softness in theo's voice was going to break your heart, you were sure.
you didn't know if the rest of the boys knew the song was about. you were guessing that only enzo was slowly getting the idea, as he was the only one who had noticed how uncomfortable you had gotten once theo mentioned it.
you doubted that the others new. theo wasn't one to run around and tell everyone what the meaning behind his songs were. you were sure they knew only half the things theo knew and you were glad for that.
go ahead and cry, little girl nobody does it like you do i know how much it matters to you i know that you got daddy issues
you thought back to days in the backyard of your house. how theo came climbing up into the treehouse and would just sit next to you for hours.
when you felt brave you would cry in his lap, but sometimes you weren't able to and theo understood you in a way that no one else did.
he had brushed your hair aside, whispering about the future, wonderland, something that did not sound like it could be real, at least not to you.
he told stories about a world in which your dad was better. a world in which he loved you as much as you loved him, as much as he loved-
go ahead and cry, little boy you know that your daddy did too you know what your mama went through you gotta let it out soon, just let it out
maybe there had been a time where he hadn't planned to use that song against you. a time where he wanted to show it to you so it could console you and your pain. now it just felt like ammunition in an ongoing war.
you were still staring at the wall across from you as a few tears slipped over your cheeks.
and if you were my little girl i'd do whatever I could do i'd run away and hide with you i know that you got daddy issues
you took off the guitar as soon as the song had ended, breathing a shaky breath. "could we take a break?" you asked theo, who, if you weren't mistaken, looked a bit guilty now that he saw the look on your face.
"sure" mattheo answered, while theo continued to stare at you. "are you alright?" he touched your shoulder and it took everything in you not to start full on crying at the gentleness in his voice.
"let's sit down" draco sighed.
"do you want to see the cd?" mattheo smiled and you nodded as you quickly wiped over your eyes.
he held it in your direction and you smiled as you recognized the cover that they had used on spotify. "it looks amazing"
"turn it around" mattheo advised and you did as you were told.
your breath hitched as you saw the photo on the back.
theo cleared his throat at the lack of reaction from you "that's"
"leo" you finished "i know" your fingers gently moved over the boys back. you recognized the white shirt, the black trousers and the bracelet on his left arm. you were wearing a matching one.
"the photo is from last year" mattheo explained "from when theo and leo wrote most of the songs. i thought it would be the perfect one to show who we are"
"it is" you nodded "thank you" you looked up at mattheo and he gulped as he noticed the tears in your eyes. you held the cd in his direction before you stood up. "i need a breath of fresh air"
you walked out of the garage and sat down on the bench in front of the lake. you sat there for ten minutes before you decided it was time to return back inside.Â
mattheo had told his friends to settle down and end the rehearsal for today, much to theo's dismay, who basically tried to kill you with his eyes when you came back inside.Â
"i don't get why we have to stop" theo muttered "we only got through two songs. what got your knickers in a twist, huh?" he turned his head to look at you, but instead of rushing away, you returned his angry look.Â
"you" you said with a roll of your eyes "the rule was to be civil and you're acting like an idiot, theodore"Â
theo laughed at that and you were even more angry.Â
"fuck you, mr rockstar" you held up your middle finger.Â
"i'd love to see you try, miss stuck up"Â
you looked at april betrayed when you heard her giggle.Â
"even your friend agrees with me" your head snapped to the side.Â
you stepped closer to the boy, until you were only a few centimeters apart. the others watched you with big eyes. "do you want to repeat that, darling?"
you could see theo gulp at the proximity, before he quickly caught himself and smirked down at you. "are you trying to kiss me, baby?"Â
"no, but seems like you are thinking about kissing me, sweetheart"
mattheo sighed loudly and both you and theo turned your heads, only realizing now that you were the center of attention.Â
"that was kinda hot" blaise muttered under his breath and was immediately elbowed by draco, who did not take his eyes off of theo and you.Â
"shut up" theo said quickly and you had the sudden need to defend blaise, just because it would get a rise out of theo.Â
"seems like your friend agrees with me" you crossed your arms and smiled provocatively "you totally have the hots for me"Â
"i hate you"
"finally something we can agree on" you grinned, before you turned around and grabbed your bag. "bye"Â
the rest of the group said goodbye while they were still astounished at how you had basically won a fight against theo.Â
"oh shut up" theo said quickly, when you had left the room and blaise opened his mouth.Â

Skiing together with Teddy ??
omg, I LOVE this, skiing and snow day with teddy:
...
Many things came along with the opulence of Theodore Nott
That included a minimum stay of two and a half weeks at his favourite ski lodge every winter.
Not just your winter, Theodore would have you both fly to the opposite side of the world for a good ski, insisting on going from England to New Zealand just for the Southern Hemisphere snow, not going to waste.
There's something so captivating about Theo in his all-black ski attire, leather gloves, and cashmere scarf. So discipline in his sport.
You watch his grip tighten on his ski sticks, and he turns a corner, or his strong legs whip through the thick snow.
His muffled chuckles behind his mask as he laughs at your occasional slip, his gloved hands helping you up and planting you back on your feet with his hands lingering on your hips or waist, his voice teasing "Gracful, Darling"
He also insists on sharing a hot tub, his excuse being that itâs ânecessary for sore muscles.â
Snow angels, the print of his body on the white snow much larger than your own
Theo rolls his eyes when you force him to build a snowman, fighting back a smile when you jump up and down when its finished, to tease you he'd take a bite out of the carrot nose you jammed into the snowman
Theo is an experienced skier, so it's rare if he does fall, but he does everything in his power to not fall, just the idea of falling is humiliating to Theodore.
If you get worried the slope it too steep or high he's voice drips encouragement, "Come on ,champion you can handle this" pointing below, "I know you got this, I wouldn't let you go down if I thought you weren't able to." when you finally take of with Theo beside you he'd scream out "atta girl!" kissing you when you both make it to the bottom
He'd help you jump into your heavy ski outfit, fitting it to your skin
BONUS: someone guy bumping into you mid ski and those losing his shit
Gliding down the snow felt so natural to you, the wind that fought against your speed, so refreshing, your body aligned to the rhythm of the slope, until just as you leaned into another turn, a blur barreled into you, sending you sprawling across the snow.
Pain immediately hit your shoulder as you tumbled, skis tangling awkwardly beneath you. Before you could even catch your breath, the figureâa man about your age snapped, âWatch where youâre going, yeah?â
You stared at him, stunned and winded, your reply stuck in your throat, pulling your mask down the only thing to leave your mouth was the smoke of the cold air, from your now heavy breathing.
Theo was there in an instant. He skidded to a stop, snow spraying in the direction of the man who crashed into you, his jaw set in a way that made your stomach flip for an entirely different reason.
"You want to repeat that?" Theodore's voice cut through
âI saidââ the guy started, but Theo cut him off, stepping closer, his tall frame casting a long shadow across the snow.
âYou crashed into her.â Theoâs tone was sharp now, his anger contained but unmistakable, like the stillness before a storm. âAnd instead of apologising, you wanna run your mouth?â
"Look, man, she was in the wa-" he protests again
"you apologise before this snow turns red on your fucking account, got it?" this time Theo was interrupting him
After the chaos, Theo insisted no more skiing for the day, that he would carry you everywhere, and you could sit by the fire sipping hot chocolate, non-negotiable.

Promises Are Meant to be Broken
- Theodore Nott x fem!Reader, Lorenzo Berkshire x fem!reader
summary: As childhood best friends, Enzo and you made a pact to date and get married before leaving to Hogwarts together. But as you get older, that promise begins to fade in your memory, as opposed to Enzo because itâs all he can think about.
Disclaimer: ok so I know I promised to not write another fic about Theo, but, wellâŠ. read the title. Plus, this fic includes Enzo as a romantic-ish partner soâŠ. yeah! also it was my blogs official 2 years as of 4 days ago! Thank you to everyone who enjoys my stories and keeps this mess of a (v hyper fixated) blog alive đ
***
âWhen weâre older, if we both arenât dating someone by 16, weâll date each other.â 4 year old Enzo said to you, as you were both playing in the forest by your house.
âAnd if we arenât married by 21, weâll marry each other.â You had said, jumping into the river to cool yourself off from the boiling July weather.
âYou promise?â Enzo responded, tentatively dipping a toe in.
âI promise.â You said, before grabbing his hand and pulling him in.
â-
âHey Enzo, pass me that book please. The purple one.â You said, hoping to find the answers to your homework in there.
âYeah, here you go.â He said as he passed it to you, smiling as he did so.
âMerlin, do any of you know how to do this?â Theo asked from beside you, struggling on his transfiguration homework.
âJust copy mine, itâs in my bag.â Pansy said, not looking up from her potions essay.
âThanks P, youâre a life saver.â
You and your best friends were all sitting in the library doing your homework, trying to get ahead of it for the week since you all planned to throw a party this Friday.
You had been friends with most of them since childhood, Enzo and your friendship going the farthest back. Your friend group was extremely close, and you all always chose to spend as much time together as possible.
âI canât do this anymore, I give up.â Mattheo said, slamming his textbook shut.
âThen give up on getting drunk this weekend.â Blaise said, knowing exactly how to motivate Mattheo.
He made an exasperated groan before opening his book again and going back to his work.
âI say we enchant the bottles so they turn to water every time he tries to drink.â Theo whispered to you, smirking at the thought.
You giggled quietly at his joke, staring into his deep blue eyes.
You both kept eye contact for a little longer than necessary before Enzo loudly cleared his throat.
You turned to look at him, giving him a confused look. He pretended he didnât see it.
Enzo had had a crush on you for as long as he could remember, and been in love with you for a couple months now. He had hoped that you wouldâve kept your promise to each other about dating when you turned 16, but seeing as there were only 2 months left in your 6th year he doubted it would ever happen. He wished he had the courage to tell you, but he was so afraid he would ruin your friendship. Draco kept telling him he could play it off as a joke if he ever brought it up, but Enzo knew you. He knew youâd never believe him. Plus, he was sure Theo had a crush on you. And, could he really compete with Theodore Nott? With his 6â4 frame, dark curly hair, brooding stare, and perfect smile?
âAlright, Iâm done.â You said, taking him out of his trance.
He was about to speak up and offer to leave with you, but somebody beat him to it.
âIâll walk back with you. If I stare at this book for one more second my head will explode.â Theo said, packing up his things before grabbing your bag and his.
How Enzo wished his head would explode. He felt bad thinking these things about his best friend, but he couldnât help it. The girl of his dreams was on the line.
âSee you guys later.â You said, and Theo gave the group a nod before putting his hand on the small of your back and leading you both out of the library.
The simple touch erupted butterflies in your stomach. Every touch and look from Theo did. Your crush on Theo was growing stronger and stronger every month, every year, every day. How could it not? He was always doing the cutest things, and Pansy was always feeding your delusions.
âI think Iâm going to go take a nap, i feel like a zombie.â You told Theo once you had both entered the Slytherin common room.
âCome sleep in my dorm, I donât wanna be alone.â Theo said, making a silly pouty face to convince you.
âFine, but only if you let me borrow clothes.â
âYour wish is my command, principessa.â He said, making you blush. You loved when he used that nickname.
You both quickly made your way towards his dorm, laughing and giggling the entire way up at jokes Theo was making. He really was the funniest guy you knew.
âHere we are.â Theo said, as he opened the door for you.
âThanks, Teddy.â You said, walking into his shared dorm with Mattheo and Enzo. He blushed at the nickname, and hoped you wouldnât notice.
Youâd spent countless hours here, drunk after parties, doing homework, just hanging out. Their dorm was like your second home. You made your way to Theoâs bed where you plopped yourself down and took off your Mary Janeâs.
âOk, I want a hoodie. Please.â You said, adding the please after and throwing in a sweet smile.
âYes maâam.â He said, walking over to his closet and strategically picking out his Quidditch hoodie that had his name written on the back.
He handed it to you and you thanked him before you began unbuttoning your school shirt.
His gaze lingered on you before you gave him a jokingly seductive look which struck him out of his trance. You giggled as he turned away and watched him quickly fix his pants, and take a couple deep breathes before going to take off his own school shirt to change into some comfortable clothes.
You gaze lingered on his abs, chiseled to perfection due to Quidditch. He changed into a t-shirt and grey sweatpants, which didnât help your case.
âUghh, Iâm ready to sleep.â He said, embracing you in a hug and laying on top of you.
âMmph mpaoood.â You said, your voice muffled by his chest.
âWhat?â He said, laughing, putting his arms on either side of you and lifting his body so he was looking down on you.
âI said: me too!â You said, giggling, before putting your arms around his neck.
âLetâs go to sleep then.â He said, begrudgingly taking himself out of your embrace and getting up to turn the lights off and shut the curtains.
You put yourself under the covers and snuggled into Theoâs bed, his scent all over the sheets putting you in a dreamlike state.
âSleep tight.â Theo said, admiring the way you looked with his name sprawled over your back.
He held you tightly, and you snuggled into his chest before falling into a peaceful sleep.
___
âShut the fuck up!â Mattheo said loudly, entering his dorm room with Enzo following close behind, his laugh echoing on the walls.
âOh shit, the lovebirds are sleeping.â Mattheo said, covering his mouth and dropping his voice to a whisper.
âHuh?â Enzo asks, before stepping into the room and seeing the horrific sight.
You and Theo, both in Theoâs bed, wrapped in a tight embrace, your breaths following the same pattern.
âFuck off.â Enzo mumbled under his breath, before dropping his things and storming out of the room, leaving a confused Mattheo behind.
â-
âYouâre the best!â You say to Enzo, who brought you back a drink.
The music was booming so loudly you could feel it vibrating through your body. The dark green lights were swimming around the room, engulfing everybody. You had just made your way out of the crowded dance floor, which you had easily convinced Enzo to follow you into.
He sat down next to you, spreading his legs and putting his arm on the top of the couch behind you.
âThis dress looks really nice on you, y/n.â He said, staring intently at you as he sips out of his own cup.
âThanks, Enzo. Youâre outfit is nice too.â You said, looking at his slightly unbuttoned white shirt with black pants. Simple, but nice.
âYou bought me this shirt.â
âOh thatâs right! No wonder I like it.â You said, causing Enzo to chuckle.
âAnyway, I canât believe Michelle actually showed up.â You said, continuing the conversation. You loved gossiping with Enzo, you two always knew everything going around Hogwarts.
âI know, the nerve. I mean if it was just Draco I would get it, but itâs Pansyâs party too.â He said, referring to the girl who attempted to date Draco even though Pansy and him were âtogether.â
âTotally. I mean when she tried snogging him they technically werenât labeled, but everyone knew they were together.â You said, Enzoâs face so close to yours so that you could both here the conversation over the blasting music.
âYeah-â He begins, before heâs cut off my Mattheo.
âYo mate, whereâs the extra fire-whiskey.â He says, wobbling over, clear that he doesnât need any more alcohol.
âUnder the black chair.â Enzo says, nodding to the chair, barely taking his eyes off you.
âThatâs why youâre my favorite.â He says, causing you to scoff. He begins to walk off before you speak up, and he turns back to you.
âWhereâs Theo?â
âI donât know, I havenât seen him in a while.â Mattheo responded, and Enzoâs eyes are now on the ground, a mean look on his face.
âHe said he was gonna go smoke with you though?â
âThat prick, he never shares his weed. But no, I havenât seen him.â
âWhat? Where is he then?â
âProbably shagging some girl.â Enzo says with a nasty voice.
You turn to him bewildered.
âHe wouldnât do that.â Mattheo said, trying to save his best friend. He knew of Theoâs huge crush on you and he wasnât going to let him get a bad image with you. Enzo, on the other hand, hadnât told anyone about his feelings for you.
You give Mattheo a small smile before looking down at your cup.
âHeâs probably outside or something, you know how he is. Heâs not with some girl, trust me.â Mattheo says, reassuring you.
âYouâre right. Iâm gonna go look for him.â
Mattheo smirks, hoping tonight will finally be the night Theo mans up and asks you out.
âWait-â Enzo starts, but youâre already off.
â-
You make your way up the astronomy towerâs stairs, the last place you can think of to find Theo. The summer weather engulfs you like a warm blanket, and a gentle breeze keeps you from breaking any sort of sweat. The moon and stars are shining so brightly itâs as if youâve just casted a Lumos charm. As you finally take the last steps and climb onto the platform, you see Theoâs tall frame, facing away from you, leaning on the railing.
âTeddy?â You call out softly, causing him to turn around.
The smoke from his blunt creates a cloudy haze around him, and his eyes are bloodshot, although you canât tell if itâs due to the drug or if heâs been crying. He smiles softly when he sees you.
âHey, you.â He opens his arms for you, and you quickly make your way to him. He immediately engulfs you into a tight embrace and puts his face into your hair.
âYou ok?â You ask, voice slightly muffled by his chest.
âYeah, yeah. Just been thinking too much.â He says, as he unwraps himself from around your body.
âProbably all the fire-whiskey I drank.â He says, chuckling. You giggle softly and place yourself next to him on the railing, looking out to the night sky.
âWhat have you been thinking about?â You ask. Youâve always reassured Theo that he could come to you whenever he needs it, and as much as he appreciates it he just canât find it in him to express his emotions to others. It makes you feel slightly guilty because heâs always the first one there when youâre feeling down. It used to be Enzo, but itâs been Theoâs arms youâve been crying into recently.
âJust life. And my place in it.â He says, taking a drag from his blunt.
âWhatâs your place in it?â You ask, trying to nonchalantly get him to open up.
âJust my place in others lives. I feel like I donât have one.â
âWhat do you mean?â You ask, your eyes flicking around his face, trying to search for answers.
âI just feel like I donât add anything to anyoneâs life. Like Iâm just a background character. Someone with no importance. Like⊠like as if nobody needs me.â He says, a soft and sad smile on his face, trying to not worry you with his feelings.
Your quiet for a second, your brain racking around how a boy who brings so much happiness to everyoneâs lives could possibly feel this way. A boy who so easily made you fall in love with who he is, without even trying. The wind picks up, and begins blowing with a calming hum.
âI do. I need you.â You finally say, the alcohol in your system making you completely honest.
Theoâs face lifts up to look directly at you, his eyes searching for meaning in yours. Had you really just said what he thought you did? Was this you being friendly, or possibly, hopefully, something more? He reached his hand up to put a piece of hair blown into your face by the wind behind your ear.
âI need you. I need you more than anything actually.â He says, voice soft and sweet.
âI think of you every second Iâm awake, and dream of you every second Iâm asleep. Iâve never felt this way about anyone, y/n.â He says, sweetly but firmly, wanting to leave no doubt about his feelings in your mind.
âYou have no idea how much Iâve daydreamed about you saying that.â You said, putting your hand over his, leaving it on your cheek.
âI think I have an idea, considering itâs all Iâve done for as long as I can remember.â He says, his body now towering over you.
âI feel like Iâm dreaming right now.â You say, looking intently into his eyes.
Suddenly, he leans down and his lips are quickly on yours. It takes you a second to kiss back, since you were taken aback by the suddenness of it, but you quickly recuperate and kiss him back eagerly.
The kiss is hungry and earnest, but loving and kind. He tastes sweet and his arms around you are suddenly making you weak in the knees. Your hands make your way to his hair, getting lost in the brown curls.
Your tongues dance together, exploring each otherâs mouths. After a little while you both pull away from each other in an attempt to catch your breathes.
âDo you still feel like your dreaming?â He asks, smiling.
âMuch more than before, now.â You say giggling, his arms around your waist and yours around his neck.
âYou have no idea how many times Iâve had to hold myself back from kissing you.â He says, causing you both to laugh more.
âI wish you hadnât. This couldâve happened so much sooner.â
âYeah, after that kiss I wish I hadnât either. It was better than I ever even imagined.â
You giggle and turn away as your cheeks turn pink. His fingers softly grab your chin, turning you back to face him.
âNow that thatâs happened, I donât want to lose you.â He says, seriously.
âOh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it.â You say, smirking playfully. He smiles at you and chuckles as he lightly shakes his head.
âY/n, can I be your boyfriend?â He asks, making deep eye contact.
âIâd be an idiot if I said no.â You say, before reaching up to connect your lips once again.
â-
It had been almost a week of you officially dating Theo and you couldnât be happier. None of your friends were surprised when you started dating, seeing as it had been painfully obvious to everyone but you two that you both liked each other. Since you were both in the same friend group, it wasnât difficult to balance your friend-life with your relationship-life, making it all 100x easier. The only thing that seemed slightly out of place, was your relationship with Enzo. You hadnât seen much of him the past few days, and would even say he seemedâŠ. angry with you? You couldnât really tell, but your happiness due to finally dating Theo outweighed all your worries tenfold.
â
Itâs officially been a week from Friday, and your making your way to the library to return some books you had finally finished using. As you walked into the quiet and calming atmosphere, you noticed Enzo sitting alone at a table, his notes spread out in front of him. You smiled lightly, wanting to speak to your best friend who youâve missed so much. Youâd barely spoken to him all week, and all your conversations seemed to be cut extremely short by one of his âactivities.â
âHey Enzo.â You say sweetly, sitting down in a chair next to him.
He looks up at you with a strange expression on his face before looking back down at his essay.
âSo⊠howâs your week been?â You ask, attempting to fill the awkward silence and converse with him.
âFine.â He says, not even glancing in your direction.
You take a deep breath.
âIs everything alright with you? Have I done something?â You ask, confused on why he was acting this way.
âNo.â
âEnzo, please. I know you. What are you upset about?â
âNothing.â
âEnzo!â You say, exasperated, wishing he would tell you what was wrong so you could help fix it.
âMerlin y/n, are you really this dim-witted?â He says rudely, looking up at you for the first time.
âWhatâŠ?â You ask, taken aback by his cruelty.
âWhatever, Iâm done.â He says, as he begins to quickly pack up his things, shoving papers and books into his bag hastily.
âEnzo, please. Just talk to me.â You say, desperate not to lose your best friend over something you donât even understand. You quickly get up, picking up your pace to keep up with his.
âJust leave me alone y/n.â He says, picking up his own pace. Heads turn to you two, and you can hear the whispers.
âEnzo just talk to me!â You say, reaching for his arm as your exiting the library.
He shakes your hand off. âI donât want to talk to you! What do you not understand?â He says, stopping brusquely and turning to face you.
Your taken aback by his sudden stop and almost lose your balance.
âWhy not? What have I done?!â
âYou know exactly what youâve done!â He says, beginning to walk away again.
You react quickly enough to grab his arm and pull him into an empty classroom before shutting the door.
âIâm not letting you leave until you tell me what it is that Iâve done to upset you.â
âNice try.â He says, before attempting to push past you.
âEnzo donât do this to me, please. I miss you.â You beg.
âOh you miss me? Really? Well it doesnât seem like that ever since him.â He says, anger extremely evident in his voice.
âHim? You mean Theo?â You ask, confused.
âYes of course I mean Theo.â He says sassily.
âWhat does Theo have to do with this? Iâve been trying to make time for you but youâre the one whoâs always busy!â You say, anger rising in your own voice at his selfishness.
âYou donât understand, do you?â He says, searching in your face for answers.
âWhat do I not understand?â You ask, already extremely upset with him.
âThat Iâm fucking in love with you y/n!â He says, his hands flying up to his hair.
âWhat..?â
âMerlin Iâve been in love with you for years. And I thought you felt the same way until you went off with that git!â
âThat git? You mean your best friend? And.. why would you even think that? And why didnât you say anything earlier?â You ask, spewing out questions rapidly.
He was quiet for a minute, at a loss for words.
âYouâre telling me youâve never felt anything towards me? Ever? We promised each other we would end up together!â
âEnzo we were 4!â You say, bewildered by his claims.
âOk? It was still a promise!â
âYeah, one we made when we were 4! Do you not understand how stupid you sound?!â
âThat promise meant something to me! Iâve waited every second of every day until we turned 16 until we could finally be together! I thought you had forgotten since we never worked out, but now I know you just never cared enough.â He said, voice filled with sadness.,
âItâs not that I didnât care Enzo! I care so much for you, but I⊠I just donât love you. Iâm in love with Theo.â
âGod, please donât say his name.â He says, his eyes filled with hurt.
âIâll say his name all I want.â You spit out, bitterly.
His face falls even more so than before, his eyes brimming with tears.
âYou promised me youâd be with me, and then you go out with my best friend! What the fuck is wrong with you?â He says, a crazy look in his eyes as he rubs his face.
âYeah, well, promises are meant to be broken.â You say, tears silently falling from your eyes. You couldnât believe the way Enzo was acting, youâd never seen him like this. In all his selfish glory. You should have actually listened to the rumors that came from his ex-girlfriends.
You turn around to reach for the door handle, wanting nothing more than to be as far away from him as possible.
âY/n, wait!â He says, reaching for your hand to stop you from walking into the hallway.
âYouâre my best friend, I donât want this to end. Please.â He begs, tears still brimming in his eyes, his face and neck splotched with red.
âLet go of me.â You say, before shaking his hand off, and walking away. Leaving him standing in the doorway to wallow in his misery.

a/n: hiii friend!! yes u can >__< i hope u enjoy!! requests r open btw for anyone wondering :p still working on tumblr girls atm ..
*à©â© keeho
keeho prides himself on the fact that he can make anyone in his vicinity laugh with little to no effort, but with you, he tries just a bit harder than he would with anyone else. his feelings for you develop quite quickly, and he finds himself paying attention to small details about you that many, including yourself, would miss. known for being one of the moodmakers of his squad, everyone notices that he gets abnormally quiet at group hangouts where you are present, something out of character for him. alas, he doesnât notice his friendsâ concerned glances at his unusual demeanor, as he would much rather focus on the way your eyes crinkle when you laugh, the gentle bouncing of your right leg under the diner table, and how you struggle to maintain eye contact with him for more than a few seconds. his attentiveness is what allows him to get closer to you, and his intense observations of every detail about you ends up in him bringing you your favorite snacks without being asked to, or renting an older movie that you mentioned you had been wanting to see, just so the two of you can watch it together. his feelings for you grow tenfold as time passes, but heâs careful not to bombard you with an overwhelming confession of love, so he keeps a good pace and continues to gift you items that remind him of you. once the two of you start hanging out one and one regularly, his flirtatious side is less restrained, and he weasels his way into your heart with the way that he sweetly praises you with that honey voice of his. loves to sneakily touch you and compliment everything about you. his devotion to you, even in the crush stage, is immense and making you feel like the prettiest, most important girl in the world is how he lets that be known to you.
*à©â© theo
is the last one to figure out that he has feelings for you. always would internally pass off his desire to keep you close as just fondness for a friend, but when the boys inquire why he goes through such lengths to make you smile, or basks in your compliments a little more than necessary, he starts to understand that he might not like you as just a âfriendâ. takes a bit of time to analyze how you two interact the next few times he sees you, and he quickly begins to note that yes, he loves to make you smile more than anyone else and yes, only your compliments, whether towards his hair color or singing voice at a group karaoke session, make him feel fuzzy inside. taeyang is not one to fear rejection, so his way of making you aware of his feelings is cool and collected. simply calls you and gives you instructions to âget dolled up by the evening and wear red.â because heâll be picking you up and taking you out. when he drives up to your residence, he knocks on your door with flowers in hand, beaming at your beauty. theo is very traditional and a big gentlemen, evident when he opens your passenger door for you, or when he takes your hand to lead you up the flight of a fancy restaurantâs stairs. overall, i believe that he wouldnât bask in his crush on you for too long. pining is not his ideal method of securing you as his, and he pursues you right when he realizes he sees you in a romantic light. his confidence is a strong quality of his, and thatâs no different when it comes to you.
*à©â© jiung
as a perfectionist that values work to a sometimes unhealthy extent, jiung wasnât fully aware of his blossoming love for you at first. it definitely takes him a little bit of time to accept that his feelings towards you arenât merely platonic, and as a result of that he might pull away for a bit before ultimately opting to get closer to you. like theo, ji doesnât really care to pine so when he does make the decision that he wants a chance at a future with you by his side, he makes his feelings very obvious. it starts with physical touch, which you yourself have witnessed jiung gagging at in the past with anyone else, so you already start suspecting that he might view you in a different light than his other friends. starts taking you out on study dates, accompanying you to cat cafes, tying your undone shoelaces for you.. heâs practically your boyfriend before the pair of you even discuss your feelings for each other. isnât a big gift giver but will pay for your food every time youâre together, not taking ânoâ from you as an answer. loves when he catches you staring at him from time to time, and blushes at the thought of you liking him back as much as he likes you. i see jiung confessing to you in a pretty nonchalant way, as heâs comfortable enough in his feelings to relay them to you with a certain sweetness that makes your heart warm. in his mind heâs quite nervous, but when you excitedly accept his confession heâs all smiles, grabbing your hand and giving you a quick peck on the cheek. jiung is your prince charming, and the shift between your mutual feelings for each other and officially becoming a couple is a comfortable process, as if it was always meant to be, as if the pair of you were always one, even from the beginning.
*à©â© intak
i see intak as the type of boy to wear his heart on his sleeve, and his security in accepting and understanding his own emotions allows him to be your knight in shining armor whenever you need him to be. he himself knows how comfort can be given in the form of company when life gets difficult, which is precisely the way he shows you his unwavering affection. he doesnât fully know for sure if he has platonic or romantic feelings for you in the beginning, but he begins to realize that itâs the latter when he finds himself answering a panicked call from you at very late hours of the night, to which he runs to grab his keys and fling on his jacket at he makes his way to your location to comfort you as best as he can. from that night on, he dedicates himself fully to making you feel safe and loved, even if heâs unsure if you reciprocate his feelings. his love language is definitely quality time, and he often ends up inviting you to local concerts, shopping dates, and the movies. wants you to know that heâll always be there for you, and that he enjoys spending his free time in your presence more than anyone elseâs. inflicts corny cliches onto you, like fake yawning and stretching his arm to wrap around your frame, (and his sneaky glance in your direction to make sure he hasnât made you uncomfortable is not a gesture that goes unnoticed). is your number one hype man, shoulder to cry on, and pillow for when you accidentally fall asleep leaning against his warmth. when he finally knows that you do reciprocate, his confidence shoots up to the roof. one night when you two are watching a movie together at your house, intak turns to face you, tucks a stray hair behind your ear and asks, âcan i kiss you?â, waiting for your approval before locking his chapped lips with yours. when you both part from the kiss he canât stop smiling and going in for more kisses, and eventually you both fall asleep cuddling on the couch. when you wake up he sits you down to make sure he interpreted your eagerness correctly, that you really do want to be his. is all giggles when you call yourself his âgirlfriendâ for the first time. he is soooo puppy coded ^_^
*à©â© soul
not being the most confident in the group, heâs quite hesitant to express his feelings for you. hides his crush on you from everyone, because he fears it could come between your close friendship. i think shota is the type to know right away if he has romantic feelings for someone, as heâs a great judge of character and knows who he can be comfortable around with a singular interaction. even though he may not want to verbalize his feelings to anyone, especially you, that doesnât mean that soul doesnât treat you different. on the contrary, he prioritizes your happiness more than his own, like when he brought you dozens of his favorite snacks from his latest trip to japan, or when he demotes jongseob as his gaming buddy so that he can teach you one on one how to play his usual games. although he might believe heâs not very obvious, all of his friends know that he loves you. after a long time of crushing on you, he starts to open up to you more, which surprises him, especially knowing that he likes to keep his emotions to himself. realizes at a certain point that he canât continue on like this, that he canât bare to keep you as just a companion, that he craves more. seeks out his friendsâ advice on the matter for the first time, and they all reassure him that there is no way that you donât feel the same, which is unconvincing to him. despite his doubts, he does eventually muster up enough courage to tell you how he feels, expecting you to kindly reject him and distance yourself afterwards, but to his surprise, you just reply with a kiss on his cheek, and the words, âi like you tooâ. from that point on, he becomes a more confident version of himself around you, constantly cracking jokes and keeping you attached to him at all times. every part of him that wanted to hide from you disappears once you put a label on your relationship, and heâs grateful that he didnât let his insecurities get in the way of your shared love for each other.
*à©â© jongseob
iâm a firm believer that seob would fall in love at first sight. his mind is older than his body, and heâs regarded as one of, if not the most mature of his group, despite being the youngest. jongseob knows what he likes, is in touch with his emotions, and most importantly, knows that he loves you more than life itself. doesnât shy away from pursuing you, makes it his goal in life to receive your unwavering affection!! definitely makes use of his photography hobby by using you as the subject in majority of his photos, always sends you printed copies with little notes written on the back of them, like the date they were taken on, what he was thinking when he photographed them, etc..! asks his older members for advice, and constantly tries to meddle information out of them that could be useful to his mission of asking you out.. heâs attentive just like keeho, and gives you little gifts that incorporate things like your favorite characters, perfume scents, colors, and songs. 100% writes lyrics about you, and shyly shows them to you when you come over one day, passing them off as âgeneralâ feelings but when he sees how excited you get to be reading something he wrote himself, your reaction is enough for him to finally ask you out on a proper date. when you leave in the evening, heâs giddy for the rest of the night, and writes down different date ideas just so that he can plan everything perfectly to fit your tastes. he also is on his phone all the time, always preoccupied with texting you, whether it be a simple âgood morning :]â or a cute video he saw on instagram. jongseobâs crush on you is deeper than he may let off at first, but he knows that itâs something that consumes his every thought and motivates him in every aspect of his life. once you two actually start dating, he continues to take pictures of you, and makes a scrapbook journal for the pair of you to look at in the future!! just the sweetest boy who values your interests and happiness over everything else!!!
