*シŕźâž LEE HEESEUNG
â when you remember a small thing about him
At first, there was only one reason you two were okay with sharing a place together, and that was because splitting the price would be so much more efficient, but now it's got so much more reasons.
For example; cooking. You both are decent chefs (at least you think so?) and like to experiment and try recipes here and here together. Baking cakes, to making your own homemade french fries, you've done a lot. Another reason is how much you get along, like friends for years now, even though it's only been a few months.
It's strange though, the connection you both have feels have been feeling a bit off to Heeseung. It's like the feelings he had for a classmate back in 9th grade. That was the last time he's felt it.
But it seems to be a bit stronger now, now that you knock softly on his door and peek your head in with a smile.
Your roommate instantly tears his headphones off his head, turning his chair to look at you. You step into his room and approach him, taking out your phone to open the notes app.
"Hey, Hee," You mumble. It's weird how the way you softly say his nickname has Heeseung's heart stopping for a second and his stomach flipping.
"Hi there, what did you need?"
You don't reply there for a split moment, before you stick your hand out and pass him your phone, which had a grocery list open. "You need anything from the store? I'm gonna go get some groceries."
Heeseung smiles at how considerate you are, nodding, before he looks down at your phone and thinks hard for what he wants.
He seems to find his mind completely blank, still preoccupied by the game he was playing previously. Animal crossing, one of his favorites. No time to think about that right now though.
"Oh, right," you perk up, before you take your phone from his clutches. "you mentioned like 2 days ago about running out of ramen."
And suddenly, it's like a stampeding zoo has replaced the beating of Heeseung's heart, racing faster than he's ever felt and rushing blood to his ears and cheeks. Maybe it was the way you remembered his simple craving, or the way you mumble how he's also running out of toothpaste and shampoo right after, or perhaps the dim lighting of his room makes you loom immaculate as you note down the groceries.
He doesn't know, but he knows he's done for.
"Alright, I think that's all. I'll be back in 30 minutes! Call me if you need anything else, okay?"
And as you exit his room, Heeseung thinks he's gonna have to call you later because he needs his heart back.
*シŕźâž PARK JONGSEONG
â when you care for him
You know Jay Park from your mother, who managed to snatch a good place for you to stay for Uni because of his own mother, who happened to be your mother's best friend in Uni too.
It's a bit strange though, because his mom and your mom are like twins, but you and Jay are somewhat opposites.
Which actually makes it perfect for you to live with each other. He's in charge of cooking (because god bless your kitchen if you were to make dinner tonight), and you're in charge of... other things.
See, Jay does the housework because he doesn't trust you after the last time you tried to clean the living room up, and he's okay with it. Because even though it's not your thing, you try. That's like better than any roommate he's had before.
Not only that, but you're better with feelings. When he has a crush on someone he goes to you, and seeks for help and advice to make a move or just drop the crush.
You're a great listener, and Jay really appreciates that. And a great test subject for him to throw on some clothes on you to see if the product he bought was worth it.
And now, as you gaze worriedly at Jay, who was currently stressing out because of an assignment, you decide to be helpful for once. Not feeling wise. Like, actually help. A snack maybe?
No, you can't make any snack. And you've run out of chips because of the movie night you had last week.
Jay sits on the dining table, head in his hands, struggling to find the right words to type away for his essay.
You know what he would kill for right now? A nice, hot cup of coffeeâ
"Here you go," your voice startles your roommate as you place a cup next to his hand. Jay's eyes, for the first time that evening, leave the screen, and shift over to the 'best mom' cup you got him for his birthday.
In it, is the black drink he was previously dreading for. And suddenly, when Jay looks up at you, you're an absolute angel, waiting for another chance to help him.
"I wanted to make you something, but you know my cooking skills are shit,"
Just the thought of you wanting to make him a little snack has Jay's heart flipping and soaring in his chest, the previous stress that built up in his body released and transformed into a warm sensation.
"O-oh, thank you!" Jay mumbles as he picks up the cup of coffee to his lips, sipping it lightly. "Really Y/n, thank you," He knows very well it was made from the coffee machine, but it almost tastes different because you made it for him. Silly.
For the next few minutes, you two simply char and have a nice moment of relaxation, talking about many different things before you two get back to your own tasks.
"Oh!" You suddenly exclaim, "do you remember what today is?"
At Jay's lost expression, you chuckle, and answer for him. "This marks 6 months of us being roommates!"
And this marks day one of Jay having a huge crush on you.
*シŕźâž SIM JAEYUN
â when you save his ass
Being childhood friends with Jake Sim has it's bright sides, and bad sides.
For example, when you're struggling math or physics he was instantly coming over to your house and teaching you all he could. You know you wouldn't have passed school without him. Another good thing about him is his many friends, including Jay Park, who has immaculate fashion and might you add, very rich.
However, you're in no place to approach him. But Jake is friends with Park Sunghoon too, which means many trips to the ice rink for many reasons. Maybe a small lunch drop off? A performance or competition you have to cheer him on? Maybe even a lesson? Park Sunghoon always fed your inner dream of becoming a figure skater.
You wonder if he's met Yuzuru Hanyu before.
And you're roommates. But that was always planned and expected since the last year of middle school so it isn't that much of a shock.
Oh, and the bad sides. Who knew Jake Sim was always going to be late for class? Elementary school, middle, high, all the way to University, he's constantly late to everything. Having to stall every professor is not something you were planning when you get to Uni, and yet here you are, distracting Mrs. Lee from starting math class.
You sigh in relief when you spot your best friend rushing through the doors, giving Mrs. Lee one last smile, "Oh, okay, thank you Mrs. Lee!"
She nods in response, before turning back to her desk, "Maybe next time you bring Mr. Sim with you? Aren't you two living together?"
At this, your face twists in sourness and you nod apologetically at your professor. "I'll try my best next time,"
And when you approach the panting Jake in the top 3rd row, you instantly throw a shove to his side.
Jake winces, before turning to you with a frown. "Ow, what was that for!"
"For being late, you idiot!"
Your roommate plops down in his seat, eyeing you as you join next to him calmly. "What did I miss?"
"Nothing."
What? But he's literally 15 minutes late. Class was sure to start by now, right?
Unless, oh my god.
"You stalled professor Lee?!"
"What else was I supposed to do you dumbass?! Let you miss so much material??"
Jake gapes at you, as Mrs. Lee finally start the lesson 15 minutes late. You haven't stalled a teacher for him since high school.
As you pat his cheek and mumble for him to focus, a swelling sensation warms in his chest, and he's finally realized that you're it for him.
*シŕźâž PARK SUNGHOON
â when he catches you stealing something from him
At first, you weren't so thrilled about being roommates with Park Sunghoon. Sure, you found him cool and all with his straight A's and figure skating skills but... he didn't talk much with you.
He was more of the personal, lone roommates. Those ones where when they come out of their room it's like a rare spotting of a wild animal.
But lately, because of one incident where he 'accidentally' made too much spaghetti and gave some to you, you've grown a lot closer. Like a lot.
Perhaps Sunghoon feels a little something for you, but he'll blame it on the chilly season when he feels different because of Christmas coming soon.
No, it's not the same way as when he goes figure skating, or Christmas shopping, or present opening. It's more of a... warm, happy feeling. Just so, so incredibly warm for some reason.
And you feel very cold currently, with winter coming soon. You weren't planning on staying so long, you figured you would go back home for autumn and winter, but your parents told you to stay and live with Sunghoon since it's closer to campus.
But now, you barely have any warm clothes to wear because they're all at home.
You sigh in disappointment, staring at the fresh pile of clothes that came right out the dryer. None of your clothes are warm, meant only for spring and summer. Sure, there was a sweater here and there, but you doubt that's enough to keep you warm throughout the week.
Your eyes trail from your pile of clothes, to Sunghoon's, which was right next to yours. You're on laundry duty this week, so you've seen most of his clothes. He has warm jackets and hoodies, almost too warm for you to simply stare at.
The next thing you know, your hand is grabbing at one of his gray sweaters, feeling the warmness on your fingers.
While Sunghoon is on the couch, finishing up an assignment he was working on, he catches sight of you quietly slipping out your room and walking to the front door with no words.
That's strange, you would always bid him goodbye.
"Where are you going?"
You completely freeze at Sunghoon's statement, looking back at him with a small, almost nervous, smile. "Oh, I'm just gonna hang out with Yuna, that's all."
"Oh, okay, have fun."
"Y-yeah, bye!"
Before you could leave, Sunghoon realizes something, something you wished he never realized.
"Hold on, is that my beanie?"
Defeated, you turn around with a sheepish smile, eyes darting to every corner of the room before they meet with your roommate's.
"Yeah,"
"A-and my hoodie?!"
"Also that, yeah."
Strangely, Sunghoon doesn't at all feel offended, or disturbed in any way. He's got that warm feeling swirling in him and heating his cheeks.
"I can take it offâ"
"âNo!"
Sunghoon coughs at the sudden raise of his voice, scratching at his wrist, "I-I mean no, it's okay."
It's really not, not when he feels like it's so right for you to steal his things and use it so casually, not when it does crazy things to his heart, not when he realizes he's in love with you.
*シŕźâž KIM SUNOO
â when you take notes for him
Kim Sunoo always had a history with getting sick. Spring and winter would usually be the worst, with the flowers and the cold. Because of this, you would often take care of him since the day you found out, which was freshman year of high school, when he took 2 days off due to a flu.
He's a lucky bitch, because the person who's been taking care of him since freshman year is now his roommate, and not just a friend who lives miles away. You're able to make him soup, his favorite soup, and instruct him to take his medicines.
Sunoo is very capable in objecting to take medicine, you know from when Yang Jungwon tried and tried to get him to take it, only to give up around 8 minutes later. Riki called him weak, but he lasted 2 himself.
The only way was to give him some pastry from the bakery because it's his guilty pleasure and would do anything to get a bite. Medicine? Done. As long as he gets his baguette.
Unfortunately, you found out just his morning that Sunoo was sick, and late to class to go rest in the nurse's office. No doubt Jungwon and Riki are there to him, sure to take any chance to skip classes.
So, to make him feel better, you decided to write him notes, along with a baguette, of course.
You take noted only for the classes you have with him, which is only about 3. Not that much, but writing in two notebooks at the same time is a true pain. God, you wish you were double handed. (if you are, you have all my respect you absolute legend)
By the time you get to the nurse's room, Sunoo looks a bit better, apple juice in his hand as he looks out the window boringly.
"Sunoo," You call out, "you okay?"
The boy whips around with a smile, nodding, "I'm feeling a bit better. These two kunckleheads helped with nothing, though."
He points to the corner, where Riki and Jungwon poke each other and whack the pillows to each other. They look extremely happy to seem like they're here for Sunoo.
Sighing, you simply plop down next to Sunoo, before taking your notebook out and pass it to Sunoo. "I took notes for you."
His eyes seem to sparkle in wonder as he opens the notebook, first few pages filled with neat and highlighted notes, with pointers and tips by the corner.
For once, Sunoo has notes that aren't from Riki, with nice, neat outlines and clear writing. It's a bit wobbly, but nothing compared to RIki's messy handwriting.
And as you pass him a baguette, he thinks he's met an angel, and he's fallen in love with you.
*シŕźâž YANG JUNGWON
â when you wake him up because of a fire drill
Living together with Jungwon was always a joy, you both get along very well and you both take responsibility on the place. It couldn't be more perfect.
Only, it wasn't perfect.
Every month, there is an annual fire drill. It's sounded fine at first before you realized these drills always initiated in the middle of the night. At the most unlikely times of the month.
There was one time where you had one on the last day o f the month, and then the second day of the next one. It was pure chaos.
Also, who the fuck would start a fire in the middle of the night?! (Apparently Lee Heeseung and Jake Sim because of their obsessions' with noodles. They don't even live together.)
Because of this, just this small thing about your place, you've become so paranoid at night. Except those nights where Niki comes over for a sleepover. The kid is so active in the day, and is the absolute best nap buddy.
Not that good actually, because of the one time he came over during a fire drill and was the last one out about 10 minutes late because he was still 80% asleep.
Apart from that, you are paranoid most of the time at night, which causes you to be ready, like right now, as the alarms go off in the ungodly hour of 4 am. You're surprised none of your neighbors have complained.
And here you are now, dragging Yang Jungwon out the door and dragging a blanket with you to head for the stairs. He's already so accustomed to this, and remains peaceful. He instead leans onto you and continues resting.
Once you've finally reached the lobby, you let Jungwon go, and turn around to pat his cheeks. "Hey, hey Jungwon. It's my turn to sleep."
You decided to take turns on who sleeps and who stays up until it's time to go back to your respective places. This month it's your turn to sleep, thank god.
Your roommate only grunts as a reply, before he tears his eyes open to wake up. He passes you the blanket, slapping his cheeks to wake up fully. You take the blanket thankfully as he mumbles something about suing the owner of the building, leaning your head on his shoulder.
Jungwon does nothing but continiously blink at the night sky, trying to wake himself up by counting the stars.
Zero. You live in the city, of course there wouldn't be any stars.
In the depths of sleepiness, a sudden warm sensation spreads through Jungwon's body, and he turns his head to see you, your arms wrapped around his waist and your face shoved in his shoulder.
A fluttering feeling erupts from Jungwon's stomach, and travels all over his body and ends up staying in his cheeks, pink as ever.
Your arms tighten around him, and now you've brought the blankets around the both of you, which doesn't help his extremely heated cheeks at all.
"W-what are youâ"
"âyou're always warm on these fire drill nights, did you know that?"
And you're really cute tonight, in the lobby of the building, in the middle of a fire drill, and clinging onto Jungwon.
This might be the only fire drill he enjoys.
*シŕźâž NISHIMURA RIKI
â when you make him breakfast
RIki takes all his precious time sleeping, you know this very well. If he has time in the afternoon, he's spending it snoozing on the couch until he has to get up to study or do an assignment, he is also a pain to wake up in the morning.
There was a time you had a sleepover in the living room and ended up skipping classes just because you woke up literally 2 hours late. His embrace is meant for sleep, you think. And the way he's the best at convincing you to just go back to sleep? He could fool a whole court into believing the victim was innocent, and in need of sleep.
However, even if you did enjoy how warm his hold was, you've been trying to find the best methods to wake Riki up. And lately, he's been extra lazy so you need to find one quick.
Today, you try the method of breakfast. Other than sleep, Riki would kill for food when he's hungry. Most the time he wakes up because he's hungry.
You've prepared nothing but lucky charm cereal, one of his favorites. He finished the pop tarts last week so that didn't work. It would've woken him up instantly.
You knock on your roommate's door shortly, before opening the door to the expected sight of him tangled in his sheets and looking so incredibly comfortable.
The only visible part of him is the top of his head, bed head, might you add, and his legs that stick out of the blankets. He looks peaceful, and so very adorable it almost causes you to exit and not disturb him.
But the cold sensation of the condensation glossing over the bowl in your hands cause you to set it by his bedside table, and wipe your cold hands on your shirt. You then reach out to rip the covers off of Riki, exposing his face to the cold air of the morning (and his broken AC).
His eyes instantly squint at the light seeping through his window, groaning and tossing around to avoid it.
"Niki, wake up,"
Riki simply mumbles incoherently, swatting at your arms that shake his shoulders, "No. Isn't it a weekend or something? If you're sleepy too you're welcome to nap with me,"
"No!" You pull your arms back before he's able to drag you next to him, placing them on your hips instead, "Not again, not this time!"
Before your roommate falls fully back asleep, you grab the bowl of cereal on his nightstand, before sitting next to him.
"I brought you breakfast,"
Suddenly, Riki springs up, and his eyes are wide as ever, staring at the bowl of cereal in your hands.
Nobody has done such a thing for him. Sure, there was his birthday, but his mom would tell him to shower and all that before eating cake. This, this was just straight up breakfast in bed.
His hands take the bowl from yours, instantly scooping a spoonful of cereal, and it goes straight into his mouth.
Strangely, he doesn't feel frustrated like usual, or groggy, or any of that. He feels good, happy.
Lucky Charms is his favorite cereal now, and you are his favorite person.

Track and Field
This is something that came from my mind because summer homework sucks and Iâm secretly trash for Kim Mingyu. This is actually my first scenario/imagine/drabble/ect so go easy. Nevertheless, enjoy! Â - Fay <3
(Photo not mine, credits to @seventeen.boys)
Genre: Fluff, HighSchool!AU
Word Count: 2,028
POV: Third Person
You were one of the best athletes at school. A top-notch, promised track runner among the girlsâ track and field team. Although school work and extra curricular activities can pile you up, running was always your outlet to relaxation. It was always an exciting time whenever the season came up, when the flowers were blooming, the weather getting warmer and warmer as the days go by. It was even more exciting when it came to co-ed track and field meets where itâs the classic boys versus girls meet. When the coaches told the boys jokingly to take it easy on the girls, oh man did you kick ass on those days. It was kind of cute to see the result of having butt hurt boys having their pride hurt because they lost to a girl on the long distance run. Nothing could be more perfect in your eyes.
And the one meet that was co-ed was always the last meet of the season. When it came up, you couldnât be anymore excited. Shot-put and discus had already finished their events and it was almost time for the relay event. This was one of your favorite events since the three who were competing with you were the only friends you had, and they could win this race without a doubt. But before the event came up, you four had the opportunity to be girls. You know, gawk at guys and maybe snack on something you shouldnât. You didnât particularly like to look at boys since there was always something better to talk about.
âOoh, what about him?â
âNo way, Jiah. Remember what happened when I went after guys like him? Just talks about his cologne and how nice he looks. Never again.â
Your group giggled before they went to look at the other boysâ track and field teams. It was normal among your group of friends, they were interested in guys that they possibly could have a chance with because of a similar interest to track. However, youâre more focused on the chips in your hand than looking for a romantic partner. Dating never appealed to you and honestly, the boys who came to the track meets werenât your type. That was until the boysâ track and field team from a different school had someone who was able to level with your skills.
He was the one and only, Kim Mingyu.
Youâve heard of him before, most high schools know about him. Although he was a high school athlete, he practically had his own fanbase. He had the girls already falling for him, making posters, and stalking him whenever they got the chance. He lived the life of the star athlete. And how did you know? He was your childhood friend and your first love.
Until you were seven, he was your older brother figure. A best friend that lived next door and would tease you and protect you from bullies. He liked to tease you with the, âbut Iâm older than you!â line. And you would fire back with your, âby like three months!â line. But looking back on those days made your heart clench and throb. Why? Because it reminded you that you had a big fat crush on him. Like, the biggest crush that you had to hide it. The day he moved away was the day your little childhood heart was shooken up and broken. You even forced yourself not to cry.
After several years later, you thought you gotten over your silly little crush on him. But it turns out that even years later, you still like him. And you realize that heâs gotten so handsome over time. His old silly haircut became gorgeous brown locks, those eyes gotten more dreamy than before, and that cute awkward grin turned into a beautiful crooked smile. You were so enraptured in his features that your friends had to literally shake you out of your dreamy state.
âYah, (Y/N)~ Sheâs looking at that handsome boy over there~â
âLeave her alone, Jiyoung. This is the first time weâve seen her gawk over anybody.â
You didnât notice anything until you finally snapped out of your state, turning so fast to your friends you couldâve given yourself whiplash. It wasnât until a few seconds later that you realized that you were actually back to reality. Wide eyed and shaking your head frantically, you reassured your friends that you were fine.
âNo, Iâm fine you guys. I swear, Iâm just distracted.â
âDistracted by hottie over there, câmon! (Y/N), you realize that is Mingyu. This may be your only chance before a fangirl steals him away from you!â
âI seriously doubt heâs gonna be after a fangirl, Minah. After all, Iâm just another track runner. Iâm no different than him,â you said while getting up from your spot on the grass, dusting off your shorts. You immediately went to look for a trashcan to throw out your chip bag, but not before bumping into someone on the way there.
âOh Iâm so sorry, I didnât mean to ââ
The voice from above you rumbled with soft laughter, looking down at you.
âOops, didnât see you there, bumblebutt.â
You perked up at the nickname, backing up a bit before you met with Mingyuâs eyes.
â(Y/N), do you not remember me? How is my bumblebutt doing?~â he teased you, chuckling softly and patting your head a bit. If he got any closer, he would feel how hard your heart was beating.
âHow can I ever forget about my butterbun?â That nickname alone made you both giggle, playful punches on the arm being given to you both. You both exhanged little glances and even did your old handshake. You were even surprised that you remembered it from years ago.
After a couple minutes of talking, you discovered that he took an interest to track and field after moving to his new neighborhood. His high school was described to be huge, prestigious and somewhat high class. Or at least a little better than the high school you currently attended. Awkward and cute Mingyu became handsome and pretty popular among the crowd. It surprised you and him both. You even told him about whatâs been going on in your life, the usual track and field practices and how piled up on school work you were. He was even proud at the fact that you can deal with the bullies now.
During the middle of your conversation, the event for the relay called over the different schools. It turns out that your school and his were in the relay together. Little jokes were thrown around between you two before taking your positions on the track. And this was the time were you were teased by your friends again, poking fun at you and playing around for a bit.
âYah, get on in your positions you three. Itâs time to get serious,â you said in the middle of your fits of giggles.Â
As the countdown time was decreasing, you turned back so that youâre able to see Jiyoung about 500 feet away. You were the one closest behind the finish line, so you had to be quick. The starting pistol went off, and the relay began. Soon, your heart was pounding out of your chest after a few laps. Your legs were beginning to ache and your throat craved for hydration. The last few drops of moisture began to slip from your pores, which added to the sheen of sweat covering your body.
Luckily, this last lap was all on you. The make or break of the season. Once handed the baton, you dashed off as quick as you can. Everything almost became a blur, the cheering from the crowd, the blinding sunlight, and the chants of your fellow track mates. You can no longer feel the ache in your legs, the gentle heat radiating from your body, and it was blissful. Until you stopped in your tracks.
Once again, the girlsâ track team have won the relay. Your team made it and got to the top of it all. That was your highlight of the last meet of the year.Â
Despite that, you went to try and look for Mingyu, only to be surrounded by his fanbase along with the rest of his relay competitors. Something in your heart discouraged you to approach him, your hopes of finally being able to talk to him letting you down in the dumps. Instead of waiting up for him, you decided to just go home, grabbing your overloaded duffel bag and calling your mom to pick you up. After all, itâs not like youâre even gonna see him again after that meet.
After coming come, you went to your room and crashed on your bed. The plush, cool sheets pressing against your skin. A soft exhale left your lips as your arms waved around your bed to make a little bed angel. Your mind was still caught up with Mingyu, how basically nothing changed between you two except for the fact that you both grew up a little. And that he got even more attractive than when you were both in elementary school. Those were the days thatâll be missed. And you wonât even get to see him again.
And at that moment, your phone went off in your bag. You quickly got up from your position on the bed and reached over for it, an unknown number with a text message lighting up your phone.
[5:49] Hey bumblebutt! Itâs me, Mingyu :D
You felt your heart skip a couple of beats. You actually had to pinch your self and punch yourself to make sure you werenât dreaming. And it was a dream come true. You're finally talking to your crush after all these years.
[5:50] is this really Mingyu?
[5:50] Who else calls you bumblebutt?? Of course itâs me.
[5:50] I will honestly be so mad if you were pranking me right now XD
[5:51] You know Iâll only do that to you physically. Over the phone is not as fun, haha :3
A little smile appeared on your face, rolling onto your stomach on your bed as you read his messages.Â
[5:51] Oh, btw (Y/N), congratulations on the relay! I wanted to see you after the meet to say that. Where were you?
[5:52] I went home! And I wouldâve come up and talk with you. if only a couple of fangirls werenât in the way >>
[5:52] Uh oh, Bumblebutt sounds jealous that her ButterBun has fangirls~
[5:52] câmon, donât do that to me ButterBun~
[5:53] Iâm teasing you, haha. But I swear, I really was looking for you after the whole meet. I missed talking to my best friend :(
A little blush began to color your cheeks, covering your face even though no one was around. You began to lose your color after he didnât reply after a couple of minutes. The cloud that showed that he was typing was on there for awhile, even exiting the app and opening it again made no change. Panic set in until he finally sent his message.
[5:56] Listen (Y/N), we havenât talked in awhile and well, I would like to meet up one day? Maybe get food or something with the guys?
[5:57] three minutes to say that?
[5:57] âŚ
[5:57] yes.
[5:57] lol you dork. Of course Iâll meet you. Just give me the time and place, and weâre all set. That and some dresscode, hehe
[5:58] Oh! How about tomorrow at that one cafe down the street? The one we always went to after school with my mom?
[5:58] I havenât been there in awhile. Sounds good to me, ButterBun.
