Ok. It's been mentioned to death. But I really have to wonder. If Tommy wasn't supposed to be a long-term LI, and he was just supposed to be there for bi-Buck realization. Why bother bringing back a previous character so connected to the 118? ANd let him stick around the rest of the season and into season 8? They easily could have been a Coast Guard medic on the ship after they rescued Athena and Bobby. And he can still be stationed out of LA, and still could bond with Eddie.

And then, if they really wanted the break up to be permanent, why have Tommy with everyone else at the hospital for Denny. Like I know this season was a mess. But it's still baffling to me, that they did show that he could fit, and he did understand the job and all this other stuff. Only for them to just break up in the most inconsistent and stupid way possible.

Sigh. So many things about this still just irk me to no end.
