OOH ALSO KANERA in a reverse-roles AU!

I had so much freaking fun with this one:

While Kanan was, technically, in the Empire’s eyes, a criminal, not EVERYTHING he owned was stolen. Most notably, his ship. He’d met the Ghost when he was eighteen, and had fallen head over heels in love.

He’d had a decent job at the time, and had worked hard and saved, for six months. That, with almost all of his savings, only covered half of the cost of the ship. But the man selling it had made a deal with him, and after a few jobs with his organization— a surprisingly not shady one— the Ghost was Kanan’s.

After that, it had just been him and his ship, for a long time, fighting for those who needed it. And that was nice.

This, right now, watching Hera taking in the Ghost with wide eyes? This was a lot nicer. Kanan was pretty sure that he hadn’t been able to surprise her once in their time together on Gorse, but she was speechless now.

Play it cool, Kanan. He couldn’t make it too blindingly obvious, just how much he liked seeing her trace her fingers across the hull with reverence, real joy in her eyes for the first time. “What do you think?” he asked, unable to hold back the smallest smile.

“I think you’re gonna let me fly her.” Hera looked at him, lifting an eyebrow. “Right?”

“Absolutely.”
