all i’m saying is that we should’ve been able to actually see Nate make the decision to quit and see him do that and tell Rupert off on screen
#like that would have been so much more impactful than the news story shock discovery#we have all been angry at nate and then rooting for his redemption#him not spitting at himself in the mirror was step one#then him going home to jade instead of doing what rupert wanted on their 'boy's night' was step two#and then to not see him take this crucial final step to break himself free from everything that had been poisoning him?#and i don't just mean rupert i mean this horrible view he has of himself which fuels his cruelness through his own lack of confidence#it just felt very hand-wavy like oh look nate did the right thing but now he's sad because he doesn't know where his life is going#also there are rumours at west ham about inappropriate workplace behaviour#but nate deserved to have that quitting scene on screen#it also would have been an uno reverse from what he did to ted last season#except this time it's coming from a place of growth and understanding that he chose wrong#and it would have helped explain whatever the hell was going on with rupert this episode#ted lasso#ted lasso spoilers
