1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character?

 Andel is a half-elf bard and is vaguely based off of characters like Flynn Rider and Han Solo, and their trust issues was influenced by the realisation of my own similar trauma as i was making them.

Kreed wasn’t... really inspired by anything? I just thought “oh, a tiefling ranger would be fun.” and then later, as i was making him, went “oh. but what if i made him a changeling that just takes the form of a tiefling normally”

2. What is your character’s relationship with their family? Family is a word which here refers to biological relatives, close companions, and/or the individual(s) who raised them.

ahahaha.... oh boy....

Andel never knew their mother (an elf), she left them with their dad as soon as they were born, and their father (a human), left them at an orphanage after like. a year. The closest thing they’ve ever had to Family is Meric, their bardic mentor, who found them on the street and took them in.

And Kreed?? Well. The man Kreed called his father had his girlfriend murdered, and then Kreed killed him in is grief, so. Family relationships and my characters Do Not Mix

3. Who is the closest person to them?

For Andel, it’s definitely Meric, followed closely my their old dwarf party member who left and their current goliath party member.

Kreed doesn’t really have anyone anymore, but it use to be his girlfriend, Tess.

4. What were the conditions surrounding their formative years?

Andel was basically a street urchin until they met Meric at like 16, because they left the orphanage as soon as they could walk and talk properly.

Kreed was taught by his as-yet-nameless father figure that his changeling nature was something to be secretive and cautious of, and that, combined with his accidental murder of said father while in his natural changeling form and grieving, made him incredibly fearful of his shapeshifting

5. What creature would they like to have as a pet?

I don’t think either of them would have a pet, to be honest. They wouldn’t be sure what to do with it.

6. Do they have any bad habits?

I don't even know where to start with this, so I won’t eruishjkgdfs. Andel probably has too many to count, and I haven’t played Kreed enough yet to really know.

7. Is there anyone they’d die for? Kill for?

Andel would die and kill for anyone they wholly and fully trust, and that list is very short. In fact, that list is the three people mentioned in question 3.

Kreed would die for anyone he perceived as innocent/a victim. He’d sacrifice himself for a perfect stranger if he thought Tess would think it was the right thing to do.

8. Who was their first love?

Andel hasn’t been in love, yet.

Kreed’s first and only love was Tess

9. How would this character react to someone confessing their love for them?

Andel would probably be really awkward about it, unless they knew them well. They might try and see if they could return the feelings? but really they’re not use to people loving them in any capacity.

Kreed would probably politely turn them down. Tess was it for him, and he can’t ever imagine being with anyone else.

10. How old is this character?

Andel doesn’t actually know their age. it’s somewhere between 20 and 25, they know that, but there were a lot of years there where they couldn’t keep track of time passing - all that was important was surviving. They dont even know their birthday, or what year they were born in.

Kreed is 25.

11. Are they normally peaceful or aggressive?

hm. I’m going to say peaceful, for both, because both of them are very “stand up for the little guy” people, but they both resort to words before violence. Andel because they’re trying to protect themselves, Kreed because he doesn’t want to hurt people.

12. How does this character handle stress?

Poorly, for both of them. Andel either steps up and takes on everything, even if it isn’t their job, or completely shuts down.

Kreed... I’m not sure yet. But i know he wouldnt do well under stress. He’d probably shift, and he hates doing that.

13. Does your character consider themselves lucky?

good god no. Neither of them have lead particularly good lives, they’re just doing what they can to get by. Luck is not a thing they know

14. What is their favorite holiday?

I don’t think either of them really have one, or at least i haven’t but thought into it

15. What is the best gift they could receive?

a hug. that’s like. for both of them. god i love my boys but i Messed Them UP.

16. If they could instantly kill one person in the world without consequence, who would it be?

I’m not sure either of them would know? They don’t want more death on their hands then there already is.

17. If they were in possession of a trio of wishes, what would their three wishes be?

OOF that's tough.

As much as Andel wouldn’t admit it, i think one of their wishes would be to know who their parents are. I think they’d also wish for Meric’s guaranteed safety, and to always know they have a home to return to.

Kreed would only wish for one thing: to have Tess back.

18. What is their favorite spell or method of attack?

Andel’s go-to spells are thunderwave and shatter. Like, we start combat and I pull out my d8′s because i KNOW thats basically all i’m going to be using yuhirkdjf.

Kreed is a ranger, and he’s into archery, so while he does have swords and a dagger, he’d probably reach for his bow first.

19. What are their guilty pleasures?

I’m not sure about guilty, but Andel always busks whenever they don’t know what to do next, and they still love performing from their time as a traveling entertainer with Meric.

I feel like I don’t know Kreed well enough to say.

20. What is something this character is or could be addicted to?

I truly dont think either of them would get addicted to anything? i dont know, its weird to think about, because they’re both such cautious dudes.

21. Have you actually played this character yet?

as of today, I’ve played both of them! I’ve been playing Andel since... i think sometime in 2017? And I did my first session (though hopefully not last) with Kreed today :D
