There was a video on Instagram that said reading problematic fiction content affects your "subconscious" without you knowing.

A person replies, "Then you are taking away the concept of accountability from humans and saying we are not responsible for our behaviours. It's like saying serial killers like Ted Bundy did not kill women because he was a bad human being but he watched some 80's misogynistic movies, which alludes that he was not solely responsible for his own behaviour which is not true because millions of people watched those movies and they did not turn like him. It also waters down mental health and the psychology of human behaviour which is not plausible at all."

Another person replies, "I don't care about bad people at all! I care about the victims that would come out of this! Kids will read this and think this is normal and accept abuse from people! Have your kinks and such but stop writing it and making it accessible to teenage girls!!"

This is where we lost the plot.

Because why it's the author's responsibility to check if some teenagers are reading their stuff or not. Doesn't make an ounce of sense because authors cannot be present in every distribution of their book or media, do you want them to be present in every bookstore or library with an age scanner or something?

Also, what do you mean by "accessible"? Adult books have always been written as 18+ on the cover and the shelves of the books stores. Minors in most places cannot have a library card without the sign of their parents or school principal. Most sites are 18+ and whatnot. It's written in glowing words "You are a minor the themes here are not written for you please read something else." They can see it, yet they still come to those sites, mingling with grown adults and get surprised when the adults are talking about things that clearly only adults should talk about.

Also, I cannot believe people expect authors to act as their parents or something? Because it's the parent's job to monitor what kind of stuff their kid is reading or watching or what kind of people their kid is mingling with on the internet. Why do others have to make their content "kid friendly" because some random kid will download a pdf from Google of some obviously problematic books and get affected by it? It's their parent's job to make sure of that.

"Teenage girls read these things and will think abuse Is okay." That is not true at all because women have been brainwashed into thinking abuse is okay when they couldn't even read. They were barred from reading specifically because if they could read they would think the world is fucking unfair to them and form their own voices.

In Bengal (now India and Bangladesh) back in the 16th century, women were told that if they learnt English they would turn them into widows to stop them from reading. Being a widow in the Hindu religion used to be worse than death itself. Not only burning together with your husband was a ritual for some women but also having to fast twice a week without water, not being able to eat anything nutritious because well you were a widow. Tell me which book "normalised" it? Which book did these women read that "affected" their "subconscious" that made them endure this torture for 5 fucking centuries? Even now in the 21st century, widowed women in India wouldn't get married, the society wouldn't allow them. Which fucking book or movie is making them do that?

You have to understand that misogyny is not the cause of patriarchy, patriarchy is the cause of misogyny. Men did not turn violent overnight by some misogynistic movies or books, violence against women by men was the cause of those movies being made. You saying that teenage girls will "learn" to endure abuse through some Colleen Hoover book takes away the systematic oppression women have been enduring from the dawn of time for generations after generations.

These days I cannot watch any book reviews on YouTube because halfway through they would start preaching censorship. Which is absolutely horrifying. Censorship has been the weapon of fascism for years and years combined with deadly religious cults and puritans. If you are rejoicing that they censored "problematic" books, next they will censor your "unproblematic" media, then your voice, your eyes and ears and your humanity all because you let them censor something.

Instead of censoring media, censor the damn society. Beating the shit out of your brothers, fathers and male friends when they make rape jokes would solve a lot of problems than preaching censorship actually. Many of you never tried that.

my (android) phone's Gallery App (specifically its photo, gif, and video editors within said app) (i usually try this first, to see if all i need is achievable here. if not, i go elsewhere. and, if nothing else, it's great at helping me get crop-off/video-trim-away various app's watermarks. like?? lol no. i won't keep that. ill keep creators' watermarks, 100%; but not million-dollar companies lol)

the free version of the CapCut App (which i use when my phone's Gallery App just won't work, bc the editing needs to be too precise or something)

ezgif.com (is especially great for converting videos to gifs, examining and messing with frames of your project, converting the "gif files" creators' attach to their youtube Community Tabs post called "webpage files" to gifs, and a few editing needs that Capcut or my phone's Gallery App just won't work with. like ezgif can get REALLY PRECISE and gritty about exactly where you want the beginning and ending of a video/gif to be, down to the hundredth and thousandth+ Decimal Place. which is soooo useful lol just make sure you have the item you want to edit downloaded; some of the "insert the image/video's URL" options havent been updated to recognize the changed URLs of sites like youtube and whatnot)

KnowYourMeme.com (very helpful for both finding niche memes if youre like "i really want some more Scooby Doo memes. let me look up the show on this website to go through its 'related meme entries' tabs". it's like TV Tropes for memes. it's also helpful for finding meme templates, finding out if someone did a variation of a meme already so you can reap the benefits while not having to make it yourself (eg. looking for a Doctor Who variation of the "Is that a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure reference?" meme), and more)

remove.bg (it deletes backgrounds for you. and you can download your image either as a transparent png or you can tell the website to download the image with a background, to which i typically use a solid black or white the rare time i don't want a transparent png. my favorite thing about it though is, if the auto-generator is wrong in any way, you can manually guide it on what you want erased and what you dont; and you can use their "magic brush" (AI trying to understand what you want to erase/store) or you can "turn off their magic brush" for something that follows your exact "erase/restore this pls" scribbling and does add intelligence to what you mean. i switch between turning on/off magic brush often, it's so helpful lol) (the sister-website this has for videos isn't good though, i do not recommend that one at all. at least how it is as of writing this in August 2024)

imgonline's specific "combine two images into one by putting them side-by-side" tab (it lets you put them side-by-side, what can i say. it does it by either connecting them landscape-style or connecting them vertically, depending on what you choose. the only setting i change, beyond the obvious "do i want landscape or vertical?", is i make the images the png-option. highly recommend you "Open The Image" to check it is what you want before you "Download The Image" bc sometimes i click the wrong toggle. i know i could just use Canva instead, but ive been using imgonline before Canva was around, personally, so it's a habit)

pinetools' specific "combine two images into one by overlapping the smaller one to be ontop of the larger one" tab (this is so helpful for my phone's Gallery App. bc it has a size limit on how small a "sticker from my photo albums" can me. so what i do is i go to pinetools with my ever faithful companion, WikiCommon's HD Transparent Large Image. i have the transparent image be the biggie, insert the file of my "too small image" to be anywhere on top, and wham-bam-yes-m'am, now my Gallery App will allow the the combo to be a sticker. love this for me specifically)

imagecolorpicker (helps me pick a color from an image to use as a hexcode, helps me find a photo-color scheme i can steal, etc. it's a great tool to use for anything that will accept a hex-code (but may/may not allow a tear-drop, or maybe you want a color from x-image to put into y-project and so the teardrop tool may be ineffective across tabs), such a great website)

YouTube is glitchy asf & i want to escape Google suite, but i want some videos (covers & whatnot) that i can’t get elsewhere as MP3/MP4 files that i can use on my phone &/or MP3 player.

(i searched for them first on other platforms, but they’re exclusive unfortunately.)

¿does anyone here know a site that actually works/gives functional MP3/MP4 files that isn’t (a) gonna steal data, (b) doesn’t have viruses, (c) doesn’t stop the download with ads & refuse the file to give it to me, & (d) hopefully (i’ll accept if not but) also lets me cut/trim parts of videos (to remove the ‘join my patreon’ spiel or the extra music and whatnot at the beginning or end of a video (that YT has often))?

i’m very new to the ‘i really don’t want to support the platform/creator, but i know i want to have the content somehow, and i know there are alternative file methods to access these’ (gathering content from creators that I love & want to support but can’t get elsewhere) scene. i don’t have the resources or knowledge of the existing options, and a quick search on any platform (Google of course, but also Bing & DuckDuckGo) isn’t giving me anything that works.

It's pretty easy really, so long as you find a good app to work with. Back when I had a Macbook I used iMovie, now I use Clipchamp, but there are many to chose from, so that's step 1.

Step 2. Then you chose the music and video clips you want to use, download them into mp4 or mp3 format respectively. There are websites that can covert video to both mp4 and mp3 format, or websites that pirate episodes from shows if they're not available on youtube sometimes allow you to download. and then you download them to your computer.

Step 3. Then you upload them to your video editing app. Add the music, start editing clips from the video and boom, you're there.

This is a screenshot from my Defying Gravity video (coming soon!) and while the text is in Swedish I hope it helps give an idea of how these apps tend to look. You import the media you want to use, put it into your project and then you can start cutting and adding effects and whatnot to your video and then export it and download to your computer when you feel satisfied.

15 days of Productivity - REVIEW

So I haven't been posting since I beleive last Wednesday, and so much has happened since then.

We moved house on Thursday! It was very stressful and I'm pretty sure I had a panic attack, but overall, I'm so glad we moved. The house is full of light, the garden is big and open, and my dog loves sniffing around the bushes and stuff 💓

But, one downside was that there was a LOT more work than I had anticipated. I was packing all day everyday, and then studying until sometimes 3am, and still I wasn't studying as much as I wanted to. The thing about moving house is that you can't exactly do an 8 hour day of study.

And then after the move, we still had to unpack, and it took ages to find stuff like my monitor, chargers and a desk. Not to mention, the WiFi wasn't working!! I managed to go to a family friends house to download some lectures, but still, it isn't rlly enough when you want to go onto YouTube videos and discussion boards and whatnot. This was a pretty big deal, and contributed to me not actually getting to my exam.

Saturday came around - I still hadn't made my notes to bring into the exam yet, let alone actually studied. We went to pick up my sister from the airport, which last until 11am. I was so excited to have her in Australia, and I hated that I was thinking about this exam rather than hanging out with my sister who I hadn't seen in 9 months. I ended up filing a special consideration form to my uni to extend the exam date. I texted my friend about it and she was super supportive, and gave me the forms.

That night, we also had a close friends 21st party 2 hours away, and stayed overnight.

Today (Monday,) I had booked a doctors appointment to get a mental health form to send to my uni for special consideration.

What I'm really trying to say that - yes for sure- you can do 15 days, 100 days of Productivity. But it will soon turn to 100 days of burnout if your stressing every single day. Pace yourself, make realistic goals, and look after yourself!

Living Without A Smartphone, Is It Possible?

Yes, but it's very difficult in a society that makes it a necessary tool for nearly everything. I remember when mobile phones use to be bulky and expensive luxury items that were only used to make calls or limited texts.

Everyone has one now, even middle schoolers and most homeless people. It's become such an essential part of daily life. With how advanced cellphones have become that's understandable. You can instantly communicate via text or through a call with friends, family, business associates, and access to email. You can even send photos, video chat and never worry about ever getting lost again. You can also surf the Internet, check out Facebook, watch Youtube videos, post a photo to Instagram -- the entertainment possibilities are endless.

Chances are you have one too, but I didn't always have one. I spent years without because I just couldn't afford it and I had my PC and landline instead. Here are some examples of when I needed a phone or I could've used one to make things easier.

If a friend is running late to a meet-up or has cancel you won't be able to know.

If something happens such as a medical emergency or you need a tow truck you won't be able to call for help.

You can't order a Uber or Lyft unless you borrowed somebody's phone. Even then, it's not always guaranteed that you'll even have access to a public phone at your destination or if a stranger is willing to help you out. This wouldn't be much of an issue if payphones still existed. If not, you could also try to hail a city taxi but keep in mind that option is usually a little more expensive.

You will get lost. Without a GPS or Google Maps to guide you, you'll have to stop and ask for directions. And yes, the first thing people will ask is 'can't you look it up on your phone?'

If you got a car, looking for a parking spot will be even more of a nightmare. That's because many locations have been replacing their old meters with cashless parking meter. With those you need a smartphone in order to download the app, create an account and then pay through it. This is also a huge pain for elderly drivers and the disable that struggle with new technology.

You can sometimes op-out of two-factor authentication, but not always. They usually need more than one way to verify you. You can sometimes get away with just your email, but those that take their security very seriously will need a mobile phone number.

When it comes to filling out a online registration form you can sometimes leave the box blank when it asks for a mobile phone number. However, that's not always the case and you might not even be able to continue on without filling in the required field. This is particularly annoying when it's for something important like the jury duty questionnaire, medical or whatnot.

hello to anyone who’s scrolling the vesperia tag! I have finally gone around to digitizing other vesperia materials I possess that aren’t.. really anywhere online. (i may have put this off for at least as early as when I scanned light novel stuff)

anyway. the drive folder im providing includes: the vesperia stage play!!, the 10th anniversary party!!, tales of homeroom: tov edition!!, first strike 2019 bluray version!!

just keep in mind the following: you’ll have to download the things to watch them. you’ll most likely need to watch them through VLC media too. and they’re all unsubbed because translation is really not my forte

if you’re seeing this post and havent in any form completed/seen the game then do beware spoilers being in there, proceed with your own discretion. other than that, have fun! if anyone wants to translate these (they are all RAWs after all) please feel free to :)

I have so many thoughts on the stage play and i consider it a worthwhile experience! its like a little treat (though the speedrun being done here to get as much main story content covered within 2.5 hours is a sight to behold LMAO) (and even then, the stage play diverts from the main story to a good degree :3c)

-Tales of Vesperia 10th Anniversary Party (2018), also known as the celebratory party that was done live with all the voice actors leading the show! it’s overall very sweet and charming. this includes 2 discs, each containing a recording of 2 different days when the party took place, if that makes sense. any other videos in the folder is the bonus segments included in the bluray too, in a similar fashion to the stage play

-Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ 10th Anniversary Edition (2019), and Yes, we do have the movie available online, but i figured i could provide the bluray version that you would get if you got the definitive edition of the game in Japan. could make use for some HD screenshots perhaps.

the plus to the new bluray: it INCLUDES a 30 minute skit present on the disc as a bonus. im also providing the menu animation for the bluray since I somehow could rip that too and it looks pretty neat (:

-Tales of Homeroom, the two tales of vesperia episodes that you could only get through, again, the first strike bluray (2019). What Medias/Fandoms do you Think Could Use or Needs More Cardiophilia Content to Come From It

Cardiophilia is popular... among cardiophiles. It's not really the most popular fetish for some reason, at least that's what I've heard. As a member of this community, I've often thought how some fandoms and such that I'm that apart of and enjoy could use more cardiophilia content to come out of it, like art, comics, fanfictions, etc. - fanmade content. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, the interest in certain characters from other medias being put in a cardiophilia kinda situation or something.

Just for the hell of it, I guess, I'm gonna list some medias and etc. that could use more of such treatments, generally speaking. I'll list some of my ideas and update the list on occasion, however, I'd like all of you to share your thoughts/ideas, too, which I'm more than willing to add to the list. So far I currently only have anime coming to mind, but you don't have to specifically name anime, yourselves - Other platforms and whatnot are, of course, allowed. I may add them to the list, as well as more sections for your ideas to be listed under.

Sharing why is optional.

And one more thing, in case people miss what I'm talking about: When I say 'content', I mean stuff made by fans, like fanfics, comics, art, etc., nothing official from the authors or anything like that.

Anime

Fairy Tail: Putting aside the lovable characters that are featured, among other things, there's a lot of heart-related stuff, with more or less of them being suggestions that involve the heart. Honestly, some scene have made me wonder if Hiro Mashima, FT's author, is a cardiophile.

My Hero Academia: My Hero Academia almost entirely consists of adored and well-designed characters. One character who comes to mind more than others when thinking of the need for more cardiophilia-themed stuff is Kyoka Jiro. Her Quirk, Earphone Jack, allows her to plug the jacks from her ears into surfaces to listen, but what makes Jiro stand out is her ability to utilize her heartbeat with soundwaves. Sometimes Quirks in-universe also seem to affect someone mentally, so I'm sure you can understand how surprised I am to see how little cardiophilia anything there is out there, as Jiro could be portrayed as a closet cardiophile.

The Dragon Ball franchise: You might be a bit surprised to see this listed, you're probably not interested in stething most characters. But there are some who could be put in more cardiophilia content, most notably the female characters, such as Android 18, Bulma or Android 21. My Hero is more lacking in cardiophilia content than Dragon Ball - I have seen some stories but they're either lacking in number, in varieties or both.

Video Games

Minecraft: Yep, that's right, you read it correctly. I said Minecraft. Though you're not gonna find me or really a lot of people looking up Minecraft fanfics featuring Steve x Alex or Herobrine or a popular MC YouTuber. The only things I have in mind, really, when it comes to 'Minecraft Cardiophilia' is either animations or a cardiophile mod for Minecraft - A concept which I honestly believe would be enjoyable and all around worth playing with. If there's anybody out there who's a cardiophile and knows how to make Minecraft mods, it'd be pretty damn cool if you considered the idea of making a cardiophile mod I can one day download and install.

ReShade Help 🌟

Okay so a very sweet sim builder, SimLicy, made mention of my dove reshade in a recent video (thx @cowplant-pizza for telling me bc i was v confused as to why i was getting so many reshade questions all of a sudden XD) and lots of people seemed to be having issues with downloading it.

I didn’t wanna spam the dash and I wanted to make something that could answer everybody’s questions all at once, but be more effective than written instructions. Soooo, I made a long ass video tutorial!! (highly recommend watching on actual youtube, there’s timestamps there XD)

In the video I walk you through how to install versions 3.0.8 , 3.4.1 , and 4.7.0 of reshade, and how to get my presets running in each of them! I try to go as in-depth as possible and give tips and explanations on how to handle errors and whatnot. The instructions are given with my presets in mind, but they’re more than likely applicable to other presets as well!

It’s April 11, and today marks one year since I discovered Fugou Keiji Balance Unlimited on Twitter 😌

“Daisuke” was trending and I thought it was another Kpop thing (LOL cuz in my country the only things that always trend are Kpop-related), until I clicked on it and saw that it was a new anime. They were all thirst tweets like damn, and they were all so hilarious, and it wasn’t until I saw Daisuke’s edit with Cardi B’s Money that I got sucked into watching the anime, the first episode of which was just released the night before.

When I watched the edit I was like “Wow this man’s grace... this man’s beauty...” My issues got even worse when I learned that the reason why the title says “unlimited” is that his fvcking bank account is unlimited 😭😭

And mind you I have not watched anime for years now bc of ✨college✨

I went to YouTube to watch the opening song cuz ppl were going crazy for it, and bc ppl were saying stuff like he has a fiancé, and yeah damn the OP was lit, and then I saw it.. The sofa with ML carrying this “mysterious” girl. LMAO I was like “Ok nice we have this FL, he’s taken thank gohd” bc tbh I really wanted him to be taken already, better yet, with that gorgeous girl. I commented on the video saying “I hope his fiancé or whateva is rich... I also hope she’s badass, so she doesn’t have a bad ending.” LMAOO

That was the very first time in my life I dedicated my life into a certain anime, like frfr all I could think about the whole week after the first episode was that, and every morning after I wake up from my 3-hour nap I’d open my iPad, go to YT and watch the OP. 😌😂

Episode 2 came about and the girl has finally been revealed. Now this.. this was the time things started to get difficult, firstly because the studio decided to postpone further episode release, secondly, the debate about the girl being a fiancé, sibling, cousin, adopted, sweet home Alabama started and ppl were getting more and more... aggressive with it, bc on Twitter a lot of ppl really shipped the 2 ML together, while there were a very few ppl contradicting the idea that the girl is merely “family,” and that she could be smth else.

Every time I’d open Twitter all I’d see are these ppl bashing her and wanting the 2 ML together etc... Meanwhile here I was, part of the very few who wasn’t convinced that they’d downplay her into becoming “family” or “relative” and whatnot, most especially bc we knew her place in the novel (thank gohd I saw tweets abt her and the novel), and I was looking for some support, which I unfortunately did not find bc the aggressive ppl would bash on whoever opposed them.

Even on fvcking Instagram there were still bashers. The only time they won’t bash is if the content is purely abt Suzue herself. Even then there would still be ppl questioning her real identity, but they’d be overshadowed by the fujos/fudans.

Fortunately someone on Instagram snitched, saying there were “worse” ppl in tumblr shipping FL and ML tgt. And then I knew it was a sign to download the app and revive my account 😂

I’m so glad to have met the first 2 ppl ( @innovativestruggles @kannra21 ✨✨😍)with their dissertation, and damn those were the best times I ever had. I read every post made, and the one that really stuck with me until now was the facial feature comparison between Daisuke and Suzue, and SHEEEESSSHH she really pointed out the good- the BEST stuff. They also covered the OP, bc it had a lot of Suzue in it, and the speculations were *chefs kiss* 😊

During the hiatus I had no FKBUL food from the official source, but y’all on tumblr sustained me. Idek what happened to the person who tried translating the novel anymore.

I remember when the anime came back with episode 3, and every after episode we’d talk and giggle abt it, post abt it, heck get mad, and even though they were whack in the end, well, we had together.

I know what you’re all thinking. “What the h happened to Riverview?” CAS. I got bored with remaking Sims. So, I decided to take a break from it for a bit and return to a world that I have always liked.

A long time ago, when players still got together and shared stories and builds and whatnot on actual sites dedicated for just that purpose, there was a site called the Sims Crossing. No lie! And the three administrators did a renovation of Twinbrook that they called Banyan Bend. (They even made 2 videos over on Youtube about it.) They added an industrial area, some more roads and lots out in the swamp, and made a few changes to the main town area. Overall, they did a pretty good job, although if I were to have done it, there are a few things I would have done differently. But such is life. They also made some extra lots that players could download and add to the town – both community and residential.

The first time I downloaded this world, I played it exactly as they had created it – Sim families and all. But then I thought, “I can do better!” (Modest, much?) So I proceeded to “fix” things. See! Even way back when, I was “fixing” things.

Anyway, when you load this world, the only lots that come with it, are the Ambitions’ rabbitholes. The rest you have to add – or make – on your own. These are a few pictures of what you get.

So, when you load this world, there is nothing down by the beach. Just this empty space. But luckily for me, Lily from Lily’s Sim Antics once got the notion to remake Twinbrook and redid a couple of lots before she got bored. Sounds a lot like me!

One was the beach – which you see here. She did a nice job, but since I can never leave anything alone, I “fixed” it. Mostly I added some crap from later EPs – like that lifeguard chair – and the beach yoga mats from Sandy. I also switched out some stuff for different versions. Like the firepit. She used a basegame one, while I used Sandy’s Stone Age one, since it looks like something you make from debris you found on a beach. Plus, inside the lighthouse – which was empty – I added some soda machines, a couple of arcade games, and then fog emitters to get seagulls down on the beach. Easy fix!

Then, I hopped over to the diner lot that came with the world. (Shown above). It’s so-so, but Lily made a much nicer one. 

I did change out some stuff on this lot too – like those bumpers at the end of the “track.” I used some from cyclonesue. Then I switched out the edging around the flowerbeds to little rocks. And I added fog emitters so that I could have pigeons. And spawners so that there would be ants.

the threat. A quite powerful weapon.

“ Okay, I’ll just not hug or cuddle with you for a week. “

you shrug and cross your arms while looking out the window

of course he wanted those warm cuddles so he let you pay just this time

you pull up your wallet and open it

you were finding a certain credit card

soobin's pout disappeared and was replaced by almost a choke

he lands his eyes on your wallet and chokes on nothing when seeing the thickness of your wallet and the amount of bills and cards in it

you raise your brow at him while giving him your credit card

after paying and getting your orders

Hi! do you happen to know where to find wynonna earp bts videos for free? like the ones that syfy has for each episode, the long ones, not the ones they publish on ig. I know that they are available if you download the app, but it's geoblocked.

hey, so there were usually two separate bts videos for each episode - the one that came with the digital season pass (youtube, itunes etc) and then the one that syfy put out (it was this version they posted parts of on instagram).

the syfy ones i watched on their youtube channel via a vpn because they're geoblocked for me too. but they weren't very easy for me to find links for with being outside the us/canada and whatnot, so i don't know if i'm really the best person to ask?

Y’all aren’t paying enough attention to Tundra Fight School. It’s this really cool vr game that mimicks a martial arts school and a ton of other stuff like throwing knives, sticks and whatnot. The main dev, and the community in general actually, are really nice! The main developer, Tundra, has a Youtube channel where he posts update videos or just general videos about the game. A link to a download for TFS is easily found on the Discord, and I really recommend checking the server out! It isn’t very active, but the people there are always open to talk! (Especially the dev, which is rare to say the least) This game is the first thing in a long time that actually makes me want to work out regularly, I hope it can do the same for someone who follows me and has vr.
