RIP, #RicOcasek. To say that @TheCars (the #NewWave band he formed with @Benjamin_Orr_The_Cars, with Ocasek as #LeadVocalist, #RhythmGuitarist, and #Songwriter) produced some of the most influential music of its era (1976-1988) would be putting it mildly. Thanks to the band’s mix of #SynthPop and #GuitarRock with #PunkMinimalism, The Cars climbed the charts, until they positively soared with advent of @MTV; resulting in their induction into the @RockHall’s Class of 2018, last year.
