Bit of trivia, Lily Collins as Clary Fray was the visual inspiration for Gazelle IV in the Themii Series, with Gazelle's usual attire in series 1-3 being based on the outfit Clary wears during the later parts of Mortal Instruments.

Hi, Kass!
OC creators that have helped me through 2023:
You, @themaradwrites @goldheartedchaoticdisaster and @cecexwrites have probably done the most to help me this year. When branching out into the OC Community, I connected to you all, primarily through the OC Creator Bingo. You have all become good friends to me, inspired me, been lovely commenters (both on my fics and in replying to my comments on yours), introduced me to new fandoms, sent me asks, and talked me through elements of my fics.
@shrinkthisviolet helped me dip my toe back into the Star Wars fandom, which was one of my first and treasured fandoms. I never would have watched the Obi-Wan Kenobi series without her. Lucy Kenobi was probably the first Star Wars OC that I read.
@come-along-pond and @the-time-lord-oracle have helped me (whether they knew it or not) by getting back into reading Doctor Who fanfiction, revisiting one of my favorite Doctors, and inspiring me to create my own OC for the fandom, which has made the 60th Anniversary of our show even better.
I have had some amazing fics by you all and still have more that I want to read from you.
OC fics of others that helped make 2023 a little better:
Shatterpoint series by shrinkthisviolet
Prince of Ruin by cecexwrites
The Designated Driver Series by the-time-lord-oracle
The Themii Series by the-time-lord-oracle
Guardians of the Galaxy: Remix by themaradwrites
MEMORIES by come-along-pond
Safe & Sound by arrthurpendragon
bad boy (no more) series by @avatarskywalker78
OCs of others that made 2023 not so crummy:
Lucy Kenobi (shrinkthisviolet)
Coco Selwyn (cecexwrites)
Elaine Barnes (AvatarSkywalker78)
Nicky Connors (AvatarSkywalker78)
Shareen Costello (the-time-lord-oracle)
Gazelle (the-time-lord-oracle)
Riley Black (themaradwrites)
Casey Carlisle (themaradwrites)
Poppy Watcher (come-along-pond)
Project some love into 2024 for another OC creator or fic:
I am hoping in 2024 that @munstysmind gets to revisit her Hawaii Five-0 story and that @millie-55 will have more time to write.
As for myself, I am hoping to get back to neglected OC stories Is This Love? and Never Knew. I had some burnout and writer's block in the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai fandom, but I'm hoping to overcome it in 2024. Julie and Alyssa deserve to have their stories told and finished, though I doubt they'll be finished by this time next year. And I would like to start posting Molly's story and writing Violet's.
@themaradwrites
@goldheartedchaoticdisaster
@cecexwrites
@arrthurpendragon
@shrinkthisviolet
@come-along-pond
@the-time-lord-oracle

Gazelle arguing the toss with Rocastle in The Family of Blood:
The headmaster and the school bursar moved to the door but Martha ran up and blocked their way. "No, it's not safe out there." she protested.
"Mr Smith, it seems your favourite servant is giving me advice." Mr Rocastle sneered. "You will control her, sir."
They made to leave again, but Gazelle barred their way. "No, he won't." she told the headmaster bluntly. "And you are gonna shut up and listen to me. These enemies are not like those you faced in your stupid colonial wars. They are more powerful and dangerous than you can possibly imagine. Going out there would be suicide."
"I was a solider, Mrs Smith," Mr Rocastle replied loftily, too full of self-importance to listen to reason, "I can take care of myself." And with that, he and Mr Philips stepped past her and made for the door.
Gazelle could only throw her hands up dismay. How this pompous, self-opinionated idiot ever became headmaster was beyond her comprehension.

As author of the Themii series, I found it funny that Sunday's BAFTAs featured both David Tennant and Lily Collins. It means that I actually got to see the 10th Doctor and Gazelle IV together in a manner of speaking.

Flying Scotsman at the 1924 British Empire Exhibition at Wembley. I made reference to the loco's appearance at the exhibition in one chapter of the Themii Series, where I revealed that the Doctor and Gazelle once took Rose to the exhibition.
"1851. Nice year. Bit dull." the Doctor remarked.
"It's not so bad." Gazelle retorted. "They had the Great Exhibition this year."
"Well, yeah." the Doctor shrugged. "Not as good as the 1924 Wembley exhibition, though."
"You're only saying that 'cos Flying Scotsman was there." Gazelle shook her head at him.

How a certain moment in The Giggle could go in the Themii Series:
"The show is just beginning." the Toymaker said. "Worldwide premiere. Donna Noble, this is for you. Let me tell you what happened when the Doctor and Gazelle, they were leaving you. They met eine friend called Amy Pond." He produced a puppet wearing the clothes Amy Pond had worn during her last adventure with the Time Lords.
"And Rory, her husband." Gazelle pointed out.
"Ja, und Rory Vliliams." the Toymaker corrected. "Und they went to and fro in time und space, but... Amy Pond and Rory Villiams were touched by der Weeping Angel, und they died!" He cut the Amy puppet's strings and it fell to the floor.
"They died of old age." the Doctor said.
"Well, that's alright, then!" the Toymaker snarked. He then revealed a puppet wearing the clothes Clara Oswald had worn during her last adventure with the Time Lords. "Und then they was meeting Clara. Ooo! But she was killed by a bird." He cut the Clara puppet's strings.
"She still survives in her last second of life." the Doctor pointed out.
"Well, that's alright, then!" the Toymaker snarked. "But then the Doctor und Gazelle met Bill." He produced a puppet wearing the clothes Bill Potts had worn during her last adventure with the Time Lords. "Not Stooky Bill, but lady Bill. But she was killed by the Cybermen." He cut the Bill puppet's strings.
"But her consciousness survives." the Doctor reminded.
"Oh, well, that's alright, then!" the Toymaker rolled his eyes.
"Ah, but Nardole, Graham, Ryan, Yaz and Dan are all very much alive and well." Gazelle pointed out.
The Toymaker ignored her. "Und then there came the Flux." He dangled down several models of planets on strings. "Oh, Donna Noble, the poor Doctor." He cut the planets' strings. "The Flux was killing everything."

A possible way things between Gazelle and Donna could go in The Star Beast:
"I remember it all, Donna." Gazelle said. "Everything we did together, I remember it like it was yesterday. I'm so glad you're back 'cos it killed me. I could never quite forgive myself for what happened to you."
"It wasn't your fault, Gazelle." Donna reassured her. "It was that stupid pepper pot thing that shot you."
"Yes, but if I hadn't have put my energy into that hand..."
"Look, Gazelle, there's no point in brooding over what if's." Donna said. "And we can have more days, now can't we? I mean, why is it such a big goodbye with you two? Why is it one last trip? 'Cos you could visit with the family."
"Hmm, not a bad idea." Gazelle nodded, considering this.
"We could do outrageous things, like have tea, or dinner, and a laugh." Donna continued. "And Rose's school play. Well, maybe not that. She can't act. She's terrible. I don't know how to tell her."
"Ah, well, as parents we just can't bring ourselves to criticise." Gazelle laughed. "Yes, d'ya know, I think me and my husband got our old faces back so that we could all have another chance. I mean, it's been centuries for me and the Doctor, but whenever I think back, I always remember our travels with you, Rose and Martha the most."
"So embrace it." Donna encouraged. "You can do things differently this time. So why don't you do something completely new, and have some friends?"
"Oh, we've got friends, Donna." Gazelle replied. "There was someone travelling with us quite recently, Yaz. She's started a little group where all our old friends get together. I've popped in a few times, met them all."
"Hmm, bet they've got some funny stories to tell." Donna smirked.
"Oh, that they have!" Gazelle laughed. "Oh, I've missed you, Donna. You were like a sister to me. It's just so great to have you back."

Gazelle having a conference with several RTD-era companions in Cold Blood:
Inside the TARDIS, Gazelle was standing at the console, contacting several former companions on the subwave network. First to come on screen was Martha Milligan-Jones. "Gazelle? Good to see ya again!" she grinned.
"Likewise." Gazelle smiled. "How ya doing Martha? Everything alright with Tom?"
"Well, just got good news. I'm pregnant."
"Oh, Martha, that's brilliant news!" Gazelle grinned. "Congratulations."
Just then, Mickey Smith came on screen. "Gazelle. How's things? I'm guessin' this ain't a social call."
"I wish it was, Mickey." Gazelle replied. "Just waiting for the others to get in touch. How's life treating ya?"
"Ah, not too bad." Mickey replied. "Been a bit quiet lately. Alien seem to be givin' us a break for once."
Next to appear on screen was Sarah Jane Smith. "Hello? Gazelle? Is that you?"
"Yep, it's me alright." the Time Lady acknowledged. "Good to see ya again, Sarah Jane. Keeping up the good work, I presume? How's Luke?"
"He's fine." Sarah Jane replied. "He's off to college soon."
"Ah, kids, they grow up so fast." Gazelle smiled, remembering her own son.
Then the final contact came though; Captain Jack Harkness. "Ah, the face of a royal beauty." he said in his usual way. "Long time no see, Gaz."
"You too, flirt boy." Gazelle replied. "And you know that talk doesn't work on me, I'm a married woman."
"So, now we're all here, wos' the emergency?" Mickey asked.
"Right, down to business." Gazelle said. "Now this is gonna sound like a stupid question, but have any of you noticed strange cracks in walls lately? And by strange, I mean cracks that're shaped like jagged W's and have a glowing light coming out of them?"
The group all seemed to know what she was talking about. "Yes, I've seen one in the wall at the end of my road." Sarah Jane said.
"There's one in one of the walls of a house a few doors down from me." Martha added.
"And I've been seeing 'em all over the place." Mickey chimed in.
"Me too." Jack finished. "And since you're asking about 'em, I'm guessing they're trouble?"
"Serious trouble." Gazelle replied grimly. "You've all confirmed our worst suspicions. Those cracks are splits in the skin of the universe. You all need to be extra careful with those cracks. The smaller ones don't do much harm, they act like rifts or wormholes, but the bigger ones are very serious. They bleed out time energy that erases anyone or anything it consumes. That's why all your friends and neighbours can't remember the Dalek invasion, the time energy consumed it."
"So why can WE still remember that?" Martha asked. "Is it cos we've travelled in the TARDIS?"
"Yes, time travelling gives ya a degree of protection from the energy's memory-altering effects, but only up to a point. If anyone you know gets consumed, you'll never remember them." Gazelle said, subconsciously touching the pocket where she'd put Amy's ring box.
"But how're these cracks appearing in the first place?" Sarah Jane asked.
"An' is there any way to plug 'em?" Mickey added.
"We think that the cracks were caused by an enormous explosion that splintered all of time and space." Gazelle told them. "We still don't know what caused that explosion yet, but the Doctor's managed to recover something from one of the cracks. Maybe it'll tell us more. As for plugging 'em... if it's a small crack, then opening the crack all the way with a sonic device will cause the forces to invert and the crack to snap shut. As for the larger ones, they're trickier, as it takes stuffing them with complicated events to seal them. Sarah Jane, could ya get Mr Smith to see if he can get some more data on the cracks and try and find a way to seal them all?"
"Yes, I'll do that right away." Sarah Jane nodded.
"Meanwhile, I'd advise you all to be cautious." Gazelle told them all. "If ya see one of these cracks, stay away from it. We don't wanna lose anyone else to them."

How the plane scene in The Bells of St. John might play out with Gazelle there:
"Come on!" the Doctor said, dashing to the doors.
"Are we going back out there?!" Clara stared, remembering the plane coming straight for them.
"We've moved. She's a spaceship, we flew away." the Doctor told her.
"Away from the plane?" Clara asked.
"Not exactly." Gazelle replied as the Doctor opened the doors and they stepped out into the aisle of the very plane that was bearing down on the Maitland's street.
"How did we get HERE?!" Clara stared.
"It's the TARDIS. Disappears there, reappears here." Gazelle replied as she and the Doctor struggled along the aisle towards the flight deck, while the plane rocked and rolled from the turbulence.
"Is this the plane, the actual plane?" Clara blustered, then she saw that the passengers were all slumped out cold in their seats. "Are they dead?"
"Asleep, switched off by the Wi-Fi." the Doctor replied, checking the vitals of one of the passengers.
"But they will be dead if we can't get this plane out of the dive." Gazelle added grimly as she hurried towards the front of the plane. Upon reaching the flight deck door, she unlocked it with her sonic screwdriver and hurried in to find that the flight crew were out cold too, while the plane's instruments were going haywire. The Doctor tumbled in behind her and ended up between the unconscious crew.
"What is going on?" Clara blustered as she joined them. "Is this real? Please tell me what is happening!"
"I'm the Doctor, and this is my wife, Gazelle." the Doctor said hurriedly. "We're aliens from outer space, I'm 1,000 years old and I can't fly a plane. Can you?"
"No!" Clara screeched.
"Just pull back on the yoke and get the nose up!" Gazelle urged her husband, speed-reading through the quick reference handbook.
The Doctor reached out and grabbed one of the control yokes, then he pulled it back as much as he could. Behind him, Clara screamed as the plane levelled off, missed the rooftops of the houses on the Maitland's street by mere feet and climbed skywards again. The Doctor laughed in relief at the close shave. "Do you think a victory roll would be too show-off-y?" he asked flippantly.
"Yes, it would." Gazelle snorted, pulling a circuit breaker to disable the rogue Wi-Fi. "Leave that stunt flying lark to the Red Arrows."
Just then, the flight crew stirred and regained consciousness. "What the hell's going on?!" the captain stared as he saw the three strangers on his flight deck.
"Well, we're blocking your Wi-Fi, so you're waking up for a start." the Doctor told him. "Tell ya what," he went on, patting both the captain and first officer on the shoulders, "do you wanna drive?"
"Oh, by the way, Heathrow's that way." Gazelle added, pointing out of the windscreen.
