the idea of hawke dying in the last straw; fun and dramatic, kirkwall and the narrative consuming every last part of them. cant happen bc the whole game is cassandra trying to Find them but could have been fun

hawke dying in the fade; didn't live up to it's potential, only put there to get tears out of ppl already fans of the series, makes me feel nothing but frustrated

#ama mumbles #dragon age inquisition critical #also if they kept to the idea of killing off varric it would mean both eurydice and orpheus are dead by the end! fun!#and no one will ever know the true story in it's completion other than those two and now theyre both gone.#you dont get to know for sure what was fabrication and what wasn't #i know my most popular post (somehow) is about leaving alistair to die in the fade #but it feels at least fitting in an overall narrative sense. leaving hawke just feels like. nothing. to me.#ppl who can feel joy at leaving hawke in the fade are stronger than me. if i left a hawke in the fade id headcanon it #as the inquisitor literally murdering them via demon more than anything #they hate hawkes vibes and use it as an excuse to just get rid of them #hawkes mythos is ultimately about the last straw. yeah the invasion was a very big moment but only for kirkwall.#it's them being involved with kick starting the rebellion that brings them to a world wide scale. effects how ppl see them #them dying would just cement them in myth. not a person anymore their struggle meant nothing. theyre just a story now
