The Law may be Blind, but She can still Smell...

It was early in the morning on a non-class day, and Meenah was tired as usual. Her previous roomie liked to get up and get going in the morning, but the teen heiress was firmly against that as well as firmly pressed against her mattress. She could get up - it’s not like the task was impossible - but there was also the point of having to put on pants if she got up and went down to the dorm kitchens for food. That is, she’d have to if she was hungry, a minor impediment that she could fix as she opened a bleary eye to peek at the pack of cigarettes on her nightstand.

Huffing and rolling her shoulders against her now adequately warped pillow, the Peixes sighed as she propped herself up on one elbow to look around her room - empty, silent - before sitting up properly, bleary eyes blinking away quickly fading remnants of dreams in the near quiet room. A room that was once filled with noise and laughter all hours of the day. Admitting Meenah missed her old roommate was hard for her - they’d only been around each other for a few months before Roxy’s transfer - especially because she wasn’t sure how she really felt about the situation. Roxy had been there through a lot with Meenah, and there was this throbbing feeling at the back of her chest cavity - the kind of thump that felt like the beat of a drum, slowly thrumming through her body - that left the teen heiress wondering if she was at fault. She could be, there was no denying that Meenah had done some shitty things before, but never to Roxy. And the itch left her feeling… Cold?

Huffing and shaking her head to rid herself of such stupid thoughts, the teen heiress stood herself up, grabbing her smokes and her lighter as she walked into the main seating area of her dorm room. Lighting a smoke she had pinched between her teeth, Meenah propped the window open and she let the dirty smoke fill her lungs until it ached a bit, exhaling slowly as her eyes fell into half lids at the easing sensation of nicotine. She’d have kept nursing her smoke and sitting there on the windowsill in just her boxers and sports bra, but the loud thump of something heavy being dropped had the teen Peixes inhaling sharply, causing her to choke on smoke and stumble as she pocketed her contraband cigarettes and looked at the intrusion on her private moment.
