started that hawkeye show on eli's recommendation and I have got to say. it is not very good 😭 but the main girlie is pretty enough for me to ignore how absolutely atrocious the dialogue and sound mixing is for at least one more episode

What type of gin do you prefer?

Tanqueray is my go-to London Dry; it's a classic for a reason, I have a certain affection for heavy juniper lean, and you can't beat the price tag

The Botanist is probably my favourite Dry, Aviation's decent too

Collective Arts always does neat stuff with their flavoured gins, though I find they're a bit hit or miss

gotta shout out Georgian Bay, too, their London Dry is pretty good and I'm a sucker for a Cranberry Gin Smash on a lake day

I remember the first time I read 'You and Me.' Its such a wonderfully random basis for a fic. And it plays out in such a delightfully funny and sweet story that still brings a smile to my face with every re-read. -- I really like this line from ch 1: "It’s the moment you realize you want to know what it’s like to kiss her."

Y&M was so random i wasn’t sure if it would be too silly to work, but it was also delightfully fun to write XD. Pining lexa is A+ material to work with.

Buffalo can jump 6 feet.. as in horizontally or vertically? Because to be honest, I'm not sure which would scare the living crap out of me more.

American Buffalo/Bison* can jump SIX FEET VERTICALLY. The number sticks in my mind, because driving around the parks & national forests in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem where I lived/worked, there are SO MANY TOURISTS standing five feet away from bison taking selfies, separated only by a short fence. People think they’re like cows, but they’re straight-up BEASTS. And they don’t need a running start to clear 6 feet either, they can basically walk into the jump.

And they’re pretty fast! I just double-checked, because this is less SEARED INTO MY BRAIN as the 6 feet factoid, but they can hit 40mph. 

They’re yet another animal that more humans (tourists) aren’t getting hurt by SIMPLY because they can’t be arsed to hurt us most of the time, but they are nowhere NEAR as slow and lumbering as they look!

Anyway, general reminder for anyone still reading this: the recommended MINIMUM distance is 25 yards from large animals like bison/moose/elk (100 yards minimum from predators like bears and wolves), and if a herd is coming down the road, for all that is good and holy in this world STAY IN YOUR CAR, don’t get out and try to take pics as they trot by!!

And also do your best not to crowd them with your car: they can and have rammed cars and then calmly walked away, and your car ain’t winning in that scenario.

OH MAN I MISS LIVING IN A PLACE WHERE I GET TO TALK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME!!!!!

I submitted a claim to Amazon. We’ll see how that goes. I also managed to find all of the other stories on AO3. It turns out the person who stole them hadn’t bothered to change anything - titles, descriptions all the same. I commented on each story to let people know. Hopefully they’ll see it and follow up as well.
