"He goes. You stay."

The choice offered leaves you breathless. The tone in his voice shifts, commanding complete control over you. It grips your heart and keeps a tight hold on it. Despite knowing your situation, he makes it seem like you have options to consider.

But you're the hero of this game, aren't you? He already knows your answer.

Your gaze drops to your other half. The little cat who is clinging onto your leg for his dear life. His body shakes, and trembles as he looks up at you with pleading eyes.

"Please..." Grim whimpers. "You don't hafta do it!"

As far as you're aware, Idia hasn't put him through any dangerous tests. Grim was kept to simple ones and allowed rest in between. He was even fed premium tuna. But tests were still tests and the small feline could only be put through so much. Especially when he was kept in a room with little to no access to the outside world. All he had were the employees bringing him food or taking him to another room.

Even if he could sleep and eat all the tuna he wants, what would it mean if he was trapped here?

You lift your gaze to meet with darkened yellow eyes. You try to find something, a hint of emotion in them, but there is none.

"And he'll be free?"

"As long as he doesn't lash out again." Idia answers before sighing. "Look, I don't have all day. I've got an event I need to get to, so an answer now would be nice."

You swallow and clench your fists. You keep your eyes on him, firm and steady despite the shattering of your heart.

"What happened to you...?"

The question catches him off guard. He flinches, eyes flicker elsewhere and he returns to normal, if only for a second. But he recovers so quickly it's like you didn't even lay a finger on his HP bar.

"It's just the family business."

You keep your lips in a thin line, careful not to expose your feelings. You bend down to pick up Grim. Prying his claws from your flesh stings, but the pain in your chest feels worse. You hold him against your chest, patting his back as you give him some form of comfort.

"Ace and Deuce will take care of you," you whisper.

"What?! No way! You're the only hench human I need!" Grim cries. His paws reach out to you, claws digging into your shirt and ripping the seams. "Don't stay here with this weirdo! I-I promise I'll study more! And-And not drool on ya when I sleep!" Tears prick at his eyes, desperation clear as day. "You gotta leave with me!"

You let out a weak laugh, one that pains you.

"It won't be forever." You glance at Idia. "Will it?"

"Course not." He answers. "But it will if you take your sweet time."

"I'll do it."

Idia flashes you a wide grin. That's all he needed to hear.

Checkmate.

He snaps his fingers and guards approach you. They apprehend the cat stuck to you. Grim claws at them. He barely leaves a mark on their gear. Instinctively, he takes in a breath to use his signature fire magic on them. But nothing but air comes out. All he can do is pathetically call out your name with the promise of rescuing you.

You shut your eyes and force yourself to stay put. It takes everything in you not to turn around and chase after his voice as it disappears down the hall.

Once silence overtakes you, your eyes open. You meet with Idia, who is now standing before you. His looming height isn't something you're used to. He's always been hunched over, trying to hide from the world. Braving against it isn't what he does. Perhaps it's because he isn't. This is his home after all.

"I kinda wish you hadn't agreed," he mutters. "We finally get to have a cute cat here and now he's gone."

"Then why offer me the exchange?" You prod. "You need to keep an eye on him for testing, don't you?"

"We've found everything we could on him. Any more tests would just produce the same results. He's not going to level up from this." A pause as he meets your gaze for a brief moment. "But we don't know a thing about you. You're an abnormality here and not in the 'isekai protagonist' kinda way. Guess it does count although instead of getting an upgrade you were nerfed."

"What do you mean?"

The question escapes you, but a part of you already knows what he's getting at. It's obvious with the way you pull a hand to your chest and the sharp breath you take. Something swirls in the pit of your stomach, something you know shouldn't.

"A magicless human is already a major downgrade, but one able to accumulate blot is even worse. It's like whoever sent you here put you on nightmare difficulty and capped you at level one."

Hearing it aloud sounds worse than you imagined and confirms your fears. It makes you recall the moment you realized your condition.

A fight amongst the first years broke out. Magic was cast for far too long. Someone like yourself was forced to keep to the sidelines. And that's when you began to feel...disgusting, for a lack of better words.

While others were preoccupied, something began to stab at your chest. Your body felt heavy, and there was a thick feeling in your throat. Coughing and gagging, you had to escape the scene. While you feared seeing red in your hand, instead you saw black.

"I'm guessing you're already aware of it, aren't you?" Idia asks yet you don't dare confirm it. "Maybe it's due to surviving multiple Overblots, but that doesn't make sense. You shouldn't be affected by the excess magic being produced. It could be your body adjusting to this world, but even those without magic don't have a problem here. Another thought would be your connection with Grim."

The last hypothesis makes your heart stop. You didn't want to be the reason for his imprisonment here, not again. Just when he was granted freedom you would be the one to tie him back down.

"For now, we can study you and see when and how this happens. You may have been isekai'd but you don't really seem to be the protagonist of this world."

You remain silent. And when you finally lift your gaze, you see a different person. This isn't the scared gamer who you would spend your days with. The one who you could make obscure references with and he'd get it. Your dear friend who you could escape reality with.

All you can see is the acting director of STYX, Idia Shroud.

THANK YOU for giving me an excuse to publicly ramble about PAPA G AND CHUCK beware of Spoilers within ALSO HERE’S A PIC happy valentines day

When they met and Chuck was still Stuck in the floor, like Post-Chicken-Feed-Missing-Scene, Chuck would be RUDE as HELL to Papa G. But Papa G took it as realizing he’s just A Guy and was like AH MAYBE I SHOULDA BEEN GIVIN HIM REAL FOOD and then he does that, but Chuck is still a bastard to him. Not to The Kid’s knowledge tho, he only found out that Papa G knew about Chuck’s existence in the second episode like we saw.

Papa G literally just looked at Chuck and how Evil he was being at the beginning and was like OH YES WE CAN BE FRIENDS I LIKE THIS GUY cuz he DID save him and want him to be redeemed and have the last ring to be on the team... Papa G’s Immediate Trust.. like if u agree

I like to imagine that Papa G actually did have da iced tea with Chuck to get to know him :] this was Post-Chuck-getting-Cut-in-Half. Papa G is Very Curious about Chuck but Chuck’s still a rude little man at this point and Papa G laughs off his behaviour. Papa G might be f*cked up enough that he does enjoy his company, bad vibes and all

Chuck has NO idea what to make of Papa G here because no one else has ever shown him kindness or wasn’t annoyed at him. It doesn’t stop him from being a force of negativity though cuz at this point he still Believes he’s going to conquer the earth.

This ended up being like a timeline of their relationship and not relationship headcanon UUHH OOPS!!!!!

I’m prepared to be proven wrong but it would be epic if Chuck started calling Papa G “George” because he was there to hear that that is his first name and Papa G like with Tuna Sandwich doesn’t mind being called it, it’s just his name. Also George is my real name and I’d love to hear Chuck say. Also Also George and Charles are gay old man names

Uh oh I’m talking more about timeline stuff but some time after the events of the big showdown and they’re dealing with the fact that Chuck is deciding to stay here on earth, Papa G and The Kid make him his own living space there in the junkyard with them. Not sure where or what it’d look like but it means a lot to Chuck (makes this face -> 🥺) I’d imagine since his species aren’t given their own names / have individuality he wasn’t given a space of his own to do whatever he wanted with

Since they no longer have the rings, Chuck helps Papa G as an extra hand doing work in the yard (Papa G had to get used to doing stuff without being his own company :[ ) and Chuck ACTUALLY LOVES HELPING imagine that one scene where Papa G and Chuck are working together to build the ice cream megaphone truck, they’re both really skilled at building stuff and enjoy it so it’s like that pretty often!

I swear to god Papa G needs to get Chuck a wheelchair / make him one, I want to believe that he does have one and we just didn’t see it at the end of the time skip -_- :prayer: but they totally deck it the hell out (you KNOW Papa G is capable of making deadly death machines and you KNOW Chuck would absolutely love that sh*t!!!!)

Anyway back to the time skip relationship development thing: PAPA G SHOWS CHUCK AROUND HIS HOUSE I wish we knew what inside the house looked like besides the kitchen sink lol but Papa G figured if he’s gonna be around here more often he might as well show him where HE lives! Papa G is SUPER excitedly showing him all the weird stuff he’s accumulated over his lifetime. Chuck doesn’t Get the specialness of physical possessions and calls it Junk but Papa G doesn’t mind! He shows things and Chuck is confused about certain things (being an Alien) and Papa G is happy to explain everything to him.

Papa G shares Chuck his art and is showing him painting ;_; once again Chuck is a bastard and doesn’t totally get it. Papa G would definitely call HIM an artist, pointing out that all the building that Chuck does is artwork, those comics that he spent all that time reading was him appreciating the art, and that changes the way he views it. Chuck makes his own dam comics, I’d imagine the way he’d draw is very unique and the text is written in his language, and then it’s Papa G who doesn’t totally get it but is ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT IT!!!

Also Papa G totally takes Chuck out to the middle of nowhere to go look for junk, this is probably Chuck’s Least Favourite Activity LOL but they do spend a lot of time talking about anything, I’m really curious about what the kind of things they’d even say when they’re not faced with any threat and are only with each other *looks up at the sky in thought..*

Chuck please go off about your previous life away from earth I feel like as soon as he came here he kinda just accepted himself being Stuck Chuck and therefore had no attachment to being a nameless body in an alien army. Also Papa G please open up about your messed up secret history that warranted the government keeping tabs on you and made you live almost completely isolated.

See^ I think whatever they got going on on a DEEP LEVEL could be wild and would have so much to unravel, Chuck’s life before this was probably just 90% seeing various people DIE and was simply made to Kill people for his leader. And. you KNOW Papa G has something Messed Up about him + Is Traumatized / got “bad flashbacks” + the whole seeing himself die and being numb to it. And now that they are people who are trying to save lives on their team they could Relate to each other as the two older guys with UNKNOWN HISTORY!!!!

UUUUH OK SO SHIP HEADCANONS RIGHT. RIGHT. They hold hands :] they rarely kiss it’s mostly Papa G who kisses Chuck on the face but Chuck is forbidden from kissing unless Papa G wants to go to sleep. Also Chuck likes to be held by Papa G, they hug a lot :D Papa G takes Chuck out to the diner and gets him everything he wants <3 they go to the house and watch movies and Kid joins them too as a family ;_; Papa G goes to sleep in his god forsaken hammock with Chuck, and Chuck is like So This Is Your Weird-Ass Cocoon Huh and Papa G is like HAHA YUP and its sweet.

IM GOING CRAZY

I was grieving from when security brief came out and I'm so sorry to those who follow me I have made nothing at all sorryy

Anyways, here is a fat lore dump that I made up concerning Bonnie and Foxy and where they are because I want them to be at least somewhere:

So Bonnie is put away due to damages and is replaced by Monty. He is fixed and was planned to go back but Monty was gaining more attention than Bon so Bonnie is just left in storage with no plan of ever getting him out. ( They decided not to lead the bowling because charging him would just take up more power and they didn't wanna pay for him) They moved him to a separate storage facility where old parts and unused animatronic lay unused. That is until the Fazbear company decides to expand their company and make smaller complexes which they called the the Fazbear Friends that scattered the state. One of those complexes is where Bonnie is relocated along with another classic member, Foxy, and three more named Otto the Otter and Disaster twins: Mimi and Maxie the tigers.

They were located to a decently sized bowling alley where they only had a stage and a mini arcade. Bonnie was the lead guitarist and singer, Otto was bass, Foxy was drums and Mimi and Maxie were keyboard but also played a bunch of other instruments if needed. Their introduction was a success and out of all the smaller locations; theirs became popular due to the use of animatronics instead of performers or mascots and having 2 of the original characters: Bonnie and Foxy.

Because of their popularity, the bowling alley grew bigger, leading it to be renovated to at least one third of the mega complex. They had their own stations now, Bonnie becoming the bowling mascot like he was in the Megaplex, also becoming part of the growing arcade and was the one to introduce guests.

Foxy and Otto became a duo, their station was called Dark Oceans and they were placed on a broken ship that lay in the middle of a mini water park. There, Otto and Foxy would do skits, sing songs (most probably some edgy stuff since their outfits turned to more punk and metal themes) or join the kids in the pool to teach them to swim since both were waterproof. Otto is the one to teach them tho, since his model and programming was designed specifically swimming. Foxy can too but his original design isn't that good for swimming. He's a lifeguard tho.

Mimi and Maxie get their own place called the mini Jungle, a play area that was mostly on the roof and you had to climb most of the time. Their place expanded over most of the bowling ally though. The complex plan was to use these tubes to explore the complex so that kids could have fun viewing areas. They go almost everywhere, into the kitchen, backstage, and even into pirate splash where the mini water park is stationed. Not all the tubes are accessed through the Jungle area though, some entrances being outside the area, highlighted with the faces of Mimi and Maxie.

They perform on the stage together from time to time.

Eventually more animatronics come in, Moley, Rolly, and Poley the penguins that work with bonnie for bowling (he uses them as Bowling balls) or Foxy as extra actors. They are also mini security. There are Kiwi the kiwi, Tuna the monkey, and Polly parrot that live and stay in the jungle area.

Then there is tinker the lightbulb Hunny the lop and hooty the owl that live in the library, the quietest place in the whole complex. The walls make sure you hear nothing of the rest of the place and is somewhere you can go for injuries or just to drain out when the action becomes too much. Tinker and Hooty help with the books, Tinker being a walking lightbulb with a suit that reads aloud to kids and Hooty is a monitor for the system, with full 360 view. Hunny is the nurse who speaks very quietly. You can never hear when Tinker or Hunny are walking so be aware lol. No performing animatronics are allowed inside the library and vice versa.

All the animatronics are aware that they work under the fazbear company and that the mascot, freddy is a bear but thats it. Sadly, Bonnie's memories had been wiped due to the damage he took and because of that, his drive had been completely wiped. Now, he only recognizes freddy as the mascot of where they work at. Foxy was supposed to be part of the megaplex gang but his concept was too stuck to him and didnt fit the standard so they had scrapped him. He was already built tho but was set to stay in storage. Because of the opening of miniplexes and didn't need to stay within the theme that much, he was free to stay as foxy the pirate along with some new adjustments. Bonnie and Foxy stay pretty much the same as to whatever the fandom gave them before. Same characters, just different memory and outfits. Otto is the biggest of the animatronics and he mostly talks in this australian accent but it also sounds like hes really high. Hes a chill animatronic and does a lot as Foxy's first mate, teaching kids how to swim, entertaining them and what not. Hes a quick swimmer and can get to any area of the mini water Park in a matter of seconds if there is any water leading there.. His huge size is so that he can carry many children at a time.. Mimi and Maxie act as surveillance for the kids but cause more trouble than good. They are sneaky as hell and like to spook the adults with the help of the kids. From an adults perspective thay are devils but to kids they are super nice and funny. Tinker is a weird one and has a soothing voice, he has a screen on his stomach where he reads the books from and his tie is like one of those pull down light switches. Hunny is a soft spoken Lop bunny who very silent, shes reserved and doesn't speak unless she feels like it. Her ears are made of soft and fluffy yet stretchy and durable material that is used to calm kids down if they are crying. They can warm up and cool down and her soft voice music to the ears. Hooty has no personality and just stands in as more of a security system with a 360 turning head. They're quick to catch things like injuries, emotions, and can anything on a person physically. They have some insanse hearing but they cant detect Tinker or Hunny because they are so quiet. Kiwi, Tuna, and Polly more or less just act like regular kids and Moley, Rolly, and Poley only squack to speak role around. They act like those cute penguins you see at aquariums that do tricks.

The bowling alley has had no incidents and is overall just a regular complex.

How they first met: It was a long time ago when they were first accepted to join the Hoenn League. Wallace saw Steven and immediately wanted to be friends with him. Steven was taken aback by Wallace’s personality and it took him a while to get used to it. They became really fast friends afterwards.

Where their first date was: They’ve had a lot of friend dates over the years of their friendships, so they pretty much went all over. They’ve seen it all. However, their first official date as romantic partners was super sweet. They had taken a nice long vacation down in Alola to get away from responsibilities and just relax. They’ve been there before pre-relationship, so they’ve pretty much done everything. But this time was so new, so different because they’re romantic partners now.

When they had their first kiss: It was definitely pre-relationship, like definitely in their early 20s. Wallace and Steven had just come back from an event. Steven was tired but Wallace was still full of energy. They were just chatting and honestly one thing led to another, they were smoochin’. For Wallace, it was any other thing. He was used to smooching his friends so he didn’t mind or care. Steven was a bit more conservative with his affections, so it was very awkward for him and he honestly stayed up very late trying to figure out why they were making out. He still doesn’t know why till this day.

Who cooks: They both share the task! Neither are fantastic at it, but they aren’t shit at it. They could probably beat out any PTA mom’s tuna casserole that’s for sure.

Who proposed: Wallace and Steven both talked about marriage and proposal that they ended up turning it into a game of “who can propose first”. Unfortunately, Steven lost that game. Wallace proposed to Steven in a very Wallace-extravagant way. And with rocks. Lots, and lots of rocks. Steven was crying and hugging the rocks while smoochin’ his man.

The dominant one: Both. Although Wallace is vers if we’re implying this in… Other ways… Heh.

Their favorite pass time together: They just love spending time with each other, no matter what they’re doing. If they’re in the same room and are both working on two drastically different things just makes them both feel so genuinely happy. They don’t need to go out of their way to always do gushy couple-y stuff 24/7. They’re content just being in the same ROOM as each other.

Who kissed who first: Wallace definitely kissed first (see previous kiss question).

Who is the flirt: Wallace 9000% is the biggest flirt. He likes to amp up his flirtations just to see Steven’s face turn bright red. Wallace thinks it’s super adorable when that happens and just makes him want to smooch Steven even more lol.

Who is the romantic: Wallace out-romantic the romantic of romantics if that even makes sense

Who wakes up first: Steven wakes up first. He tends to wake up super early in the day (usually before dawn or JUST about day break) and prepares a lot of stuff. He makes coffee for Wallace, he makes breakfast, he does a bit of cleaning, checks out his rock collection, feed their Pokemon, etc. Wallace tries to pay Steven back by doing all those, but he can never wake up that early no matter how many alarms he sets.

Who comforts who the most: They’re both pretty much on par with comforting whom. Though maybe Steven a little more since he intuitively knows how Wallace thinks and makes sure that he’s presenting the comfort in a way that fits who Wallace is as a person to ensure that nothing bad happens by accident.

The cuddler: Wallace is a huge cuddler. He loves cuddles.

Ahh… for me it’s doing my skin care routine heh.

Hmm… to cook probably an ahi tuna steak grilled med rare with da kine spicy hawaiian bbq sauce. Ooo now I’m craving it! To order it’s from Corelife and I get the tuna poke and the sriracha tofu salad… 

If you could meet any famous/influential person, living or dead, who would it be and why?

I racked my brain on this and honestly I don’t think there are any that I would fall over myself to meet? Maybe it’s the introvert in me 😅

What is your favourite kind of plant?

Okay plant nerd alert! So I have quite an assortment of indoor/outdoor plants and even though I spend the most time on my lemon tree, my succulents are my favorite! I have quite a few but my coral shaped jade is my favorite. (I’m not sure of it’s actual name)

What is some advice/wisdom you’ve encountered that has stuck with you?

“Don’t be afraid of being afraid” Okay so I used to be deathly afraid of heights and when I started hiking I would flip when it got a little bit steep and tuck tail and run. 1. Who are your idols?

Hmmmm...I’ve always had a lot of admiration for J.R.R Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings books (and movies) have meant so much to me over the years. Plus, I really look up to Michelangelo, Van Gogh, and Artemisia Gentelleschi all inspire me artistically as well as in my personal life.

2. If you could travel anywhere where would you go?

lol is everywhere an option? There are so many countries I want to visit, but if I had to pick just one country, I’d really like to go to Mongolia!

Nothing yet. When I was a kid, I was worried I get in trouble if I had stuff on my walls, and I still haven’t really shaken that worry yet. However, I have a couple of posters and paintings that I want to put up eventually :)

Warning, It’s gonna be pretttyyy longgg so I’m dividing it into two parts.

The sounds of waves crashed against the ship, the sky rumbling with thunder, rain fell like showers and the wind blew so strong that a few barrels flown away.

Whose bright idea was it to look for treasure during this monsoon season?

Of course, you did.

Sane people would stay away from the sea during this season, which means less competitors to hunt for one of the ancient treasures.

The golden goldfish.

As legend said, if you find the golden goldfish, it would poop gold. Unlike normal goldfishes, they lived in dark waters that make their gold scales more prominent. However, it is difficult to find them due to the fact they live in a castle made of solid gold deep under the sea with dangers lurking.

Goldfish or not, if you get some of the treasures from the gold castle.

The things you’ll do with them.

Will you get a chest full of gold? Or maybe a golden bed? A golden throne will work too, Or or-

“Captain, yer makin’ the odd look again”

You snapped from your fantasy, wiping away your drool. Looking over to your right hand man.

“I ain’t not”

“We need yer orda capt, the wind too strong. Any longer, de ship bout’ to blow” Said one of your crews.

You narrowed your eyes as you looked at the lightning flashed before your eyes. Fixing your hat and rolling up your sleeves, showing the numerous tattoos that painted on your arms.

“Ay listen up! You, raise the sail! We gonna make a turn, change da direction!”

“We goin’ to land Capt?”

“No idiot! We takin’ a detour! Get cha ass workin’!”

You barked orders towards your crews and they rushed to their task. Shouting as loud as they can to one another to defeat the sound of the storm. You stir the wheel to fight and hold on against the huge waves.

You won’t be defeat by some waves, by hook by crook, the treasure will be in your hands by the time this season end.

The room was illuminated by the multiple candles you lit up. After the stormy night, you were glad that it stopped raining before dawn.

The rest of the crew were asleep except a few who needs to keep the engines running. You took the pencil, tracing it on the map.

There were three possible places of the golden goldfish, you went to the other two but alas, they weren’t there. Which leaves the last place.

Judging with the compass and calculations (yes pirates do math), you would reach the place in 11 days. You scribble some notes and study the route.

The gold throne can be felt by the end of your fingertips.

Though, the fact that is deep in the sea. There would be monsters and mermaids. Urgh, terrifying creatures. You need to figure out a way to go down the sea.

Firstly, you need to find the pink seaweed and only then will that lead you to the golden goldfish. You pray that this place has pink seaweed since the others didn’t.

You must and will achieve it.

The feast that the crew could have, no more fish! The table would be full of meat and rum.

“Capt, yer makin’ the odd look again”

“Shut yer trap and hit da hay already”

7 more days before you reached your destination. You can’t afford to go to land and re-stock, therefore, fish it is!

Again.

“7 days till meat” you grumbled as you waved your hand at two of your crews.

They throw the net into the sea to catch some food for the trip. You walked around the ship, checking the status of the ships with each of your crews.

Due to the heavy storms you been facing, the ship needs to be fixed every day. Especially before the next storm. A broken ship against a storm? Not a nice combination.

“Woah! Tis is some heavy fish”

“Maybe it’s Salmon!”

“Ay idiot! Tis ain’t salmon habitat!”

“Tuna?”

“Just lift em up ugly”

You walked towards the two males to see the fuss. You are rather curious on what dinner it will be. Maybe it wasn’t fish. Maybe it is a giant squid. But that would make a mess on a ship but it’s a change from fish.

The two males grunt as they managed to pull the net on board. There were a couple of fish that flew on the impact, well it wasn’t tuna or salmon alright. Nor was it a squid.

It was a male.

With a fish tail.

It’s a fish-male.

Or was it a male fish? Man fish? Hot body with slimy tale man fish?

“IT’S A MERMAID!”

“No you idiot! Mermaid is a woman, that ain’t woman, there no milk bags”

“What if her milk bags are tini?”

“Don’t offend her!”

“It ain’t a ‘her’ idiot!”

“I’m not blind pigeon!”

“It’s a mermale!” you snapped your fingers

“No capt, it’s a mer-MAN” your right hand man corrected

You glared at him and he automatically raised his hand up in defense.

“Mermale it is”  

You looked over to the mermale, he was tangled with the nets that unable for him to move. Mid-long wavy teal hair, teal eyes, pale skin with teal tail.

Talking about matching colours.

You walked towards him, you could see him struggling under the net to break free but alas, with a wave of an arm, your crew tied up the net so he won’t be able to break free.

Pressing your foot on his chest to make him stop moving, you tilted your head as you studied his eyes when he looked at you. You could see he was frightened.

“The last mermaids were brave. Were de males different?” you questioned “Or isit cause you alone?”

The man gulped as he stared at you, he loosens the tension from his body. As if he was giving up on his life, shutting his eyes as he sighs.

“What do you need of me? I do not sing nor do I have powers like the fellow maidens. I can’t give you anything” he croaked.

Well that’s surprising. Usually mermaids have beautiful voice despite being in the sea water, this one… really sounds like he drinks sea water.

“Then why you exist if you are useless?” you question, brushing the tip of your boot up to his chest and to his cheek.

“Careful capt, he might have canines” your right hand mind whispered before taking a step back.

“Well?” you asked the merman again.

“Our purpose… Is just to reproduce” he stated, looking away as his face turned red.

“How adorable” you took your sword and cut off the net from him

“CAPTAIN!”

The crew gasped at your actions. Well, you’re not surprised of their expression. Some mermaids are terrifying as they feed on humans. There were a few with sharp teeth like sharks. Not to mention, their singing are just to lure you in before they eat you up.

You doubt that this one is different. Maybe it was just his tactic to get your guards down before he ate you all.

Just as he sat up, all the crews had their swords pointed at him and the fear in his eyes became more evident. You laughed as you crossed your arms.

“This one is obviously a pup” you laughed “What do they call you?”

“M-My name is V” he gulped “Please! Just kill me!”

“Look at em boys, what’s the fun in goin’ straight for the kill?” you walked around him.

Your eyes turned to his tail that was beginning to turn transparent, you knew his legs will be out soon. Your eyes studied him as you crossed your arms. An idea popped into your mind and you saw your key to the golden goldfish right in front of you.

“Well V, do you wish to live?”

The teal haired man looked at you, staring at you before he slowly nods.

“Then you need to help me”

  The mermale, V’s mouth was tied up before he was dragged away to your room. His legs were out but as you suspected, he was a young pup. He could barely stand.

He was obviously not used on legs.

You threw a blanket a him covering his private and legs as your crew tied his arms behind the chair. He was seated in front of your map, across you.

Just as they had tied him up, they took off the cloth from his mouth before stepping behind. V glared at them in rage but he knew he was no match.

“Well V. Pink Seaweed. Where are they?”

“W-why would you need to find them?” he croaked

“Get him some drinking water boys. And the questions will only be asked by me”

After giving him water and questions were thrown back and forth. V sighed as he shook his head.

“You won’t survive there”

“Why not?”

“There are creatures”

“And?”

“You will die”

You smirked as you grabbed his chin, making him look at you.

“I don’t die easily, pup”

His teal eyes stared at you, as if he was studying you. Pursing his lips, he looked towards the map before turning to look at you once more.

“South-West. There”

The smirk on your lips stretched further.

“Atta’ boy”

The night was calm for once without any rain or storms. Due to the calm weather, the crew could finally get a proper night’s sleep and as always you were still awake.

You walked out from your room, scanning your surroundings. The ship is still moving towards its destination and a couple of crews were up drinking or smoking while being on night shift.

You went to the first level of the lower deck where all the crews sleep, you were greeted with loud snores and grumblings. You went to the next level where the food stocks were. You walked pass the sleeping cook and went towards the end of the corridor.

Opening the door, you were greeted with multiple cells. However, only one is occupied.

The teal haired boy was dressed up with a pair of trousers and a used-to-be white shirt. Leaning his back against the wall, he snapped his head to face you when he heard your approaching.

You studied his features, they were sharp and stunning. You have to admit the boy was good looking but that doesn’t change the fact that he is a merman. Even the most vulnerable ones are still dangerous and you wonder how dangerous he is under the terrified and weak façade.

“Why do you wish to go to the pink seaweed?”

“Em’ a pirate, why do you think em’ going there?”

V tilted his head to the side as if to think. He glanced down on his new-found legs before looking back up to you.

“But there isn’t any treasure there”

Your lips quirk up in amusement.

“Who said em’ looking for treasures there?” you chuckled as you laced your fingers behind your back.

“You pirates are mad”

“Well pup. None of this will happen if we weren’t”

You turned around to leave when he called you.

“Captain was it? Why did you visit me tonight?”

“Just securin’ de area”

“Oh”

You hummed before you turned back to face him, leaning in but keeping your distance, you tilted your head slightly to the side.

V looked at you, wondering what you need of him.

“What dya know about the golden goldfish?”

“The what?”

“Golden Goldfish”

“...Aren’t all goldfish golden?”

“Aren’t cha useless”

You shook your head, standing back up straight. You made a turn to leave once more but he called you again.

“The sea is full of mystery. You won’t survive”

You throw your head back and laughed. Looking back at him with a smirk, you didn’t care if he was dangerous, you shoved your hand between the bars and grabbed his chin, pulling him towards you.

“Darlin’, yer could kill me brizillion times and I would still be alive”

Letting him go, you walked away, shutting the door behind you as you left.

As you scribbled away in your journal, one of your crew had placed a plate of food on your desk. Glancing at the grilled fish, your eyes flicked towards the door.

“Did ya give the mermale food?”

“Only water, Capt”

“Get out”

“Yes Capt!”

You continued your work until you heard the door shut. You sighed as you leaned back on the chair. It’s been three days since he was caught.

He would probably be starving by now but if he’s the type to eat humans, you ain’t risking any of your crews. You took your plate before heading below deck, greeting the crews with a grunt before they bustled away with their own food.

Walking through the pantry and into the cell room, you stopped in front of the cell when you saw V holding the wall.

He was grunting as he moved his legs to walk but after a step he fell on the floor with a loud thud. He panted as he pushed himself up with his arms, dragging his legs to sit up.

Just as he turned around, he jumped when he saw you standing in front of his cell. You took off the key from your pockets and insert the key inside the key hole.

Turning the key around with a click, V widened his eyes as you stepped inside the cell. He pulled himself back, dragging his body away from you until his back hit the wall.

You scoffed in amusement as you kneeled down in front of him, holding his leg so he can’t go anywhere.

“W-what do you need of me?”

You could feel him trembling under you hand and you would be lying if you didn’t feel superior over it.

You put the plate on his lap, making him flinch.

“Eat”

You said as you took one of the carrots and pop it into your mouth. He stared at you as you chewed on the carrot.

“Eat the plants or yer fish frien’, I don’ care”

You nod at the plate and he hesitantly reached out for a carrot. He swallowed as he glanced at the food and then back at you.

“If yer thinkin’ of eatin’ me, forget it pup”

You stood up to leave but then he grabbed your arm. On instincts, you whip out your dagger and pointed it on his neck.

V froze as he stared at you, letting go of your arm.

“T-t-thank you”

You narrowed your eyes at him before standing up, keeping the dagger back in your pocket.

“Don’ grab me as you please, pup”

Turning around, you locked up the cell and left him alone.

S01E10: Smokescreen

This episode starts off with Caitlin, Kathleen and Susie trying to get people to sign a petition to help the environment or something, when in walks Rick. Caitlin gets instantly wet.

By the way, can we just talk about how Rick reminds me of the guy in the music video for Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups? He just kinda looks like him.

Anyway, Rick then signs the petition, and then tells Caitlin that he’ll cash her ousside, how bow dah? Just kidding, he says he’ll catch her later. Susie tells Caitlin that Rick totally wants to get in her pants, and that he’s cute. Kathleen says that he’s dumb, and a criminal. No one asked for your opinion, Kathleen. Jeez, this is why nobody likes you. Caitlin says that maybe all he needs is a little help.

Oh great! It’s another Yick and Arthur subplot! Nobody likes them either! In Ms. Avery’s class, they’re doing a project on family history. Yick has to tell the story of his family, but doesn’t want to.

Meanwhile, Ms. Avery asks Rick why he didn’t turn in his assignment, and gives him a speech about not repeating the same mistakes he made last year. Caitlin stares longingly at him. Rick then leaves and punches a locker.

Arthur asks Yick to play basketball with him, but Yick says that he needs to research for his project. He’s gonna make up some shit about his family because he thinks his actual family’s history is boring. Apparently he is a refugee.

Meanwhile, Rick is smoking in the boys’ bathroom. Shane comes in and informs Rick of the many negative effects of smoking cigarettes as he whips out his giant dick to take a piss in the urinal. Rick does not care. He then asks Shane for advice on how to get Caitlin to like him. Shane suggests he join the Environmental Action committee. Rick decides to try it.

Rick goes into the club’s meeting, and Kathleen asks why he’s there. Rick says he wants to join obviously. “What do you know about the environment?” Kathleen asks. “I live in it,” Rick answers. I love that. Caitlin tells Kathleen to just let him join, and Kathleen reluctantly agrees. Rick sits next to Caitlin. Aw!

As much as I ship Caitlin and Joey in the later seasons, Caitlin and Rick are also really cute together. I’m kinda torn between the ships.

After the meeting, Kathleen tells Caitlin she doesn’t want Rick in the club. She basically calls Rick dumb again, and Caitlin gets defensive, saying that they should give him a chance. Aw. True love. <3

Ew, Arthur and Yick time. For his project, Yick buys a vase for 5 bucks and brings it to school. He lies and tells Arthur that it’s been in his family for a really long time. He says it’s very valuable. Arthur is intrigued.

Next scene. LOL! The announcement over the loudspeaker. “Will anyone who had the tuna surprise for lunch please see Nurse Silver before going home.”

Anyway, Caitlin asks Rick to help her with an announcement she’s going to make about the club. Rick instantly accepts. And also gets a hard on.

Arthur breaks Yick’s vase. Bad Arthur.

On the way to Caitlin’s house, Rick and Caitlin walk by a factory, so they talk about pollution. How sexy.

To avoid telling Yick that he broke the vase, Arthur writes a note to Yick saying that he took it to an antique dealer to get it appraised. Yick then freaks out. We got a bunch of dirty fuckin’ liars in this episode.

At Caitlin’s house, Rick and Caitlin talk about their parents a bit, and then start working on the announcement together. Rick tells Caitlin her announcement is boring. Caitlin looks saddened by this. But have no fear, Rick has an idea to make it more interesting.

The next day, Caitlin and Rick show up to make their announcement. Their announcement is a rap. Caitlin sounded so Canadian when she said “about”. Anyway, the rap is a success, and lots of people sign their petition.

The next day at school, Yick greets Arthur, but Arthur, guilty about breaking Yick’s vase, runs away so he won’t have to tell him the truth. Yick finds Arthur in the bathroom, hiding in a stall. Arthur says that it’s still being appraised, and that the antique dealer says it’s very interesting. Yick is confused. For some reason Shane is in the bathroom too, looking very confused by their conversation. Shane goes to the bathroom a lot. He must have a small bladder.

At the Environmental Action Committee’s meeting, Rick and Kathleen argue about the petition. Kathleen thinks that the owners of the factory won’t listen to them, but Rick wants to turn it in anyway to impress Caitlin. Uh oh. Drrraaammmaaa.

At Caitlin’s house, Caitlin asks Susie what she thinks of Rick. Susie says he’s nice. Susie remarks that Caitlin is treating Rick like her experiment and that she should just admit she likes him. Caitlin says he’s not her type.

Arthur does a very shitty job of gluing the vase back together.

The next day Caitlin, Rick, and Susie take the petition to the factory. They talk to a guy who works at the factory, and he assures them that they aren’t polluting. Susie says that the newspapers say they faked all their tests and stuff. The guy denies it, stating that they haven’t had any complaints. Rick then complains, and attempts to fight the man. Caitlin makes him calm down. Rick is getting kind of aggressive.

Afterwards, Rick gets pissed off and goes for a smoke. Kathleen witnesses him in the act, and of course brings it up at the next meeting. Rick gets pissy and exits the meeting pissily, punching more lockers on the way out. Rick waits for Caitlin after the meeting is over, but she is mad at him because he made her look dumb after she stood up for him and tried to help him. This makes Rick mad. He tells her that he only joined the committee because he liked her, not so he could be her charity case. Oh boy. All the feelings come out.

The next day at school, Arthur shows Yick the vase. Yick is mad because he doesn’t have anything for his project. Arthur tells him to just tell the story of how he and his family got to Canada. Yick does that. The class enjoys the story. Enough of Arthur and Yick.

After class, Kathleen badmouths Rick to Caitlin again. Kathleen then proposes her new name for the club, which is even more long and boring than the original name. “What do you think?” she asks Caitlin. “Kathleen, I think you’re a real jerk,” Caitlin responds badassly as she storms away.

After school, Caitlin apologizes to Rick for calling him dumb and saying he needs help, and thanks him for helping them. She also tells him he was right about the factory ignoring them. Final thoughts: All the characters kinda annoyed me in this episode. Kathleen was being a little bitch like always, Arthur and Yick always annoy me, Caitlin was annoying with treating Rick like her charity case, and Rick was rude at times in this episode.
