Forbidden love: The Pirate and the Pirate Princess pt.2
Pairing: Princess Amira White and Killian Jones (Hook)
Word count: 2558
Hook, that was someone I'd heard of but the way they described him was ruthless and could kill a person if he wanted to. I looked at the man Analise said was Hook and he was very handsome. I couldn't resist being swoon by his charm even if he was a pirate. Analise on the other hand didn't like what was going on and snapped her fingers in front of me which made me blink.
"Come to your senses Amira, he could take you for ransom against your father." Analise warned "I think you're judging a bit too soon and if he wanted to kidnap he could have already done that." I said
Analise noticed I had a good point when it came down to the truth of my protector here. He'd saved me from that prince who I was more than eager to avoid. Having a handsome stranger by my side during this masquerade party didn't look like a bad idea. Analise could tell there was no talking me out of this. My mind was made up and I would spend the night talking with Hook.
I walked back over seeing Derek had talked with Killian while I was talking with Analise and he noticed me. Derek gave a bow gesture to me and I was glad he didn't seem to have any objections at this time. Killian offered his hand to me and I took it without having a second thought.
"Care to dance princess?" Killian asked "I'd love to." I said
Killian took me out to the dance floor where I could just relax now that I had a way to keep Prince Nicholas was away from me. Dancing was easy it was just a simple waltz and as I danced with him I looked past his shoulder seeing my sister dancing with father. Our eyes met and she realized I had chose to go bold tonight getting someones attention.
When I looked at Killian I wasn't sure what to say as our dance soon came to an end and we walked over where I got more punch. Father came over finally noticing his beloved 2nd daughter as I was having some punch.
"Amira." King Leopold said "Hello Father." Amira said
"Who are you hanging around tonight?" King Leopold asked "Killian Jones, your highness." Killian said, "Your daughter seems to be quite the dancer."
"Yes, she's very talented." King Leopold said "Father, Mr. Jones travels on the sea. You said when I was old enough you'd take me sailing but you haven't done that." Amira said
Father did not reply to my words and I knew the truth he would never let me really sail the sea as I wished to do. I was looking down in defeat when I heard Killian clear his throat. I looked up and I noticed even father looked at him while he was having our attention.
"Pardon me, your highness. If you'd allow me the chance, I would be honored to take your daughter on the sea and show her the world she wishes to see." Killian said
My mind reeled with what he just did cause I knew who he was, a pirate so what did a pirate want with a princess who wanted to see the world. My father, King Leopold didn't know who he was but he looked at me knowing he was the one who said I could go. I decided to be bold for once and looked at father since this was my only chance.
"Father you want the happiness of all the kingdom. Well, as your daughter I am not happy right now. You promised I could sail and see the world beyond horse traveling." Amira said
Father realized I was speaking my mind for the first time which was new to even me. I didn't speak up but then I knew Hook could teach me quite a bit on how to survive on my own. Pirates had a reputation and I saw that he was hesitant. Analise suddenly showed up beside me and bowed to father which then I saw he had an idea.
"I will allow my daughter to go with you, but Analise must go with her." King Leopold said
My mouth nearly dropped open at my father's words that I almost didn't think I heard him right. He was truly going to let me go without a fight as long as Analise went with me. It seemed to be a mutual agreement cause I saw Killian shake hands with my father.
Night soon came as I had spent the rest of the time with him during the night. He took my hand and kissed the top of it and I blushed slightly. He smirked a bit knowing I hadn't seen his face without the mask so when he took the mask off I was in shock.
"Tomorrow we set sail princess, be sure to pack light. I'll make sure you and your friend have the right clothes after getting past your father's men." Killian said, "good night Amira." "Good Night Captain." I said
I watched his calm features turn into surprise as he walked out and I went up to my room. I had to really consider what was going on with everything at the moment. Father was finally letting me out of the Kingdom and he didn't realize with who. Killian Jones was a name unknown to most but his Alias hook was known by many.
I was getting ready for bed after a nice bath as there was a knock on my door. I saw the door open as I sat in chair infront of my mirror brushing my wet hair. Johanna was the one who entered the room and she noticed where I was. She seemed interested in knowing how tonight went.
"How was the masquerade ball?" Johanna asked "I enjoyed myself." Amira said, "Tomorrow I will be leaving to go sailing the seas." "well that is good." Johanna said then heard what I said about sailing "What? You are going alone?" "No, Analise will be coming with me. There is a man who caught my attention tonight, he helped me out of a bad situation and convinced father to let me go with him." Amira said
Johanna didn't seem to know what to say to my words when there was so much here I would be leaving behind. She helped me with drying my hair and I knew there was no one I could tell I was going with Hook. Analise was going to be my only person to speak this with. I went to bed after giving Johanna a hug and I slept peacefully.
By the next morning I was going to pack when I saw Johanna already packed my things. I noticed she went overboard so I went through what she chose for me and I picked out things to make it light. Johanna looked shocked but I knew there was no way to tell her I was going on a pirate trip.
"Too much Johanna, I can manage with very little." Amira assured her
When I went downstairs I was met with servants who prepared some food. I sat withe everyone and ate with my sister, step mother and father. I wanted to tell them so bad but I had to keep it secret for now. Regina seemed to be injuring though as she couldn't hold it back.
"Are you sure you still want to go? You don't know this man." Regina said "I am sure." Amira said, "Analise can take care of me and make sure we're taken care of."
"If you're sure dear." Regina said
I questioned why my step mother seemed concerned, she's never taken an interest me in the time she's been here. It's always been her and Snow. Snow though put a hand on mine as I looked at her. She smiled knowing this was my dream to see what was out there along the sea.
"Good Luck Amira, maybe you'll find love on your journey." Snow said
Analise showed up after breakfast as I waved bye leaving with her and we headed for the docks. I wasn't sure what to expect as we came to the docks. I saw a man who looked like Killian leaning against a pole seeming to wait. I went with the most basic thing I had to not make us obvious as we walked over.
"Hello Luv." Killian said
"Hello Captain." Amira said
I noticed the hook for a hand and he made a motion to follow him so we both went with him. When we walked on the ship with him the men just looked at us. I knew we were on a pirate ship and I kept my calm. Killian put his hand out to me and I took it since he was my reason for getting out.
"Men, welcome the Princess and her friend. They're going to be sailing with us for awhile." Killian said, "And before you men think of getting any ideas, keep your hands off the princess." His tone held authority
The men welcomed us and then he led us below deck where he said we could have our own cabins. I wanted to ask what that last part was about but didn't even ask as he showed me a cabin as he opened it. Analise and I looked in seeing someone had once clearly stayed in it but hadn't been there in a long time. Analise and I looked at each other but I didn't actually realize what this room meant at the time.
"this is your room Princess, we don't normally give this cabin out but I thought of giving this to you for your own safety." Killian said
"Thank you." Amira said "As for your friend, she can have the cabin next to yours. It's empty" Killian said
Analise just nods as she went to the room, I had some thoughts going through my head a bit. Suddenly I was pulled out of it when he took my hand and kissed the top of it. I blushed this time cause there was no glove protecting my hand from contact and he was so respectful. I knew going on this journey I wasn't going to be the same.
"Get some rest." Killian said before going up to the helm
I went in the cabin and got some rest for a bit of time as the feeling of the ship moving was obvious. I was unsure about what was going to happen but I knew now that I wasn't going to be just a princess and Analise was going to be there with me.
When we arrived at the next port I heard the sounds of foot steps and a knock on the door. I got up going over opening it to see Killian standing there. I remember him saying something about a new attire. Analise was walking out of her cabin seeing Killian already by mine and me in the doorway.
"Come on ladies, we have to get you something more appropriate." Killian said
He led the way off the ship to a market, where there was a place for attire. I questioned his motives at the minute he brought us here but never asked. A merchant lady came out seeing him and looked at seeing us with him.
"Hook, what can I do for you today?" The lady asked
"I need these two ladies dressed appropriately for a pirate crew. You know how to do the best work like your ancestor did with her." Hook said
Her? I thought
"Yes, I remember. Sad what happened to her, anything particular." The lady asked I felt his arm go around me "a normal outfit and leather for the lady here, and a simple normal outfit for her friend." Hook said "the ladies have names, hook. What are their names?" The lady asked "I'm Analise and this is A-" but I cut her off "Selena, my name is Selena." Amira said
I saw hook look at me but I had reasons for not using my real name in public. The moment you hear the name Amira, you think King Leopold's daughter. I needed this to be a fresh move for me and I knew my future actions wouldn't be something father liked.
"I am Femi." Femi said
She led us to the back of the place where she put many different outfits up against us and I wasn't sure what she was looking for exactly. I only noticed when she handed me two outfits and pushed me forward to a changing room that I tried on the normal outfit which was nice and it seemed to be just well your typical pirate attire for a woman. When I put on the leather one I felt a bit of boldness and blushed slightly. I noticed it had a few buttons so I button them up knowing I'd be on a ship with men.
"When you're ready Selena you can come out." Femi said
Here goes nothing. I thought
I walked out and saw Analise had already changed as she saw I was dressed in leather and had the other outfit in my hand. Analise seemed almost surprised with my hair framing my face I almost didn't look like the princess she knew but she smiled. Her approval was good but now it was time to get the Captain's approval as we walked out. Killian seemed to look at me up and down which made me almost nervous about it.
"You look good Luv." Killian said, "Good Job as always Femi."
"Thank you Captain." Femi said
I had some coins with me but I saw Analise took care of it before Killian could take out the treasure he probably stole. Seeing the world was going to be something I was willing to pay the price for. Nothing in this world was free and I knew once father realized who he let me go with there was going to be more coming.
We headed back to the ship as he led the way and when we arrived back the men just looked at us. More at Analise than I due to the Captain's words. I didn't care about what they thought as I walked forward knowing there was more coming.
"Smee! Men! Get ready to go to tavern tonight." Killian said
I had no idea he had that in mind and well I didn't know what was to come soon enough. We went to the tavern as we were sitting He had me sit next to him and told Analise to sit next to Smee. Killian taught me the games and tricks on how to play as he ordered a round of drinks when the serving wench came by. I had never drank before but I knew that to blend in there was a first for everything.
I wasn't paying attention to Analise so I didn't notice her staring at me while Killian was teaching me the games. Cards were easy but he seemed to be bad on the game. He had me play against him with the winner telling the loser to do one thing they ask. Even as a beginner I won against him without trying.
"Seems today is not my day pirate princess." Killian said
how fitting. I thought

Review: Crossroads By: Chantal Fernando Blurb: Ranger is as a crossroads: he has a chance to leave the motorcycle club and do something else with his life-but he keeps getting dragged back. When the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club asks for his help, Ranger agrees, not only because it's hard to say no to them, but also because he has a vested interest. A woman is missing. And Ranger knows her. The Wind Dragons aren't the only ones hoping this girl can be found- on the hunt is Johanna Chase, a stubborn detective who won't give up until the missing woman is found safe. She needs Ranger to help navigate the underground world of motorcycle clubs, and immediately sparks fly. Ranger fights the attraction- he has no plans on going there, no matter how beautiful and badass she is. A biker and a cop? Ridiculous. But the two of them soon realize that they're in way over their heads and now their only option is to trust each other in order to save the missing woman. With the WDMC and the police force at their back, it should be no problem, right? The Wind Dragon's MC series: 1. Dragon's Lair 2. Arrow's Hell 3. Tracker's End 4. Rake's 5. Wolf's Mate Novella's: Dirty Ride (Irish and Tina) Wild Ride (Talon and Tia) Last Ride (Sin and Faye) This book is slightly different from the rest but it is just as good, actually it's one of my favourites in the series. Ranger and Jo are looking for a missing woman they both share a connection to. In the blurb, it says she's a cop and he's a biker, that alone makes for an interesting twist. Ranger has a different side to him, a sweet side that as me swooning over him. As they work together to find Elizabeth, sparks begin to fly and soon becomes more. Upon finding Elizabeth, things get complicated when she always wants to be around Ranger as more. You feel the story along with the characters and laugh with them. We see all of the old characters back, and i didn't realise how much I missed them until I started this and all came back, the hilarious lines from the characters, the beer pong rematch. This is a series not to miss. I give it a 10 out of 10. Quotes: Faye: "I feel like we need code names," is how she answers the phone. "Can we be Mulder and Scully?" Ranger: My jaw tightens at the thought of meeting and working with a fucking cop without having Faye there as a buffer. "Can't we go after your school thing?" "No," Faye says, amusement flashing in her gaze. "You don't have to sit there and have a deep and meaningful conversation or anything. Just hand over the video footage. And we don't want to bring a cop to the clubhouse, hence a random meeting place." "Probably a police station," I grumble, crossing my arms over my chest. "Where they proceed to arrest me afterward." "You're not going to get arrested," she says, rolling her eyes. "There's only room in this clubhouse for one drama queen, Ranger." Faye smirks, stepping to my suitcase and locking it. "Even I noticed that she's a babe. Great ass, right?" "You ready to go?" He asks, getting into the club's black four-wheel drive. I nod and look down at Faye, lean forward, and kiss her on the top of her head. She's a pain in the ass, but she's right, she is growing on me. "Stay out of trouble." "We need to liaise with the local police there. They're expecting us. Well, at least they're expecting me." "Didn't you tell them you're bringing along an outlaw biker with you?" I tease, grinning at my own comment. "No," she simply says, turning her body toward me. "I think I'm just going to surprise them with that one." Then she mutters under her breath, " I'm sure they'll be just as thrilled as I was." I grunt in agreement. I can't pretend like I was looking forward to this, but that was before I saw her. I scrub my hand down my face. No. Her looks don't change the fact she's a cop and I can't ever go there. Not only would I never be able to trust a cop, but I'd lose respect in my world for fraternizing with the enemy. "What, don't you like Faye?" I ask her, twisting her words around a little. "I'll be sure to pass on the message to the woman who is helping you find your cousin when she doesn't have to." Her eyes narrow to slits. "I wasn't talking about Faye, and you know it." Her lips. They're flawless. Heart-shaped and the perfect size. I'd like nothing more than to close the space between us and taste them. Why don't I ever want something that's good for me? I never seem to choose the easy route. Maybe easy is boring. Maybe I'm just a person who can never get what he wants without a fight. "Ranger?" "Yeah," I say, turning my head to the right and looking into her eyes. Her beauty hits me. Fuck, she's stunning. She wrings her hands together, then winces. "I'm not a very good flier." I sit up straighter. "What do you mean you're not a good flier? Do you get sick?" "Sometimes," she admits, the color leaving her face as the plane starts to move. "I usually just feel nauseous and drowsy. Light-headed." I undo my seat belt, get up, and crouch in front of her seat. I know I'm not meant to, and I'm about to get told off, but I can't exactly leave her to stuffer. Fuck the rules. "You're only mentioning this now? Isn't there some motion-sickness medicine or something you can take?" "You're not fine," I growl, narrowing my gaze on her. As the flight ascends, I can see a sheen of sweat appear on her brow. I want until the stupid seat belt light is off, then return to her side. She doesn't even react to my nearness, just keeps her eyes closed and her head back against the seat. Getting tired of her shit, I undo her seat belt, lift her up in my arms and lift her into my lap. "Ranger? What are you doing?" She asks in a soft voice. She must have a killer headache, because she seems so disoriented, nothing like the feisty cop I met at the café. She doesn't even try to move from my hold, something I'm sure she'd have done if she were feeling normal. I sit back down, with her cradled in my lap, rubbing her back gently. She presses her cold, clammy face against my black T-shirt, so I start to give her a gentle head massage, hoping it helps with the tension. It must work, because she relaxes against me, her body going limp. Soon after, she falls asleep on me, her soft snores making me grin. "I can't waif until I'm old enough to go to Rift," Clover says, still licking her lollipop. "I'm going to own that dance floor." Faye and I both stare at her in a Yeah, we'll see about that way, then share an amused glace. "Is that right?" Faye asks, brow rising. "You should have that conversation with your dad." "Good idea," she says, walking out of the room to go find Sin.
