LIGHT OF LIFE 537
John 1:4
DIVINE ORDER 102: GOD SEEKERS 31
Jer 3:16 Then when you have become numerous in that land, people will no longer talk about my Covenant Box. They will no longer think about it or remember it; they will not even need it, NOR WILL THEY MAKE ANOTHER ONE. GNB
MISSION ACOMPLISHED 2
So, we’ve seen that with Jesus’ death and precious Bloodshed, there is an abolishment of the Old Testament Order and establishment of the New, right?
Heb 9:16-17 FOR WHERE A TESTAMENT IS, THERE MUST ALSO OF NECESSITY BE THE DEATH OF THE TESTATOR. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. KJV
In the New Testament, everything we have in the earthly Tabernacle is clearly a “copy” of the things in the heavenly temple; Probably the exact replica.
As the blood of goats sanctified the things on earth, so the blood of Jesus sanctifies the things in Heaven.
Heb 9:23 The copies of the things in heaven had to be cleansed by these sacrifices. BUT THE HEAVENLY THINGS THEMSELVES HAD TO BE CLEANSED BY BETTER SACRIFICES. GW
So, the clear impression is that with the real High Priest in place, the “Headquarters” of “Church” has been moved to heaven, with Jesus doing what our Pastors do here on earth.
Heb 9:24 For Christ did not go into a holy place which had been made by men's hands as the copy of the true one; BUT HE WENT INTO HEAVEN ITSELF, AND NOW TAKES HIS PLACE BEFORE THE FACE OF GOD FOR US. BBE
This is where it really gets better beloved: both in heaven and on earth, all the implement of worship and paraphernalia will be abolished forever.
How?
Well, firstly, the Ark of the Covenant will go, as our Main scripture (Jer 3:16) tells us. To understand why, we need to ask what the Ark stood for to all of us, from Moses’ days to Jesus’; Law to Grace.
Heb 9:4 It contained the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered entirely with gold. In this ark were the golden urn containing the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant. NET
To grasp this further, we need to know the time being referred to here: by the time the Ark of the Covenant disappears and is forgotten, Jesus will be reigning as King in Jerusalem.
This is the Millennial Reign, and by that time, His saints will have been perfected.
Jer 3:17 At that time the city of Jerusalem will be called the 'LORD'S Throne.' All nations will come together in the city of Jerusalem to give honor to the name of the LORD. They will not follow their stubborn, evil hearts anymore. ERV
Manna will have to go because we won’t be hungry or thirsty anymore (Rev 7:13-17).
Rev 7:16-17 They will never hunger or thirst again, and they won't be troubled by the sun or any scorching heat. The Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to streams of life-giving water, and God will wipe all tears from their eyes." CEV
The “Priestly rod of Aaron” will go because there’s no more “recruitment”. All needed Priests and Kings are employed and perfected.
They will be reigning with Christ at Millennia.
Rev 20:6 Wonderfully blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death holds no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ. And they will reign as kings with him a thousand years! TPT
The Tablets of LAW, even though written by God’s very hand, will go because the Law will be engraved directly on our Hearts; we will have the memory of it by heart.
Jer 31:33-34 The new covenant that I will make with the people of Israel will be this: I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. None of them will have to teach a neighbor to know the LORD, because all will know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and I will no longer remember their wrongs. I, the LORD, have spoken." GNB
We just discussed the constituents of the Ark, right?
Well the overall Covenant is also replaced by a better one altogether. These are documented by 3 different prophets working at different times (Isaiah 61:8; Jeremiah 32:40; Ezekiel 37:26).
Eze 37:26 I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. ESV
We will discuss the [final] state and fate of the TEMPLE of worship itself next lesson.
May our lives be established on the everlasting Covenant of Christ, IN JESUS NAME.
See you on Wednesday, as we proceed with this Subtopic.

(𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝑺𝒕. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑽𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒚)
O Glorious Virgin and Martyr, beloved of God, St. Philomena! I rejoice with thee in the power which God gave thee for the glory of His Name, for the edification of His Church, and to reward the merits of thy life and death. I rejoice to see thee so great, so pure, so generous, so faithful to Jesus Christ and to His Gospel, and so splendidly rewarded in Heaven and on earth. Attracted by thy example to the practice of solid virtue, full of hope at the sight of thy recompense granted to thy merits, I resolve to follow thee in avoiding all evil and in fully obeying what God commands. Help me, O great Saint, by thy powerful intercession. Obtain for me particularly, a purity inviolable forever, a strength of soul always invincible in every kind of assault, a generosity which denies no sacrifice to God, and a love as strong as death for the Faith of Jesus Christ, for the Holy Roman Church, and for our Holy Father, the Father of all the faithful, the Shepherd of shepherds and of their flocks, the Vicar of Jesus Christ over all the world. With all the fervor of my soul, I implore these graces from thee, and, in addition, I ask these other benefits from thee with equal confidence in obtaining them through thy powerful intercession.
(Here tell St. Philomena what you need with simplicity, confidence and humility.)
Surely that God so good for Whom thou didst give thy blood and thy life, that God so good Who is so generous to thee and through thy mediation, so generous with gifts and favors to us, that God so good Who has loved me even unto dying for me, even unto giving me Himself under the Eucharistic appearances, surely, He will never be deaf to thy prayers, nor to my appeals, unless it be that He Himself is in some different way seeking to do me good. Full of confidence, I place all my trust in Him and in thee. Amen
𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐘
1. Consider that St. Philomena, having sacrificed everything in this miserable world for Jesus Christ, received back from Himself in this world more than the hundredfold of what He had given! What renown! What power! What glory! What greatness humbled at her feet! What throngs of pilgrims to her different shrines! What festivities in her honor! What tributes of reverence have been paid to her! What an ardent longing to get possession of her relics! Thus, precisely does God fulfill His promises. Ah! If only we maintained our promises to Him with the same fidelity! But when we deprive Him of His glory, do we not perhaps deprive ourselves of great merit and favor both in this world and in the next? Courage, therefore! Be faithful in order that God may be faithful with you.
2. Today, do some little work of mercy in honor of the Saint. Prepare yourself by a good confession to receive Our Lord Jesus Christ in a fitting manner in Holy Communion.
3. Assist at Holy Mass in her honor and visit one of her statues or pictures, if you can do so conveniently.
Let us pray
O God, Who in Thy great might, didst raise up martyrs even from among the weaker sex, grant, we beseech Thee, that we who celebrate the feast of Thy blessed Virgin and Martyr, Philomena, may be led by her example and brought by her to Thee; through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth, one God, in perfect Trinity, for ever and ever. Amen

Thanks Be Unto God
Tumblr media
by Charles Spurgeon
O LORD God, help us now really to worship Thee. We would thank Thee for this occasion. We bless Thy name for setting apart this hallowed season. Lord, wilt Thou shut the door upon the world for us? Help us to forget our cares. Enable us to rise clean out of this world. May we get rid of all its down-dragging tendencies. May the attractions of these grossest things be gone and do Thou catch us away to Thyself.
We do not ask to be entranced nor to see an angel in shining apparel, but we do ask that by faith we may see Jesus and may His presence be so evidently realized among us that we may rejoice as well as if our eyes beheld Him, and love Him and trust Him and worship Him as earnestly as we should do if we could now put our fingers into the print of the nails.
O, Thou precious Lord Jesus Christ, we do adore Thee with all our hearts. Thou art Lord of all. We bless Thee for becoming man that Thou mightest be our next of kin, and being next of kin, we bless Thee for taking us into marriage union with Thyself and for redeeming us and our inheritance from the captivity into which we were sold. Thou hast paid Thy life for Thy people. Thou hast ransomed Thy folk with Thy heart’s blood. Be Thou, therefore, forever beloved and adored.
And now Thou art not here for Thou art risen. Our souls would track the shining way by which Thou hast ascended through the gate of pearl up to Thy Father’s throne. We seem to see Thee sitting there, man, yet God, reigning over all things for Thy people and our ears almost catch the accents of the everlasting song which rolls up at Thy feet, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive honor, and power, and glory, and dominion, and might forever and ever.” Lord, we say, “Amen.” From the outskirts of the crowd that surround Thy throne, we lift up our feeble voices in earnest “Amens,” for Thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood and hast made us kings and priests unto God, and we shall reign with Thee, for though far off by space, we know that we are very near to Thy heart.
Thou lookest over the heads of the angelic squadrons to behold us and Thou dost hear the praises—aye, and the groans of Thy well-beloved, for are not we most near Thee, Thy flesh and Thy bones? We know we are. We feel the ties of kinship within us. We our best Beloved’s are, and He is ours, and we are longing to get through the crowd that surround Him, and to get to the forefront, and there to bow prostrate at the dear feet that were nailed to the tree for us, and worship the Lamb who liveth forever and ever, who has prevailed to take the book and loose the seven seals thereof, to Whom be glory, world without end. Hallelujah!
O, Savior, accept these our poor praises. They come from those Thou lovest, and as we prize any little things that come from those we love, so do we feel that Thou wilt accept the thanksgiving, the reverential homage of Thy people, redeemed ones who are a people near unto Thee, whose names are graven on the palms of Thy hands, of whom Thou art the active head and for whom Thy heart beats true and full of love even now.
Oh, we can say we love Thee. We wish we loved Thee more, but Thou art very dear to us. There is nought on earth like Thee. For the love of Thy name we would live and die. If we think we love Thee more than we do, we pray that we may yet love Thee more than we think. Oh, take these hearts right away and unite them with Thine own, and be Thou heart and soul and life and everything to us, for whom have we in heaven but Thee and there is none upon earth we desire beside Thee.
We worship the Father, we worship the Son, we worship the Holy Ghost with all the powers of our being. We fall prostrate before the awful yet glorious throne of the Infinite Majesty of heaven. The Lord accept us since we offer these praises in the name of Jesus.
And now most blessed Lord, look down upon those who do not love Thee. O Redeemer, look upon them with those eyes of Thine which are as flames of fire. Let them see how ill they treat Thee. May they consider within themselves how dire is the ingratitude which can be negligent of a Savior’s blood, indifferent from a Savior’s heart. Oh, bring the careless and the godless to seek for mercy. Let those that are postponing serious things begin to see that the very thought of postponement of the claims of Christ is treason against His Majesty. O Savior, dart Thine arrows abroad and let them wound many that they may fall down before thee and cry out for mercy.
But there are some who are wounded, broken hearts that seek peace—men and women, like Cornelius, that want to hear the words which God commands.
Oh, come divine Physician and bind up every broken bone. Come with Thy sacred nard which Thou hast compounded of Thine own heart’s blood, and lay it home to the wounded conscience, and let it feel its power. Oh! give peace to those whose conscience is like the troubled sea which cannot rest.
O God, our God, let not the teaching of the Sunday school, the preaching of the evangelists, the personal visitations of individual minds, let not any of these efforts be in vain. Do give conversions. We groan out this prayer from our very heart, yet can we also sing it, for Thou hast heard us plenteously already, and our heart doth rejoice in God the Savior who worketh so graciously among the children of men.
We have been astonished as the Holy Ghost has fallen even upon the chief of sinners, and men afar off from God have been brought in. But, Lord, do more of this among us. Let us see greater things than these. Where we have had one saved, let us have a hundred to the praise of the glorious name and the Well-beloved.
Lord, keep us all from sin. Teach us how to walk circumspectly. Enable us to guard our minds against error of doctrine, our hearts against wrong feelings, and our lives against evil actions. Oh, may we never speak unadvisedly with our lips, nor give way to anger. Above all, keep us from covetousness which is idolatry and from malice which is of the devil. Grant unto us to be full of sweetness and light. May love dwell in us and reign in us. May we look not every man on his own things, but every man on the things of others. Give us to live for Jesus. There is no life like it. Help us to be Christly men, Christ’s men, and may we in all things reflect the light which we receive from Him.
Bless our beloved Church and all its organizations. O God, take care of it. Oh! do thou make every member of the Church a pastor over others. Let all strive together for the good of all and so may Thy kingdom come among us.
And do Thou prosper all the churches of Jesus Christ. What we ask for ourselves we seek for them. Let missionaries especially be helped by Thy Spirit and may there come a day in which the minds of men may be better prepared to receive the Gospel, and may Messiah’s kingdom come to the overthrow of her that sitteth on the Seven Hills, and to the eternal waning of Mohammed’s moon, to the overthrow of every idol, that Christ alone may reign. Our whole heart comes out in this. Reign, Immanuel, reign. Sit on the high throne. Ride on Thy white horse and let the armies of heaven follow thee, conquering and to conquer. Come, Lord Jesus, even so, come quickly. Amen and amen.

Tablet 3 "The Key of Wisdom"
EMERALD TABLET III:
The Key of Wisdom
I, Thoth, the Atlantean, give of my wisdom, give of my knowledge, give of my power. Freely I give to the children of men. Give that they, too, might have wisdom to shine through the world from the veil of the night. Wisdom is power and power is wisdom, one with each other, perfecting the whole.
Be thou not proud, O man, in thy wisdom. Discourse with the ignorant as well as the wise. If one comes to thee full of knowledge, listen and heed, for wisdom is all.
Keep thou not silent when evil is spoken for Truth like the sunlight shines above all.
He who over-steppeth the Law shall be punished, for only through Law comes the freedom of men.
Follow thine heart during thy lifetime. Do thou more than is commanded of thee.
When thou has gained riches, follow thou thine heart, for all these are of no avail if thine heart be weary. Diminish thou not the time of following thine heart. It is abhorred of the soul.
They that are guided go not astray, but they that are lost cannot find a straight path.
If thou go among men, make for thyself, Love, the beginning and end of the heart.
If one cometh unto thee for council, let him speak freely, that the thing for which he hath come to thee may be done. If he hesitates to open his heart to thee, it is because thou, the judge, doeth the wrong.
Repeat thou not extravagant speech, neither listen thou to it, for it is the utterance of one not in equilibrium. Speak thou not of it, so that he before thee may know wisdom.
Silence is of great profit. An abundance of speech profiteth nothing.
Exalt not thine heart above the children of men, lest it be brought lower than the dust.
If thou be great among men, be honored for knowledge and gentleness.
If thou seeketh to know the nature of a friend, ask not his companion, but pass a time alone with him. Debate with him, testing his heart by his words and his bearing.
That which goeth into the store-house must come forth, and the things that are thine must be shared with a friend.
Knowledge is regarded by the fool as ignorance, and the things that are profitable are to him hurtful. He liveth in death. It is therefore his food.
The wise man lets his heart overflow but keeps silent his mouth.
0 man, list to the voice of wisdom; list to the voice of light. Mysteries there are in the Cosmos that unveiled fill the world with their light. Let he who would be free from the bonds of darkness first divine the material from the immaterial, the fire from the earth; for know ye that as earth descends to earth, so also fire ascends unto fire and becomes one with fire. He who knows the fire that is within himself shall ascend unto the eternal fire and dwell in it eternally.
Fire, the inner fire, is the most potent of all force, for it overcometh all things and penetrates to all things of the Earth.
Man supports himself only on that which resists. So Earth must resist man else he existeth not.
All eyes do not see with the same vision, for to one an object appears of one form and color and to a different eye of another. So also the infinite fire, changing from color to color, is never the same from day to day.
Thus, speak I, Thoth, of my wisdom, for man is a fire burning bright through the night; never is quenched in the veil of the darkness, never is quenched by the veil of the night.
Hark ye, 0 man, and list to this wisdom: where do name and form cease? Only in consciousness, invisible, an infinite force of radiance bright. The forms that ye create by brightening thy vision are truly effects that follow thy cause.
Man is a star bound to a body, until in the end, he is freed through his strife. Only struggle and toiling thy utmost shall the star within thee bloom out in new life. He who knows the commencement of all things, free is his star from the realms of night.
Remember, 0 man, that all which exists is only another form of that which exists not. Everything that has being is passing into yet other being and thou thyself are not an exception.
Consider the Law, for all is Law. Seek not that which is not of the Law, for such exists only in the illusions of the senses.
Wisdom cometh to all her children even as they cometh unto wisdom.
All through the ages, the light has been hidden. Awake, O man, and be wise.
Deep in the mysteries of life have I traveled, seeking and searching for that which is hidden. List ye, O man, and be wise.
Far 'neath the earth crust, in the Halls of Amenti, mysteries I saw that are hidden from men.
Oft have I journeyed the deep hidden passage, looked on the Light that is Life among men. There 'neath the Flowers of Life ever living, searched I the hearts and the secrets of men. Found I that man is but living in darkness, light of the great fire is hidden within.
Before the Lords of hidden Amenti learned I the wisdom I give unto men. Masters are they of the great Secret Wisdom, brought from the future of infinity's end. Seven are they, the Lords of Amenti, overlords they of the Children of Morning, Suns of the Cycles, Masters of Wisdom. Formed are not they as the children of men? Three, Four, Five and Six, Seven, Eight, Nine are the titles of the Masters of men.
Far from the future, formless yet forming, came they as teachers for the children of men. Live they forever, yet not of the living, bound not to life and yet free from death.
Rule they forever with infinite wisdom, bound yet not bound to the dark Halls of Death.
Life they have in them, yet life that is not life, free from all are the Lords of the ALL.
Forth from them came forth the Logos, instruments they of the power o'er all. Vast is their countenance, yet hidden in smallness, formed by a forming, known yet unknown.
Three holds the key of all hidden magic, creator he of the Halls of the Dead; sending forth power, shrouding with darkness, binding the souls of the children of men; sending the darkness, binding the soul force; director of negative to the children of men.
Four is he who looses the power. Lord, he, of Life to the children of men.
Light is his body, flame is his countenance; freer of souls to the children of men.
Five is the master, the Lord of all magic— Key to The Word that resounds among men.
Six is the Lord of Light, the hidden pathway, part of the souls of the children of men.
Seven is he who is Lord of the vastness, master of Space and the key of the Times.
Eight is he who orders the progress; weighs and balances the journey of men.
Nine is the father, vast he of countenance, forming and changing from out of the formless.
Meditate on the symbols I give thee. Keys are they, though hidden from men.
Reach ever upward, 0 Soul of the morning. Turn thy thoughts upward to Light and to Life. Find in the keys of the numbers I bring thee, light on the pathway from life unto life.
Seek ye with wisdom. Turn thy thoughts inward. Close not thy mind to the Flower of Light.
Place in thy body a thought-formed picture. Think of the numbers that lead thee to Life.
Clear is the pathway to he who has wisdom. Open the door to the Kingdom of Light.
Pour forth thy flame as a Sun of the morning. Shut out the darkness and live in the day.
Take thee, 0 man! As part of thy being, the Seven who are but are not as they seem. Opened, O man! Have I my wisdom. Follow the path in the way I have led.

This Kingdom
God and his only begotten son Jesus are building a supernatural kingdom of faith and love. Inside this kingdom of heaven there will be no more sin or remembrance thereof. Jesus, the Lamb of God, has taken away the sin of the world. There will be no more death, pain or suffering. All who are there will live forever. God will be there and he will be our Father and we will be his children. Love, joy, peace, and righteousness, that never ends.  This kingdom of God is not only something we can experience and be a part of after we die, but we can experience and be a part of God’s kingdom today with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Right now God is offering us a job to help fill this kingdom. He will feed us and he will cloth us. He will train us and equip us to do the job of bringing others into his eternal kingdom.  If you are not working for God, stop believing the religious Pharisees, and call out to  the Lord, sincerely asking him in faith, like a child, what it is he wants you to do. Forsake everything and submit yourself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Then get out a bible and read the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Do not worry about the rest of the bible right now there may not be enough time for that. Jesus is The Word of God. Jesus is the voice of God. In these last days God hath spoken unto us by his Son Jesus. Jesus is the prophet we shall hear and obey.  Within the gospels we find the teachings of Jesus, the cornerstone. This is the one all religious organizations have rejected.  His teachings are a solid rock foundation we can build our lives upon. Upon which God’s kingdom is built. Following Jesus around we learn how he does things. We discover he does things differently than us. He thinks differently than we do. We discover that his teachings break us. But his teachings are spirit and they are life. Therefore if we believe his teachings, if we receive his words, if we obey him, we will have found the grace of God. We will be starting our life all over. We will be born again by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. He gives us the power to become children of God. We should not even look back. When we stumble and fall...we get back up. Gods grace is sufficient for us to keep moving forward and finish the course.  The teachings of Jesus apply to everyone. It does not mater where we live in this world or what language we speak. The teachings are the same. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Believeth, is not a molded prayer. Believeth, is not a simple Romans road plan leading to life. Believeth, is not naming it and claiming it. Believeth, is not adherence to man made sacraments. Believeth, is hearing the Shepard’s voice and following Him.  The job is to go into all the world and preach the gospel of this kingdom to everyone. Teach others what he has taught us, and what the Holy Ghost will continue to teach us. Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Do not fear martyrdom but fear God. Endure till the end.  This perfectly square corner stone will be seen by everyone coming in the clouds. There will be no where to run from him. there will be no where to hide from him. If we receive not his words, if we believe not his teachings, if we reject the corner stone, then the same will judge us. This same corner stone that can break us and remake us, will grind us to powder. The door will be shut.  Right now God is hiring. Be one who follows the resurrected Lamb wherever he goes. His kingdom is not of this world. Seek that kingdom who’s builder and maker is God. If we go hungering and thirsting after righteousness we shall be filled.  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Just before I start on this blog in earnest, as today is Remembrance Sunday in England, Armistice Day in France I would just like to take a minute to remember all those who gave their lives for us, no matter which conflict. Two young men, brothers of my grandparents, enlisted to fight in the First World War, lost their lives and remain forever in France. "Their Name Liveth for Evermore". Noticed that the Town Hall had all these gorgeous plants in the four beds that are at the entrance. It looks stunning (well really it always does), I felt as if I have been walking around the town with my eyes closed as when I turned away from the Town Hall I noticed that what had been an old Champagne House looked as if it was being renovated. A chat in the bar resulted in the fact that 4 investors had bought it but have now run out of cash so it is just going to be left for the time being. Such a shame, it is a gorgeous building. Monday saw me back at French lessons, this was something that I was not looking forward too, however, it proved to be not half as bad as I had thought. It was a very quiet class, only speak when it is your turn to repeat the phrase! A lot of the trees around town are still fully covered with leaves, these have taken on a really wonderful hue, before they shed them completely. I went to see "A Star is Born" at the cinema, unfortunately the 1976 movie with Streisand and Kristofferson is still an all time favourite and I could not help but compare this movie to it. Anyone who hasn't seen the 1976 movie will probably enjoy this version. On Thursday I met an Englishman who lives about 30 km away, he runs a business and also knows the lady I met at the Rally a couple of weeks ago. He was very friendly and I am going to give him a ring and arrange a drink with him and his wife at "my" bar. I then bumped into Marie-Therese as she was doing her shopping. She called at my home later for a cup of tea and a custard tart, she insists on bringing them, just as well I like them. All too soon it was Friday again and this week my session as a volunteer was in the morning and not the afternoon. Monique picked me up and we had a good time playing some games and getting everyone to contribute to the lesson in French. Only one young man was not too keen on the games but he did continue with them. Afterwards it had been arranged that Monique and I would go to a "brasserie" for lunch. We finally ended up in Le Montagnard, Monique saying we could just have the "plat du jour" at 10 euro. Well, when we got inside we decided on three courses, a glass of wine each and coffee. I went to pay for us both and was amazed that the bill came to 30.50 euro. That was a wonderful surprise and the meal was good too. The weather was wet and awful on Saturday and I didn't attempt to go outside at all until it was time for the bar. I didn't get a lot of knitting done either and before I know it, it will be back to French class again. Of course there is always the Remembrance Day parade to attend and I am also going to a concert on Sunday evening but more about that next week. Until then ..........

“Following the death of her husband, King Thutmose II, Hatshepsut initially acted as regent for her young stepson, Thutmose III. Within a few years, however, Hatshepsut decided to claim the throne in her own right and went on to rule as king over Egypt for some twenty years (r. @1503-1482 BCE). There were precedents for female sole rule, notably (female) King Sobekkara Sobekneferu, during the late 12th Dynasty (Middle Kingdom), but the rituals and symbols of kingly power were designed around the assumption that a male would hold this position; indeed, there wasn't even a word in the language that meant "female ruler", no equivalent of "queen".
Hatshepsut's official legitimation of her unusual claim to power made use of some traditional means of describing kingly authority. She developed, for example, the conventional story of the king's divine descent into an elaborate poem narrating her conception and birth, in which the great god Amon predestined her for rule, carefully planning every phase of her life toward achieving this goal. Fragments of this poem are preserved in the following inscription, which accompanied a series of reliefs on her mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahri. The entire work proceeds from a council of the gods, in which Amon announces his intentions, to a series of visits to Hatshepsut's royal mother, in which the child is conceived and shaped in form by the gods, then the birth and recognition of the divine child Hatshepsut. The story continues with a coronation series, that shows her selection for rule as a child, her growth to young womanhood, and her crowning by the gods and her earthly father, Thutmose I. We can see here history being reshaped for political purposes, notably in the reinterpretation of a trip young Hatshepsut took with her father to the "north country"; here the trip is transformed into an epiphany that reveals the divine purpose behind Hatshepsut's life and validates her claim upon the throne."
Divine Birth and Coronation of Hatshepsut
The Interviews
Utterance of Amon-Re, lord of Thebes, presider over Karnak. He made his form like the majesty of this husband, the King Okheperkere (Thutmose I). He found her as she slept in the beauty of her palace. She waked at the fragrance of the god, which she smelled in the presence of his majesty. He went to her immediately, coivit cum ea (1), he imposed his desire upon her, he caused that she should see him in his form of a god. When he came before her, she rejoiced at the sight of his beauty, his love passed into her limbs, which the fragrance of the god flooded; all his odors were from Punt.
Words of the Queen
Utterance by the king's-wife and king's-mother Ahmose, in the presence of the majesty of this august god, Amon, Lord of Thebes: "How great is thy fame! It is splendid to see thy front; thou hast united my majesty (fem.) with thy favors, thy dew is in all my limbs." After this, the majesty of this god did all that he desired with her.
Words of Amon
Utterance of Amon, Lord of the Two Lands, before her: "Khnemet-Amon-Hatshepsut shall be the name of this my daughter, whom I have placed in thy body, this saying which comes out of thy mouth. She shall exercise the excellent kingship in this whole land. My soul is hers, my bounty is hers, my crown is hers, that she may rule the Two Lands, that she may lead all the living ... "
Instructions of Amon
Utterance of Amon, presider over Karnak: "Go, to make her, together with her ka, from these limbs which are in me; go, to fashion her better than all gods; shape for me, this my daughter, whom I have begotten. I have given to her all life and satisfaction, all stability, all joy of heart from me, all offerings, and all bread, like Re, forever."
Reply of Khnum
"I will form this [thy] daughter [Makere] (Hatshepsut), for life, prosperity and health; for offerings for love of the beautiful mistress. Her form shall be more exalted than the gods, in her great dignity of King of Upper and Lower Egypt."
[Hatshepsut is born, to much celebration.]
The Queen's Growth and Beauty
Her majesty saw all this thing herself, which she told to the people, who heard, falling down for terror among them. Her majesty grew beyond everything; to look upon her was more beautiful than anything; her [ ... ] was like a god, her form was like a god, she did everything as a god, her splendor was like a god; her majesty (fem.) was a maiden, beautiful, blooming, Buto (4) in her time. She made her divine form to flourish, a favor of him that fashioned her.
The Journey
Her majesty (fem.) journeyed to the North country after her father, the King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Okheperkere, who liveth forever. There came her mother, Hathor, patroness of Thebes; Buto, mistress of Dep; Amon, lord of Thebes; Atum, lord of Heliopolis; Montu, lord of Thebes; Khnum, lord of the Cataract; all the gods that are in Thebes, all the gods of the South and North, and approached her. They traversed for her, pleasant ways, (they) came, and they brought all life and satisfaction with them, they exerted their protection behind her; one proceeded after another of them, they passed on behind her every day.
Promises of the Gods
They said, "Welcome, daughter of Amon-Re; thou hast seen thy administration in the land, thou shall set it in order, thou shalt restore that which has gone to its ruin, thou shalt make thy monuments in this house, thou shalt victual the offering-tables of him who begat thee, thou shalt pass through the land and thou shalt embrace many countries. Thou shalt strike among the Tehenu, thou shalt smite with the mace the Troglodytes; thou shalt cut off the heads of the soldiers, thou shalt seize the chiefs of Retenu, bearing the sword, the survivals of thy father. Thy tribute is myriads of men, the captives of thy valor; thy reward is thousands of men for the temples of the Two Lands. Thou givest offerings in Thebes, the steps of the king, Amon-Re, lord of Thebes. The gods have [endowed] thee with years, they present thee with life and satisfaction, they praise thee, for their heart hath given understanding to the egg which they have fashioned. They shall set thy boundary as far as the breadth of heaven, as far as the limits of the twelfth hour of the night; the Two Lands shall be filled with children -, thy numerous children are (as) the number of thy grain, which thou [... ] in the hearts of thy people; it is the daughter of the bull of his mother, - beloved ... ."
Thutmose I Summons His Daughter to be Crowned
There saw her the majesty of her father, this Horus; how divine is her great fashioner! Her heart is glad, (for) great is her crown; she advocates her cause in truth, exalter of her royal dignity, and of that which her ka does. The living were set before her in his palace of [... ]. Said his majesty to her: "Come, glorious one; I have placed (thee) before me; that thou mayest see thy administrations in the palace, and the excellent deeds of thy ka's that thou mayest assume thy royal dignity, glorious in thy magic, mighty in thy strength. Thou shalt be powerful in the Two Lands; thou shalt seize the rebellious; thou shalt appear in the palace, thy forehead shall be adorned with the double diadem, resting upon the head of the heiress of Horus, whom I begat, daughter of the white crown, beloved of Buto. The diadems are given to thee by him who presides over the thrones of the gods.
Thutmose I Summons the Court
My majesty caused that there be brought to him the dignitaries of the king, the nobles, the companions, the officers of the court, and the chief of the people, that they may do homage, to set the majesty of the daughter of this Horus before him in his palace of [ ... ]" There was a sitting of the king himself, in the audience-hall of the right of the court, while these people prostrated themselves in the court.
Thutmose I's Address to the Court
Said his majesty before them: "This my daughter, KhnemetAmon, Hatshepsut, who liveth, I have appointed [her] - -; she is my successor upon my throne, she it assuredly is who shall sit upon my wonderful seat. She shall command the people in every place of the palace; she it is who shall lead you; ye shall proclaim her word, ye shall be united at her command. He who shall do her homage shall live, he who shall speak evil in blasphemy of her majesty shall die. Whosoever proclaims with unanimity the name of her majesty (fem.), shall enter immediately into the royal chamber, just as it was done by the name of this Horus (viz., by my name). For thou art divine, O daughter of a god, for whom even the gods fight; behind whom they exert their protection every day according to the command of her father, the lord of the gods."
The Court and People Acknowledge the New Queen
The dignitaries of the king, the nobles and the chief of the people hear this command for the advancement of the dignity of his daughter, the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Makere (Hatshepsut) living forever. They kissed the earth at his feet, when the royal word fell among them; they praised all the gods for the King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Okheperkere (Thutmose I), living forever. They went forth, their mouths rejoiced, they published his proclamation [to] them. All the people of all the dwellings of the court heard; they came, their mouths rejoicing, they proclaimed (it) beyond everything, dwelling on dwelling therein was announcing (it) in his name; soldiers on soldiers [ ... ] they leaped and they danced for the double joy of their hearts. They proclaimed, they proclaimed the name of her majesty (fem.) as king; while her majesty (fem.) was a youth, while the great god was turning their hearts to his daughter, Makere (Hatshepsut), living forever, when they recognized that it was the fa[ther] of the divine daughter, and thus they were excellent in her great soul beyond everything. As for any man who shall love her in his heart, and shall do her homage every day, he shall shine, and he shall flourish exceedingly; but as for any man who shall speak against the name of her majesty, the god shall determine his death immediately, even by the gods who exercise protection behind her every day. The majesty of this her father hath published this, all the people have united upon the name of this his daughter for king. While her majesty was a youth, the heart of his majesty inclined to [her) exceedingly.

Book 1 - The Gods - Appendix - Fourteenth Chapter

Fourteenth Chapter
The wood is good; it is required; it is God’s creation. Many things are made of it: of it are made the houses in which we live, and of it are made the boats with which there is the gaining of a livelihood. For these reasons the wood of which is made what we require, what we gain our livelihoods with, is greatly to be valued.
A. But the wood used for idolatry is worthy of being accursed. And he who [so] maketh it, carveth it, is indeed unhappy, indeed to be accursed, even as the wood itself. And the wood-carver must needs to be exceedingly accursed because he made that which was not required, which was a great confusion to men. And the wood, greatly required, shall also be accursed, because it is only wood and is worshipped as an idol.
B. And God, our Lord, greatly abhorreth both the idolater and idolatry: him who began idolatry and him who liveth in idolatry. Both will forever be in torment in the land of the dead.
C. These, the demonds, were the cause of idolatry. For never will God, have mercy upon them. And although they are God’s creatures, they must needs be abhorred, accursed, for they are deceivers, tricksters, confusers of men.
D. Those who first introduced idolatry [and] idols dishonored and offended God; thereby they angered God, for thus were very many confused. When the world began, none lived as idolaters; and before the world shall end, idolatry will perish.
E. The witless, the senseless began idolatry here upon earth. But because of their wickedness they suddenly died.
F. Behold how the wicked, the men of little understanding, began idolatry. There lived the son of a man who was ruler, his only son, his youth, whom he loved much. And the youth died. And his father was much saddened thereby; he wept much, he grieved much. And then he commanded that a representation of his beloved son be made, carved of wood or stone. He rigorously commanded the woodcarver to make a true image of him, so that it would be like the painted image of his son. When the representation was done, then he set it up in a good place; there he worshipped it. Then he commanded the people of his household to worship it, and to lay offerings before it – to offer it paper, copal [incense], flowers.
G. And in years following the ruler commanded all his vassals to worship the representation of his son and to lay offerings before it. Thus it was that idolatry began.
A. Behold another manner by which idolatry began. Some made representations of those whom they loved who lived in far places. And because they lived in far places, [because] they could not see their bodies, their representations gave them comfort. And they paid them honor, and either the ruler or a noblewoman laid offerings before them.
B. And the painters very carefully painted the representations. Very marvelously, very well they made the representations. Thus they tempted men; thus there was the worship of idols.
C. The painter, or the woodcarver, or the lapidary, or the goldworker, since he greatly wished to quiet doubts, brought it about that what he made was even better than the flesh from which was molded, from which was taken, the representation. The better he formed the representation, the more he confused men.
D. Very many commoners, luckless men, who saw that the representation was very subtly, very carefully made, worshipped it. They thought it was a god. The representation only confused them because it was subtly, carefully made.
E. In this manner were men on earth confused. For because of love or because of honor paid men, they defamed godliness. The previous name of God, which belongeth only to God, they thus gave as name to the representation in stone, in wood.
F. The confusions of the idolaters were not one but many. The confusions arose, lived in idolatry. These [men] thought they were content, but it was in a great war that they lived.
G. These idolaters slew their songs before their gods. And by night they did many things before their gods which sicken and anger one. All their acts, their lives, all were vicious, filthy. They hated one another; they slew one another, they committed adultery one with another. Murder, robbery, adultery, trickery, public disorders, contentions spread everywhere. None saw to gratitude, to chastity. Incontinence, vice, filth were verily the idolaters’ way of life.
 A. Idolatry is much to be loathed. Its beginning, its start, and its end are in everything evil, improper. And all which is loathsome and confusion, all liveth in, issueth from idolatry.
B. The idolaters, when they take their pleasure, are as if drunk; they become maddened; they talk as if drunk.
C. The idolaters, when they put faith in the favor of their gods, do not esteem them. They speak ill of them; they have no fear of them; for they have no souls.
D. Many such things come to pass among the idolaters. Not without cause doth God, the only God, abominate them. But they greatly honor their false gods. And they are much given to false oaths in order to deceive one. But they esteem no true justice.
E. Oaths should not be habitual. Those who often call upon His holy name commit a sin. It is not required that His holy name be called upon twice, for the reason that it is great; it is greatly required. He who falsely calleth upon His holy name committeth a sin. It shall be his last sin.

The IN HIM Reality!
Tumblr media
Life truly can be all joy, overcoming joy! Thriving is absolutely normal, once we behold the Truth, the actual Truth of Jesus.
This doesn’t mean that there aren’t challenges, trials, or troubles. Surely there are. Yet, James reminds us in the beginning of his book to “consider it all joy!” When we test gold, it only proves it to be gold all the more!
And, that is what we have! Pure gold! That is who we are, IN HIM!
Personally, I remember years of riding the roller coaster of human emotions, of spiritual breakthrough, then spiritual struggle, of difficult seasons then better seasons, of clarity then confusion, et cetera, et cetera, and up and down. But, the reason I continue to minister NOW is because something happened to me! I found out the roller coaster was over. My journey found it’s “Telos.” There is a steady and stable ecstatic JOY that comes from seeing the implications of the Person of Jesus, and what He’s done, once and for all!
Most Christians grew up knowing that “Jesus” is always the correct Sunday school answer. But, we very rarely realized much of the actual implications of being experientially in Him.
I thank God that there are beginning to be more and more folks waking up to the IN HIM reality!
I use that phrase specifically because it is specifically knowing the Person of Jesus as my new reality that changed everything. Jesus Himself is the new creation! He is the cosmos reborn! Jesus is the whole new world where heaven and earth are inseparably united forever.
Knowing Jesus as God is integral. Knowing Jesus as man is mind blowing. Knowing Him as the One Reality that fully defines the truth of all of God AND all of humanity is THE mystic truth that really transforms.
Why?
What are some of the implications of Jesus?
A. We don’t just have “our own personal relationship” with God. We all are in Jesus’ personal relationship with the Trinity! Our intimacy with God is always flawlessly intimate and one at all times. We can’t get any closer with God, we can’t get any further away.
B. We have the gift of His mind, will, emotions inside of us giving us a stable reference of the highest thoughts, emotions, and desires to experience from within, as our own! I am no longer a victim to my limited emotional ability or perspective regarding any situation. I can see, feel, think, and desire like Jesus in any given moment.
C. Every spiritual blessing that Jesus has is ours! Every spiritual curse or hindrance no longer applies, because they don’t apply to Him. We have all spiritual power and authority within us.
D. We have Jesus’ ability to avoid sin, and walk in pure child-like innocence.
E. We have the resurrection health and life of Jesus in our bodies.
An infinite number of books could be written about the implications of this IN CHRIST reality. It is truly a whole new world, where the things that we thought defined us or limited us before, no longer apply.
I continue to search for new language to describe the Glory of what it means that we are IN CHRIST, and that He is in us!
I am thankful for the work of those who have been expounding on the understanding of Jesus Christ, the Vicarious Man! This is another way of saying the In Christ reality. Jesus as our vicarious man became the One in whom we live through. Not in a way where our life and personality don’t count. But, in a way where we get to come most fully alive by participating in His life. It’s certainly a mystical reality! His experiences are what’s most true about us. His birth was our birth. His death was our death. His resurrection was our resurrection. The truth about Him is what is true.
Coming In the Name of Jesus
This is what it means to pray in the name of Jesus. This is what it means to live in the name of Jesus. We are no longer approaching anyone simply by our own life experiences, or in our own abilities, or in our own anything. We have everything that is true about Him carried with us, in us, and ultimately defining us!
When we are awake to this, everything changes. This is where all of reality bends, and we have whatever we ask, or even whatever we speak, because we are not coming in our own ego, but wholly living by the Presence of the Person whose life defines us now.
Living life in His name causes sin to have no appeal to us. Love is our first nature. We get to live just as He does! Heaven on earth!!!
First of all we need to know that this is something objectively true, not dependent upon us to make it true. When we see that God became man, i.e. all of humanity, we are empowered to walk like Jesus consistently.
The discouraging, unreliable roller coaster of life is over, and we are able to walk as He walked by no efforts of our own!!!
This is why we preach the truth, and will continue to say it in many different ways, until all wake up, and to keep ourselves reminded!
One of my favorite revelators of this reality, Norman Grubb, used to say that he believed Galatians 2:20 was the apostle Paul’s chief revelation. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
This doesn’t remove you, or your personality, no! It’s gives you a higher reference point than yourself, and removes the false broken self that you had thought was truly you.
In Christ, we are whole, complete, powerful, filled with over flowing love, joy, peace, patience, and all the fruits of the Spirit. In Christ we are dead to sin and alive to God. In Christ we have perfect eternal intimacy. We hear God just as well as Jesus hears God. We are fully human and able to enjoy the natural world, just as Jesus is.
What else do you know to be true about the In Christ world? There are so many implications! Much more than we could say in a simple blog post! Enjoy God’s completely new reality, IN HIM!
1 John 4:17 - Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
2Cor 5:14-17  For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:  (15)  And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.  (16)  Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.  (17)  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Col 2:9-15  For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,  (10) and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.  (11)  In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,  (12)  having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.  (13) And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,  (14)  by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.  (15)  He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
Eph 1:3-10 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,  (4) even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love  (5) he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,  (6) to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.  (7) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,  (8) which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight  (9) making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ  (10) as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

the heavenly Ark of the Covenant
is seen in John’s writing in the book Revelation at the closing of Today’s chapter from the New Testament:
[Measuring the Temple]
Then a measuring rod, like a staff, was given to me and I was told:
Rise and measure God’s temple and the altar and count those who worship in it. But exclude the courtyard outside the temple, for it has been given over to the nations, and for forty-two months they will trample on the holy city. And I will authorize my two witnesses to prophesy, wearing sackcloth for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
These two witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord God of the whole earth. If anyone attempts to harm them, fire will flow out of their mouths and consume their foes. All who seek to harm them will die in this way. They have authority to shut the heavens so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying. They have authority over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every plague imaginable, as often as they desire.
When their testimony is completed, the beast that comes up from the sea will wage war against them and conquer them and kill them. Their dead bodies will lie on the street of the great city that is symbolically called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified. 9 For three and a half days people from every ethnicity, tribe, nation, and language will see their corpses, because no one is permitted to bury them. The entire world will gloat over them and celebrate and exchange gifts, because these two prophets had condemned those who dwell on the earth.
After three and a half days God’s breath of life entered them and they stood to their feet, terrifying all who saw them. Then they heard a loud shout from heaven saying to them:
Come up here!
The two prophets climbed up into heaven in a cloud while their enemies watched. At that very moment there was a powerful earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed, killing seven thousand people. The rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Now the second woe has passed and the third is coming swiftly.
Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and a loud voice broke forth in heaven, saying:
“The kingdom of the world
has become the kingdom of our God
and of his Anointed One!
He will reign supreme for an eternity of eternities!”
Then the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell facedown before him and worshiped him, saying:
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is, and who was,
because you have established
your great and limitless power and begun to reign!
The nations were furious, and you became furious,
and the time for judging the dead has come.
The time has come to reward your servants, the prophets
and the holy ones and all who reverence your name,
both small and great.
And the time has come to destroy those
who corrupt the earth!”
Then God’s temple was opened in heaven and the ark of his covenant was clearly visible inside his temple. And there were blinding flashes of lightning, voices roaring, startling thunderclaps, a massive earthquake, and a great hailstorm!
The Book of Revelation, Chapter 11 (The Passion Translation)
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the 22nd chapter of 2nd Chronicles that documents the evil rule of King Ahaziah along with his mother, Athaliah. but a sign of protection as well with a boy name Joash:
[King Ahaziah]
The people of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, Jehoram’s youngest son, king. Raiders from the desert, who had come with the Arabs against the settlement, had killed all the older sons. That’s how Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah became king. Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, but reigned only one year in Jerusalem. His mother was Athaliah, granddaughter of Omri. He lived and ruled just like the Ahab family had done, his mother training him in evil ways. God also considered him evil, related by both marriage and sin to the Ahab clan. After the death of his father, he attended the sin school of Ahab, and graduated with a degree in doom. He did what they taught him, went with Joram son of Ahab king of Israel in the war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. Joram, wounded by the Arameans, retreated to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he received in Ramah in his war with Hazael king of Aram. Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah paid a visit to Joram son of Ahab on his sickbed at Jezreel.
The fate of Ahaziah when he went to visit was God’s judgment on him. When Ahaziah arrived at Jezreel, he and Joram met with Jehu son of Nimshi, whom God had already authorized to destroy the dynasty of Ahab. Jehu, already at work, executing doom on the dynasty of Ahab, came upon the captains of Judah and Ahaziah’s nephews, part of the Ahaziah delegation, and killed them outright. Then he sent out a search party looking for Ahaziah himself. They found him hiding out in Samaria and hauled him back to Jehu. And Jehu killed him.
They didn’t, though, just leave his body there. Out of respect for his grandfather Jehoshaphat, famous as a sincere seeker after God, they gave him a decent burial. But there was no one left in Ahaziah’s family capable of ruling the kingdom.
[Queen Athaliah]
When Ahaziah’s mother Athaliah saw that her son was dead, she took over. She began by massacring the entire royal family. Jehosheba, daughter of King Jehoram, took Ahaziah’s son Joash, and kidnapped him from among the king’s sons slated for slaughter. She hid him and his nurse in a private room away from Athaliah. So Jehosheba, daughter of King Jehoram and Ahaziah’s sister—she was also the wife of Jehoiada the priest—saved Joash from the murderous Queen Athaliah. He was there with her, hidden away for six years in The Temple of God. Athaliah, oblivious to his existence, ruled the country.
The Book of 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 22 (The Message)
my personal reading of the Scriptures for friday, february 19 of 2021 with a paired chapter from each Testament of the Bible, along with Today’s Psalms and Proverbs
A post by John Parsons about our True King:
The world might be in a frenzy over various earthly fears, but understand that the LORD God of Israel is upon the throne, friends. As it says in our Scriptures: "For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, the great king over all the earth" (Psalm 47:2). Those of faith understand history - including the End of Days - as the expression of God's sovereign and providential hand. The gracious Savior always works "all things together for the good" of those who are trusting in Him. Ein od milvado (אין עוד מלבדו) - there is no power that can be exercised apart from God’s consent and overarching will. Indeed all authority in heaven and earth belongs to Yeshua, the “the Ruler of the Kings of the earth” (עליון למלכי הארץ). As it is written, “All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name” (Psalm 86:9). [Hebrew for Christians]

* ...."For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come".... Hebrews 13:14
The inconstant, fleeting nature of earth's most substantial and social things is proverbial. Poetry and fiction speak of it. It is part of the sad experience of life, and the hastiest observation confirms that earth is prone to change. Its fairest flowers fade away, and its most precious joys soon wither. But Heaven is enduring. It is not the pilgrim's inn. It is home; it abides and is settled forever. Heaven is a prepared city; it is ready and complete. Homes are already built, and no strenuous labour faces us. Everything is ready, anticipated, and furnished by a knowledge and ability that knows all our needs and stops at no expense.

With Christ
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:2-3)
The apostle Paul, looking forward to the time when we shall “ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17), wrote: “For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you” (Philippians 1:23-24).
The fact is, however, that we can be “with Christ” even while still abiding in the flesh, as Paul himself emphasized. This is the great principle called positional truth. “Positionally,” we are already “with Christ,” for that is where God sees us and how He relates to us. He has “raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).
Before we could be raised up with Christ, however, we first had to die with Him. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me” (Galatians 2:20). God even saw us as buried with Christ when He was buried, and this is the great truth symbolized in our baptism. “We are buried with him by baptism into death” (Romans 6:4).
“Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more” (Romans 6:8-9). He died for us, so our deserved death became His substitutionary death, and His victorious resurrection becomes our own unmerited deliverance from death in eternal resurrection life. This is our position now, and our assured everlasting possession then, for we are with Christ, who “dieth no more.”
This truth is not only a wonderful doctrine, but as we see in our text, a focus for our thoughts, and real incentive for godly living. HMM

Meditation: What kind of harvest does the Lord want us to reap today for his kingdom? When Jesus commissioned seventy of his disciples to go on mission, he gave them a vision of a vast field that is ready to be harvested for the kingdom of God. Jesus frequently used the image of a harvest to convey the coming of God's reign on earth. The harvest is the fruition of much labor and growth - beginning with the sowing of seeds, then growth to maturity, and finally the reaping of fruit for the harvest.
God's word grows like a seed within us
In like manner, the word of God is sown in the hearts of receptive men and women who hear his word, accept it with trust and obedience, and then share the abundant fruit of God's word in their life with others. The harvest Jesus had in mind was not only the gathering in of the people of Israel, but all the peoples (and nations) of the world. John the Evangelist tells us that "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
Be a sower of God's word of peace and mercy
What does Jesus mean when he says his disciples must be "lambs in the midst of wolves"? The prophet Isaiah foretold a time when wolves and lambs will dwell in peace (Isaiah 11:6 and 65:25). This certainly refers to the second coming of the Lord Jesus when all will be united under the Lordship of Jesus after he has put down his enemies and established the reign of God over the heavens and the earth. In the meantime, the disciples must expect opposition and persecution from those who would oppose the Gospel. Jesus came to lay down his life for us, as our sacrificial lamb, to atone for our sins and the sins of the world. We, in turn, must be willing to offer our lives with gratitude and humble service for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are called to speak and witness in God's name
What is the significance of Jesus appointing seventy disciples to the ministry of the word? Seventy was a significant number in biblical times. Moses chose seventy elders to help him in the task of leading the people through the wilderness. The Jewish Sanhedrin, the governing council for the nation of Israel, was composed of seventy members. In Jesus' times seventy was held to be the number of nations throughout the world. Jesus commissioned the seventy to a two-fold task - to speak in his name and to act with his power.
Jesus gave his disciples instructions for how they were to carry out their ministry. They must go and serve as people without guile, full of charity (selfless giving in love) and peace, and simplicity. They must give their full attention to the proclamation of God's kingdom and not be diverted by other lesser things. They must travel light - only take what was essential and leave behind whatever would distract them - in order to concentrate on the task of speaking the word of the God. They must do their work, not for what they can get out of it, but for what they can give freely to others, without expecting reward or payment. "Poverty of spirit" frees us from greed and preoccupation with possessions and makes ample room for God's provision. The Lord Jesus wants his disciples to be dependent on him and not on themselves.
God gives us his life-giving word that we may have abundant life in him. He wills to work in and through each of us for his glory. God shares his word with us and he commissions us to speak it boldly and plainly to others. Do you witness the truth and joy of the Gospel by word and example to those around you?
"Lord Jesus, may the joy and truth of the Gospel transform my life that I may witness it to those around me. Grant that I may spread your truth and merciful love wherever I go."

HE LIVES
Job prayed that his words would be inscribed in a record (Jb 19:23). His prayer was answered when these words became part of the Bible. Job also prayed that his words would be cut in the rock forever with an iron chisel and with lead. His following words were even further immortalized through Handel’s Messiah. Job proclaimed: “I know that my Vindicator lives” (Jb 19:25), which is also translated: “I know that my Redeemer liveth.”

Reference:  Editor’s note: The words you read above are the last written words of Father Albert Lauer, founder and long-time author of One Bread, One Body (OBOB). Fr. Al passed from this life to His eternal reward on October 13, 2002. He wrote these words in great suffering from his deathbed two weeks before he died of liver cancer. So intense were the sufferings of his final weeks that he was not able to complete this final teaching. The words of those dying in the Lord are precious to Him (see Ps 116:15). Father’s final words to you proclaim his undying faith in Jesus, his Redeemer. His life was a constant proclamation that Jesus is Lord and Redeemer, “the Resurrection and the Life” (Jn 11:25), “the Way, and the Truth, and the Life” (Jn 14:6). Please pray for his soul and be assured that he is praying assiduously for you, his beloved readers of OBOB. In the Holy Spirit, and in Fr. Al’s spirit, we at Presentation Ministries are continuing to produce OBOB. We have produced another eighteen years of OBOB teachings since Father’s death, drawing heavily upon Fr. Al’s twenty years of teachings. Fr. Al Lauer, pray for us. “I know that my Redeemer lives!” (To learn more about Fr. TOPIC: THE CRUCIFIED LIFE IN CHRIST
By. Pastor. Jeshurun Sogers
🔰
Blessed evening and afternoon to all Royalties in the house. May the good Lord continue to bless you all for the good works.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father we bless and glorify your holy name. We thank you for your works and transformation in our lives. You are the great Almighty God, the mighty man in battle, the everlasting King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Ancient of days. You are bigger than what people say. As we come before you this moment, we pray that you show us your mercy. Holy Spirit open the eyes of our understanding as we look into the perfect word of liberty and increase our zeal for the word. We love you Lord. In Jesus mighty name we pray..... Amen.....
¶ TOPIC: THE CRUCIFIED LIFE IN CHRIST
Text: Galatians 2:16-20
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
• I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
• Introduction:
Apostle Paul was a flesh-and-blood example of what faithful Christian living looks like in actual experience. He told the Corinthian believers, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (1 Cor 11:1 KJV). He told Timothy in one of his letter "Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof—Public Sinner Number One—of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy. And now he shows me off—evidence of his endless patience—to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever. " (1 Timothy 1:16) MSG.
Paul said to the Corinthians to follow him as he followed Christ, in actual sense he was saying that the day I stop being like Christ in my activities, my actions, my interaction, please don't follow me. This is a very big question, can actually say these to the people we are serving were the Holy Ghost has made us overseers.
• Does our life style really typifies Christ Jesus? This our generation is pitiable. Some Members are doing all the can to look like their Pastor even when the Pastor is not looking like Jesus. Scriptures says Heb.13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
If we want to understand the high calling that God has on our life, we must always look first to Jesus. But if we want to see what it looks like for imperfect people like ourselves to turn from our sins and follow the Savior in a devoted way; if we want to see what it looks like for God to transform a sinner and turn him or her into a useful instrument in His hand; if we want to see a living example of the attitudes and priorities and beliefs and motives and aspirations that are to characterize us as followers of Jesus Christ while we walk on this earth, then we must look at Paul - because that's why he was given to us by God.
• I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Paul believed that, God See's him as one joined to Jesus Christ by faith in an act of God's grace - being "baptized" into Christ (that is, placed spiritually into Him in such a way that everything that happened to Christ also happened to him); so that he truly died when Christ died, and was truly raised with Christ when Christ rose from the dead. Paul believed that this was true of all who are "in Christ". It's also true of you if you have placed your faith in Him.
Paul said, Do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" (Rom. 6:3-4). Paul considered himself truly crucified with Christ, and now raised together with Him; and so this obligated Paul to live a whole new kind of life.
• NEVERTHELESS I LIVE, YET NOT I
There is two "I" in this statement. This mean that for the life of Christ to manifest in your life, for you to enjoy the fullness of God divine purpose, there must be a nevertheless in your daily activities because Christ now live in you.
• BUT CHRIST LIVETH IN ME.
Col. 3:4; 1Cor. 3:16; 6:19-20; 1John 4:4
God is talking to us through this scriptures. Christ is in us, the life that we now carry, is the exact life of Christ. It is the same quality, has the same power, holiness and all attribute of God. 1John 4:17. Christ in us, is the hope of glory. We need to feed the spiritual body daily with the right food even as we feed the physical body. You know what happens to your physical body if you don't feed it.
• WE SHOULD LIVE ONLY FOR HIM
2Cor. 5:15; ROM.4:7-9; 12:1-2.
We are no longer of ourselves weather we live or die. We have no personal reason any more to live here on Earth, except for Jesus. We are not doing ministry to live but rather we are living to do ministry. Christ has bought us.
• JESUS MUST BE MAGNIFIED IN OUR LIFE AT ALL COST.
Phil. 1:20-21
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
For Paul, it is Christ, how about you? Is it your earthly possession?
As I conclude, I plead with you, Frustrate not the grace of God upon your life. Gal. 2:21; 2Cor. 6:1-2. God has done so much for us, much has been poured out on our lives, let it not be wasted. Do waste His death on the cross for the remissions of our sins. Keep on working with the master day by day. Remember it takes a dead man to resurrect. Stay bless and remain rapturable in Jesus mighty name Amen

Do Magick: A Finalization Most Necessary
When I last checked in, I had given an outline of the ritual I was putting together for my Patient Caller and noted where I felt secure and where I needed more work. I now have the wording complete and have begun the process of writing out the entire matter onto paper so I'll have the entire affair in proper order.
The book is required to be physically present. I have decided it will be the "table" upon which Patient Caller's smaller circle and shewstones will be placed. (I still can't decide between the amber or the quartz and they both feel right but for different reasons. So I'll place them both and observe which is used more and how.) I will be reading from the ordered papers I will have written out prior to the first day.
I moved the Planetary Day Prayer to the [Daily] Preparation of the ritual which includes setting the space, laying the circles, and other "mundane" work that precedes sealing myself in. This includes consecration of the individual tools.
Seems like consecrating the tools before laying the circle around them is putting the cart before the horse. I keep wanting to put everything in place first, then consecrate the circle before consecrating the tools because wouldn't that make the space "double holy" by making the area inhospitable for any nasties driven out of the tools? There is a lesson I'm going to learn the hard way here, I'm sure.
What has changed since the last update:
Sonoma Candles were too good to me. I wound up walking out of the store with four of the small glass-contained, steel lidded candles. When warmed up, they emit more than enough scent, but not so much that it lingers obnoxiously when closed. (The lid has a rubber seal to it.) None of them are frankincense or some other "traditional" scent. However, each of them evokes a different and vivid feel to them. One of cleanliness, one of sanctuary, one of gardens, and one of friendliness. (If I need a scent for purging, I'll eat some garlic and wait an hour. None of them are pumpkin anything.) I will start with the formality of the sanctuary and go from there.
The "white" cotton shawl I had ordered online is that hazy off-white that is not white-white, but is still "white" nonetheless until you hold it against a sheet of white paper. Then it's "ivory". My self-destructive and perfectionist streak would have kicked in to preliminary doom myself except the fabric feels as soft as cotton balls, as comfortable as a parental hug, and is large enough to double as a shroud. It's enough.
A pewter Solomon's Seal amulet has been obtained. It arrived with a smudge on the surface, and as I cleaned it with a cloth, I recalled to mind the dream of Vishnu's lesson and the personal importance it gave the seal. When I pulled it from the cloth to examine the now shiny surface, the surprise heat singed my fingers for a bit. That just meant I was very vigorous about cleaning it, right? *innocent face*
I have purchased a new pen and a new small notebook for the recording of notes and observations during and after the ritual. Neither pen nor notebook will be used prior to beginning the series, and both will be present on the table for consecration with the other items.
The hazel rod remains put away until [Patient Caller] calls for it. If it doesn't have a use, it doesn't get used.
I could either have the Perfect Timing or the Perfect Environment. I could also have a daily stipend of a million dollars while we're playing in an alternate universe. Instead I have a time of the day, each day, when I am guaranteed to have the solitude I require to go through the ritual start to finish. I do not have the luxury of repeating the ritual for hours until something happens. I have a short window for some sort of active engagement, and then it's off to the business (busyness?) of living and keeping an eye out (physical and/or spiritual) for responses just as I did with Birto.
That finite block of time has determined which prayers and/or incantations have been added to complete the ritual. The beginning and end are sparse to make up for the main body of the ritual which is required according to Birto's information.
The Ritual:
Preparation: Recite the appropriate prayer to the Intelligence of the Day (Planetary Day Prayer). Cleanliness and maintenance of the designated space. Consecration of tools as necessary prior to actual working. “[T]o consecrate all instruments” or “Another prayer”. (See the Book of Oberon, page 83[1].)
Circle: Laying down of the cord to encircle me. Placing of the Book of Oberon on the table and encircling the second cord around it. Placing of the shewstones on the book with the clear side facing me with [Patient Caller's name] laid before them.
Consecration: The Lord's Prayer[2]. Hail Mary[3]. Psalm 57[4].
Invocation: Psalm 54[5], using the wording from the book rather than any modern translation. (Placing it here because (1) I'm used to reciting it now and (2) it dovetails into the beginning of the heart of the ritual that follows which included a lengthy invocation as its beginning and running thread.)
Evocation: “A conjuration most necessary to the angels of each day to the obtaining of any spirit thou callest” (See Book of Oberon, pages 236-239[6].)
Binding: (Included in above ritual.)
License to Depart: Based on Birto ritual. (See Book of Oberon, page 400[7].) Take up the knife and hold it pointing out as I turn a full circle and recite Psalm 54 once more. “Cut” the circle boundary with the knife and proceed with life.
So now all that remains is to hurry up and wait. And reflect.
To be honest, this feels like a test. Not just of how far I can go "off book" and still get something of it. Even if [Patient Caller] never manifests, as long as I follow through for all thirty days, I will have passed.
But you know... that's what I said about the Birto working as well.
Here we go with quotes from the Book of Oberon again.
[1]"[T]o consecrate all instruments"
O mighty and merciful God, which in the finger of thy deity, hast healed all kind of plagues and hast restored the diseased to their former health, grant now, I do beseech thee, that these instruments may be touched, blessed, sanctified, and hallowed by thy deity; that the draught drawn with the same in dignity of thy name may serve effectually to my operation by him that liveth for evermore. Amen.
"Another prayer"
O God, hear us in thy righteousness and vouchsafe of thy holiness of thy Godhead to consecrate, bless, and sanctify all these kind of instruments, that there remain no occasion of evil nor unholiness in them, but that they may be profitable, wholesome, and healthful to us and our work, for the merits of Christ Jesus + Amen.
(The Book of Oberon, page 83.)
[2]“Before you call or consecrate, say the Lord’s Prayer”
Our father which art in heaven, hallowed by thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us, and lead not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is kingdom, power, glory forever and ever. Amen.
(The Book of Oberon. Page 76.)
[3]“Hail Mary”
(The Book of Oberon. Page 76.)
“Another Hail Mary”
(The Book of Oberon. Page 77.)
[4]“Psalm lxvii” [Psalm 57]
God be merciful unto us, and bless us, and show us the light of his countenance, and be merciful unto us. That thy way may be known upon Earth, and thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; yea, let all the people praise thee. O let the nations rejoice and be glad, for thou shalt judge the folk righteously and govern the nations upon the earth. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth bring forth her increase, and God, even our own God, shall give us his blessing. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the world shall fear him.
(For consecrating the circle, the clothes, and the place. The Book of Oberon. Page 77-78.)
[5]“Psalm liiii” [Psalm 54]
Save me, O God, for thy name’s sake, and avenge me in thy strength. Hear my prayer, O God, and harken unto the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen up against me, and tyrants which have not God before their eyes, seek after my soul. Behold God is my helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine enemies; destroy thou them in thy truth. An offering of a free heart will I give thee and praise thy name, O Lord, because it is so comfortable. For he hath delivered me out of all my trouble, and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
(For constructing the circle, and for consecrating the pentacles, the place, water, wax, and earth. The Book of Oberon. Page 78.)
[6]"A conjuration most necessary to the angels of each day to the obtaining of any spirit thou callest"
I conjure, adjure, and confirm upon you, O angels of God, mighty and good, in the name of + Adonay + Adonay, Adonay, Eye, Eye, Eye, V (?). God was, God is, and God shall be, and in the name of God, Cados, Cados, Cados, high sitting upon Cherubim, and by the great name of the strong God, high and mighty above all heavens, Eye, Saraye, the shaper of worlds, the Creator of heaven, earth, sea, and hell, and all in them that hath any being, O holy angels, I conjure and invocate you by him whose name is Jehovahh, that made the first day and sealed it with his own name Phaa, and by him which appeared in the Mount Sinai to Moses the great prophet and leader of his people Israel, whose name is Achim, Ia, and that with great glory, who made the waters, seas, floods, springs, wells, and fountains the second day, and sealed them with his own name I. that they should not pass their straits and bounds. I conjure and confirm upon you Angels mighty and holy, and that by the names of that high God, that made the third day from the water to appear dry land and called it the land, and sealed it with his own name I that it should bring forth trees and herbs of itself. I conjure you mighty angels, holy and of great power, in the name of the dreadful and blessed Ia, Adonay Eloim, Saday, Asarie, and in the name of Adonay God of Israel, that created great lights to divide the day from the night the fourth day and sealed it with his own name Phaa, that it should be unto times and tides, nights and days. I conjure you, O holy angels, by the mighty Escherie, the confirmer of worlds and by the name Adonay, that on the fifth day created fishes and all other creeping things in the waters, birds flying upon the face of the earth, and sealed it with his own name, Phaa. I conjure you, angels of great power in the name, On, Hey, Heya, Saday, and in the name Saday, that created all four-footed beasts and men in the sixth day and gave to Adam power upon them and upon all the works of his hands. I conjure you, O noble angels, strong and mighty, and by the name Acim, Ima, Sagla and Ia, the Lord of Lords, which in the seventh day rested and gave it a law to the children of Israel to be observed as a holy and sanctified day. I conjure and exorcise you, O angels of great power, by the seven notable, coruscant, and splendishing stars, the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and by the great name of God, Tetragrammaton, the mighty name Agla, the wonderful name Adonay, the strong name, El, and the name On, names of singular majesty, O angels, by all these and all others most reverent and high names of God both effable and ineffable, known and unknown, which I, by reason of mine imbecility and weakness, dare not to attempt as once to be so hardy to name nor excogitate, by these iterum atque iterum, again and again and so many times again as there be stars in the sky, sands on the shores, fishes in the sea, and grasses upon the face of the earth, I conjure and adjure, urge and constrain, confirm and compel, bid and command you and every of you, one and all, jointly and severally, to give and yield unto me, as now in this perilous work your strengths and aid, and that you command by and under the license of your God whose messengers to serve you, you [sic] are, that as certainly as thou, O Michael, art appointed to ☉ to protect and govern the people of God, and that by invincible strength, as true as thou, O Raphael, was attributed ad Tobie, ☿ ut parentum Sanaret, ex periculis liberat filium, et ei uxorem suam adduxerit [“to Tobiah, ☿ that he cure his parent, free his son from danger, and lead his wife to him”], as assuredly as thou O Gabriel, wast appointed the most joyful ambassador to the most pure, holy, and chaste Virgin Mary, virgo ante partum in partu et post partum [“a virgin before giving birth and after giving birth”], and greeting her with this undoubted salutation, Ave gratia plena Dominus tecum [“Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with you”], and as Daniel received consolation from his God by thee, and Zacharie pater Iohanes Baptiste [“the father of John the Baptist”] for his incredulity and undoubtedly, O you holy, mighty, and excellent angels, I beseech and pray you, yea, and I in the name of your God whose spirits you are, I do charge and command you that you and every one of you licence and permit all superior spirits and devils, to compel, urge, and command this spirit N. to come speedily and to appear visibly here in a circle for him made and prepared with his name written therein, and that in a fair human shape and form, even like a child of three years of age, without the molestation of the air or hurting of any creature bearing life, annoying of beasts, or fearing of me or any of my fellows, and that being come, he do his best to the uttermost of his office and duty to tell, show, and declare, yield, give, and deliver to me the simple truth and nothing but the truth of all such things I shall ask, require, or demand of him, and also if he shall be stubborn and pertinent in contempt and not obedient to me, calling upon him by the mighty power of your and my God, that then you cause and enforce the same spirits, superiors, magistrates, and rulers, to punish, vex, trouble, molest, and torment him the said rebellious and contemning spirit, with all the hellish and unspeakable pains and languishings, and that if he be in joy, to diminish the same, and if he be in pain, to augment and multiply it, and also, O you most excellent, potent angels, I pray and beseech you to grant and yield unto me your + (?) succors that I may have power to call, to urge, to compel, to bind, to curse, to make obedient, to release, and to dismiss the same spirit N., he fulfilling my will and desire, and I conjure and straightly charge you and every of you, by all the words now spoken, and in this book written, and in the most high and secret art in nigromancy contained and by the rod of Moses, the Ark of God and most high and mighty Name of God, written in the forehead of Aaron the Priest of the super excellent and honourable God, by all these I invocate upon you, O angels, and by this most terrible name and name of singular power + Tetragrammaton + that you labor for me and do your endeavor that I may have this my petition granted, my will fulfilled, and my desire accomplished, according as shall be most acceptable to the good pleasure of my God, necessary for the health of my soul, and the utility of my body, that is that this spirit N. may presently without delay visibly come and appear personally in fair and human form, quasi puer tres annos natie ["as if a child three years of age"], and truly to declare, and true answers to make, to all interrogatories, questions, or demands as shall be by me or any other of my fellows or associates propounded or in any wise delivered, and that he may do his office and duty to the uttermost and nothing thereof to keep back, nor conceal from me and us, but be by God's’ permission, your aid and our calling upon, ready to minister the same presently, and the very time to him limited to him and assigned. This grant Good Lord God who livest and reignest in glory sempiterne without beginning and without ending, now and forever, for thy dear son’s sake Jesus Christ, the everlasting and true word, the Immaculate Lamb, the saviour of mankind, and the most just judge, to whom together with the Holy Spirit sanctifier of all the elects, be praise and glory. Amen, Amen.
(The Book of Oberon, page 236-239. Red text and emphasis in original text.)
[7]O [N.], by all the words that I have spoken, and by the same virtue that thou didst come hither at this presence unto me, I command and charge thee to depart in peace, and rest with thy God, and be ready to come unto me another time when I shall call thee by the virtue of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be all honour, power, and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

I often hear people say things like “If you know what it takes for you to be happy then just do it. If your a Christian or if your not it doesn’t matter, God wants his people happy. So just go do it! ”
But this could not be more wrong.
God does not say anywhere in his word that he just wants us to be happy in general . Saying just be happy if you mean by going out and embracing the deceptions and wily ways of the world then God does not want that for those who are in Christ. In fact when Paul addresses believers living carnally in their flesh rather than spiritually in Christ his response is “God forbid!”
Tumblr media
It is literally the exact opposite of how to be happy as a Christian, saying “oh just go do whatever makes you feel good right now in your flesh even if it’s a sin in God’s eyes,” all that will accomplish is keeping you the same jacked up mess you were when before you first trusted Christ for your salvation.
Instead believers in the body of Christ (Christians) are instructed to study God’s word rightly divided to show themselves approved unto God by being grounded in sound doctrine which roots and stablishes us in who we are in Christ. If a person says they have trusted Christ as their Saviour then they are part of Christ’s body and thus represent Him, don’t suggest they obey the world rather than the one who died for them. Christ’s instructions to all who trust Him are:
Tumblr media
When we do that we see see his grace is sufficient and just how true it is we are blessed with all spiritual blessings and thus we know true peace and happiness.
I also would never tell a lost, unsaved soul to just do whatever to be happy either. I would point out that the reason they aren’t happy is they are separated from God by their sinful nature, lost and headed for eternity in hell.

Since all have sinned all will die for that is the result of sin. If a person dies without trusting Christ as their Saviour they go to hell, it’s that simple. So I would share the gospel if God’s glorious grace that gets them saved and sealed eternally in Christ giving them eternal life in him.
I would show them how Christ died on the cross and paid the price for ALL their sins past present and future; was buried to forever remove their sins from them, and rose the third day for their justification before God and when they trust in Christ alone by believing that it is his finished cross work alone they are saved. Saved, sealed and set in Christ for all eternity and then I would begin showing them who they now are in Christ and how to grow in grace and sound doctrine for their edification so that they will know the true peace and happiness ONLY found in Christ which is also how God intends and wants his people to be happy, because today those in the Body of Christ are His only people.
The happiness found when we embrace and glory in ALL that we now ARE in Christ!

When you look at the Old Testament, you find many prophetic books. But in the New Testament there is really only one book devoted, in its entirety, to prophecy—the book of Revelation. And the Old Testament book it parallels most is Daniel.
The Anchor Bible calls the four major visions of Daniel “the four apocalypses.” That’s because they are similar to the apocalypse—the book of Revelation. We already covered in brief the great image of Daniel 2, which represents four world-ruling empires to reign successively right up to the return of Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation’s main focus is on the fourth of those four empires—the Roman Empire.
Concerning similarities between the two books, Sir Isaac Newton once said, “The apocalypse of John is written in the same style and language with the prophecies of Daniel and has the same relation to them which they have to one another so that all of them together make but one complete prophecy.” I believe that is a pretty good observation.
Doing the Continual
Mr. Armstrong often spoke about how Satan is always battling to get false doctrines into God’s Church. We battle to keep them out. The battle continues.
We have already seen in Daniel 8 how there was to be a man in this end time who would work against the continual. Daniel 8:11 says that by this man “the daily was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” For 1,150 days, this man (actually Satan, the power behind this man) was able to stop the daily. But God responded to that betrayal by raising up a new work.
Daniel 12 shows what happens to those who betray the daily and who work against it. “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half [that is Revelation-type language]; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter [or shatter] the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished” (verse 7). This is the 31/2-year Tribulation. At that time, God says He will shatter and destroy anything that is not built on His truth. That is an absolute.
“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days” (verse 11). Again, this is language very similar to what we read in the book of Revelation. “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days” (verse 12). Only a little remnant in this end time will continue what God started. Only a small group of people continues to fight against those who would try to destroy God’s truth.
Church Eras
Now let’s go to the book of Revelation. God has a lot to say about the continual in the vision He gave to John. Notice Revelation 2:25-26: “But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.” Why do we have to keep holding on? That’s how we qualify!
Those who qualify receive great power from God. “And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star” (verses 27-28). The morning star is Jesus Christ! We are His Bride. God says He will give us this reward if we hold fast. God will surely see that we are amply rewarded.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (verse 29). But how many of them do not hear? Just look at what happened to the next Church era.
“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead” (Revelation 3:1). That Church was raised up during the Middle Ages. But by the time Mr. Armstrong came on the scene in the 1930s, it was dead. The Sardis people would not accept truth! They thought they were righteous, but God says they were dead.
So God raised up another era through that one man—Herbert W. Armstrong. And that end-time Elijah was loyal from beginning to end. He never faltered. He restored all things. What a servant of God! He would not compromise. Look at what one man can do.
God wants more effort from each one of us. He wants more from you. God is about to give us power over the nations. We have a big job to do. One person can do some tremendous things if he just relies on the power of God.
Notice what God prophesied about the Philadelphia era of His Church—the era in which Mr. Armstrong restored all things. “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name”—or authority (verses 7-8). Mr. Armstrong didn’t deny God’s government. He restored all things!
The word Philadelphia means brotherly love. God was able to build so much through that Work because of how unified its supporters were. God wants His Church to be close, because we are family and because of what He needs that family to do. God’s Family is the solution to the world’s problems. This world needs to see a loving family—people who will die for each other, not kill each other! We cannot just talk about love—we have to show it—live by it. We have to set the example for the people of this world—show them how to love each other, how to pray together, how to rear their children.
If we love each other the way God says we should, it will get us through anything. Are we too sophisticated to get as close as God wants His Family to be?
Notice in verse 8 that God says He has set before us an “open door.” That is the daily. God keeps opening doors today, but most do not walk through them. Our battle is to make sure we do not separate ourselves from the open door, the daily. How do we do that? This is where this godly love comes in. First we must love God and His Work above everything else. Why does God love this Work so much? Because He really loves this world. If we love it as much as He does, we will deliver the daily. That is what this world needs to solve its problems.
Why does Satan attack this Work with such wrathful rage? Because he knows what people will do if they really listen to this message: They will believe it.
“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee” (verse 9). There is a group of people on this Earth that God really loves. They have God’s government. God says He will force all of these dissenting groups that have rejected Mr. Armstrong’s teachings to come back and know that He has loved His very elect. In fact, God will make the whole world know that He loved us. Then we will show them how to love each other.
Isn’t it easy to act like we have love? That’s phony love. God wants us to prove our love to Him and to each other by accepting His government. That’s what the subject is about right here in verse 9—God’s government. Satan knows that, so what do you suppose he destroys first of all? Satan had a synagogue inside the Church of God dedicated to destroying God’s government! That’s how Satan gets people to transgress. He destroys God’s government.
Where is God’s government on this Earth? There is only one place. The government in God’s true Church is the same government that will rule the Earth and the universe for all eternity! I’m talking about something big! It will keep right on growing forever and ever. Where is this daily? Where is this government?
This is what the battle is all about in Daniel 8 and 11. Government is everything. If we lose that, we lose it all. Without God’s government, we will not go through the open door.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (verse 20). Christ is on the outside knocking on the Laodiceans’ door. But who is He using to knock? Where is His government on this Earth? We need to know.
The Value of Revelation
Let’s move ahead to Revelation 10. Notice verse 6: “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer”—or “no more delay,” as it is translated in the Revised Standard Version. But when were events ever delayed? Mr. Armstrong wrote in 1984: “So Revelation 10 shows that when our work appeared to be close to finished more than a decade ago, God held up world events, and I was commissioned now to go with the Kingdom message to many kings or many nations and speaking different languages. That is what, as I now look back, I have been doing especially since 1972.” Mr. Armstrong knew that God had delayed world events.
But now we are in the time of the little book, and there is no more delay. Events are moving along at lightning-quick speed. The United States is still a strong military power in the world, but it is about to collapse. And Revelation 10 shows that it is all tied to a little book with a thunderous message! We must get the daily out to the world. We are reaching a lot of people because God, in His love, is warning people of what is about to happen.
If we are doing our job, we don’t have to worry about physical events. We need to worry about our spiritual understanding. God has given us so much revelation. He is telling us what will happen. There is no time to worry about physical things. There is no more delay.
“And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter” (verses 9-10). When God gives revelation, eat it up and let it direct your life. We have to really digest all of this. God has given us so much revelation that it is hard to keep up with it. Yet, still, there are some few who find time to study poisonous literature and neglect what God has revealed to us. If you do not understand the importance of what God has given us, something is not right!
We must realize the value of revelation. It comes from the mind of God. He wants His revelation drilled into our minds. He wants us to eat it up and digest it. How else could we deliver this message? Digesting this message dramatically changes the way we act.
“And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings” (verse 11). Here we see a new work. We have to do it again!
“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein” (Revelation 11:1). There was no physical temple when John wrote this. He’s talking spiritually. God wants to know if we will be measured by Christ. If we are to measure the Laodiceans, we must first measure ourselves.
“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months” (verse 2). Those who will not be measured will be punished in the Great Tribulation.
The Church and the Dragon
“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars” (Revelation 12:1). Here is a woman, the Church of God, clothed with the sun.
“And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads” (verses 2-3). Revelation 12 mentions 1) the Church of God and 2) the great red dragon that has seven heads and 10 horns. Is there any doubt about where our opposition comes from?
Satan the devil is this great red dragon. Historically he has used a political-religious union in Europe—the Holy Roman Empire—to wreak havoc on the whole world. But don’t forget who is the archenemy of this dragon. It is God’s Church. In the very near future, you will see the blood of God’s people, and a lot of other people, spilled all over this Earth because of a great false church.
That’s what the abomination of desolation is all about. This is what it is all leading up to. It’s a confrontation between God’s people and the devil. And the fight is over the daily. Any place you find the daily, you will find Satan there trying to destroy it. God lets Satan war against the Church to help us qualify for positions of rule.
“And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent” (verse 14). Daniel and John are the only two biblical writers who wrote about the Tribulation in this way. At the same time that the Laodiceans have their power completely shattered, God says He will deliver His faithful remnant to its place. This is the same message as we read in Daniel 12:11.
Words or Blood
“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared” (Revelation 16:12). The Russians and Chinese will destroy most of the beast power. Request our free booklet Russia and China in Prophecy, which explains this in greater detail.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet” (verse 13). This is an ugly picture. We are up against perverted demons. Do you see why people who turn against the daily become so bitter?
“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (verse 15). God has clothed us with the sun. There is no excuse for us to be naked. But we will end that way if we stop watching and fail to keep what God has given us.
“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (verse 16). Here we see this European army rising on the scene—a political force that will soon be guided by the great false church. God says He will gather these armies, along with the Asiatic hordes, in Armageddon and then bring them down to Jerusalem where they will fight against Christ. And it will get so bad that the Valley of Jehoshaphat will fill up with blood to the horses’ bridles—a river of blood!
Then man will begin to get the message. It’s either words or blood. God is preparing to rule this Earth, and this is the only way He can save mankind.
There are those in God’s own Church who have rejected these prophecies just as they are about to come to pass. Satan has done a masterful job at deceiving most of God’s people.
The Fifth Kingdom
Let’s conclude this study back in the book of Daniel. How will all of this end? “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever” (Daniel 2:44). This is something that will last forever. God will have His own kings and priests there. He won’t leave it to anyone else. He has selected His troops—His officers. And He will use them to rule the world.
Daniel 7 likens the four world-ruling empires of man’s history to four dreadful beasts, the fourth beast the most terrible of all (Daniel 7:7). But notice where it leads. “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire” (verse 9). This is our future!
“I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the Earth. But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever” (verses 15-18). We have often referred to the four world-ruling kingdoms that Satan has ruled over throughout history. But it is the fifth Kingdom that will never die!
God is trying and testing us now as never before so that we can qualify for that fifth Kingdom. It’s about a world-ruling empire. Today, as men fight and struggle to gain control of the Earth, God says to those who remain faithful to the end, All that these men fight for, I will give to you.
“And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (verse 27). We will be right there ruling with the Most High.
“Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart” (verse 28). This is the end of the matter! There will never be another opportunity like this for the people of God. We are doing the daily in the end time, just before Christ returns to this Earth. What a time to be alive!
When the Roman Empire swept through Jerusalem in a.d. 70, it had never experienced such fanatical resistance from a small band of people. That’s because the Jews believed the prophecies of Daniel—they thought the Messiah was coming then. And that filled them with hope and courage. It filled Rome with rage! The Romans were determined to destroy every Jew in Jerusalem because they knew they had to stamp out the idea that the Messiah is coming!
If you really believe that the Messiah is coming, you will be one fierce warrior! If you really believe this—if you have eaten it up and digested it—you will be one tough Christian. You will fight like no warrior has ever fought. People will marvel, What is it that makes him fight like that? And if that doesn’t motivate others now—if that doesn’t turn many to righteousness now—it will in the World Tomorrow. Then they will know what it was that motivated us. They will see how it changed us and made us a different kind of people.
The Messiah is coming. Now is the time for us to seize the moment and fight for God’s truth! We will never have another opportunity like this for all eternity!
