since im currently a slime monster (sick) and cant draw or write anything coherently, heres a short list of more things i came up with for the totk rewrite (botw2 edition) (some things may have been mentioned before already):
more weather types (like fog, storm)
specific enemies tha only spawn in certain weather (so you dont encounter all the enemy types constantly, everywhere)
underwater swimming returns! since im removing the building (so it can shine in its own game, ACTUALLY made for it) and added the hookshot as a main movement option i feel like its reasonable to include it (hookshot underwater like in tp is cool!!)
underground (which is more a rly big cave system, and more unique, with few access points) can be filled with water (creepy! cool!)
zora dungeon is absolutely the ancient water thingy (that serves only as single stupid button press for a nonsensical waterfall thing in canon ?????), its a giant structure in part like an aquedukt (? the roman water thing) and the bossfight is in a mostly empty reservoir (bc those things are freaking scary AND cool+ i know there is one where the ones who built it used old statue heads as foundations so ... what if they used botw sonau ruins similarly?)
bosses dont drop any crafting material (so they wont just have ... duplicates stomp around like its normal) and can be refought via an NPC (sort of like its worked in skyward sword) unsure if i should add a new one (like an ancient shiekah monk that just kinda chills in a special place you have to unlock first) or an existing one (impa? koga?? ngl i kinda like that idea lol .. he has funny dialog to each of them that may or may not be true, if you choose one of his fights he is very touched)
(cant think of more right now, i need to lie down, maybe ill add more later- but feel free to comment or add in tags what you think; and just as a disclaimer, i know its getting more and more involved and complicated, but i still dont think it would have been impossible to do, also this is still something that will never be real anyway, so why worry about how 'possible' it is :) )

Unfortunately very distracted with Veilguard still, ngl
So here's more OC thoughts!
Done a rough idea draft of two different starts just so I can stop thinking about Yuki in Thedas so much.
Like the second one better tbh. Instead of Varric running into her in Arlathan and sorta recruiting her, it's Neve asking WTF is up with this kid after the disastrous ritual. And Harding explaining the basics.
My running excuse for Varric not dumping her ass somewhere is that she's So Fucking Weird in general, walking demon/dark spawn/magic bait, and looks kinda eerie that no one he knows would be able to handle that shit. A circle would just experiment on her, a nice couple in the sticks would be fighting off demons, and she actually mostly trusts him.
She's still in the "shy, apologetic for her literal existence kid" phase with bits of "Sass and mildly sadistic tendencies with a gray morality system" peaking through.
Solas' entire "Feel guilty for fucking up my prison transfer and reality warping ritual" turns into him being aggressively reminded this is a literal child that knows very little, doesn't care about him, and only barely registering that she's Kinda Fucked Up Existence Wise.
He's legit going through it whole Yuki can smell Bitch With Ulterior Motives a mile away. And she's salty about Solas stabbing Varric still, AND THEY'RE FRIENDS?!?
Nah, she's fucking with him quite a lot in the start.
"It's ur job now to kill two ancient Elven gods, who are blighted and carry the blight with them like a plague"
"uh... I mean, I guess I'll give it a shot if I run into them??? You said they're gods so like, no idea how well that'll go, but not many things handle being deep freezed so idk"
"I just asked you to commit murder"
"Yeah. A thirteen year old. Can't imagine this is plan A. And since I'm not going anywhere, I have a vested interest in keeping the world Mostly Not Fucked Up."
"Are you up for the task of killing gods, child?"
"Killing isn't hard or special, Solas. You can die by accident."
"They are. Gods. Child."
"Okay, sounds like they won't expect an icicle to the eye socket. Or between the ribs. Or, worse case scenario, I freeze them in water like an ice cube and we all see how well immortality works out for them."
*to himself* "wtf is wrong with this kid??? They refuse to be guilty for ruining my plans, but sure, "I'll kill a god or two on my way around town. Pick up some milk while I'm at it.""
Also, the merits of a conversation negotiating the Crow contract for God killing like
"Okay, I know this is an extra duty and not... Quite his perview. But, and again, not a 24/7 thing, I'd like to add a protection clause. In fights and stuff. Kids a magnet for demons and shit. If they're not gunning for her, they haven't seen her yet. It's weird and, occasionally, very useful."
"... You want to hire a crow to kill blighted gods and... Protect a child."
"Well, if certain parties hear about her... Oddities, she'll also need extra help there too. But yeah."
"Oddities?"
"Oof, where do I start?"
And Lucanis sees his contract eventually and raises an eyebrow like
"wtf is this???"
Spite is excited though, because he's a massive fan of the tiny, murderous "ice mage" with fucky magic. He also tends to zero in on Yuki.
It's part of the whole "not from this universe" thing. Natural forces of magic are constantly trying to connect her to it or wipe her out, depending on their aggression. The current metaphor I have going on is that magic is like a choir with slightly discordant singing (because of the veil). Yuki can synergize with music and it can sense that, wanting her to bring it in line or join in.
Blight is like, way worse and desperate about it. It would try, and probably fail, to infect her. The Titan madness wants to feel what it's like to dream again, it just doesn't know how, only that Yuki is the closest it's gotten in a very long time.
A nice nod to the way enemies in game zero in on you, actually lol
