Pada channel youtube ini terdapat beragam konten dakwah yang disajikan seperti Diskusi Islam, Sejarah, "main yuk" dengan diundang para bintang kamu dan releatable dengan Islam, "YN Band" Live band, belajar fikih dan juga pada bulan Ramadhan terdapat program "Reconnecting With Qur'an". 3. Nouman Ali Khan-Official-Bayyinah

Pembawaan dakwah yang santai dan jelas dari Ustadz Nouman sangat cocok bagi semua kalangan. Pada channelnya Ustadz sangat jelas menerangkan studi bahasa arab, ilmu fikih, Al-Qur'an, Ilmu Tafsir serta motivasi refleksi kehidupan. Ustadz Nouman juga menjelaskan dengan sedehana dan mudah dipahami.

4. Dr. Zakir Naik

Ustadz sekaligus Dokter yang telah menghafal beberapa kitab seperti Al-Qur'an, berbagai macam hadits, bibel dengan beberapa versi, taurat, Weda, Tripitaka, dan Bhagavad Gita. Ia memperoleh gelar Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) dari Maharashtra, tapi sejak 1991 ia telah menjadi seorang ulama yang terlibat dalam dakwah Islam dan perbandingan agama. Zakir Naik adalah pendiri dan presiden Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), sebuah organisasi nirlaba yang memiliki dan menyiarkan jaringan saluran TV gratis Peace TV dari Mumbai, India. Ia adalah Ustadz pembanding agama yang terinspirasi dari Ahmad Deedat. Gaya pembawaannya yg sangat ciamik dan gaya debatnya yg jelas dan detail pada setiap ayat, nomornya serta surahnya disebutkan agar tidak menimbulkan kekeliruan dan telah menghasilkan banyak masyarakat yg sebelumnya tidak memeluk agama Islam sehingga mengucapkan kalimat 2 syahadat untuk masuk Islam.

5. Yaqeen Institute

Ustadz Omar Sulaiman sangat meneduhkan hati kepada siapapun yang mendengarkan kajian dakwahnya. Ustadz sangat terperinci, detail dan mudah dipahami. Ustadz banyak menjelaskan tentang Hukum Fiqih, pernikahan, Al-Qur'an, Reflection Life or anything else. Ketenangan dalam pembawaannya dan kharismatik yang Ia punya dapat semakin menularkan kecintaan kita terhadap Allah dan Rasul-Nya.

Semoga Allah memberikan hidayah-Nya kepada siapapun bagi kita yang ingin terus belajar untuk mendekatkan diri kepada-Nya, Aamiin Allahumma Aamiin Ya Rabbal 'alamin.

I don't know if you watched or heard of the Jannah series for Ramadan on Yaqeen Institute's channel, but I recommend it for every Muslims because man

I discovered their youtube channel last year with the Day of Judgment series if i remember well, and it just helped me become a better Muslim imo (i hope)

Watching the last series makes me yearn for Jannah even more and I learnt so many things!!

Salam sister, how are you? I'm a Muslima who is trying to learn more about Islam. Growing up I was taught the 5 pillars, to read the Quran in Arabic and the general things like don't drink/eat halal etc. but not really why. I've been reading a translation of the Quran and so much is becoming more clear to me and is bringing me closer to Allah, but I want to know more. So, what scholars do you recommend to look up and what are good sources/books according to you to use to learn more?

Okay first off I love that you are doing this. I feel this deep in my heart because back in Ramadan this year I was feeling so lazy in my deen and that I wasn’t doing and learning as much as I should and made it my Ramadan objective to seek out more knowledge - in fact both @thickskinandelasticheart and I did this together over Ramadan (and tumblr can you please sort out her account because I miss her on here!) and it was lovely to do with someone else as we both encouraged and helped each other.

So firstly, I would say if you can find someone to do this journey with then it’s so rewarding alhamdullilah- it keeps you going when you are not feeling as motivated and you help each other find little things in the deen that are inspiring and move your heart. But if you don’t have someone to do that with then don’t worry because you have Allah (SWT) to do it with and there is no greater power to have on your side to motivate you.

As for scholars, I’m going to recommend English speaking scholars because it’s the only language I speak (😔).

Imam Omar Suleiman is an immense scholar - he’s based in Dallas Texas now at the Yaqeen Institute. He has two incredibly powerful series on YouTube:

I watched both of these over Ramadan and they taught me so much.

It’s worth following the Yaqeen Institute on YouTube as there are always uploading good content and looking at it now there’s a lot I need to catch up on

The other big scholar I listen to is Mufti Menk who is not only very knowledgeable but also has a fun sense of humour which is not something we think about when talking Islamic Scholars

Comfort in the Times of Crisis was a really nice listen

He’s also discovered the joy of click bait titles which has been cracking me up recently

Abdul Hakim Murad is also another good scholar and he did a very calming lecture about the pandemic back in April. His Cambridge Muslim College channel is well worth a look too

I hope you enjoy any of these that I’ve recommended and may Allah reward you for your efforts in learning and understanding more about the deen inshallah 🤲

Can you “commit” shirk and still ask for guidance from Allah/the divine and be guided?

I don’t expect anyone to remember me, but long story short I’m unsure about Islam but I practice it still in some ways (salah 5x a day, avoid alcohol and pork, give zakat, fast). Every day, I say “Whatever is out there, one God or many, guide me to the truth” and I wait.*

I’ve been told many times that saying “or many” means I’ve committed shirk, which I’m fine with since that is my reality. But then they say “you can’t commit shirk and expect Allah to guide you.” So I must submit myself to Him fully and say there is no other God and Islam is the truth to be guided to the truth? That doesn’t make sense. If He is there and can truly guide us, then He should be able to guide me even if I am open to shirk as long as I’m also open to Him. Is it true that I can’t expect guidance if I’m open to shirk?

I just want to be guided to the truth whatever it is, even if I hate it or it upsets me, because the truth is the truth.

*I wait but of course I do my homework. For the last 6 years, I have read and continue to read the Quran in Arabic and English with tafsir, and I listen to the Quran in Arabic every single day (I’m an Arabic speaker). I listen to lectures on Islam and seerah. I have read the Sealed Nectar. I have asked questions on here (reddit), various discord channels, and emailed more knowledgeable Muslims, including two imams. I have learned about hadith sciences (mostly through online sources, like Youtube videos). I went through multiple articles on Yaqeen Institute's website. I listened to lectures about the miracles of the Quran, like from Nouman Ali Khan. I listened to debates between Muslims and other religions, like Ahmed Deedat. I read one book on aqeedah (Aqeedah Tahaawiyyah-The Creed of Imam Tahawi). I have read the Divine Reality. I still pray salah. I attended jummah until the closing of the mosques due to COVID. I attended chaplain-led halaqqas. I talked to a chaplain about my doubts too. These are by far not the only sources on Islam, but these are the resources people recommended to me at various points over the years.

It has come to the point where I lie in bed at night and I take a moment throughout the day to say “whatever is out there—one God or many—please guide me” while I continue to do my “homework” and continue to practice Islam. I don’t say what I have done to mean “I’m finished! I have studied the deen and I know everything now!” but to mean that I have tried. I have tried so hard with whatever people recommended and I had access to.
