This is Baltic amber, many people confuse it with ambergris, this is plant based and ambergris is animal based this is morethan 40 million years old some resin from pre historic forests got focilized and made this material you see. In old folklore and Many cultures this kind of Amber is believed to be a spiritual material, in many cultures around the world you see people wearing it as an amulet or an item of bringing good luck and wording of negative energies, it's is amazing when broken down and mixed in the right proportions with other kinds of resin incenses. If you don't know how strong Tonkin Musk is, and how powerful it is, the old arabic Attar books recommend only one gram of it in every 100 grams of pure rose or sandalwood oil. The amount you see here is enough to turn a 1000 grams of rose oil or sandalwood oil into Musk oil. This Musk oil "sultani#1" is made with 10% pure Musk mixed with both rose and sandalwood oil this is 10 time the recommended amount and this was used, intended and made strictly for the sultans and the kings as the regular person never had access to this amount of musk, this kind of oil or the knowledge to make it the way you see here. One thing to enjoy when the weather is cold is ambergris. The ocean and cool breeze of it is so powerful people say it changed the way they perceived perfumes and Attars. If you are not sure what ambergris is please do your research there are many people around saying some funny stuff and theories about ambergris. It is a scientific fact that ambergris get ejected by the amber whale when the whale eat some specific materials that upset the stomach and system of the whale the very special enzymes in the whale change the natural of the materials and then it get rejected by the whale (vomited) into the ocean, with the direct sunlight and salt of the ocean this material get cleaned and purified and becomes a medicine and one of the best Perfumes in the world the water removes all the side materials and keep the majority of ambergris or the ambarin material which is the way to measure the quality of the ambergris and know the age of it. This process can take many years and white royal ambergris can only start forming after 5 years of being in the ocean, unlike Gray ambergris that can be found after 1 to 3 years and unlike Black ambergris that can be found shortly after the whale reject it. Many people think that ambergris must be taken from a hunted animal and the whale is usual killed for it and that is not true. The majority of the ambergris or about more than 90% of it is collected from the shores by fishermen and ambergris hunter going in the areas that have good depth and Rocks as those are the most suitable to find ambergris after the shores and the gulfs. It may take months before finding a good amount of it but once you do it's a treasure and can be sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
