What should have been a simple visit to the bookstore became an unsettling situation when Liesel pointed out a glowing man, to which Markus followed the direction her finger pointed until his eyes laid upon the red-clad glowing stranger. How.. peculiar. Upon moving just a little closer as the glowing man seemed mid-conversation with a red-haired man in a white coat, he paled in the face when he recognised that taunting Russian accent. 

Liesel wanted to go closer, but was halted when Mark placed a firm hand on her shoulder. A silent command to stop, and she was forced to obey. 

❝ But why is he glowing? ❞  her voice was louder than intended, which frustrated Markus. Liesel quickly realised her mistake by watching his reaction and pulled her large straw hat onto her head in order to hide her face. Markus did a similar movement, tugging the front of his hat downward in attempt to hide his own face. He wouldn’t be surprised if her words caught their attention, so he attempted to diffuse the situation before anything had a chance to escalate. Markus did not see that man during his captivity, but still assumed any and all Russians must be associated with the Rats, thus he didn’t wish to take chances.

Too much red.

Golding holds pride in their aesthetics, simple black with splashes of color. Wearing red was an acquired skill, a skill that neither Golding or the man in front of them possessed.

But Golding’s job was information, and a foreigner with ties to terrorism didn’t want their opinion on what he was wearing.

She was outside of the building, getting some fresh air. A terrible headache had been bothering her ever since the beginning of the morning but instead of staying home she had decided to go to work. A few hours had passed and her headache did get better, yet she still had decided to go outside in the hopes that maybe some fresh air might make it better. While standing outside, she glanced around and spotted a figure. Nothing out of the ordinary if he wasn’t glancing over at the building. At first Alicia hesitated before deciding to talk to him. 

“Excuse me? Do you need something?” Maybe he was someone who needed help from the Agency. If so, she was more as willing to help him.

lighter :   my  muse  pulls  out  a  lighter  and  lights  it  for  your  muse  to  use  to  light  their  cigarette.

Markus saw the lighter before he saw the person offering it and leaned forward to ignite the cigarette sitting between his lips. He rarely smoked, only when his stress was unmanageable would he light one up, but most certainly never around Liesel. Thus, here he stood, alone, leaning against a building as he awaited instructions from his higher ups.

He froze. That forlorn face of the other man was far too recognisable due to recent events, and he choked, but it was unclear whether it was due to the coarse cigarette smoke penetrating his lungs, or just pure shock. His face paled as his eyes grew wide, the nub where a finger once was began to throb painfully beneath the bandages that were still coiled around his left hand. 

❝ You! ❞  He pushed off from the wall and took three large steps backwards, distancing himself as quickly as possible. He wasn’t familiar with any of the Rats’ abilities aside from that tedious Dmitri Glukhovsky. Markus spat the lit cigarette from his mouth and it landed on the curb near a sewer drain, all the while Marku drew a handgun from within his brown overcoat.
