   Flesh and bone was a disguise that covered this ones TRUE identity. && the fire crawling beneath, suppressed by HUMAN NATURE, burned in subdued flickers.

Tom’s reaction drew an arch of Bo’s eyebrow, but the monster shifted to lean back against the back of the crowd and give a slow grunt. He gave a  slow shrug and lit the cigarette carefully before he turned his back to the dragon and his crowd.

Nobel wasn’t exactly sure what this guy was, but his aura screamed that he wasn’t human … but he was also alive. Supernatural, clearly. “Uhhh … I usually don’t lend that one out to strangers without an insurance policy in place.” It was a special book after all.

Is that why you never wrote?” he teased, completely just messing with the young heir. “Maybe I just wanted to see your pompous little ass, again.’ He shrugged, handing over Roman a drink.

‘Yes, that is why. We had something and I simply couldn’t let myself be hurt again, by you. As you did hurt me so, the last time,’ he says. His voice in monotonous, obviously he doesn’t mean what he says. He doesn’t like this man, and he’d be glad to never see him again, but he doesn’t hate him so much as to loathe his presence. He is like a fly in the room, irritating, but eventually one tunes out of the incessant buzzing. He takes the drink, but doesn’t drink it. ‘And why would you want that?’

Tom had texted.

No response. Usually it'd take Cal a minute at least to respond. But.. nothing.

Cal was in a fight of his own. He had woke up just in time to dodge an attack. His eyes saw the pillow torn where his head was just a second ago. 

He had swiftly gotten up and rushed out of the room, leaving the phone behind. He didn't know what it was but there were more waiting for him. He got cuts and wounds but none that he believed would be bad. He fought back best he could but they just wouldn't die.

It was awhile before he found his phone and took it, locking the door and began to text back, blood smearing on the screen.
