My Dad used to take me to visit #theawakining #statue when it was at Haines Point in DC .. I haven't visited this statue since I was a kid with my Dad and its move to #nationalharbor. I felt it was time to visit again... Since my Dad passed away in July, I knew my Dad was right beside me.. Making fun of the kids climbing all over the dang statue😏 ... I use to find beer bottles in its mouth and would ask my Dad if the statue drank them🤔 of course he said yes, he was thirsty ☺️💦🍺🍻 I really miss you Dad, but glad I have such great memories and special places to visit that remind me of you ❤️ (at National Harbor)
