Enchanted Chitkul - Just when I woke up out of my bed with freezing cold feet, the first sight I had in front of me was breathtaking view to seep in. The surreal rainbow over the mountains cloaked in morning mist was my first impression to Chitkul village in Spiti. . A morning walk towards the beautiful Baspa river - sitting on the rock next to the river that gushes through the valley. An enigmatic and most calming sound emerging from the water leaves you enchanted. Chitkul is the last village of India to the side of the Tibet border situated at a height of 3450 meters. The destination is situated just before the Indo-Tibet border with wooden houses and apple orchards are like the pearls in the ocean. The random walk led us to Akhri Dhaba (Last in house restaurant at India-Tibet Border). The local food here was regular yet the delicious one I had ever tasted. The perfect blend of Pahadi and Punjabi delicacies one can least expect in a remote place like Chitkul. So if you are in search of some magical moments of your life which you only dreamt of. The enchanted Chitkul will take your breath away. Find your euphoria, and the euphoria will burn your pain 😇 That day I almost made my mind to give up not to see this place as it was too cold to handle. But my inner kid did not let me miss it 😛 Chandratal was absolutely surreal. The richness of the moon lake, sinking into the every greenest nook and studded with millions of pebbles around.
