[C O N T I N U E D F R O M]@marvelmyriad
From @marvelmyriad: Jamie, much like either of his parents and his sister, couldnât get drunk. Â When one was enhanced in the way that the Barnes family was, the metabolism moved at breakneck speed on any given day. Â That meant that any substance that might normally inebriate people was damn near useless to them. Â As unbelievable as it might have seemed, he really did drink beer for the taste. Â Of course, he didnât buy the cheap stuff, so the taste wasnât that of the typical American brew.
After their toast, Jamie took a decent swig of his drink before setting it back down on the table. Â They still had about fifteen minutes or so before the Chinese food would arrive, and that both excited and terrified him to think about. Â It meant that he had more time to talk with Virgil unhindered, but that also gave him more opportunities to put his foot in his mouth in some way. Â Navigating small talk in the beginning stages of any relationship had been one of the biggest challenges that heâd faced. Â He was a wallflower in school, even before he knew about his sister and father. Â When it had just been he and his mom, most of his time had been spent either at home listening to music or at the movies or maybe a concert. Â Some place that he could be that didnât facilitate talking at all.
As it seemed though, Virgil wasnât exactly a pro at small talk either. Â That did well to make him a little less on edge. Â He offered the other man a bright, if not somewhat awkward smile.
âUmâŚâ he ran his fingers through his hair some and rolled his lips, âMusic, all kinds really.  Iâve always loved movies.  Especially horror.â  He looked up at the poster that resided on the wall behind them.  It was a âNightmare on Elmstreetâ poster that had been framed, a signature scrawled across the middle of it by Wes Craven himself.
âThat right there, thatâs my prized possession.â
From house0f3: Virgil wasnât a huge fan of horror. He had seen too much real life horror to enjoy those movies but he didnât want to push Jamie away with his dislike of horror films, but Virgil didnât want to lie to Jamie either. His anxiety spiked and hard causing Virgil to shift in his seat. The poster was really cool. Virgil whistled in a high to low tone.
âThat is a nice pic, man. Not really my cup of tea but itâs still really cool. I generally go more monster flick, like Kaiju films, dinosaurs eatin corporations, those kind of thing. I could get into a horror flick thatâs more monster than human. Like the Alien movies, with Sigourney Weaver. Yeah.â Virgil chuckled and scratched the back of his head, taking another quick swig of his beer, using the motion to have him slump forward, leaning his elbows back onto his knees, allowing Virgil to turn his face away in his embarrassment. He hoped that he didnât offend Jamie.

"Yeah! she's right! I am just tryin to find a place for my poor tired horse. Poor fella carried me for the last month's ride here, from my home burg. I came to better myself for my own people, I came to learn from this burg's lĂŚknir. I hear grand things of them. They benefit the megin (Nordic communities' might/power and/or fate) of this community, greatly." Morgan got a sense of some sort of magic near by, but magic wasn't Morgan's strong suit.
"Now give me a set in stone deal that is reasonable, or I'll take this to your Jarl." The man quickly told Morgan his more than reasonable price to which she paid, then turning to her savior she smiled, her red curly braids falling around her face.
"Thank you, back there. What do I owe you? I am called Morgan Fróðr for the moment. And whom do I have the pleasure of being saved by?" Morgan says with her smile and a squint of her eyes with her smile. Morgan was indeed trying to low-key flirt with this woman, might as well have some fun while she is looking for this lÌknir.

While she was more discreet in how she used her magic, she could still sense the presence of another's magic without much effort at all. It wasn't uncommon in many Nordic burgs, the humans knowing of the Runic magics thanks to the gods themselves.
This...was just a little different than that. The mystic energy that surrounded the woman was the second thing that Loki noticed though. That fiery red hair was the first thing that had drawn her attention out of the corner of her eye.
Curiosity flooded her mind as she stood up and turned more fully to look at the woman. The goddesses sharp senses came in handy in every way, including the way she was able to hear the conversation even from a bit of a distance. After a short time though, the stableman was speaking loud enough for even the average human to pick up from where Loki was standing.
Her eyes narrowed somewhat and she begun to stride over towards the two that were immersed in the conflict. The trickster stood beside this mystery woman and offered her a polite but KNOWING smile. Turning to look at the man in charge of keeping the stables, she arched a brow.
"I suggest you offer recompense now for your ill-tempered tone," she looked him up and down somewhat. "That is not how you speak to any woman, least of all one that's simply asking you to fulfill your obligation to this burg. Need I speak to your wife, or your mother about this?" Loki knew just about everyone in the village, and she wasn't making idle threats. She was making promises.
