the most tragic part about viktors story is that he refused to build weapons and he refused to put any metal or permanent changes to his body, always tried to put the good and safety of the people he could in first place. he wouldn't use a metal brace or get anywhere close to shimmer until he was in his 30s. and then, he became a war machine, with his humanity taken away by the archane and shimmer. the worst part being it was done by his partner, his best friend, and his first teacher, his first father figure. both piltovians, both refusing to let him die, both ripping away his humanity when he could not refuse. of course it was out of love. it doesnt change they went against everything he wanted and believed in. even the most loved zaunite in piltover gets destroyed by them in the end. and the tragic thing is its not because of the lack of love, but the abundance of it.
