I have nothing against the Tomb Raider franchise and I will stare respectfully at Lara Croft and her arms all day.

But there is something about a white British woman traveling the world and essentially stealing artifacts from non-white cultures that makes me go “… huh…”

(I mean I think the same for the Indiana Jones franchise too so this isn’t solely aimed at Croft)

I love the adventures and I love Lara (especially her survivor timeline version who I feel is more, idk, grounded and also gay? I like that version and I have some Thoughts on the new series but that’s a whole other thing). Anyway the Implications™️ of her adventures and literal tomb raiding are not lost on me.
