anyways while it wasnt the first loz game i ever played, a link between worlds was the first zelda game i finished and i distinctly remember that the whole reveal about ravio being lorule’s version of link flew the fuck over my head the first time i beat it. i dont even know when it clicked there’s a good chance i didn’t get it until i saw people online talking about it i think i just saw ravio take off his hood and was like ‘oh he looks kinda like link i guess’ and didn’t fully make the connection

#the only reason im certain i didnt get it right away was bc i just remember distinctly NOT realizing that ravio was lorule's link #i think the whole idea of ppl in lorule having mirrors in hyrule or smth simialr didn't click for me and man idk lol #loz #legend of zelda #a link between worlds #salty talks #a lot of zelda twists made me feel nothing tho tbh and not even bc i didnt like them i got spoiled for a lot of loz stuff #i think the only loz plot twist i can think of rn that makes me feel stuff is linebeck being ph's final boss but like. thats an outlier #although i remember i read the ph manga before i played the game and while i barely remembered much after i put it down (before game)#the whole bit with linebeck getting possessed stuck with me all the way up until i saw the game's version so uh. this is getting off topic #i love albw and ravio and that little last twist fell flat bc ig i didnt realize that ravio looked exactly like link for a reason???
