CW wig au

First of all, fuck you. Second of all be careful what you ask for because I have A LOT of thoughts about the WCU (Wig Cinematic Universe). Third of all this is also for @pivitor because I talk about CW wigs with him SO MUCH.

Also I will fully admit that these aren’t so much AU headcanons as they are the facts of how wigs are used on the CW. I spend a lot of time thinking about the CW’s wigs

The biggest headcanon I have for the CW wigs is that there is only one wig for each hair color. This is inspired specifically by the very bad white wigs used on The Flash and iZombie

however, as you may recall, s3 of Legends did utilize a white wig for an episode, so they DID have to reserve it and a courier DID have to put it in the Sack Of Wigs and drive it over in a modified ice cream truck that plays a quarter speed version of the ice cream truck song

luckily izombie wasn’t filming at the time otherwise that would’ve been the real Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover

And don’t worry, even though iZombie has been cancelled, liv’s wig will live on, as the kind souls at Supergirl have adopted it and it has found a good home as Brainy’s wig.

Now, the CW is a budget conscious network, obviously. Not only so they share wigs, they really live by a reduce, reuse, recycle ethos, which is really progressive of them. I fully believe the original Black Canary wig Sara wore on Arrow (which, rest in piss to that show!) has been reused several times for various other characters after someone found it sitting in a back lot under a parked trailer for 2 years.

side note: sara is blonde and has long hair. The wig is…long and blonde. WHY DID SHE WEAR A WIG.

Felicity’s wig from the Legends S2 Doomworld episode? REUSED as Ava’s goth emo wig from this year’s mid season finale. SAME WIG.

There is a Keeper Of The Wigs. This person is the most powerful person in all of Vancouver. They see all and know more than we could ever hope to. And they almost certainly do not get paid enough.
