//post Trespasser, Alras doesn't wear any sort of prosthetic on his arm, unless someone bullies him into it for an important event (and even then it's hit or miss lmao)
Although I do think he would see Neve's leg and be like "Where did you get that and how do I get one?" if he's gonna have one he wants it to look cool.

//I realized I should probably write down the big choices for both Elysia and Alras in their games:
Elysia
Origins: Saved Redcliffe, rescued Connor from the fade with the help of the other mages, saved Arl Eamon with the ashes, did not defile said ashes, spared the mages in the tower, brokered peace between werewolves and the Dalish, destroyed the anvil, made Bhelen king, sent Dagna to the circle to study, allowed Avernus to live provided he did ethical research, made Anora queen, had Alistair complete the ritual with Morrigan, slayed the dragon and survived
Awakening: fortified the Keep and protected Amaranthine, killed the Architect, Nathaniel alive and well, reunited Oghren and Felsi
Inquisition: Allied with the mages, had Celene make peace with Gaspard and Briala, rebuilt the Grey Wardens, sacrificed Stroud in the fade, worked with Cullen to destroy Samsons armor, respected Temple traditions and worked with the guardians, had Morrigan drink from the well, had Leliana become divine, discovered Ameridan and shared the truth, stopped the earthquakes in the Descent dlc, vowed to redeem Solas, disbanded the inquisition
My one note is her inquisitor au, Alistair and Anora became king and queen, and she broke up with him. Otherwise in her advisor verse Alistair is a grey warden, unless decided upon otherwise
-
Alras
Inquisition: Allied with the mages, had Celene make peace with Gaspard and Briala, rebuilt the Grey Wardens, sacrificed Stroud in the fade, worked with Cullen to destroy Samsons armor, respected Temple traditions and worked with the guardians, drank from the well of Sorrows, had Leliana become divine, discovered Ameridan and shared the truth, stopped the earthquakes in the Descent dlc, vowed to redeem Solas, allowed the inquisition to continue
In my headcanon he passes leadership of the Inquisition onto one of my other Lavellans, Rylla, and moves to Tevinter with Dorian, Rylla vows to stops Solas any way possible, but they're easily swayed by their favorite idiots (Alras and Alea (and Alwyn who isn't on here but is the twins little sister))

//honestly because I just saw it, how horrifying is the "The Dawn Will Come" scene for elven inquisitors
You're their herald. No matter what you say you're the Herald of Andraste and nothing will stop them from believing that. Your own religion doesn't matter. You don't matter.
All that matters is that you saved them, in the name of Andraste, and you'll keep saving them, whether you like it or not.

Alras Lavellan: Verses
Inquisitor: Having gone to the conclave at the request of his keeper, he emerges from the explosion unscathed, except for the mark on his hand. Despite initial wariness, he quickly accepts his role, wanting to help and show everyone what elves can do.
Inquisition companion: He arrives at Haven shortly after the explosion with Alea, offering their help.
Veilguard: Before Solas' ritual, he splits his time between Minrathous and the south, spending time with Dorian (as friends or something more) and trying to track down Solas. After that, his role is much the same as the Inquisitors in Veilguard, if slightly more involved with the Shadow Dragons

//I haven't decided what Alistair and Elysia are up to during Veilguard tbh. Hopefully they found a cure and are now just retired, although as soon as the darkspawn started up, even if they were cured, they would both be out helping in the south, I think. (First Warden calls everyone back to Weisshaupt and they're both like nah bro we got more important things to do)
Alras and Alea are helping The Veilguard, Alras as inquisitor, Alea by moving into the Lighthouse and becoming a companion. Generally I have Alras in Minrathous with Dorian, but he can also come and go like the Inquisitor in game, I think. Obviously I wouldn't push ships on anyone, default is just him in Minrathous hanging out with Dorian, whether as a couple or not

//Thinking about bg3 verse Alras and Alea and how they're different like
Alras is absolutely appalled by the urges. He's constantly fighting them, to him it's almost like there's a different person inside of him telling him to maim, gut, and kill. He doesn't want to do that, he doesn't want to murder in cold blood. He wants to help people, as much as he can. He's constantly struggling with having the urges inside him, wondering why he's like this, if that's the real him or if the person he presents to the world is.
Alea, her struggle is more that she wants to give into the urges. She enjoys the feeling of bloodlust, of taking a life. Why should she care about other people who aren't her kin? What have they ever done for her? But she knows if she has to work with other people, she needs to keep them under control, and the more distance she puts between herself and the urges, the more she starts to separate from them, and realize that's not her. Maybe it never was.

//Alras has perpetual foot in mouth syndrome, because he just speaks without thinking constantly. Fortunately, he has enough charisma that he can usually talk his way back out of whatever he got himself in. Not always though.

Alras Lavellan
Tumblr media
General
Name: Alras
Race: half wood elf
Class: Wizard
Background: Haunted One
Patron God: Bhaal (at the beginning)
Alignment: Chaotic good
Age: 40 (20s in dragon age verse)
Height: 5'6"
Gender: trans man
Pronouns: he/him
Orientation: homoromantic homosexual
Personality
Friendly and cheerful. Snarky at the best and worst of times, occasionally sticks his foot in his mouth because of it.
Background
Unknown, as in he literally can't remember who he was or where he was before the tadpole. All he remembers is his name and the name of his twin sister.
Dragon Age Background
Born to Clan Lavellan, Alras spent his youth wandering the Free Marshes, spending most of his time with his twin sister, Alea. The clan mostly kept their distance from humans, trying not to pick any fights.
As they got older, Alras came into his magic and started training to be the keepers first. When he came of age, he chose the vallaslin of Mythal, albeit a slightly simplified version compared to his sisters. For a time, things were peaceful, at least, as peaceful as they ever are for the Dalish.
When news of the conclave reached them, Alras was chosen to go and spy on the conclave, with a group of hunters. He was the only survivor, surviving by the skin of his teeth with a strange mark on his hand. Despite not wanting to be seen as the Herald of Andraste, he was eager to help set things right, to show that the Dalish were capable and to hopefully earn some respect for his people.
