#one cool thing about extreme media is that it teaches you your limits and boundaries.#there's certain kinds of insanity and psychopathy that I can't do because they feel too similar to my own brain.#certain kinds of horror that feed too perfectly into my fears and terrors#some fear is just enough and some is so far removed that it's entertaining and some is too closely aligned#I think if they'd leaned more heavily into jinx being unstable Arcane might have ended up being too much.#Donny Darko was the bad kind for me. the paranoid unreality of it felt a little too real.#I try and turn off stuff when I feel it coming on cause any time I do finish the movie I end up regretting it.#anyway Hannibal is good and I like it and I'm almost done the last season.
