Relapsed <- thinking about The Glory (Netflix) again
#this show makes me SO INSANE#I could write a literal essay on yeon-jin as a character she’s sooooooooo compelling to me like!!!!!!#the way she truly believes with her whole heart that she’s superior to others bc of how she was born (rich beautiful smart etc)#the way she was taught by her own mother that self-reflection is not only useless but ACTIVELY HARMFUL#the way she’s excellent at manipulation but has a giant blind spot bc she can’t conceptualize other people not seeing her as#inherently superior. so when she tries to manipulate someone who doesn’t see her that way (like her husband or dong-eun) she fails#but she doesn’t REALIZE she’s failed bc it literally doesn’t fit into her worldview#god.
