WHERE DOES YOUR ANGER LURK ?
in your eyes. rage in silence, in wordless defiance. cheeks dampened, clenched fists tremble, yet cannot move, cannot rise. wronged, your heart demands justice and aches at its absence. you can do nothing but weep, tears flooding the space fury hollows out.

28. Dead (Part 2) || One Day At A Time
AMBER’S THOUGHTS:
“I just can’t beleive this...“
OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:
Everyone in glee was starting to get worried with her, she didn’t answer them, no one was in the mood to record anything because of Amber.
“Amber, get the damn door, we’re worried…” Chris yelled hitting the door again.
“We need to open this door, something might have happened to her.” Dianna said.
“Someone must have a key to open this door.” Kevin said.
“We can kick the door…” Chord said.
IN THE GLEE PARKING LOT:
Derek was in his car, ready to make a surprise to Amber, he got a bouquet of red roses to give her.
The moment he arrived at the glee studios he saw that a lot of people gathered around some trailer, but he never thought it was Amber's.
The first thing he thought when he saw the picture that Chord sent, he couldn’t wait to be with Amber and kick Chord's ass, so, he got the night flight instead of waiting for his, in the next morning.
OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:
Derek was going to Amber’s trailer and realized that all the people he saw were at her door.
He saw Chris and Dianna at the door with everyone around them, he went near Lea.
“What’s happening?” Derek asked.
Lea was surprised to find him there.
“Amber locked herself in her trailer.” Lea said. “She’s not answering to us.”
“What?” Derek started to freak out.
When he tried to get to Amber’s door he had to face Chord.
“What are you doing here?” Chord asked.
Everyone started looking at them knowing that they might start fighting at any second.
“Get out of my way before I kick your ass.” Derek threatened him.
“You shouldn’t be allowed to get in…” Chord said.
He didn’t have time to say anything more because Derek punched him and went to check if Amber was ok.
“Guys can you give me a moment?” Derek asked Dianna and Chris.
“You better get her out of there…” Chris said.
“I’ll do my best.” Derek said.
“Thank god you’re here.” Dianna said hugging him.
Derek waited for everyone to give him some space, so he could talk to her.
“Ber Ber?” Derek called. “Are you ok? Open the door I have a surprise for you…” He was so nervous. “I miss you…”
INSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:
Amber was on the floor and realized that something was wrong because they all started to tell Chord to stop doing something but then she heard something that she desired the most, Derek’s voice.
She got up the moment he said that he missed her, she was crying even more, she went running to the door and when she opened it there he was, Derek with a bouquet in his hands. The only thing she did was running to his arms, making her realizing that he was alive, the fears she had were mitigated when he started whispering in her ear how much he missed her and loved her.
OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:
Everyone was surprised that they were still that close, Amber started hitting him because she was so relief that he was alive. They broke up, but every single person knew that they still love each other and the story Amber has been telling was not very convincing.
“See, we only needed Derek to appear…” Chris said relieved.
“At least she’s alive…” Dianna said smiling. “Maybe now they can get back together.”
“They won’t…” Chord said with hate in his eyes. “Me and Amber kissed each other yesterday…”
No one knew what to believe but he seemed to be serious.
“That’s right people, he got too late!” Chord said with a grin in his face.
While they were discussing if what chord was saying was true, Derek and Amber, were enjoying each other’s arms.
“Babe, you’re trying to break some of my bones?” Derek asked laughing.
“Sorry…” Amber said smiling.
“So what happened?” Derek asked worried.
“I don’t want to talk about it” Amber noticed that Derek wasn’t very convinced. “For now…”
“Fine, now can you explain me something, how the hell were you kissing Chord?” Derek asked.
“How did you…” Amber didn’t understand how he knew that. “He kissed me, I was caught by surprise.”
“Ok.” Derek said trying to leave Amber. “Give me just one minute.”
Derek went near the rest of people that’s when he heard him brag about kissing Amber what made him even more angry, so he punched him again and no one put themselves in front of him except Amber.
“Derek!” Amber yelled. “Stop! What’s wrong with you?”
“You want to know how I found out about the kiss?” Derek said. “Ask that son of a bitch how he got my number!”
Amber was in shock.
“He sent me a picture of you two kissing and I knew it was true because I talked to Dianna and she told me what were you wearing…” Derek in the last part looked embarrassed.
Derek passed through Amber to make another threat to Chord.
“Listen…” Derek didn’t yell but everyone that looked at him could see that he was very serious. “If you got near her again I’ll broke every bone of your body.”
“You’re talking a lot for someone that was dumped.” Chord said.
“You think I’m here because I miss to see your face?” Derek asked. “I’m here because me and Amber are together again.”
Nobody was expecting that, and Amber could see in Dianna’s face that she was not believing in any word he was saying.
“Derek stop…” Amber begged.
“He tried to put us against each other.” Derek said. “Don’t you see it.”
“I simply don’t care about him…” Amber said that before kissing Derek. “Now, didn't had the flight this morning?”
“Yes, but when I saw that picture I had to come here earlier.” Derek said.
Amber was so happy that everything happened that way but surprisingly she got near Chord and thanked him.
“Thank you for keeping Derek alive!” Amber hugged him.
“What… He didn’t keep me alive!” Derek said.
“Your plane crashed this morning, that was why I had to be alone, I just couldn’t believe you were dead!” Amber admitted.
“What?” Derek was confused.
“I checked the information, it was your flight!” Amber says crying. “That photo saved you.”
Derek hugged Amber one more time, no everyone knew what happened, but Dianna was the only one who could really understand her and why she reacted that way.
“Does anyone from Dancing with the Stars was on that flight?” Amber asked.
“No, it was supposed to be only me.” Derek said.
“He saved you…” Amber said.
“I won’t be thanking him, I punched him twice today.” Derek said.
“Der, I know you’re an amazing man.” Amber said smiling.
Derek knew what she meant, he couldn’t believe that he was going to thank Chord for sending that picture, even thought it was to make him jealous.
“Thanks man!” Derek said. “But the threat is still valid…”
Amber laughed so hard, that was the Derek she knew.
“If you pull something like that again…” Derek was interrupted.
“I’ll cut his balls!” Chris said upset.
Derek looked at Chris with a new light, he knew that Chris wanted Amber to be happy and they were together about the subject of Chord.
“Chris!” Lea said surprised and started laughing.
“What?” Chris asked. “He knows I can do it besides Derek is too much gorgeous to be without his balls…”
“Chris!” Amber reprehended him.
“But if you hurt her again, believe me, it applies to you too.” Chris said to Derek.
“Leave them alone…” Derek said protecting himself. “Before that I was about to kiss you but now…”
Chris started getting red with the thought of Derek kissing him.
“You have a boyfriend…” Dianna said to Chris and then turned to Derek. “He’s thinking French kisses with a lot of sheets between you two right now.”
Derek laughed, and everyone laughed right after.
“Let the lovebirds be alone for a second.” Dianna said.
Amber and Derek got alone and went to her trailer, in the way Amber found the bouquet of roses that Derek brought.
“Yours?” Amber asked.
“To you” Derek answered. “They were prettier before I had to handle Chord.”
“Forget about him.” Amber said.
INSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:
Amber was finally alone with Derek, she knew she had to tell him about her pregnancy, but she knew they needed to talk about some things first.
“What you said outside…” Amber was trying to ask without making a real question.
“Its true!” Derek said. “I don’t care I’ll kick his behind if necessary.”
“Not that part…” Amber sat on the couch.
“Oh…” Derek finally understand what she wanted to say. “Well you’re not getting rid of me that fast.”
Amber smiled looking at him.
“I already had enough alone time for the rest of my life and don’t you dare to push me away because I won’t be able to do it.” Derek continued. “I missed you too much!”
“You found her.” Amber said. “The girl behind the attacks.”
“Yes.” Derek answered. “That’s handled.”
“You sound like Olivia Pope.” Amber said.
“Who?” Derek was confused.
“Scandal, I’ll show you tonight.” Amber said. “By the way, I missed you too.”
Derek smiled.
“Dianna noticed…” Amber said watching Derek sat next to her while she laid down and rested her head on his legs.
“What are you talking about?” Derek asked.
“That we didn’t broke up.” Amber said. “I could see it in her face when you said that we were together again.”
“We can talk to her about it…” Derek said. “Just to make sure she understands why we had to lie.”
“I was so scared… the thought that you were dead was killing me…” Amber said looking at him.
“But I’m alive…” Derek said.
“Where did you put your phone?” Amber asked.
“I broke it when I threw him against the wall after seeing that picture, then it was completely gone before I landed.” Derek said.
“Did you warn your family that you were ok?” Amber asked.
“Shit!!” Derek started to panic. “My family is going to have a heart attack.”
Derek took his phone, but it didn’t work and what made it worse was that he cut himself trying to turn it on, Amber had to borrow him her phone, so he could tranquilize his family.
Amber was so happy that he was there, she was just looking at him walking back and forward during his calls, it made her relax, he was there with her again, God gave her one more opportunity for happiness.
Derek finally finished his calls and now he could have all his time for Amber.
“Babe when can we leave?” Derek asked.
“I don’t know, I have things to do if I wasn’t fired for having a panic attack…” Amber said hugging him.
“So, the day will be long!” Derek said bored.
“Why don’t you go to my place, take a shower and rest…” Amber suggested. “Then when I get home, I’ll make us dinner.”
“Fine, a shower would be great…” Derek said. “But I don’t want to sleep maybe I’ll watch that sandal thing you told me…”
Amber started laughing so hard.
“Sandal?” Amber kept laughing. “Scandal…”
“That…” Derek smiled. “Now give me a kiss before I go…”
Amber kissed him deeply, they were finally together again.
AMBER’S HOUSE:
Amber was finishing cooking their dinner and was getting ready to call Derek, when she got home, she found him sleeping in the couch with the last episode of the first season of scandal and she left him rest for a little.
Amber was about to go call him when he appeared in his pajamas with a mess of hair which she loved.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Derek asked before kissing her.
“You needed to rest!” Amber answered.
“I need to re-watch the last episode…” Derek said.
“I saw that you were able to find it.” Amber smiled remembering his text.
“Well, sometimes we just need to check things first…” Derek said smiling.
“I know…” Amber smiled. “Sit, we’re going to eat now and then I can watch the episode with you…”
“In bed?” Derek was very happy.
“We will see it in the couch and then we go to bed, I don’t want to fall asleep…” Amber said.
“You know I wouldn’t take advantage of the situation.” Derek said.
“In the couch you wouldn’t but in bed…” Amber said.
They had their dinner where they talked about the moments that they were apart, what they missed most about each other, and about their future before going to see the scandal episode.
At the end of the episode Amber knew she had to tell him about the pregnancy before going to bed.
“Derek, I have something to tell you.” Amber said.
“Your voice is already telling me that’s important.” Derek focused in Amber’s eyes.
“Because I don’t know how to say it and how you will react…” Amber was nervous.
“Just go for it…” Derek said. “You’re starting to get me worried.”
“Ok…” Amber looked at their hands together before saying anything and then look him in the eyes. “You’re going to be a dad!”
Derek was in shock with the news and Amber didn’t know what to say except.
“I’m pregnant!” Amber whispered to him.

Black Sails 1x02
See, this show is just so good, I can’t just let it wash over me. I really want to be able to keep up with it and have opinions on it. But to do that, I have to watch every episode twice and reflect on it. So I think watching this show will be most satisfying if I watch every episode twice and then write a post processing and reacting. At the least, I’ll keep this up for the first season. Community can be my Show To Watch Casually and Black Sails can be my Show I Put Effort Into.
I really can’t guess who my favorite character is going to end up being, but I said in my episode 1 reaction that Eleanor was my favorite, so let’s start with her. In episode 2 we learn that Eleanor is Max’s client and pays her for the privilege of being the only person Max is allowed to have actual sex with. I hope they will one day move beyond the arrangement where one of them is paying the other for a relationship, but it doesn’t stop me from shipping them because their relationship is deeper than just sex and because Max is clearly an eager participant. Max can tell that something is amiss with Eleanor because she keeps dwelling on her father, and Eleanor confides in Max that she fears the British are basically going to reestablish lawfulness in Nassau and her work will go to waste. Max suggests that the two of them open an inn, so it’s clear that she wants to be Eleanor’s future, but Eleanor is preoccupied with her current precarious job as a fence. Like what I said about Flint in episode 1, Eleanor may not be strictly law-abiding, but she has her own rules, her own code. She’s not inclined to let Vane’s crew’s rough treatment of that one prostitute slide just because they pay well. She disapproved of the way people in Nassau behaved like “animals” when her father ran the place. (She accuses Vane of letting his crew behave like “animals” too. More on that later.) She is capable of caring and promises to protect Max from Vane, but the fact of the matter is that she betrayed Max by bring Flint and Gates to her so they could make her tell them when and where Silver was going to give the schedule to Vane. Still, I’d say that’s forgivable, since she had every intention of protecting Max. What’s not forgivable is that when Max tells her to admit that she’ll let Gates and Flint try to get the information out of her by force, Eleanor can’t bring herself to say it, but she doesn’t deny it, either. Is Eleanor’s choice purely pragmatic or does is have any moral value? Obviously she doesn’t like Vane and we know she disapproves of his crew’s behavior, but her reason for supporting for Flint isn’t just “he’s a better person,” it’s “he’s more capable.” Eleanor doesn’t want to risk Vane becoming the main pirate in town because he can’t handle the British navy. The way I’m looking at it, putting business before Max was seriously cold, though Eleanor’s obvious inner torment mitigates it.
This betrayal leaves Max so defeated she doesn’t put up a fight. She just tells Flint and Gates what they want to know. Then she runs away. The prostitute whose name has not been mentioned assures Max that “Vane can’t get you here,” and Max says “I know, but I cannot stay.” Earlier, when Silver suggested the two of them run away with the money they’ll earn for the schedule, he wondered if there was something keeping her here. Eleanor is so important to Max that she was the only thing standing in the way of Max’s escape. Compare the exchange when Max tries to convince Eleanor to run away with her: “I've spent my life trying to build something here. It's all I have.” “It is not all you have!” Even after that, even after Max realizes that Eleanor has betrayed her, she still gives her one more chance to run away with her. I don’t think Max necessarily loves Eleanor more than the other way around, though it’s possible, but Eleanor is a bigger part of Max’s life than the other way around. It makes sense: Max is a prostitute whereas Eleanor basically runs Nassau. I’m not trying to make excuses for Eleanor, I’m just looking at why Max isn’t her priority like she is Max’s. Obviously what Eleanor did sucked, but I’m not going to stop shipping it. It’s only the second episode. She has almost four seasons to redeem herself. I do wonder what would have happened if she had just told Flint and Gates to stay behind and just talked to Max.
Max may be tricky, but she’s basically pure and sweet. I would say that so far she’s one of the moral centers of the show in the sense that she’s a relatively good spot in a sea of moral ambiguity and downright badness. I’m trying to not jump to conclusions about characters I barely know, but I get the sense that she might be the sort of character who’s basically a metric for other characters’ moral quality; like, you’re a good person if and only if you’re nice to her. (Kinda like Kaylee from Firefly or Gwen from Merlin.)
The other moral center is Billy Bones. In his case, it’s because he is (IMO, at least) the one whose attitude toward his moral environment is the most relatable. When we first go aboard the ship, the first shot is a close-up of Billy looking positively sick with angst while (almost) everyone else celebrates Singleton’s death. When Gates says he did the right thing by pretending Singleton had stolen the schedule, Billy reminds him that he tasked him with making sure Flint didn’t go too far. “That’s not going too far?” Gates supplies him with two excuses: “Singleton was no saint” and Flint can handle the immanent war against civilization better than Singleton can. Billy isn’t consoled. Billy also voices his concern that Flint is getting tyrannical. Basically, it seems that his role is to be the main dude who challenges and criticizes Flint. I hope Flint will learn a lot from him. Another relatable thing about Billy is that when he and Gates are supposed to be tracking Silver down, Gates is able to relax and people-watch for a little while whereas Billy is like “CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK TO THIS IMPORTANT TIME-SENSITIVE TASK.”
Silver just gets better and better. Honestly, Flint is lucky to have him on board. He’s seriously smart. First, he eludes Flint, Gates, and Billy by asking a bunch of people for directions to different places so that when his pursuers show up and ask where he went, everyone points in different directions. Second, when F, G & B intervene in his transaction with Vane, he memorizes the schedule and burns it so they can’t kill him. It’s even possible that he has a heart: when Vane is roughing up Max, he finds a weapon and presumably intends to intervene until Max signals not to do so.
I said in my recap of part 1 that Vane was the character who ended the episode looking the least vulnerable. That is no longer true. He goes to Eleanor to confront her about not keeping him in the loop about potential prizes, thinking it’s because they broke up, and she shuts him down for underestimating her and being self-centered. He’s all ready to gloat at Flint about his deposition, and when Flint shows up still captain, as soon as he’s gone, Vane flips out. He doesn’t have an iron grip on his crew, either, since Rackham is always challenging him. It’s great that Vane is not a one-dimensional Force of Power; it gives Zach McGowan something to do. It’s unlikely Vane will become as boring as Roan. God, why is Roan so boring?
Rackham was this week’s breakout character. He’s brilliant and level-headed. He correctly deduces that Flint is only pretending to have the schedule and that Max is telling the truth. Being more rational than Vane, who at that moment is holding Max by the throat, makes him look like a better person, but it’s impossible to tell if there’s any truth in that. It will be interesting to compare the Vane/Rackham and Flint/Gates dynamics. They’re similar in that both captains do reckless things and both #2 guys are like “you do realize this is reckless right” but Rackham seems more willing to challenge his captain, maybe because they have less to lose. Does Toby Schmitz remind anyone else of Devon Bostick?
Mr. Scott plays kind of a similar role for Eleanor: the down-to-earth second-in-command constantly annoyed by his boss’s shenanigans. Whereas Eleanor can be impetuous and, well, kind of dramatic, Scott is sensible and understands priorities. It may be tempting to lash out against Vane, but she can’t afford to do it. They have a sweet father-daughter-ish relationship.
Finally, there’s my man Flint. I just have to say that I love his interpretation of that weird part in the Odyssey with the prophecy about the place where people don’t know what an oar is. “For that would be the place that no man had ever been troubled by the sea. And that's where he'd find peace.” I’m going to keep the Odyssey in mind going forward, obvs. All Flint really wants is “to walk away from the sea and find some peace.” But is that goal compatible with his dream of establishing “a nation of thieves”? I don’t think so, but maybe he was saying that’s only the plan if it comes to war. Another thing we learn about Flint is that he’s got something you could call idealism: when Scott scoffs at the idea of “turning pirates into farmers and soldiers,” Flint protests, “They’re not animals. They’re men, starved of hope.” I was hoping I could think of a way to connect this statement to Eleanor describing certain pirates as behaving “like animals,” but I’m not sure what to say.
I really wish I had more profound things to say, but at least by writing this I’ve helped myself get a handle on the characters and plot.

Thoughts on 6.10 “Wish You Were Here”
This was a fun Swan Queen episode and we got some hope for RumBelle as well, though, on the whole, I wouldn’t call this the most exciting winter finale ever, and I can’t believe we have to wait till March for the second half!
My Fan fiction My Once Upon a Time episode reviews, essays, and meta
Methinks the Evil Queen doth protest too much - of course she still loves Robin. She’s a bad liar, but Regina apparently believed her.
The sword can hurt the queen - I was pretty sure that Regina would be there when Emma did something to the queen with that sword so that they could all see that, while it hurt the queen, it didn’t hurt Regina. Not sure I like how fast the Saviour Emma Swan jumps to ‘It can kill her’ and attempts to do just that. Clearly a wasted effort removing her darkness, Snowing.
Rumple, I’m in no mood - too bad, Queenie. Yes, I love protective Rumple. And, yes, that’s where one of those cuffs belongs, on your enemy, not your wife. You’re getting it, Rumple.
The Evil Queen needs to die - look at Regina’s face, Emma. People need to start accepting that the Queen is part of Regina.
Henry telling her not to - he’s worried, of course, and frustrated that she won’t listen to him. I think he’s probably tired of his family putting themselves in danger.
Emma refusing to let Regina sacrifice herself - I love the supportiveness. Emma gets, on some level, that there’s something not right with Regina. She’s too reckless.
The Evil Queen’s wish for Emma - knew that was going to come back to haunt Emma. It was interesting to see her react so negatively, suggests she is happy being the Saviour after all.
Princess Emma of the Enchanted Forest - ok, that was so funny. That so wasn’t Emma at all.
Nealfire moment - I LOVED this! It was so lovely to see that hero portrait. So glad he and Emma found each other in that world.
Henry wants to be a hero - so much so that he isn’t pleased when his grandmother says this family’s done fighting. I foresee trouble with young Henry’s unrealised hero ambitions…
How do you share a home with someone and not know their secrets? - Um, David?
Rumple and the magic globe - I love that the magic is gold :) I knew it wouldn’t work, though - that’d be too easy, but for there not to be even a trace…that’s worrying.
The Evil Queen and Aladdin - I can only echo Aladdin’s feeling. ‘Ew’. Aladdin was great in this episode :)
Regina realising she is also master of the lamp - good girl, Regina! You remembered you and the queen are the same and it worked to your advantage.
Regina and the dwarfs - I love how she’s so happy to see them!
Singing princess Emma - so not Emma! It was interesting to see Regina dressed as a prince, meeting Princess Emma. The Swan Queen was so overt this episode. Adam and Eddy know what they wrote, right?
Mom, Daddy, please help - again, so not Emma!
Rumple in the queen’s castle - cool scene. Crazy imp Rumple is great, and it’s been ages since we’ve seen him. That was a great scene between Lana and Robert. And I kind of love how Rumple just accepted the whole ‘you’re not real’ thing! Just goes to show he’s seen it all :)
Let’s start with actions - oh, Rumple, you beauty! Keep going like this and you’ll win her back. I love that that’s the first thing he does: it means he knows it was wrong and is undoing it quickly. I love that he knows he has to follow through with actions. My heart broke at Belle’s sniffle, and the teddy bear - sob!
Regina as the Evil Queen interrupts Henry’s knighting - great call back to the pilot, and I like the new version of the Evil Queen outfit. It was also interesting to see Lana play that scene as well - like acting the Evil Queen instead of being the Evil Queen - fabulous!
David tricking the queen - ooh, who knew David could be devious?! One of his best scenes, I think.
David’s wish for the queen - that she get exactly what’s coming to her, and, of course, he calls her a snake, so that’s what the man in the hood - aka Gideon - turns her into. Poetic justice. Really, though, it’s a way to give Lana a break and let Regina play out the whole wish Robin scenario. Of course, Robin is part of David’s wish too, since Regina and the Queen are the same person.
Emma, Regina, Henry, and Snowing at Regina’s castle - that was kind of intense. I think, despite what Regina said, she did kill Snow and Charming: she did crush their hearts. The way she did that too was interesting, like she got carried away with her frustration - a little darkness coming out. Emma’s reaction was interesting too - Princess Emma not knowing how to fight. I think, as much as people think it was Regina refusing to fight Henry that brought Emma back, I think it was Henry himself. She even says it was because he was willing to become dark, everything she never wanted for him, that brought her back and made her realise this world isn’t real. This makes more sense given the deleted scene from season five, where, in the Underworld, Emma tells Henry ‘Never darken your soul, not even for me’. It’s her love for Henry that brings her back, though, of course, Regina is the catalyst.
Rumple, Belle, and Blue - I do wonder about Blue here. She looks pretty beat up, but couldn’t she have fought harder to protect Gideon? And does she know that the Black Fairy is Rumple’s mother? I know some people thought she was looking at him, but I’m not sure. I think the camera moved to him from her for his reaction, but I don’t know that she knew. If she did, she could have found it out in the intervening time between freeing Belle to save the baby and now, or else she always knew, which might explain why she hates Rumple so much, and why she wanted him out of the Enchanted Forest all those years ago.
Emma, Regina, and Rumple - I do love this scene. Emma’s little smile when he says he’s off to raze some fake villages :) And Rumple keeping his promise on behalf of all Rumplestiltskins everywhere :)
David won’t use a wish to wake Snow - probably wise. He gets that magic comes with a price and he doesn’t want that near his wife. Still, I wonder when we’ll see this curse broken. It’s like Snowing is getting the RumBelle treatment - separated by sleeping curse. It is nice, though, that it’s not RumBelle in sleeping curses or comas for once!
Do you trust me? - I love how they switched that line :) And farewell for a while to Aladdin and Jasmine. I have no doubt we’ll be seeing them again soon.
Belle believes Rumple - ha! In your face, Queenie! I love that she was wrong, I love that Rumple could simply tell Belle the truth and she WOULD believe him. That shows two things. The first is that Belle isn’t so far away from trusting and believing in Rumple as we’ve been led to believe, and the second is that nobody, and certainly not the queen, really understands the depth of the bond between RumBelle. It also shows that the queen, and everyone else, underestimates Belle and her love for Rumple.
What have we done to each other? - There, one line is all it takes to highlight that both of them have made mistakes and both are to blame. I know a lot of people have been saying the show is only blaming Rumple: that’s palpably not true. This season, especially, but previously as well, they have hurt each other. I do believe that everything stems from Rumple keeping secrets back at the end of season three, and not trusting her like he said he did, but Belle has caused her share of hurt too, especially this season. I do think there are mitigating circumstances for both of them, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t both been hurt by the other. I like Belle acknowledging this, and looking really sorry and heartbroken about it
We have to work together - yes! Yes, yes, please, please, please! Put those two big brains together and fix this. I am so here for a half season that has Belle and Rumple working on a mission together, even going on an adventure together. Give it to me!
Time runs differently there. Nothing makes sense. Anything is possible - that’s the show! Nothing makes sense and time does run differently and anything is possible! :) And, of course, in walks their adult son! Dun, dun, dun! Not convinced he’s evil, even though he is the one under the hood. I think the big bad is more likely the Black Fairy or Jafar. I also think, because Rumple says anything is possible, it’s possible that more than one Gideon exists at once. Maybe dream Gideon, adult Gideon, and baby Gideon all exist together at the same time, and RumBelle can get their baby son back in the end.
Wish world Robin - this is going to be interesting. I’m wondering if this is going to be a ‘what could have been’ scenario, like they’re giving pre-Evil Queen Regina the chance to walk into that tavern and meet Robin as he would have been back then, to sort of play out Page 23. That way, we could have Regina realise that she and her Robin met at the right time, that they fell in love because of their histories and because of the people they became, that it wouldn’t have worked out had they met back then. I think realising that would allow Regina to let Robin go, and allow her to accept back the Queen as part of herself, the part that makes her strong, determined, and understanding of other people’s darkness. We shall see. I’m happy to see Sean back anyway :)

{{ Drama time.
☄ While watching a scary movie, are they the one clinging to a friend or being clung to?
Dove isn’t too fond of clinging at all when it comes to horror movies. (Touching someone, making physical contact with their body, sharpens and clarifies her otherwise-vague empathy, and fear is NOT something she needs more of in her life.) She doesn’t like showing weakness outwardly, when she can help it... but if anyone tried to cling to her while feeling terror, anyone except her daughter, or maybe Srentha or Kary: She’d have to inch away, for both their sakes.
She’s known to sit on the edge of the couch and brace herself between the back cushions and the armrest, and remain absolutely still. (Or, if something she can’t watch happens, which is fairly often, she’ll just bury her face in her arms, or the cushions, and refuse to watch until the dramatic horror music stops. Assuming she doesn’t get up and try to sneak away in the first place.)
(Outside of the horror movie scenario, given trust, time, and enough familiarity with someone: She’s more likely to be clinging to them in fear. Any other emotion, and she’s most likely being clung TO. Dove is a calm, comforting presence when she’s not emotionally or psychologically burned, and she’s very good at reassuring her friends when they need it.)
♚ Do they consider themselves to be evil?
Yes. At least, she knows there’s evil IN her. She knows she doesn’t WANT to be evil... but she also knows that, unless she wanted to rip her mind, soul, and very existence apart: There’s no way for her to escape it. This was the harsh truth brought to her in “Dove’s Dark Discovery”. Whether she IS actually evil, or not, she isn’t entirely sure. But she hopes, at least, that if she never, ever RISKS giving into Trigon’s influence again, she will never have to know if there’s enough good in her to balance it out.
☾ What is their favorite and least favorite thing about the night?
The night is Dove’s favorite time of day. It’s darker, it’s quieter, it’s relaxing, it tends to be less overstimulating and a time when she can settle into calm, and be alone. She love watching the stars, she likes the color of moonlight, and she loves that she can even look up at the sky, without her eyes being stung by the light.
But her least favorite thing about it is easily the nightmares, the flashbacks especially. She can’t control it. She can’t stop it before it happens. (Unless she decides to stop sleeping, which she does have a history of doing.) But then all she’s left with is time, dread, and determination to fight against whatever thoughts try creeping in until morning. If she has to remember these things, she’d much rather be awake, and able to mitigate her emotions, than risk her subconscious plaguing her with uncontrollable relentless panicked memories.
╳ How would they react to seeing a loved one become possessed?
Absolutely terribly. The presence alone would send her into a whirlwind of internal conflict; why do her powers feel so STRONG around it, could she have saved her friend if she’d been more careful, did her presence somehow bring it to them?! She would be frozen, and uncertain. She wouldn’t want to act because she wouldn’t know what to do... but inevitably she’d have to try SOMETHING, and she’d act as if they were “possessed” the same way she feels when she completely gives in to her own demon. She’d try to talk them out of it, convince them to stop, and reach out with every psychic sense she has to try and bring them back.
But she would always have that feeling in the back of her mind: of how she had surrendered, ALLOWED it to happen, and how helpless, hopeless, and resigned she’d become. She would quickly accept that they can’t fight it, if she sensed no flicker of their awareness in their minds. If it came to battle, she would do everything she could to incapacitate them, without hurting them. (And, to be honest, she’d find herself outmatched, because she’d restrain her powers so completely. Eventually she’d unleash more and more telepathic abilities until she’s able to, at the very least, hold the entity in place, or so engaged with her that it doesn’t hurt her friend anymore.)
If she were to learn more about demons (inevitable, after such an encounter): she’d want to find out why it happened in the first place (and try to fix whatever was broken enough to let it in), and see if it can be stopped for future people, and she’d pray it wasn’t related to any bigger event, especially not something Trigonic. (If it was? She’d be on the front lines of preventative reconnaissance, tracking, and assessment.)
✿ Would they ever trust dark or wicked magic?
She trusts it in Raven’s hands, unconditionally. Kary, another OC of mine, and an eventual friend of Dove’s (very close friend), wields magic from a very selfish, sadistic, semi-sentient entity sewn into her soul, and she trusts it in Kary’s hands (...for the most part). Her own power comes from “the source of all darkness”, a being literally born of violence, cruelty, and sadism. And yet, she understands that so long as its holder is in control, dark is only a descriptor, and morality has nothing to do with its source.
Initially, it does send a chill down her spine and put her on edge. It is very much an effort of conscious trust and learned habit that lets her stand with them so readily... but she IS able to stand them.
