#the way marvel has handled tony is so funny tho

i mean, i would contest some of this analysis, because there's also the fact that the films do in fact handle Tony's problem as being heart-exclusive. it should affect his lung capacity, logically, but textually it doesn't.

and he declared at the end of IM3 that he Fixed It For Good, in a little narrated science montage that framed not having gotten around to fixing his disability before this as a matter of lacking the correct form of motivation, self-respect, and clarity of purpose--as, in fact, a result of character flaws he was now triumphing over.

tony's cure was presented as a moral victory in the battle of man-against-self. he's rewarded for his strength of will and brilliance by being freed from his disability.

so the parts of the fandom that engage with the idea that tony stark has a disability that extends in scope beyond 'dependent for heart function on giant epic pacemaker that also powers his supersuit' and in time past 'Iron Man III' are the parts of the fandom that are motivated to actively read interesting human frailties into the character, even against the text. very normal fandom activity! no shade!

this is also true to a considerable extent of the people willing to engage with steve rogers as someone experienced with human frailty. it was an explicit, thematically centered part of the text in the first Captain America film, but marvel hasn't actively acknowledged it since, so you have to care about his character to read it as still relevant.

i definitely noticed back when i was still reading MCU fic that tony-centric stories quite routinely characterized steve without any acknowledgement that he hadn't always been exactly what he looks like in Avengers (2012), to a sometimes comical degree, because that was the text the fic writers were engaging with and they had no motive to engage with cap any deeper.

the thing is that i, personally, find people interested in expanding further on tony stark's human frailties tend to be really insufferable about it.

because the iron man films traffic in a moral logic where suffering somehow pays off harmful behavior. like if Tony gets tazed by SHIELD Agents this means he's been 'punished' for his 'childish' lashing-out and destructive reactions to his impending mortality, which then closes the book on those actions and relegates them to the past, paid down like bills and therefore irrelevant, in some elaborate system of balances where at the end if you get a positive sum due to stacking up enough moral tax write-offs you have Won at Good Guy.

since this is the logic of the films, it gets extended into the fandom a lot, and i find it a toxic and distressing moral framework to begin with and absolutely heinous as a way to approach disability.

like honestly i've seen the idea of tony's hypothetical physical disability as well as his actual textual one leveraged to raise his whump score and thereby forcibly render him more sympathetic so many times i am exhausted at the thought of engaging with the idea even in purest good faith, because at this point i expect it to be used for emotional manipulation.

meanwhile the people interested in Steve's history of disability can be absolutely precious about it, and the ones getting in shoving competitions with Iron Man fans can be terribly smug, but quite a lot of the time outside that they're just examining it, and its impact on his character, and its historical context, rather than trying to Win anything.

it's allowed to just exist. so i prefer that by a lot.

What would be interesting is taking the way neither of them ever want to deal with their own damage, and the deep shame they both attach to weakness, and like. Looking at how that relates to disability issues in the larger world, and how many things haven't really changed.

Something something Steve Roger's was disabled and became able-bodied, Tony Stark was able-bodied and became disabled, the processes that led to those changes were intimately connected to their becoming heroes and just as connected to their respective treatments by fandom

Marvel in Chronological Order, Mommah has opinions.

Captain America I: Steve just is the arch type hero. Chris and Seb look ridiculously good in uniforms. Hugo Weaving will never not be a great actor. Steve in the present is the perfect scene to kick off the Avenger Recruiting Process.

Captain Marvel: I like almost everything about this film, except the main arc, which is just badly executed. The premise of the arc is good, but falls flat. The Skrull being framed is such a strong point as is Fury coming into his role. Goose and Monica are my favs in this film.

Iron Man I: It is fucking Eery how real this film is. This shit could just happen in real life. RDJ just IS Tony Stark. Other than that I just don't find this film all too engaging but that is just my taste.

Iron Man II: Good for building Tony into an Avenger, easing him into the suit more comfortably, but I find him kind of a prat in this film. This is also probably the film in which I like Natasha the best. Justin Hammer has ADHD.

Thor I: There is so much to say about this film! Like Josh Dallas is utterly unrecognisable as Fandral. Thor looks different in civi than in his asgardian clothes, it is weird. Loki has kicked puppy face 80% of this film. SLEIPNIR!!!! Loki's fucken firstborn! Odin will never not win worst father of the year award. Gods I love Loki!

Avengers I: The more often I see this film the firmer I believe Loki was not in 100% control of his own mind. Tony's nicknames are never getting old. Neither does Mjolnir vs The Shield. Bruce is a peach and I will always defend him. 'I am a big fan of how you turn into an enormous green rage monster' TONY NO! Avengers perform better under pressure. Also Steve facing anything tachy is adorable.

Thor II: Loki's hair! His prison outfit! Odin is still an asshole who should not be allowed near anyone ever. How did Frigg not file for divorce yet. The theory is interesting, but not worked out in the execution all the way. Loki has an impulse control issue and I adore him. Also yay for Christopher Eccleston.

Iron Man III: PTSD Central, this is Tony speaking. IMHO the plot is a little disjointed and not very engaging. It is Tony/Rhodey/Pepper and their character arcs that make this film engaging. Tony is still a bit of an asshole.

Captain America II: Another of those realistic scenario MCU films. So many great lines! On Your Left. Bucky is so dogged and it breaks my heart. Seb looks great with longer hair tho. I love how Steve just never gives up. Maybe a bit foolish but such a Steve thing. Sam bringing all the best moments!

Guardians of the Galaxy I: A wicked good film and so fucking funny. The soundtrack is of course outstanding and the characters are some of the best in the MCU, IMHO. They are misfits thrown together and that works so well! Gamora is one of my fav MCU ladies and Peper Quill never does not crack me up. We Are Groot. Even when he's blue Lee Pace affects me!

Guardians of the Galaxy II: Misfits finding each other part 2. Found family will always be one of my favourite tropes. Drax' nipples, y'all. Rocket is a comfirmed Trash Panda. Did the guy's name 'Ego' not ring any alarmbells??? Peter and Gamora are such a ship, especially because they are the slowest of burns. I love baby Groot! Drax really has a weird way of flirting. YONDO IS MARY POPPINS BYE.

Avengers II: I immensely enjoy Paul Bethany's voice. The party at Stark's is 100. Thor's outfit! Steve already being worthy-ish. Rhodey just wants to belong! I already adore Wanda!!! Oh hey Smeagol! I just can't seperate Andy Serkis from Smeagol lmao. Oh Clint's family, so wholesome!!! That doctor/scientist woman is sooooo beautiful. NO NOT PIETRO!!!! Yes, I do prefer Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Pietro.

Antman I: Scott is such a mood, like 100% of the time. He is up there with the science bro's when it comes to intelligence, but he is just such a dweeb and I love it. He handles social interaction with all the grace of juggling hot potatoes and half of this film I am just going 'Scott no'. Evangeline Lily is so beautiful in this film! Yay for the Sameo! And we'll not tell Steve, we promise. I adore the way Marvel normalises differently constructed families. I love Scott's daughter!

Captain America III: Team Steve, all the way!!! Wanda and Vision are such a ship. Vision looks oddly good in civi clothes. POOR FUCKING BUCKY!!! Did I just see it correctly, was Zemo watching a Dutch newscast??? Vision awkwardly flirting with Wanda, oh gods hold me! Oh Scott, oh you awkward darling. PETER IS SUCH A BEB. Protecc him! He can't shut his mouth to save his ass, can he? STEVE HE IS A KID, HE CAREFUL WITH HIM. Sam's 'I hate you' to Bucky is so telling. 'Give me back my Rhodey' Tony's best line up till that point! RHODES NO, NOT RHODES.

Black Panther: You will be missed, Chadwick Boseman. The real MVP's are Nakia and M'Baku. T'Challa is a true one for throwing open Wakanda. Third World Countries all around it need so much help and Wakanda can absolutely do it. Why is Andy Serkis sexy in this film. Erik in that denim jacket hurts my soul, it looks so good. Battle Rhino's fuck yeah! Shuri is annoying, where even are her flaws?

Doctor Strange: I feel this film is more about Stephen's character arc than a plot otherwise. The villains are very undetailed and Stephen deals with them rather quickly. Not that I mind the character centric films, but this is one that stands out as obvious. I can't really unsee Ben as Sherlock, which makes it a bit harder for me to stay focussed on the film. I also keep forgetting Mads Mikkels plays a MCU villain. Wong is awesome!

Thor III: Arguably the best Thor film. At least Loki is afforded some dignity. Though not enough by far. I love his outfits in this film. Thor does look better with short hair. JEFF GOLDBLUM FUCK YEAH. Also all hands in the air for Korg. The soundtrack of this film is amazing! I love Thor in Strange's place, such a dolt. HELA IS A MISSED OPPORTUNITY, ESPECIALLY BC SHE HAS THE SAME COLOUR SCHEME AS LOKI. Lokispawn opportunity wasted, such a shame. Also Thor being the odd one out gives me such a illigitimate son feeling. In myth he is not even Frigg's son. IMPLICATIONS BRUCE HAS A BIGGER DONG THAN TONY, I SEE IT. Also, Loki redeemed, fuck yeah!

Antman II: Oh more Dork Scott, yay! He is such a good dad! Also yay for child petname paralels. Scott dreaming about young Hope is adorbs. Janet is also a very beautiful woman. The plot feels, to me,a bit all over the place between recovering Janet and the Ghost-girl thing and the FBI also mixing in.

Infinity War: I DON'T WIKE IT!!! How dare they kill Loki in the first fucking five minutes. 'The Sun Will Shine on us Again' without payoff, fuck this entire film. Vision and Wanda are OTP!!! Stephen and Tony were definitely flirting. Tony's commentary is 100. Why is Thor calling Rocket a Rabbit, he does not look remotely like one and I am pretty sure Thor knows what a rabbit is! Gamora's death never not hurts. Bucky spinning Rocket around, fuck yeah! Mr Stark, I don't feel so good. Bucky calling out for Steve before he faded. I DON'T WIKE THIS FILM!

Endgame: I really don't like this one. So many misses in characterisation. The plot is intrinsically sound, but everything around it is just BLEH. I hate what they did to Thor, like they just stripped him of his dignity. I don't like BruceHulk, he's just odd. And I L O A T H E Steve's end. Like the fuck, that is 100% not Steve and you know it. I absolutely do not mind him passing on the shield to Sam, let a fellow retire, but leaving behind Bucky to let him do his healing alone? Changing the life Peggy had? N O! Also Carol Ex Machina, puhlease. Things I did like were Nebula slowly softening up. Morgan being an absolute bean. Rhodes, just the entirety of him. Scott getting called Regular sized man. The emotion between Nat and Clint! Clint being an absolute family man!!! Frigg knows. SAM GETTING THE SHIELD.

ok .... so .. I watched endgame ... and I honestly dont kno how to feel. dont get me wrong, it was a good movie but there was so much stuff that's honestly giving me a headache rn. I'm gonna try to say my thoughts below but its prob gonna be disjointed so be warned n yea massive spoilers below obviously

ok stuff I liked included the massive battle scene at the end I cheered the shit out of that it was the best part of the movie hands down. jokes wer fairly well except for one major thing I'll get into. i also Loved sam getting the shield i screamed when that happened. i also think they did tony good like his death felt natural to me n fit w his character n at least he got to be really happy for five years n got to reunite w peter before he went n like hey he saved the universe too which i was scared was gonna go to steve which i would Not have liked. n yea that's.. p much it for stuff I really liked. most other scenes I was like meh or ?????

ok now shit I have Major issues w ......

1) ok let me get this out of the way now .... time travel always fucks w things. u can never use time travel unless u specifically planned for it since the beginning n even then u gotta be Very careful cause timeline shit is fragile. the whole "we gotta put the time stones back so the timelines dont get fucked EVEN THO BOTH GAMORA AND THANOS R NO LONGER IN THE PAST ANYMORE ??????" I'm sorry but I cant just let that go that's too much to ignore n the fact that steve went back n is still in that exact timeline means that the gamora thanos missing thing applies to that timeline too which would make no sense for infinity war n guardians of the galaxy. its is The biggest peeve I have n I really cant look past that. anyway moving on

2) speaking of the jokes, I Hated what they did to thor. his entire thing was a fat joke. they made him depressed n fat n purposefully ugly w that body prosthetic n played it for a joke. even his supposedly emotional scenes wer drowned out by jokes, n I hated it n was uncomfortable n i am so sad about what theyv done to him especially after ragnarok also fuck u even more u get TWO hammers whatevr

3) speaking of hammers WHY was steve able to pick up thors hammer now ??? like i get it looked cool but what exactly changed from age of ultron to now that had steve become worthy of picking up the hammer cause in my opinion he did nothing to warrant this (uh oh my anti steve side is showing)

4) i really think they shouldve either killed steve or didnt have him show up after going back w the stones cause one it would fix the time thing since hes the one thing thats proving that the whole film is one timeline n two it just i think would feel a lot better. like bucky obviously knew what steve was gonna do he wasnt surprised at all so when steve goes in n doesnt come back out have bucky hand sam the shield n a letter explaining why he didnt come back n that hes entrusting the cap name to same now. i kno it wouldnt have the same idk emotional satisfaction or whatever of having steve himself hand the shield over but i mean i didnt feel that i only felt joy for sam getting this title so i wouldv preferred it the other way just my thoughts on that

5) the whole natasha n clint fighting to see who jumps off the cliff for the soul stone scene was honestly ... really funny to me. like they were throwing things n physically fighting to get the chance to kill themselves n i was holding back laughter i really thought they were both gonna go over n whoops guess wer not getting the soul stone cause no ones left to grab it enfskkds plus i felt nothing when natasha died like it obviously shouldv been her cause she has no one (yea yea except the avengers or whatever blah blah) while clint has an entire family to save so yea not surprised there. (also small thing cause its mostly just me but did really no one kno the requirements for the soul stone ? like u kno gamora died there n thanos got the stone n u couldnt piece the pieces together enough to plan for this ?? whatever like i said its a small thing mostly me moving on)

6) i also think they should have killed more people than they did like going from infinity war to these two deaths felt strange especially w the big ass battle AND the building getting exploded like im sorry but the fact that NO ONE died from those missiles is just sonfjknsdjknfskjd nah

7) ALSO back to the stones thing HOW would steve put the soul stone back. HOW. n like he would have to go back to where they got it which is where red skull is. RED. SKULL. UR TELLING ME WE COULD HAVE SEEN THIS INTERACTION IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOLD. its like they even though this whole bring the stones back plan was bullshit n couldnt find a way to actually do it so they didnt show it at all n was like “nah nah its fine its fine shh look steves old now” (but i guess it wouldnt even matter anyway cause after 2014 thanos is just gone from the timeline forever i guess)

8) also merged bruce hulk is real weird to me n i dont like it that much. his overall character was fine but the whole combined hulk n bruce thing was too much of a jump for me n one of the main pulls of bruces character is his dynamic w hulk so getting rid of that completely to just have ... one big strong smart green guy just made me lose interest in him real quick. plus he looks like shrek n i hate it. 

EDIT: 9) I ALMOST FORGOT n this also might be answered in far from home but the people who were dusted missed the whole five years right ?? wer still five years in the future from infinity war right ???? so how the fuck is far from home gonna go. r they just gonna be like uhhh no yea all the major student characters from homecoming wer dusted n thats why theyr all still in high school in this movie too n even if they do that what about all their classmates n shit who werent dusted ?? n the fact that prob the majority of the grade r people who were really five years younger than them but r now kinda the same age is fucking wild n i Need them to address this. honestly dont like that the time leap was so big i get they needed that time but also i think a year wouldv had the same affect while keeping the missed time of the dusted people at a low, two years tops would have been good for me but not five whole years. of course if they handle this well in future marvel movies then ill be fine but rn im skeptical

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR INFINITY WAR

So, I saw Infinity War last night, and it was fucking a m a z i n g

-SPOILERS AHEAD, SO BEWARE-  -SPOILERS AHEAD, SO BEWARE-

My thoughts on a few things and some of my favorite parts:

- Not even 10 minutes into the movie. Loki, man. What the fuck. 

- The dynamic between Tony and Strange was hilarious, but also really interesting. I really, REALLY hope that Strange’s death isn’t permanent, and in the future, we get to see more of them together, because their intelligence together would do great things.

- Peter is so adorable. Him and the pop culture references were so cute and funny

- Quill making his voice sound deeper in front of Thor. Priceless.

- Thor and Rocket having a weird, but sad heart-to-heart. Thor’s “What more could I lose?” hurt, but Rocket saying under his breath “I have a lot to lose” hurt even more. Rocket, though he doesn’t want to admit it, loves his team, and considers them his family.

- STEVE ROGERS WITH THAT BEARD, THO. MMMMMMHMMM

- The bubble gun

- It was pretty dope seeing Red Skull on Vormir as the keeper of the soul stone.

- Thanos shedding tears as he realizes he has to kill Gamora made me tear up a bit. It was...odd, seeing Thanos, of all people, cry, but proved that regardless of everything that happened, he actually loved Gamora like a daughter, and it was devastating to see her try to fight him off when he grabbed her.

- “I have a better question. Why is Gamora?”

- Bruce and Natasha finally seeing each other after years.

- According to Doctor Strange, out of 14,000,506 outcomes, they only win one. That has to come into play somehow in the second part. Maybe. The time stone is probably going to play a big role, too, somehow.

- I’m sure others have thought the same thing, and probably explained why it wouldn’t have worked, but I’ll still mention it. When Doctor Strange, Spiderman, Iron Man, the the remaining guardians were holding Thanos down to get the gantlet off, couldn’t Strange have made a portal ring and cut Thanos whole hand off, instead of trying to pry it off? Not only would they have portaled it away from Thanos, but they probably could have escaped at the same time. Idk  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

- Fucking Quill. I know that he was mad. I get that he was furious that Gamora was dead. It was an emotional response. I get it it. But don’t sit there and tell me he didn’t fuck up by punching Thanos.

- Thor literally withstanding the power of a star.

- Groot finally snapping out of his game to help Thor by making the handle, and pretty much saved his life in the process.

- I’m sorry, but I’m gonna say it. I really didn’t care much for Scarlet Witch or Vision. They’re not bad characters, but I just couldn’t get myself to actually give a shit about their romance. I was more upset at the fact that Thanos was able to get the mind stone from Vision then Vision’s death itself. It was still sad, though.

- Bucky and Steve hugging  👌 👌 👌

- The whole fight scene in Wakanda was EPIC AS FUCK.

- Strange giving Thanos the time stone so he would spare Tony. FFFFFF ;o;

- Rocket and Bucky shooting enemies together.  👌

- Thanos getting all six stones, and snapping his fingers, literally burning the gantlet out.

- When people started disintegrating, the entire theater gave a collective gasp and multiple “what the fuck?” could be heard, including one from both my mom and I.

- Bucky’s confused “Steve?” as he disintegrated in front of Steve, forcing Steve to helplessly watch as he died for a second time.

- T’Challa trying to help Okoye up by telling her she can’t die like that, and disintegrates in front of her, causing her to fail her duty of protecting the king.

- Sam disintegrating and James calling out for him, not knowing he was gone. 

- Groot disintegrating in front of Rocket, and Rocket helplessly saying “No, no, no, no” as he can’t do anything to stop it.

- The remaining guardians, minus Rocket, disintegrating, leaving Rocket as the sole remaining guardian, and ultimately leaving him alone, as his entire team/family is dead.

- “Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good.”

- TONY HOLDING PETER AND SAYING IT WAS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT AND COMFORTING HIM IN PETER’S FINAL MOMENTS BEFORE DISINTEGRATING. I LOST IT RIGHT HERE. I CRIED. And what hurts even more is knowing that even if Peter had listened to Tony and stood behind, PETER STILL WOULD HAVE DIED.

- Strange telling Tony it was bound to happen this way before disintegrating.

- Literally Thanos can eat an entire ass

Oof, that was longer than expected, but in all, it was fantastic movie. For a two and half hour film, I can honestly say there wasn’t a single moment that didn’t have my full attention. I’d say a solid 9/10, only because my bOY SPIDEY DIED FUUUUUUUCK

and yeah agent carter wrapped up a lot of loose ends from the first cap and it meant so much to me while it was airing and having this movie just completely erase Literally everything that happened in those 2 seasons was a punch in the gut. esp because they just treated peggy as a “”reward”” for steve at the end… it was weird and bad! after peggy had literally moved on!!! and then endgame was like sousa?? never heard of him. by the way steve kissed his literal actual niece in civil war :) we made it even weirder than it already was :)

other mcu hating women moments was captain marvel in endgame supposedly being one of the most powerful superheroes but she only had like seven lines ohhhhhh my god. and killing off black widow… that sure was a choice!!! and i know these are all white women so like the few crumbs in this movie about women were. entirely white. girlboss!1!!1!1!1!2!!32

but even if i overlooked the abysmal treatment of women in this movie it just. wasnt good anyway. everything they did with thor especially was just… yikes! they completely ignored everything that happened in ragnorak they killed off loki in like the first five minutes they gave thor back his eye and his hammer and then they turned his depression into a running gag and it was like haha hes fat now isnt that funny!! *fornite joke* and i was like im in hell im literally in hell

not to mention the way they handled time travel was like the worst take ive ever seen. the plot was just flimsy and thanos isnt even a good villain like there is not really a memorable scene in this entire film and they hyped it up so much. russo brothers how does it feel to be literally so inconsequential (and the fact that russo brothers also wrote winter soldier which is about steve trying to move on from the past…what happened. WHAT HAPPENED?? im convinced they have a ghost writer or something because its the worst 180 ive ever seen.)

agents of shield interlude because its my favorite marvel thing: it is so good. like there are better seasons but there are no wholly bad seasons. i get it if people dont want to watch seven seasons of 40+ minute episodes because that is a LOT of tv but mcu stans are watching all these new disney+ shows and acting like they Invented television and i feel like im losing my marbles a little bit because aos has been here the entire time with the character relationships/growth that these people always gripe about the avengers not having but barely anyone has seen it!! not to mention the five female characters we got who all got their own arcs and were essential to the plot (two of which were superheroes and two of which were black widow-esque spies and one of which was a scientist — and 3/5 were women of color)

were they mad that the only main cast men in this show were 1. a traditionally masculine white man that fanboys would typically idolize who turned out to be a bad guy who was never redeemed or justified and was killed off in a gruesome way because he sucked in every possible way 2. a socially awkward nerd who is not very masculine 3. an old man who is not very masculine either 4. a black man 5. a man that sacrifices himself for a woman (fuck you endgame) and 6. two other men who were most of the time played for laughs because they were less capable than the women of the team. did that hurt their feelings?? that there were no billionaire playboys for them to idolize :(((( that women were given actual depth :((( boo hoo

anyway aos season 4 robot plotline was better than age of ultron, which admittedly is a low bar, but still. i think i watched aos s4 back in 2016/2017 and it blew my mind and i expected the mcu to hold up against it and it never did

Honestly... If I have to score it I give endgame somewhere in the high 80%-ish range. I gotta hand it to em they reeeeally tried hard to pack everything into 3 hours and that’s hard. I hope once the dvd and blu-ray comes out we have a lot more bonus footage and deleted scenes. I loved the movie that being said I think it wrapped up enough while simultaneously leaving enough to the imagination. This was 12 years in the making that’s pretty amazing.

Imma break it up real quick cuz i hate long reviews this is just to get the thoughts off my mind:

> it was really fast to me even for 3 hours

> not a crazy loki fan but yo where was he?

> ngl usually i can hang with time travel and stuff like that BUT the time travel got suuuuper confusing and i think that was on purpose. throughout the whole movie, i was like “wait! why don’t they do this? why don’t they do this?”

> Natasha could have gotten more credit for her death imo i think they really ran out of time 

PROS (it’s alot)

> SOOOO many time in the movie i was like YAY WE WON! then something bad happens. ngl i thought once Thanos blew up the compound that was it. 

> the end battle was amaaazing so big i can barely comprehend what i was seeing

> I was reeeeaally worried they were gonna focus a lot on captn marvel and that would’ve sucked because this the AVENGERS and i wanted them to focus on the main 6. But the girl came in handy at the end i give it to her.

> Tony Pepper and Morgan = a wonderful little family omfg. The lil girl who played morgan was such a lil sweetie i am sooo glad they didn’t get an annoying kid!

> They did clint wrong, in the beginning, like wow his whole arc was just- wow his lost his family and had to sacrifice his best friend to ge them back. I know it won’t happen because Far from Home is wrapping this up but a  black widow movie with their back story would be much appreciated. 

> Tony’s death although i hated to see it. Was so tastefully done. Perfect! I mean couldn’t have been handled better imo. Everyone showed up at his funeral. NICK FURY WAS THERE AND THAT HARLEY KID!  I cried like a child . Lemme just say Tony carried his weight this whole ass franchise not ONCE was he lacking in my eyes. He did what he was supposed to do and more. People are saying RDJ needs an OSCAR...yes ngl that scene when he can back from space and ripped out his arc reactor outta pure rage and frustration. Yes. The whole reunion with Peter :,) was nice and I am glad they showed how HEAVY getting him killed weighed on Tony’s conscience 

> Avengers Assemble. 

> EVERY ACTOR NAILED THE EMOTIONAL SCENE!

> THEY KEPT THE MAIN 6 THE FOCAL POINT

> OKAY BIG ONE! So everybody seems to be really upset about this whole thor fiasco and idk why? Thor has emotions and feelings and shit and i have to say throughout every single movie in the franchise he has kept his godly composure i think to see him finally admit he is worn down is refreshing. I see they tried to do the same comedy as Ragnorok...it was aight not as good, but that part where Tony asked him why he knew and he started talking in circles has me LMAO 

WAIT BITCH I’M NOT DONE ABOUT THOR!  FR even the weight gain i think they used that as a comedy schtick I thought it was kinda funny but fr depression does that to people irl. The anxiety attack being back in Asgard...he was just going through the motions. He lost so much shit and then what broke my heart is him BEGGING to do the snap like this is all he has and then tony and rhodey being like dude you are EMOTIONALLY not put together enough to do this. He gave is all on the battlefield tho. At the end, he realized he needs to start over and take care of himself and that doesn’t me being in charge giving the kingdom over the Valkyrie was soo humble and showed real character devolvement.  Where is loki tho and also someone write some fic 

> I think cap reeeally got what he deserved fr. Cap deserved to have something for himself he has been a weapon for so long. Out of his element for soo long. Going back to Peggy whether she’s married or not (we love a messy bitch) IS HIS GOD GIVEN RIGHT! He’s been America's ass for too long! Giving it over to Sam was the icing on the cake! Again we are here for it SAM DESERVES IT! Now y’all know i am not a bucky fan in any way shape or form buuuut how can steve just leave his dawg behind like that? IDK IDK! Again Cap was like “lemme do some self-care” and went about his business. It looks like to me Bucky knew as soon as Cap said goodbye - Bucky knew wtf was goin on but ok 

> Starlord imo got what he deserved about gamora. He didn’t lose her...persay she is there they just have to rebuild. But after that stunt he did in IW this is just a little taste of karma in a way. Not tryna say the snap was his fault it was inevitable buuuuut y’all know what scene i am talking about.

I saw Endgame today, here are my assorted thoughts in no particular order c:

He goes back and returns the stones and then tries some of that life Tony told him to get BUT DIDN'T INVOLVE BUCKY IN THAT LIFE?? HE KNEW HIS BEST FRIEND WAS BEING FUCKING TORTURED BY FUCKING HYDRA AND INSTEAD HE WENT BACK AND JUST FUCKING DANCED WITH PEGGY AND LEFT BUCKY TO HIS FATE???

And he "got a life" in the first place but decided to get it with this one girl he spent maybe a year with instead of his literal best friend for life???? Peggy had her own life after Steve died and he decided to just fucking go back and take that from her??? You know had fucking PISSED THAT would make peggy??? She wouldn't accept him back and just go with it and be the happy little housewife are you fucking kidding me??? She’d kick his ass back to the future!!!

What about the other steve in that universe? U telling me he’d be a-okay with some fucking doppelganger stealing Peggy Carter from him??? Uh hell no!! He’d kick ass!! 

How does Steve staying in that timeline with Peggy NOT MESS UP the entire timeline which is what the sorceress warned against?????? If Peggy doesn’t start SHIELD in honor of Steve then how does ANYTHING in their universe get done?? Who finds Steve in the ice???? I mean come on!!!

Side note, Steve had the shield to give to Sam. The intact shield. Which when Steve went into the past was in the ice. HE WENT INTO THE ICE TO GET IT??? DID HE WAKE HIMSELF UP??? WHAT HAPPENED THERE!!! DID HE GET INTO A THREESOME RELATIONSHIP WITH PEGGY AND HIMSELF??? I HAVE TO KNOW!

How dare they try to paint the place that Steve had created for himself in the future and the family he made there LESS THAN Peggy fucking Carter who HAD HER OWN LIFE AFTER STEVE DIED!!! YOU TELLING ME THAT WOMAN COULDN’T HANDLE THE GRIEF OF THAT ONE MAN COME THE FUCK ON! THEY ACT LIKE SHE COULDN’T GET ON WITHOUT HIM AND HE JUST FUCKING HAD TO GO BACK FOR HER. BULL. SHIT

I get that he’s like still recovering and shit but come on, there’s no way either of them would really be ok with the other going off on a mission alone at this point. Plus Bucky has a lot of skills that would lend themselves to the task of returning the stones??? Espionage??? ANYONE??? NO? JUST ME?? Look I'm not the hugest fan of Tony stark but come on! His storyline is so fucking unsatisfying!!! Why did he have to die? He finally had everything and you fucking yank it away from him??? I cannot fucking believe. The Tony stans are going to be out of their mind livid and I am too tbh. The funeral for stark was sweet but that thing is just going to float sadly in the lake for days until someone fishes it out come on.

Okay I get there was tension between stark and bucky but really u made buck stand back with the c list people instead of next to his best friend for the funeral??? He can comfort steve my fucking God did we not spend at LEAST TWO SEPARATE MOVIES PROVING STEVE AND BUCKY WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR EACH OTHER OR IS THAT JUST ME???? Out of all the places they could've sent thor they had to send him back to fucking asgard, the home he lost, to be surrounded by people he lost, ON THE DAY HIS MOTHER DIED?????
