Current mutuals please ignore, I'm just here to rant about the season finale of taxi driver season 2 and it isn't going to be coherent. Because WHY. Did the villain's arc have to be so tragic??? I am an absolute wreck, my heart is in pieces, verh much NOT okay about that doomed angel omg. The horror of his final revelation??? The twist??? 'Maybe if I'd met you guys before, it would have been different'?? The pathos of father and son going the same way?? The way do ki was just #notokay afterwards despite having won the battle, the whole victory tinged bittersweet by that last face off (which very much resembled the last agni kai between azula and zuko, hello). Top tier content yall. I am so utterly impressed. Ugly sobbing my way towards a brand new wip, God bless

Laughter erupts from your table as soon as Stu lets another one of his jokes out, a genuine smile creeping up on Billy's lips. College sure was different than high school.
"Oh, shit!" A girl named Emma gives out that word in a worried tone, her eyes opening wide as she realizes something. "Didn't we have a paper to give in today?"
"Um, yeah." Brian rolls his eyes at her, taking a bite out of his lunch as he speaks. "Worth like... twenty percent of our grade."
"Fuck." Emma's face falters into a look of pure panic, her hand grabbing her head. "Fuck!"
"Ha-ah!" Stu points at her with a wide grin on his face, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Sucks to be you!"
Billy quirks an eyebrow at him, an unreadable look on his face. "What are you laughing at, dipshit? You haven't written a single paper since the beginning of the semester."
"I'm different." The blond sticks his tongue out. "I choose to suck."
"Hm-hm." You hum from your place, your lips letting go of your straw so you can speak up. "Must be why you call me in a panic every week to help you put bullshit on a piece of paper last minute."
"I-!" Stu opens his mouth wide with shock just as your friends snort, his eyes soon squinting at you. "Traitor!"
You give out a wider grin. "You're welcome."
Billy chuckles at the exchange, his head slumping on one of his hands in a lazy way as he turns his eyes to you. Aside from Stu, you were probably the one he liked the most in the group. Less annoying than the others, you were funny, smart, and had a similar sense of humour to his and Stu's.
"Oh, did you guys hear?" Brian gives out a grin, his mouth half-full of food. "Ghostface struck again last night."
Billy quirks an eyebrow at that, slight confusion rising inside his chest as he gives Stu a look. "He did?"
Stu frowns, slightly shaking his head at the black-haired boy, which only increases Loomis' confusion.
"Oh yeah! I heard about that on the radio this morning." Emma raises a finger, a frown appearing on her face as she tries to remember the exact words. "He killed a bunch of girls at one of the college's dormitories two towns away."
Brian chuckles, taking yet another spoonful of his food. "Heard it was a real carnage."
"About time." You take another sip of your drink, an unreadable look on your face as you give Billy and Stu a look. "Feels like months since they last killed."
Emma snorts, one of her fists gently punching your arm. "You're such a creep, (Y/N)! I bet you're the only one who's a fan of this guy."
Your lips stretch to form a strange grin. "What can I say? I admire the work."
Billy quirks an eyebrow at your choice of words, but it's Stu that speaks up first. "Did you say 'they'?"
You just shrug at the question, staying silent as you intently into the blond's orbs.
"I'm lowkey scared, though." Brian speaks up from his place, a slight frown taking over his face. "It's his first time killing at a college. What if ours is next?"
"What?" Emma snorts once more. "Scared he'll hang you using your own guts?"
Brian answers that question by throwing a spoonful of his food at the girl, making her give out a loud laugh as she avoids it. Billy's eyes squint at the exchange, slight annoyance overcoming him as he realizes someone's out there copying their work.
"What makes you think it's the real Ghostface?"
"Police said it was the same costume, same MO." Brian shrugs, not at all bothered by Loomis' question. "If it's not him, then whoever it was did a pretty good job playing him."
Stu crosses his arms over the table, curiosity all over his face as his lips stretch onto his cheeks. "What town was it?"
"Burbank or something," Emma responds without even thinking; though, her eyes seem to widen with recognizance as she turns her head to you. "Wait. Weren't you in that town last night?"
"... I was." You let go of your straw to speak, your words coming out at a slow pace. "Huge party downtown, remember?"
"Yeah, and you didn't invite me." She gives out a pout, gently shaking your shoulder as revenge. "Meanie!"
You just chuckle at her words, a strange look in your eyes. "Sorry, I only had one VIP ticket."
Stu gives out a chuckle. "You're lucky you weren't gutted."
"Yeah." Billy manages to give out a smile, his mind still filled with annoyance and confusion as he speaks. "Would have been a bummer to lose you."
You give back a grin. "Really?"
"It really would have." Brian points at you with his poon. "Heard there was only one survivor."
You seem to freeze for a moment, your eyes slowly looking back at your friend. "Was there?"
"Yeah... she's barely alive in the hospital right now." Brian shakes his head, words pouring out of his mouth faster than he can think. "Said she managed to cut the killer's hand, though."
Your fingers tighten their grip on your drink, your smile hardening. "Really?"
Brian hums as a response, he and Emma completely unaware of the changes in your behaviour. Billy's eyes notice you pulling your other hand towards yourself, hiding it under the table out of view; though, he does manage to notice what seems to be a scare on the back of your palm right as you do so, the Loomis boy quirking an eyebrow at you.
"Hurt yourself, (Y/N)?"
You look into his eyes as soon as you hear his question, an unreadable glint in your pupils.
"Got in a fight with some bitch at the party." Your lips form a dark grin as you speak. "I won, though."
"Nice!" Stu holds his head up with both of his hands, his eyes now fully staring at you with a newfound interest. "How did it feel?"
You tilt your head at him, taking another sip of your drink. "Exhilarating."
Stu's lips stretch out onto his cheeks at your answer, his eyes rapidly turning towards Billy with a silent question in them. The black-haired boy doesn't even acknowledge it, though, instead of continuing to stare at you as he lays out a question for your other friends.
"The costume's still selling. And the MO's easy to copy." Billy takes a look at Brian, an unreadable look on his face. "How do they know it's not a copycat?"
"Dude." Brian snorts, shaking his head. "Why would anyone copy Ghostface? The killer's not even caught yet."
"Maybe someone really admires their work." You stare intently at Billy, a knowing grin on your lips. "Wanted to show some appreciation or something."
Billy squints his eyes at you. "What if Ghostface doesn't like to be copied?"
"Copycat's bad, then." Your grin widens for a second. "Won't do it again without permission."
"If I were Ghostface..." Stu stretches his arms out, a wide grin on his face. "I'd give that copycat permission to kill anyone."
"Well, how kind of you, Stu."
The Loomis' stares at you for a moment, his lips stretching out into a smirk a few seconds later as a low chuckle comes out of his throat. "I guess Ghostface and the copycat could work together as well."
"You guys are so fucking weird." Emma snorts, her eyes looking at you two with an unsure look in her eyes. "You're almost sounding like you're the killers yourself."
Stu gives out a loud laugh at those words, a bright light appearing in his eyes as he sticks out his tongue.
"Wouldn't it be more fun if we were, though?"
You chuckle at his words, taking yet another sip out of your drink under Billy and Stu's eyes.
These next few weeks are sure to be interesting.
