#the gentle gunman#the gentle gunman (1952)#2024filmgifs#my gifs#sometimes i actually forget how attractive Dirk Bogarde is#and then i get shocked all over again#especially when his hair is all rumpled like that#even when he's overacting a skosh#i love that he did the quirky brow in BOTH his films with John Mills#so tempted to rewatch Singer Not The Song#even though it's terrible#but also terribly ghey#this was really quite dull#but a pretty tense ending#which surprised me with its last second save#the two bickering fogies were defs my fave part#and the mother with the lovely face#Dirk and John's accents were all over the place tho#shame on youse boys#such legends of English cinema should know better
