havet seen rocketman since june in theaters but the like “mom im gay” “lol i know” “you dont mind?” “i dont care” phone call exchange is still smth i think about a LOT and the other day when i saw it was on our tv digibox video library fr free i was like yes. put that on the list. i am watching this. yes.

#my mom is gonna mb watch it with me i am vibrating at the speed of light #the fucking highs and lows. the colours and COSTUMES and musical numbers but also true to life depiction of addiction and ED #the iconic ethereal pool scene where he tries to kill himself #gets called a selfish prick fr it - proocessed through hospital and wheeled straight back onto stage #the instant smiles and elaborate costuming.. they dont pay to see reginald dwight they pay to see ELTON. JOHN.#him trying to b good enpugh to feel deserving of love but being so so disappointed by his mother in this #the triumphant yellow brick road switch and decision to get comitted... im still standing.... im /gonna love me again/....#the disrobing throughout the movie when u see him little by little take distance frm the facade and colour and sparkle as he opens up #still cant quite tell the story the way it really was w the need to pretty it up a little but oh my god #finally sticking up for himself against those past demons whove wronged and abused him? being the friend his younger self desperately needed #the end credits showing he DID find true love and happiness and got so much better even after all the hardship we just sat through with him #im getting emotional again just thinking about it i havent seen it in months and months but still think abt this movie a lot #and the thought of now soon getting to see it again im like ho wait until yr mom has time to watch it w u dont put it on yet ho WAIT #I WANNA FUCKING SEE IT #borhap is available to me as well im like hhhMMDFMNNRGN
