Got to play dnd last night with some folks I met at the weekly gaming store one shots and it was SO much fun, but. There is something incredibly funny about joining a high level game mid-way through a story. This really dramatic and tense moment that had clearly been building for weeks or months (and was clearly super fun and impactful for the players) and meanwhile. This dumb fucking thembo who has already pointed a gun at them. Is just kind of standing in the background looking incredibly awkward

#and then immidiately tried to hit on both halves of a very messy angsty couple #then the dm asked for their backstory after the session so they can work it i to future games and #was absolutly reeling from the trauma cliff-notes i sent bc id done the whole session in their manic comic relief mode #and idk i just really love a character who uses self deprecating comedy and exagerated playful hornyness as a blatant defence mechanism #and i cannot WAIT for this party to start scratching away at that surface #also for context i joined at level 12 lmao #7 gunslinger fighter 5 inquisitive rogue #new combo for me but it absolutely killed it and i think i finally found something that feels right #the trick shot crit and insightful fighting really helped with that lmao
