EIGHT PEOPLE I’D LIKE TO GET TO KNOW BETTER!
𝟎𝟏. ( ALIAS / NAME ) ——   Jam
𝟎𝟐.  ( BIRTHDAY ) ——  December 29
𝟎𝟑.  ( ZODIAC SIGN ) ——    Capricorn
𝟎𝟒.  ( HEIGHT ) ——    5′9″
𝟎𝟓.  ( HOBBIES ) ——   unsurprisingly, writing! I’ve had short prose and comics published but am working towards achieving some of my longer novel/comic goals. I’m also a seasoned 5e Dungeon Master, a tabletop gamer, video gamer, etc. etc. I also love Escape Rooms, I read a lot of comics, and I collect pop culture statues! tl;dr BIG NERD!
𝟎𝟔.  ( FAVORITE COLOR ) ——    purple
𝟎𝟕.  ( FAVORITE BOOKS ) ——    oh man, this is like favorite children. At present, it’s these: “This is How You Lose the Time War” by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. It’s queer sci-fi spy vs. spy written in the form of letters; “A Clockwork Orange” by Anthony Burgess. The language in this book is just so fascinating to decode, and it’s an essential dystopian novel; “Annihilation” by Jeff VanderMeer. Some heady, skin-crawling sci-fi with such a fascinating unreliable narrator; and finally “Under the Skin” by Michel Faber. A darkly funny sci-fi satire about language, factory farming, and corporate greed. (Annihilation movie is good but notably different from the book, and pls ignore the Under the Skin movie, book is leagues more interesting and not even the same story.)
𝟎𝟖.  ( LAST SONG LISTENED TO ) —— The Lamb by Dessa. Been listening to a lot of Dessa for my Faith playlist tbh.
You've got a way with words You got away with murder But now our roles reverse And your table's turning now
𝟎𝟗.  ( LAST FILM OR SHOW WATCHED ) ——  Technically this was Buffy last night. Watched The Yoko Factor last, aiming to finish S4 this weekend. Apart from that, the last movie I watched was actually also the Buffy The Vampire Slayer OG movie. Which was... a trip, to say the least.
𝟏𝟎.  ( INSPIRATION FOR MUSE ) ——   I’m enjoying seeing BtVS for the first time ever and had no idea who Faith was until I first met her in Season 3, obviously. No disrespect to Ms. Buffy Anne Summers, but I find Faith the most compelling Slayer in the series (pour one out for Kendra tho, we were robbed). I also wrote Jessica Jones for 5 years here on da tumbz so I felt compelled to process my feelings for the second-string rogue Slayer here much in the same way I did JJ. My knowledge of Faith is incomplete and dynamic, and I think that’s fun too as I explore this fandom for the first time ever.
𝟏𝟏.  ( STORY BEHIND URL ) ——   I really wanted “wickedspartan” as a reference to a conversation that Faith had with Gwen Post but it was already taken. So I decided that Faith is simply “wickedlehane”- both in the sense that “wicked” means “extremely” and also “evil”. Extremely herself, but also believing herself extremely evil.

I’m a bit late because I had the wonderful idea of applying while I was at school but hello lovies It’s Belle back at it again with a new muse Doctor Stephen Strange. Now I’m actually terrible at canon intros so apologies in advance but there’s some bits and pieces under the cut.
STEPHEN STRANGE  is a PROFESSOR of NEUROSCIENCE & THE STUDY OF OTHER DIMENSIONS at Age of Heroes Academy who looks a lot like LUKE EVANS. HE/HIM identifies as MALE and rumor has it they’re MARRIED to CLEA. They’re described as DRIVEN & ARROGANT and still are a hero under the alias of DOCTOR STRANGE.
Ok I’m presuming you’ve all seen the film with beetroot cucumberpatch but just a quick explanation of who Stephen is if you haven’t
His brother and sister both died during his childhood and teenage years pushing him into medicine, he then became a phenomenal neurosurgeon at a really young age but this caused him to become really reckless arrogant and proud.
He was then involved in a really nasty car accident that ultimately ruined his hands effectively stripping him of both his career and his identity.
Quick headcanon about that: years later he does have some movement back in his hands but he still struggles with doing more than picking anything up. Buttons are a definite no while writing and zips are simply really difficult. They also ache a lot, especially when it’s cold outside and he shakes quite a bit.
He then went and spent all his money in the east trying to find a cure. Instead he found the ancient one studied under the ancient one and eventually became the sorcerer supreme we all know and love today.
Later on he met the love of his life Clea but you really are best of googling that train wreck
Now having Stephen at the academy is a strange thought because he’s also still keeping up with all his work as a guardian of earth at the same time.
When he first got involved it was more to make sure that the avengers didn’t mess everything up but he’s found that he rather enjoys lecturing though the marking not so much.
Whoever his ta is has their work cut out for them I’m just saying.
As far as teachers go however he’s a good one, especially since his passion for his subject means he doesn’t refuse answering a hundred questions at a time.
He listens to his students (mostly) and is definitely the type to bring in chocolates and things to throw at them when they get the right answer even though that’s a fact no one ever actually addresses.
Whatever you do don’t ask him about any of his or his kids achievements because he will happily gloat for hours at a time.
You want to see photos? I’ve got photos
Though He’s a bit awkward around kids who aren’t his own and definitely prefers the young adults to the sixteen year olds running around
This leads me on nicely to talk about Stephen as a Dad. He’s definitely the type to think his kids are a gift to the planet
He also spoils them rotten, because he really can’t say no to them.
#1 cheerleader for all his kids endeavours l, tho he had a terrible habit of managing to connect it back to himself.
When he’s not being too self important he is a good dad tho, and their good for him because he gets a little caught up in work sometimes.
What do you mean I can’t use magic to help look after the kids Clea???
He was also the worst when they were sick when they were little because he just went into full on doctor mode.
Stephen is 100% not here for teenage drama, but at the same time definitely has favourite student
He’s also one of the harsher markers in the school because he expects perfection
Stephen can be objective when he needs to be and isn’t afraid of making harsh decisions when he needs to meaning that he can be terribly self sacrificing.
TL;dr he’s a really arrogant nerd who loves magic and science!

Elder Scrolls Names: Redguard Last Names
This is part of my Elder Scrolls Lore: Names series, which is almost complete. Essentially, I take all the names I can find of the race in question, and list the common denominators within these names that could be useful in creating an entirely new, lore-friendly name. To cover Reguards, I’ll first go over their last names. Later, I’ll post an analysis of Redguard first names.
The majority of Redguards do not carry last names. However, a last name is not entirely unusual; there are a lot more Redguard last names than, for example, that of the Altmer. Here’s a list of all the Redguard last names I know of/can find that are most likely Redguard and not an inherited name through marriage or mixed birth:
Hawker*, Mirel, Ruuz, Stacey (Morrowind)
Rackham (Oblivion)
Al-Skaven, Sendu (Skyrim)
af-Ashora, af-Dometri, af-Ozalan, al-Bergama, at-Gamati, al-Satakalaam, at-Areshu, at-Rusa, at-Aswala (ESO)
at-Hamisham, Ababneh, Hunding*, Leki, at-Tanul, at-Turna, at-Traeh, al-Gilane, al-Ash'abah, al-Rihad, af-Lahreq (Lore)
*Jon Hawker was actually the deity Zenithar - thus, the name is an alias and may not represent Redguard tradition. It’s a great legacy to be named after, though.
*Hunding is the person’s location of birth.
Redguard family names are pretty complicated and full of unanswered questions. It seems that last names are connected to distinctive families, and/or locations. Below is an analysis of these names, preceded by a quick summary.
Last Names TL;DR: Redguard last names have very little background information, so it’s hard to be exactly lore-friendly. The easiest way to be lore-friendly is to use a previously-used last name (as shown above). I’ve found two trends that are well-supported: The prefix “al-” designates a place, while the prefix “at-” designates a family lineage. For instance, if your character was born in Elinhir, his/her last name could be al-Elinhir. If your character is from a family known for a hero named Cirroc, his/her last name could be at-Cirroc. Keep in mind, though, that these prefixes’ meanings have not been announced. There’s also the prefix “af-," but I haven’t found any trend to decipher its meaning. Lastly, you can give your Redguard a title, but only if the Redguard is already a well-known Hammerfell hero or given a title by another race.
Last Names Analysis
By going through the history of Redguard names, it’s pretty clear that there was a change between Morrowind and Oblivion. This can be explained through means of lore and through means of development. Through means of lore, one can say that the Redguards encountered in Vvardenfell were native to Morrowind and not Hammerfell, and therefore did not have native Redguard names. As for development, it’s probable that a thorough naming scheme for Redguards was made after Morrowind.
At least one family name has been confirmed to be passed down, in the physical book Kyne’s Challenge: A Hunter’s Companion. A main character, Namasur at-Hamisam is the great-nephew of an Ayh-al-Fifrah at-Hamisam. This is evidence that “At-” is used for family relation. It’s clear that Hamisam cannot be Namasur’s father, because at-Hamisam is also his great-uncle’s last name. It could be that their lineage is known for an ancestor named Hamisam. A second example is that of Merric at-Aswala. There’s a location in the Alik’r Desert named Aswala’s Remembrance. There, you’ll find a dog mourning a gravestone that lies next to another gravestone. There’s no journal or note nearby to explain (much to my annoyance), so it could be a number of things. It must be recent, so it could be Merric’s remembrance of his parents, or the dog’s name is Aswala. The most likely would be the first. I believe this grave-site is that of Aswala, father of Merric who took on the name to honor him. Still, it’s a stretch. It can’t be confirmed that “at-” designates family lineage with just this evidence, but I’m sure there’s more evidence to come.
The usage of prefixes like “at-” is common, but there are also the prefixes “al-” and “af-.”These prefixes aren’t used like Orcs use theirs - In Redguard names, the prefixes are used for any gender. For instance, Doletta at-Gamati is female, while Namasur at-Hamisam is male.
“Al-” is more clearly defined. It seems to signify where the person comes from. Some examples: al-Bergama (F), al-Satakalaam (F), Al-Skaven (F), al-Rihad (M), al-Gilane, al-Ash’abah (F). Bergama, Satakalaam, Skaven, Rihad, and Gilane are confirmed cities. Ash’abah is a Redguard tribe in the Alik’r Desert - thus, not a location, but a significant group of people. There is definitely a trend of using “al-” for denoting a location. However, it’s important to note Frandar do Hunding Hel Ansei No Shira of lore, whose only given birth name is Frandar. “Hunding” designates his place of birth. The same goes for Divad Hunding, his brother. Perhaps there is a different meaning to “do” than to “al-. “Do” could mean “born in,” while “al-” could mean “from.” “Do” could also just be a more honorable term. One thing is for sure: place-of-birth last names are lore-friendly for Redguards. The unanswered question is in what situations can you have a place-of-birth name. It can’t designate an orphan, as apparent with Yasra al-Ash'abah, who has a father. Besides that, there could be any reason.
Only well-known Redguards of Hammerfell, commonly heroes, carry Redguard-given titles. Zakhin’s Many Heroes by the Unveiled Azadiyeh (another Redguard with a title) names a few. Other Redguards with titles acquired them through other races, particularly the Great Harbinger Cirroc the Lofty and the Cyrodiil villain Azani Blackheart.
That’s my analysis of Redguard last names. I’ve made sure to link any obscure last names that’d be hard to look up. It took me hours to find a lot of them, so I hope I’ve made it easier for the next lore-nerd.
Thanks for reading! Keep an eye out for the next installment, Elder Scrolls Names: Redguard First Names.

❝ LEE HONGBIN  is a TWENTY THREE year old FORENSIC BIOLOGIST affiliated with the PPD who has NO OTHER ALIAS ❞
⇀ birth name: Lee Hongbin ⇀ fc choice: Lee Hongbin, VIXX ⇀ age: 23 ⇀ group: PPD ⇀ occupation: Forensic biologist ⇀ sexual orientation: Bisexual ⇀ languages: korean and english ⇀ height / weight: 5’11” / 135 lbs ⇀ defining features: Strong jaw, nice lips, dimples.
⇀ personality:
Hongbin is a total forensics nerd. He’s generally a quiet, sweet guy, and the only time he really prattles on is when it comes to forensics; especially blood splatter analysis (although he can also go on and on about pretty much any other type of forensic science, so just don’t get him started). He gets very focused when he is working or researching, and he can often be found sitting in a corner of a cafe or the library, frowning as he pours over case files and forensic texts.
He can be a little modest and shy, and he can also get pretty awkward in uncomfortable situations. However, other than that, he is a ray of sunshine; all bright, dimpled smiles and soft, polite words. Always willing to lend a hand and rather passive, he sometimes takes on more than he can handle and works too much so as not to let anyone down.
⇀ personality tl;dr:
Positive:
helpful
intelligent
sunny disposition
hard worker
Negative:
awkward/shy
passive, a but of a push-over
overly trusting
sometimes overworks himself
⇀ history:
When Hongbin was twelve years old, his father, who was a detective with the PPD, was murdered on duty. No one told him much about his father’s death, other than that it was likely gang related. There was no information about his father’s murderer— who they were, why they’d killed him. It was all just a big question mark.
From then on, he was raised solely by his mother, a paediatric nurse at Pyeonghwa University Hospital. A year after his father’s death, she moved them to Daegu, where she lives to this day. She said that the move was due to Daegu’s hospital desperately needing a paediatric nurse, but he suspected it was because she found Pyeonghwa too dangerous. After all, her husband had died there.
Hongbin did not complain. He studied hard and spent his off time playing video games and going out with his friends. He excelled in science and mathematics during his high school years, rising to the top of his school.
He graduated at 18 and got into Pyeonghwa National University, moving back to his hometown to start his adult life on his own. He wanted to work at the police department where his dad had worked, he decided. His father had been so passionate about cleaning up the streets of Pyeonghwa, and he wanted to help make that happen.
After graduating at the top of his class from Pyeonghwa National University with a degree in forensic science last year, he promptly joined the PPD. He is a rookie, but his forensic skills are nothing to sniff at.
