Summary: Hanako Yamada is tired of living in her brother’s shadow, so when an old friend comes back into her life, she can’t help but take a chance and make a new name for herself alongside the League of Villains.

A/N: Hey Guys! Writing for this has been awesome. I don’t have an entirely specific plot for this piece but as I go along pieces go together. I have an idea on how I want this to end but I’m struggling getting there. I also realize these first few chapters are more centered around my OC and her development than her relationship with Dabi. But please don’t fret! Big things are coming!! Also I wanted to put my own twist on this and have some Villain!Bakugou so this is a chapter leading up to that. But here’s some more Hana development and soft Bakugou. Enjoy! Please give me some feedback!

It was complete and utter chaos when the leauge finally made their messy getaway. With Bakugo in tow they had accomplished their goal but now came the hard part. Getting him to join.

They locked him in the cellar downstairs and were going to deal with him tomorrow. Hana couldn’t seem to shake the feeling that if they waited he wouldn’t join. Right now he was alone and vulnerable and she was going to take advantage of that.

After the team had gone to sleep, Hana snuck downstairs to talk to the hotheaded teenager. She still wore her uniform and the clicking of her boots against the cement floor caught Bakugo‘s attention.

Hana didn’t know this boy well at all, but she had seen him during the sports festival so she knew what he could do.

“What the fuck do you want.”

“Look I just want to talk. I’m not gonna hurt you or anything. I come in peace kiddo.” Hana had brought a chair down with her and sat straddling the seat while leaning on the back of the chair with her arms crossed.

“So... what’s your story?” Hana’s tone was kind and curious. She wanted to get to know Bakugo before trying to get him to join.

“I don’t have to tell you shit. Let me go you sick bitch.” Bakugo was angry but he was too tired to put much effort into his insults. His hands were handcuffed behind him so he couldn’t really fight.

“Okay I get it. The Leauge kidnapped you. But there’s no need to call me a bitch. I didn’t kidnap you, they did.” Hana pretended to look hurt.

“Whatever.”

“Listen. I just wanna get to know you. I wanna know your story. How about we make a deal. I’ll tell you who I am and what my story is first, and then you tell me yours. Deal?”

Katsuki thought it over for a moment. He could tell Hana wasn’t a threat but he could also tell she was stubborn. She wasn’t gonna budge and she was gonna keep asking no matter how many times he cursed at her or spit in her face. After a long day of training and over exerting his powers, for the first time in a while, Bakugo wasn’t in the mood to argue.

“Whatever. Deal.” He rolled his eyes as the raven haired girl infront of him smiled enthusiastically.

“Awesome! Let’s get started, oh um, where should I start? Um, hi, my name is Hanako Yamada. My friends call me Hana, um-“

“Wait, you’re- you’re the missing girl. You’re Present Mic’s little sister aren’t you?” Bakugo couldn’t help but interrupt.

“Yeah. Sadly that’s me. Um anyway-” Hana nervously fiddled with her fingers, spinning the promise ring that Touya gave her senior year around in circles.

“Why sadly? Your brother is a hero? Aren’t you proud?” Bakugo was confused at why Hana didn’t enjoy having a pro hero older brother.

“I was proud when he was still my brother. Before he went pro. Before he went pro he was actually there for me. Hizashi is almost 8 years older than me but he always took care of me. When he graduated and went pro, he -he wasn’t my brother anymore. He was Present Mic, the magnificent Pro-Hero. He would call every once in a while but he was never there for me.”

Bakugo understood completely. He knew what it was like to have someone who didn’t act like the person they needed them to be. His mother never really acted like a mother. She wasn’t caring or nurturing like everyone else’s mom. She yelled a lot and was never really there for him when he needed his mom.

“Um.. Anyway.. I didnt go to UA for school but growing up everyone knew me as Hizashi’s little sister. He was loud and outgoing and I was the opposite. I kept to myself and didn’t have very many friends which was fine with me. I would have gone to college but I lost someone really close to me when I turned 20. My best friend disappeared. Me and Touya had big plans for life but after he disappeared I didn’t know what to do with myself. I moved out and got a job at the coffee bar down the street and that was my new life. I lived alone and sad. Hizashi would text me occasionally but he wasn’t there for me like I needed him to be.” Hana ran her fingers through her long black locks and played with the dead ends.

“I know the feeling.. I don’t have any siblings but I can relate because of my mom.. My mom doesn’t really act like my mom. She’s got a firecracker personality and it’s where I get mine from but she’s cold, and harsh, and she blows up at me more than she says she loves me. She doesn’t care for me like other kids moms. That’s one reason why I hate Deku... his home life is so much better than mine and he takes it for granted. You have no idea how much I would give to be able to hear my mom say she was proud of me for once...” Bakugo’s voice wavered as he talked and Hana knew this must be a hard topic for him.

“Hey kiddo it’s gonna be okay. I’m sorry your mom isn’t much of a mom..” Hana didn’t really know what to say to the blonde but she she couldn’t help but feel resentful towards his mother. Hana couldn’t understand why someone wouldn’t care for their child like a proper human being. Hana didn’t care for kids that much but she knew they needed love and positive encouragement.

“I’m sorry your brother isn’t much of a brother.” Bakugo couldn’t help but mimic the woman infront of him. He wished that his mother had conversations like this with him. Bakugo didn’t have an outlet to let talk to anyone or let out his emotions and this time with Hana was something he was really enjoying. But he would never admit that to her. Without realizing it, Bakugo had let his walls down and it felt good.

That night Hana and Bakugo spilled secrets, told jokes, shared stories and they both let their walls down and just.. talked. Which was something new for the both of them. They both had more fun than they would like to admit and enjoyed each others company. Hana had started to care for the boy and if he needed a mother figure, she was gonna do her best to be that for him.

— The Next Morning —

Bakugo woke to the loud slam of the wooden door against the concrete wall.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LET HIM GO-Oh he’s right here. Oh you meant. Oh.” Dabi rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. He didn’t realize when you told him that you let him go, you meant you untied his restraints.

“Sorry to wake you hun. I’m about to make breakfast. I’ll bring you some in a bit.” Hana rubbed her fingers through Bakugo’s messy blonde hair. He nodded to Hana and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

“What just happened? Why are you making him breakfast and not me??” Dabi was baffled by the interaction he just watched. He couldn’t believe that his girlfriend was making a prisoner breakfast instead of her boyfriend.

“I stayed up last night and talked to the boy. Got to know him and we talked about stuff. He’s got some issues with a parental figure that’s lacking and I figured that if I give him what he needs he can help us get what we want. Plus he’s a really good kid Dabi, he trusts me.” Hana worked her way around the kitchen as she spoke. Making bacon and eggs for the firecracker in the basement.

“Update Shigaraki on the situation so he doesn’t go prodding in places he isn’t needed. I’m so close to getting a forward answer from him on joining.” Hana couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Bakago joining their little ring of misfits. So far he hadnt tried to escape and he seemed to trust her and if he didn’t then he was a hell of a good actor.

Hana entered the basement with the hot breakfast and a glass of orange juice. Bakugo’s mouth pratically watered at the sight. “Here you go hun, if you need anything else let me know.” Bakugo hummed in response as he dug into food and started shoveling. 

“Katsuki i need to talk to you. I know you are probably hesitant about all of this but i wanted to know if you’ll join us..” Hana couldn’t help but fiddle with her fingers in anticipation for the boys answer. she was very anxious about asking him but thats what Shigaraki wanted.

Bakugo was silent. He knew this was coming but he didn’t realize it would be so soon.

“You won’t have to stay with us if you don’t want to. You can stay at UA and be our informant. You won’t be technically a part of the league of villains but you will assist us. I can train you. You’re already amazing and at the top of your class but you could be so much more Katsuki..” Hana started rambling to fill the awkward silence..

“Shut up fuckstick. Stop rambling. I- I’ll-“

Before he could answer the bulding shook as a huge explosion went off. The building shook so hard that it knocked Hana off her feet. She fell forward into the teen and he caught her effortlessly.

Hana mumbled several curses under her breath as she pulled herself together. She knew exactly who was here and she was pissed. Dabi lit ablaze in self defense and Hana was so ready to scream.

“Watch the kid. I have someone to deal with.” Hana rushes out of the room before either of the boys could protest.

Hana silently prayed that her least favorite person wasn’t here but then she heard it.

“LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE. GIVE ME BACK MY SISTER! YA DIG?!”

Present Mic’s booming voice could be heard from miles away.

“Fuck.”

What is your favorite animal? I honestly like all animals!! Some of my faves though are frogs, wolves, foxes, pandas and black panthers. <3 ^_-

Who was your last missed call from? I think the last missed call was from my mother, she called me back after though and I answered. I think I was at work when that happened. I very rarely ever get calls... most of my phone calls are from my mother. ^_^''

What is/was your favorite subject in school? Definitely would have to say music and science were my most fave.

Do you know what time you were born? I was born around 10 pm... I am an evening baby.

Do you read horoscopes? I do read them at times but, not always and nor do I believe in absolutely everything if anything that's in them. I read them for entertainment purposes only ... mostly.

What is your favorite room in your house? Definitely would have to say my room of course. x'D

How many pets do you have? I haven't had any pets in a while. I told my mother not too long ago about getting another leopard gecko but, eh... not right now still. I think the boys would love it though. Romeo loved when I showed him Cruise!! Miss my Cruise. <3  

Are you happy with the way things are in your life? Of course, things could always be much worse and I am pleased with my life at the moment. <3 ^_^

Are you registered to vote? I was forced to register when I was in 12th grade for a test grade. I think that shouldn't have been. I really don't care much at all for politics. -_-

Do you like McDonalds? It depends... I wish I had more energy, time and motivation to actually get up and cook more meals rather then eating fast food tbh. I know how to cook and bake really good... but, because of everything I have to do often... most of the time I am grabbing a bite to eat whenever I am out with family at fast food places. x.x'' This is not all the time though because I will go and sometimes even grab a salad at Walmart and eat that too while out with a lemonade or soda.

What's your favorite flower? I am a bit of a strange one... my fave flowers are any kind of lily really, baby's breath and fox tail lily.

What is a nickname that people call you? I have so many nicknames... Haha... x'D Of course the most common is Debby but, I have Deb, Debz, My Lady, Booby... etc.

Would you rather have money or fame? If I really have to pick between the two.. I guess money. -_- Although, I don't really care too much about either.

What is your dream job? So, I make stuff... really awesome things and nice things... gifts. If I could do anything I would like to more or less sell hand made gifts. ^_^'' It would be pretty awesome and cool.

Who is your favorite music artist? I have so many to be completely honest. I also listen to a huge mix of music... without music I would be fxcking lost. I need music. <3

Do you watch a lot of TV? I actually don't. Unless, watching a shxt ton of anime counts... well then... maybe I do. Though, I watch those shows on Netflix and Hulu.

What is your favorite show? I really, really, really want a season two+ more to Devils Line and Toilet Bound Hanako. At the moment my fave is Snow White with the Red Hair and then I would like more to Yarichin B* Club as well (Ayato Yuri is the freaking man.. I'm telling ya.). [[-= Not anime related but, fave shows... Stranger Things and American Horror Story. <3

Have you ever visited another country? Yep. I have been to Europe. Was absolutely beautiful there.

Have you thought about joining the military? When I was younger and didn't have children... from time to time I thought about joining if I were to be honest. Of course, that's changed now.

Have you ever had a pet fish? Yeah [[-= I used to have a Betta and he was so freaking beautiful. He lived for a pretty long time too.

Do you believe in ghosts? Most certainly.

What movie could you watch over and over again? Errrm... I used to legit watch Peter Pan over and over when I was younger. The movie with Jeremy Sumpter in it. Definitely was a fave of mine.

Do you prefer tea or coffee? Either to be honest. Though, I am thinking about trying to give up on coffee again for a moment... I am determined to start drinking this Butterfly Pea Flower tea... but, haven't just quite yet. I know that when I was in college and I lived completely on my own... I did manage to give up on coffee and just was drinking tea. When I moved back with my mother, I ended up drinking tons of coffee again. x'D LMFAO.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? I don't think I could do this because I really like trying all kinds of foods. x.x Though, I do have my fave foods like roasted seaweed, kelp, rice, etc.

Have you ever wanted to be on a game show? Nope. I am too shy for anything like that honestly.

Could you live without a cell phone? Sadly, I don't think so. I have a cell and I usually don't have anyone calling me on it or texting me on it at all... but, my family and mostly coworkers but, without a cell... if someone needs to contact me for something important, they wouldn't be able to. I know that when I am out at work and my mother needs me for something, she knows better to actually call the work phone because I don't always have my cell on me either. I have a bad habit of leaving my cell in the office and not even worrying too much about it depending. I have gotten better with not leaving my cell in the office because my coworkers do text me and message me for important things... my DM has texted me too on important things and there have been times that my phone was in the office and she had to call the SM for the SM to call the store phone and get ahold of me and I get so embaressed about that... so, more so now... I will keep my cell on me but, I also try not to forget on Saturday that I have to do extra computer work. x.x Haha.

Have you ever vaped? When my little brothers' were vaping a long while back (when I was in college), I know they wanted me to try it to taste the juice I guess in the vape pen or whatever and I have tried it. I personally have not really vaped though, other then just trying it when they asked me to. It's something I don't think I would pick up though.

Do you remember your dreams? Yeah I do.

Who was the last person to give you a hug? Castiel stays close by my side through out the day. I usually even have him sitting on my lap when I am on the computer or whatever... even when I am making stuff... but, he loves giving his mama hugs!! ^_^ Haha, last night I was holding him and reading manga on my cell and he fell asleep while I was holding him like that. <3 Though, I tried to put him in the bed thinking he was sleeping for the night and the minute I put that boy down, he decided he was waking up and trying to tell me I had to go to bed too... x'D lmfao my little man. He wanted a drink, blippi on and his mama to go to bed too. Too freaking cute!  

Have you ever been on TV? I think at least two or three times I have been on TV but, that's it and it wasn't anything too big. It was the news because I was a cheerleader in highschool and the first football game we had, we were on the news and then when we won first place in MidHudson comp. we were on the news and then I went on a Cruise when I graduated high school and I was on their news channel trying a drink and letting people know if it was  worth it or not. x'D =-D

Do you wear makeup? I was going to stop wearing at least foundation before Covid 19 came about.. cause I really rather not wear make up but, after Covid sprung about and I had no other choice but, to wear a mask on my face often. Sadly it does break my face out because I have really sensitive skin and I wear make up often again now. I still go without it though depending. Again, I rather not wear it though. =-/

What's your favorite store in the mall? I like the store I think that's called ABC gifts? If I am not making a mistake. I like Hot Topic, Spencers and Bath and Body works. ^_^''

How do you like your eggs? I like eggs scrambled, fried, boiled... I mean, it just depends really I guess. I eat more eggs during April though. x'D

What are your favorite kind of shoes? It doesn't matter to me as long as they are comfy. BOOM! I like wearing boots and sneakers though!!

What is your favorite scent? Cherry, Cherry Blossom, Sweet Orange, Vanilla, Cotton Candy, Jasmine, Eucalyptus... so on. Anything that smells fantastic basically.

Do you smoke cigarettes? I don't smoke anything at all.

What is your favorite season? Fall and Summer.

Has anyone ever told you that you have an accent? It depends... I have had people tell me that I have a NY accent but, I don't see where. A lot of people actually think I come from a foreign place which is absolutely the weirdest thing to me at least because... x.x how? I mean, I don't think that's actually possible but, I legit have people come out of no where sometimes and ask me "Where did you come from?" <.< Fxck, like what you mean by that?! lmfao

Do you have any piercings? I do. I have two holes in each of my ears and I am still thinking about getting the part on top of my ear pierced and then my nose is pierced. A lot of people seem to be lost because I don't wear the stud all the time in my nose but, yes... my nose has been pierced since I was 16.  

Do you have any siblings? I have one sister and five brothers.

What was your first word? I think my mother told me that my first word was a cuss word. x.x''

How do you like to style your hair? Recently, I have been leaving it any which way it is... for the most part. I know a little while ago though, I did manage to straighten my hair again and it's gotten a bit longer but, I need to chop dead ends off of it again. x.x

Do you like to spend your money or save it? I usually try to save money but, I get into moods where I want to go shopping too. >____< I am not completely horrible with this though.

Is your hair color your natural color? Right now, my roots are my natural hair color... it's darker then what most people think because they think the bleach blonde color is my natural hair color. I have a kind of dull/faded bleach blonde color in my hair at the moment and that's because I dyed my hair silver a while back. I absolutely loved the silver color in my hair but, I am not spending money on the silver color for it to just stay a week or two in my hair and come out quick. x.x'' I was thinking, if I was to dye it again I would try like a smoky blue color? Totally don't know about any of that at the moment though.

Do you listen to the radio? I do when I am in the car.

When was the last time you cried? I think a week ago but, it's because I was thinking about my grandma I am sure. I definitely miss her and love her a lot. <3 <3 <3

What is your biggest fear? Um, I used to fear being alone and there being no one at all that cared about me or wanted me. Honestly. I come to realize, this is can't happen because of the life I have lived and continue to live. <3 ^__^ Though, I am afraid of dolls, crickets, and the dark. x'D

Do you prefer cats or dogs? I like both cats and dogs. <3

Do you eat more healthy food or junk food? I try to eat healthy but, I am guilty for eating a lot of junk. Haha.

Do you get scared easily? It kind of depends actually. I have a bit of a morbid personality... dark personality from time to time ... depending too. I mean, just recently I did manage to read the comic Killing Stalking and that indeed was something attention grabbing and interesting for me. x.x'' Some viewers/readers probably would think otherwise. Or something that's more mild I guess... is the anime Devils Line... it's one of my faves but, that's considered I guess a dark romance.

What do you spend too much money on? Honestly, crafting supplies.

What is your favorite candy? My fave candy... errm... warheads. x'D

What is your favorite physical feature on yourself? I love everything about me just about... love myself?! <3
