someone i follow on ao3 posted an au for dw the end of time and i remembered that i have never seen it because tracking down the specials was like 0.001% more effort than normal episodes and i was over dw at the point

so i rustled up a copy and got to experience dw with my adult brain and oh boy.

#i still like all the parts i liked and disliked all the parts i disliked #the doctor being unfathomably old and willing to kill all of his kind #and especially post reveal that the daleks were not longer apart of the bargain? love it #the super special british propaganda machine was like. weak and bad writing always.#so having an adult brain go soooooo many tax payers paid for this god save the fucking queen #not substantially worse 15 years on #but also a huge lesson in things on a set do not need to be done well; they just need to be done #why does it look like that? because a tortured pa can only do so much #i just love scifi that looks cheap and shit #long live phoning it in on set #anyways i have longed my whole life for an epic romance where the doctor and the master are leashed together for all time #the tardis transformed to a white picket fence house (metaphor) and a prison for our 2 heros #i contine to be uninterested in any further dw
