weezer, you have probably heard about them before. whether you hate them or not, their huge influence can be compared to green day. the two bands lead the pop-punk scene, closely related to the older power rock scene. 'the blue album' is their most iconic work, with 'pinkerton'.

weezer, the blue album, is the debut studio album of rock band weezer. this is also the first album of the weezer discography which has the name of the band and is identified from color, shown in the album cover.

weezer, the blue album specifically, is a revolutionary album for all the guitar nerds and virgin geeks out there, not generally punks. it is upbeat, strong, and introverted at the same time. this bold energy, from the vocals to the riffs, makes this album one of a kind. imagine having this kind of relationship, whether you are the "autistic virgin" (neopunkfm) or the girl. actually the real question is how did the "autistic virgin" pull her.

weezer, the band, created a new direction alternative rock can become, they also brought the alternative rock scene to the mainstream world, revolutionizing pop-punk in the process. though not specifically emo pop (though it is), their influence grow into many more modern bands like joyce manor and paramore. in internet culture, the 'buddy holly' iconic guitar lick and the unnecessary but necessary 'blue' album cover is kind of like the 'rick roll' for chronically online music listeners.

underrated gem(s): surf wax america - WTF IS A KILOMETER core, only in dreams - the bass is so vital omg, holiday - rock has never hit harder in 3/4 time signature.
