#wwaffles bein' an idiot#wwaffles reads stuff#the style isnt fantastic and the vibes swing from alright to rancid but one thing that is interesting.#is that this writer clearly takes show not tell very seriously. characters are named but not described when in the pov#of a character who has known them for a while. additionally the type of magic and how it works is also not detailed so much as revealed#slowly over time. and now something like this. when mattie still doesnt/refuses to realize he may not be as straight as he first thought#yet the first name that comes to mind when hes hanging out with his first boy crush is also the name of the only out person in his field#these are several chapters apart btw
