❝feel free to say hi whenever you like❞ asked by @dayofazure    | Fire Emblem: Three Houses Meme.
DROWING FOR SO LONG, forgetting those parts of him which were not bound to his duty, to his many promises, the man still had minor difficulties to grasp the full extend of his newly gain FREEDOM and change of circumstances. Ultimately he still attempted to improve his own SPEECH, to view all of the Scions as his comrades in arms, of friends who shared the same goal rather than the chess pieces his once almost numb heart would have seen in them. Not because he had ever considered one of the brave and fine women and men to be   r e p l a c e a b l e  like PAWNS - but rather because he would have been the one who would have been erased from all history pages to ensure their survival. Forgotten, l o s t – being insignificant in the steady flow of time. One noble task, yet not worthy of mentioning in any ANNALS. And oh, he had found his peace in such lonely thought once.
SUFFICE TO SAY HE STILL STRUGGLED without his self-forged cage – more so when looking upon the very being who had encouraged him so. Who had  i n s p i r e d   him to follow on her path, to become the very beacon of hope for those who had none left. For far more than she would ever know. Nonetheless, he truly appreciated her rather obvious invitation. How often had he d a r e d  to call upon the Warrior of Light, the truest of all heroes, in his SELFISHNESS? Perchance far too often already, more than his CONSCIENCE could bear – even now after all things have been said and done. For it was his responsibility after all for almost  l o s i n g  her in the First, following this foolish plan of his, believing it would have been for the best.
OH, THIS ONE PART OF HIS MERGED SOUL so very well remembered their small exchanges from the First close to his final moments – the promises, the ambition to not let one word be unsaid and unheard lest it would never reach the right audience. Such simple well-meant reminder that he no longer had to  c o n c e a l  himself truly put both his mind and heart at ease. Freed like a BIRD long slumbering who now could  s o a r  higher once again, with its wings and wounds all restored. G’raha was certainly grateful for such opportunity; for another chance to breathe, to keep his word until the very end. Also to  h e r, naturally. How long had he dared to hope to speak with her as friends, without any  i n v i s i b l e  BARRIERS in between them – with no heavy burden  t h r e a t e n i n g  to crush and bury them beneath? Alas he had failed to prevent her to carry such weight all by herself until the last moment. One last REGRET he shared with his old self from the First.
The regret of not having done so much more.                  To not have moved more hearts, prevented more deaths –                  to not have brought her friends safely home far sooner.                  Blaming his own blindness after one century of observing.
NOW HE WAS A NEW INITIATE, of course – one who still failed with the simplest tasks whilst his body still fully  r e c o v e r  e d  from his awakening - from merging all the painful, traumatizing memories into one mind. He truly had to make up for one century of sleepless nightmares, of listening to his own voice – of listening to the faint whispers of ancient ages. His fate he had fulfilled, being the blessed bearer of the sanguine hues.
G’RAHAS FACIAL EXPRESSION SLIGHTLY SOFTENED once again, like so very often when facing her – and her  a l o n e. One glance of gratitude of his admirable friend, of his inspiration.

❝Can I? My thanks. ’Tis truly appreciated, my friend.         Well, I will not deny that such  g e n e r o u s  OFFER         indeed fills my heart with joy.         Although now might not be the most appropriate time, I fear.         As I said before, there’s much for me to learn as Scion initiate.         Though should you ever  r e q u i r e  my aid,         you need just to call my name, my friend.         And I will rush to your side in an instance. This I promise. ❞
