we got our first lady mayor ever for our city.
I think she will do a good job. I trust her more than the second and third place guys.
we might be okay. maybe we will be able to save ourselves for a time
#in the past 2 or more years homelessness had been getting super bad in my city. aparently its happening all over the country.#and its not normal homeless like we used to have that would be homeless for a while and then get into one of the programs and itd get better#there are a lot more people who are extremely angry and violent acting erratically and yelling and doing illegal drugs in public#and the housing services cant really keep up. so many people unhoused that the transition programs are all full and the shelters at capacity#homeless people will travel between cities and go to small towns if a new place opens. tent encanpments everywhere#the strangest thing is that it happened so suddenly and was probally due to covid and all the price gouging that landlords and stores did#anyways#thats what needs to be fixed. need some way for everyone to have safe shelter over the winter and transition to housing#theres lots of options and all of them cost money and take time
