the finale was pretty good but the final scene being an awkward solo dance party to non-diagetic music? not the best choice imo. also I always thought those wide dresses look dumb as hell
#watching catherine stick to her principles was inspiring but also frustrating because it took her so long to act#as a savvy political leader as well#like pugachev was right. the changes she wanted to make were impossible to put through because they disrupted the entire social and economi#structure of the country. thats why a violent uprising had to happen#so I wasn't exactly rooting for her to take back control from a idealogical standpoint but from a character one#because the way she learned to play the game and wrap everything up#and even channel a murderous elementary schooler's bloodlust into something beneficial for her#was genuinely impressive#hot damn. what a show#looks like 6 seasons were planned.
