apparently they've been seen in massachusetts??? wild to think that the jellyfish is vibing on both sides of the atlantic despite its size. if i ever see one i will tell it to go back over to belgium so you can see it 🫡🫡🫡

i've honestly not read a lot of the stories, but out of the ones i have read + watched the granada versions of, i think a study in scarlet and the greek interpreter are my favorites rn

i think the way their friendship and dynamic begins in a study in scarlet is hilarious and i love how energetic holmes is at the beginning and how instantly captivated and down bad watson is. it's just so funny to witness <3

the cabbie's flashback is a bit of a drag and interrupts the flow of the story imo, but it's honestly so iconic of doyle to start things off on such an anti-mormon foot, lmao

and the greek interpreter!!! i've been trying to learn greek forever bc my mom's parents are from greece and i had so much fun recognizing words and trying to piece together what the guy and the interpreter were saying during the episode. i just love when the greek language or culture gets shown in things so this story will always be my favorite for that reason <3

(i found this out after finding out i was almost stung by one of the more dnagerous jellyfish here oopsies) anyways !!! im so excited to get to the newer episodes !!!

the empty house bc !! holmes is back !! and idk it has a lot of nice moments i think :) i LOVE holmes' wax clone & his whole "I found myself in my old arm-chair in my own old room, and only wishing that I could have seen my old friend Watson in the other chair which he has so often adorned" (i think about this quote almost every day. ADORNED?!! interesting word choice there for sure) the obvious emotion of it all & the bookseller bit is so good as well!!

the copper beeches bc i love the mystery of it! & i love violet hunter :) shes so so brave?? what is it with brave violets in the holmes stories?? i love the vibes of it too. this weird house that seems perfectly normal but clearly something is up, the kid kills things for fun, the parents want you to dress up & follow their commands, they get really defensive about you entering certain areas, she finds identical hair to hers in a closet?? its so so creepy & i love it :)
